En un reino lejano, David, un joven pastor, recibe el encargo del rey de crear una gran cantidad de velas para su fiesta. Sin embargo, al encontrar a María y José buscando refugio, decide sacrificar sus velas para ayudarlos, arriesgando su sueño. Milagrosamente, un arcángel le revela que ángeles del cielo repondrán su trabajo. Así, David cumple su misión y establece la tradición de adornar las casas con velas cada 7 de diciembre, recordándonos que la verdadera luz brilla a través de la bondad y la generosidad.
