I'll beat that winch in it. Stop it. Hey, she has really good taste, and she does a great job. Until you come out. And I try to outdo it. Yeah. Power one on one seven in Ocean City, Maryland. Where are you checking in from this night? Hey, baby, again, yeah, where are you checking in from? I'm in Santa Ana, California. Oh, wow. Well, we appreciate you getting up early with us. First off, happy holidays to you and your family. And I'm sure, you know, like how you guys celebrate or whatever. But you guys, you celebrate Thanksgiving. You guys getting ready? Oh, yeah, man. Thank God the grocery stores are open, right? Right. Right. How do you guys do it? Do you go over? You have it to your house? Do you cook? Do you go over to somebody's house? How do you do it? You know, as you do it the American way. I mean, whoever's cooking, you go over there. If you're cooking, you have them come over your house. And yeah. It's the community family feel. Man, that's awesome. That's great. Yeah. Definitely looking forward to it. You know what? Years ago, I saw you in New York at Caroline's. I'm pretty sure it was Caroline's. My wife and I went to New York City and we didn't even know. I think you were like a special guest. We didn't even know you were going to be there and you popped up and that's how I kind of like put me on to you. You know, of course, they live in color, but I mean, as far as like a stand-up comedian. And you know, it was great. It was great. So did you still do pop ins? It like I knew Caroline's isn't around, but some of the comedy clubs, you still do that? Oh, yeah. That's the gig, man. Got to keep your head out there, man. Yep. And when living color started, you know, I started really, um, headlining. Yeah. At the club, but I had been, you know, opening and doing this other thing. So that's very typical of a night of a comic, who's looking advantage of getting in front of people so they can know he's actually there, you know what I mean? Yeah. That's really cool. You stole that story. That's cool. Yeah. I mean, I really like, I knew, I recognize you from, you know, living color, but you know, we really didn't like, you know, at first, like it wasn't like we were going to see Tommy Davidson. You just happened to be, I think show up is like a pop in. Surprise. Yeah. And I was like, man, this dude is, this dude is on it. So it was a, it was a cool night. Um, do they, do they have the same kind of thing out in LA as they do in New York? I mean, I don't know even what's left out there. I know, you know, maybe the seller in, in New York, do they still do like pop ins like that? What are some of the clubs that you go to? The club all around the country, all around the country, but then God, comedy is still alive. Yeah. I went out there during the pandemic, the clubs that almost got closed, you know, and there's a nice network of clubs around the country that are open and healthy. And, and I, I, I got my steady schedule, you want to date the year. Wow. And, and, um, ministering happy. Yeah. That's awesome. That's, that's great. Man. What are some of your favorite places to go perform? Oh, everywhere. Yeah. I mean, they, they're just all over the country, you know, they're, they're, they're, they're against. I'll say everywhere. I'll say some Boston all the way to the coast, all the way up to, you know, down to the floor. They're down to the south. I'm, I'm, I'm a, I am comics, bro. As, as we grow and as we age, we like to go like further down south, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, when we're young, you know, it's all about all got to be in New York, got to be, you know, and, and, uh, Northeast now, no, we want to go down, uh, you know, down south. Are we wrapping up for you today for me? Right. So how did you talk, talk to us about how you got into music? Um, you got a new collaboration. It's called stronger earth wind and fire. It's going to be on all platforms by Thanksgiving. Um, how did you get into music and then let's talk about a stronger earth wind and fire. How you hooked up with them? Well, it's, it's, it's my progression as an entertainer. Right. I go from a comedian, good actor, from an actor who, who what's next, you know what I mean? I go from TV to film from film to now it's from film to music. Right. And, and I'm just glad that I was blessed with all these problems because there's somewhere to put it that can make someone happy. No, my wisdom is giving me, uh, uh, a surprise gift. Yeah. Knowing that I have a gift to make someone feel better about life. Mm hmm. So stronger is one of those things. I was inspired by earth wind and fire as a kid. I moved to LA 35 years ago. I met them in housing. They became big fans of mine. We became like, like, post friends and I decided to get into music. They were interested. If they can read, can we come in and be a part of that thing? I said, yeah, man, you know, and, and they did, they did. That's awesome. That's great. And it's out now. So the kids that got, the kids that got, you know, what the earth wind and fire is. What's the way of the world album for Christmas? Mm hmm. So enjoy the holidays with earth wind and fire and its own song. I mean, come on. Can't beat it. Can't beat it. No, that's great. So congratulations on all your success. I mean, you know, you know, you say it's like a progression of your career or whatever. Going over to like singing and music and all that, but not, not, not, not everybody can do that. You know, I mean, that's a, you got to have the talent. You know, you don't want to hear everybody sing. Right. Yeah. I like it. I like it. I'm glad that have been, have been raised in a time where people paid a lot of attention to how their music that's the people thinking, you know, and, and I'm not one to be disturbed by these clowns and politics that, you know, take the place in office, then all of a sudden I've some kind of influence on people outlook on their own country. No one tells me that, that, that my fellow Americans aren't my Americans anymore. Right. Can't do that to me. I know that my fellow Americans are my fellow Americans because people with me are World War Two. They were with me during slavery. They were with me during the Holocaust. People with me. They were with me. No one split up in half and threw us into the ocean. Yeah. No. I mean, for my contention in common, stronger is we're stronger Americans because we are American. Mm hmm. Absolutely agree. I don't remember any single political party that stopped, you know, from being good neighbors. Right. Well, you know what, the machine likes to tell us that we're divided, but really in real life, real life, people were a little bit more similar than a lot of people think. You know what I mean, yeah, let me tell you something. We really are. We go to the same school with the same bread, right, use the same gasoline, use the same sugar. We don't look the same and thank God. Yes. That's what makes our country so funky and beautiful and different and amazing. Yeah, and you know, yeah, I will say, you know, when we go to, you know, sporting events and all that, nobody asks you what political party you're with. Nobody asks you who you voted for. Nobody asks you all that. We're a lot. We're a lot of the same and people don't even realize it. Is there anything else that you're working on? Yeah, I see you're maybe shooting some films, you got some films coming out as well. By the end of the year. I got a Christmas film coming out right now. Okay. On top of just producing everything, like my company called one song and I decided that I'm going to do whatever I want to do because this is not, you know, this is one life I got. So I live it good. I'm going to live it great. I know that's right. Yes. Yes. I, you know, and, you know, one of the things that I noticed is someone's in a car. I sit in and people are helping them or for kids having problems in school with math. No one ever asked how much appearance having the bank. You're right. You're right. Run by the bank. And we're not run by the people that I've got this love of money. We have a love of life. Yeah. Period. We came up with stronger so that somebody can finally, finally listen to the real truth of the matter is, if that has, we are okay right now if we weren't, we wouldn't be. Love it. Love it. New collaboration, stronger earth, winning fire on all platforms by Thanksgiving. Tommy Davison, we appreciate you. You're an inspiration. You also make us laugh. Yeah. Great. Great guy, man. Thank you so much. Thank you guys. And the, and the phone is about a little black boy and a little white boy who ended up in Hollywood. Oh, nice. Love it. Love it. Thank you so much. My friend. We appreciate it. Thank you, man. Love you guys. Like always, man. You too.
