Read the Bible With Me
Numbers 16-19
Hey everybody so this is read the Bible with me and I am on numbers chapter 16 as you can see right there I'm on numbers chapter 16 I'm gonna get right into it but just so you know this is a read the Bible with me the new international version I do commentary and revelation as I read I have another YouTube channel that actually has the new King James version where it's just reading the Bible I do not give commentary maybe on some videos I do but I'm not supposed to be in that one in some of those I give comment well I'm not supposed to be even commentary on those but it's just read the Bible it is the full Bible new King James version it is on my YouTube channel Lisa Rohiro this is on revealing his glory ministries and so this one is allowing people to see that the Bible is not just a book but it's open as you read it okay so I'm just gonna say a quick prayer and then we're gonna get right into it Father God I thank you I thank you for who you are and I thank you for who you are to us Father as we read your word Lord God I pray that you open our mind our spirit and our heart to receive what it is that you have for us to receive Father I thank you for illuminating your word Father God that your light may shine through and we may grasp the understanding of what you are trying to say but you said if there is no if there is no revelation or if there is no understanding of truth there is no light and I thank you Lord God that you are given us understanding and wisdom that we may learn and walk and got in your guidance and in your ways in Jesus name Amen Amen okay so let me make this smaller and then we push this this side there we go okay Cora numbers chapter 16 Cora date in an Abram Cora son of Isar the son of Kohath the son of Levi and certain Rubenites Dothan and Abram sons of Aliaab and on son of Peleth became insolent and rose up against Moses with them were 250 Israelite men well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council they came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them you have gone too far the whole community is holy every one of them and the Lord is with them why do you set yourselves above the Lord's assembly when Moses heard this he fell face down then he said to Cora and all his followers excuse me then he said to Cora and all his followers in the morning the Lord will show who belongs to him and who is holy and he will have that person come near him the man he chooses he will cause to come near him you Cora and all your followers are to do this take sensors and tomorrow put burning coals and incense in them before the Lord the man the Lord chooses will be the one who was holy you Levi to gone too far Moses also said to Cora now listen you leave lights is it enough that you isn't it enough isn't it enough for you that the god of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the Lord's tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them he has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself but now you are trying to get the priesthood to it is against it is against the Lord that you and all your followers have banded together who is Aaron that you should grumble against him then Moses summoned Nathan Abram in the sins of Eliab but they say we will not come isn't it enough that you have brought us up out of the land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness and now you also want to to Lord it over us moreover you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards do you want to treat these men like slaves no we will not come I start reading and I get sleepy then Moses became very angry and said to the Lord do not accept their offering I have not taken so much as a donkey from them nor have I wronged any of them Moses said to Cora you and all your followers are to appear before the Lord tomorrow you and they and Aaron each man is to take his sensor and put incense in it two hundred fifty sensors and all and presented before the Lord you and Aaron are to present your sensors also so each of them took his sensor putting burning coals and incense in it and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance of the 10th meeting when Cora had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance of the 10th of meeting the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire assembly the Lord said to Moses and Aaron separate yourselves from the this assembly so I can put an end to them at once but Moses and Aaron fell face down and cried out oh God oh the God who gives breath and the God who gives breath to all the main things you will be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins then the Lord said to Moses say to the assembly move away from the 10th of Cora day thin and Abram Moses got up and went to day thin and Abram and the elders of Israel followed him he warned the assembly move back from the 10th of these wicked men do not touch anything belonging to them or you will be swept away because of all their sense so they moved away from the 10th of Cora day thin and Abram day thin and Abram had come out day thin and Abram had come out and were standing with their wives children and little ones at the entrance of their tents then Moses said this is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea if these men die in natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind then the Lord has not sent me but if the Lord brings about something totally new and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them with everything that belongs to them and they go down alive into the realm of the dead then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt as soon as he finished saying all of this the ground under them split apart and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households and all the those associated with Cora together with their positions they went down alive into the earth into the realm of the dead with everything they owned the earth closed over them and they perished and were gone from the community at their cries all the Israelites around them fled chatting the earth is going to swallow us too and the fire came from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense the Lord said to Moses tell Eliezer son of Aaron the priest to remove the sensors from the charred remains and scattered the coals some distance away where the sensors are holy the sensors are the sensors of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives hammer the sensors into sheets to overlay the altar for they were presented before the Lord and have become holy let them be assigned to the Israelites so Eliezer the priest collected the bronze sensors brought by those who had been burned to death and he had them hammered out to overlay the altar as the Lord directed him through Moses this was remind this was to remind the Israelites that no one except to send an Aaron could come to burn incense before the Lord or he would become like Cora and his followers the next day the whole Israel like community grumbled against Moses and Aaron you have killed the Lord's people they said but when they assembly gathered an opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the tent of meeting suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the Lord appeared then Moses and Aaron went to the front of the tent of meeting and the Lord said to Moses get away from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once and they fell face down then Moses said to Aaron take your sensor and put incense in it along with burning coals from the altar and hurry to assembly to make atonement for them wrath has come out from the Lord the plague has started so Aaron did as Moses said and ran into the midst of the assembly the plague had already started among the people but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them he stood between the living and the dead and the plague stopped but 14700 people died from the plague in addition to those who had died because of Cora then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance to the tent of meeting for the plague had stopped chapter 17 the Lord said to Moses speak to the Israelites and get 12 staffs from them one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes write the name of each man on his staff on the staff of Levi write Aaron's name for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe place him in the tent of meeting in front of the ark in the covenant in front of the ark of the covenant law where I meet with you the staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout and I will rid myself of this constant rumbling against you by the Israelites so Moses spoke to the Israelites and their leaders gave him 12 staffs one of the leader one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes and Aaron's staff was among them Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent in the tent of the covenant law the next day Moses entered the tent and saw that Aaron's staff which represented the tribe of Levi had not only sprouted but had butted blossomed and produced almonds then Moses brought out all the staffs from the Lord's presence saw the Israelites they took at they looked at them and each of the elders each of the leaders took his own staff the Lord said to Moses put back Aaron's staff in front of the ark of the covenant law to be kept as assigned to the rebellious this will put an end to their grumbling against me so that they will not die Moses dated just as the Lord commanded him the Israelites it to Moses we will die we are lost we are all lost anyone who can anyone who ever comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die we are all going to die chapter 18 the Lord said to Aaron you your sons and your family are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the sanctuary and you on your sons are alone and you and your sons alone are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the priesthood bring your fellow Levi it's from your ancestral tribe to join you and assist you when you and your sons minister before the tent of the covenant law they are to be responsible to you and they are to be responsible to you and are to perform all the duties of the tent but they must not go near the furnishings of the sanctuary or the altar otherwise both they and you will die they are to join you and be responsible for the care of the tent of meeting all the work at the tent and no one else may come near where you are you are to be responsible for the care of the sanctuary and the altar so that my wrath will not fall on the Israelites again I myself has selected your fellow Levi it's from among the Israelites as a gift to you dedicated to the Lord to do the work at the tent of meeting but only you and your sons may serve as precinct connection with me in connection with everything at the altar and inside the curtain I'm giving you the service of the priesthood as a gift anyone else who comes near the sanctuary as we put to death he's giving the service of the priesthood as a gift verse eight then the Lord said to Aaron I myself have put you in charge of the offerings presented to me all the holy offerings the Israelites give me I give to you and your sons as a court as your portion your perpetual share you are to have the part of the most holy offerings that is kept from the fire from all the gifts they bring me as most holy offerings whether grain or sin or a guilt offerings that part belongs to you and your sons eat it as something most holy every male shall eat it you must regard it as holy this also is yours whatever is set aside from the gifts of all the wave offerings of the Israelites I give this to you and your sons and daughters as your perpetual share everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean ceremonially clean may eat it or give you all the finest olive oil and all the finest new wine and grain they give to the Lord as the first fruits of their harvest all the lands first fruits that they bring to the Lord will be yours everyone in your household who is ceremonially clean may eat it everything in Israel that is devoted to the Lord is yours the first offspring of every womb both human and animal that is offered to the Lord is yours but you must redeem every first born so that every first born male of unclean animals when they are a month old you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekels a silver according to the sanctuary shekels which weighs twenty gear us but you must not redeem the first born of a cow sheep or goat they are holy splash their blood against the altar and burn their first fat as a food offering an aroma pleasing to the Lord their meat is to be yours just as the breast of the wave offering and the right thigh are yours whatever is that aside from the holy offerings Israelites present to the Lord I give to you and your sons and daughters as a is your perpetual share it is an everlasting covenant of salt before the Lord for both you and your offspring the Lord said to Aaron you will have no inheritance in the land in their land nor will you have any share among them I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites 21 I give the Levites all the time I give to the Levites all the time the Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting from now on the Israelites must not go near the tent of meeting where they will bear the consequences of their own of their sin and will die it is the Levites who are to do the work and who are to do the work at the tent of meeting and bear the responsibility for any offenses they commit against it this is the lasting ordinance for the generations to come they will receive no inheritance among the Israelites instead I give to the Levites as their inheritance the ties of the Israelites present as an offering to the Lord what that is why I said concerning them they have no inheritance among the among Israelites the Lord said to Moses speak to the Levites and say to them when you receive from the Israelites the tide I give you as your inheritance you must present a tenth of what the tide as long you must present a tenth of that tide as long as the Lord's offering your offering will be reckoned to you as grain from the threshing floor or juice from the wine press in this way you will you also will present an offering to the Lord from all the tithes you receive from the Israelites from these sides you must give the Lord's portion to air in the priest you must present as the Lord's portion the best and holiest part of everything given to you say to the Israelites then you present the best part it will be reckoned to you as the product of the threshing floor or the wine press you and your households may eat the rest of it anywhere for it is your wages for your work at the tent of meeting by presenting the best part of it you will not be guilty in this matter then you will not defile the holy offerings of the Israelites and you will not die oh my gosh I'm so sleepy I woke up I woke up late last night and I couldn't go back to sleep let's see how long this is because this is going to be my last chapter probably no I can't do it if I try to I'm going to want to go to sleep now to go back to work so let me just try it so chapter 19 the Lord said to Moses and Aaron this is a requirement of a law that the Lord has commanded to the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defector blemish and that has never been under a yoke give it to a laisseur the priest it is to be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence then a laisseur the priest is to take some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle it seven times with the front of the tent of meeting while he watches the heiferous be burned hide flesh blood and intestines the priest is to take some clear cedar wood his slip and scarlet wool and throw them into the fire to the burning heifer throw them on to the burning heifer after that the priest must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water he may then come into the camp but he will be ceremonially unclean till evening the man who burns him must also wash his clothes and bathe with water and he too will be unclean till evening a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them into a ceremonially a clean place outside the camp there to be kept by the Israelite community for use in the water of cleansing it is purification from sin the man who gathers up the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes and he too will be unclean till evening this will be a lasting ordinance both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them whoever touches a human corpse will be unclean for seven days and must purify themselves with the water on the third day and on the seventh day then they will be clean but if they do not purify themselves on the third and seventh days it will not be clean they fail to purify themselves after touching a human corpse they defile the Lord's tabernacle they must be cut off from the Israel because the water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on them they are unclean and unclean this remains on them this is the law that applies when a person dies in a tent anyone who enters a tent and anyone who is in it will be unclean for seven days and everyone and every open container without a lid fastened on it will be unclean anyone out in the open who touches someone who has killed with a sword or someone who has died a natural death or anyone who touches a human bone or a grave will be unclean for seven days for the unclean person must for the unclean person put some ashes from the burn purification offering into a jar and pour fresh water over them then a man who was ceremonially clean is to take some hiss up dip it in the water and sprinkle the tent in all the furnishings and the people who were there dip it in the water and sprinkle the tent in all the furnishings and the people who were there he must also sprinkle anyone who has touched a human bone or a grave or anyone who has been killed or anyone who has died a natural death the man who is to clean the man who is clean to the man who is clean is to sprinkle those who are unclean on the third and seventh days and on the seventh day he has to purify them those who are being clean must wash their clothes and bathe with water and that everything they will and that evening they will be clean but if those who are unclean do not purify themselves they must be cut off from the community because they have defiled the sanctuary of the lord the water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on them and they are unclean this is a lasting ordinance for them the man who sprinkles the water of cleansing must also wash his clothes and everyone who touches the water of cleansing will be unclean till evening everything that an unclean person touches becomes unclean and everyone and anyone who touches it becomes unclean till evening okay guys that's all I can do right now because I'm getting very very very sleepy I love you God loves you goodbye
