It is time for our belt wavelets. We're covering the caps, the whiz, the commanders, let's do it. And we start with our guy, John Walton, who's on the call for capital sake again tonight. The dad's trip continues in Florida. The good guys got a win against the Panthers in a hard fought game. I thought, John, closer than the four one score with the two empty netters, but they really needed it. And now they can try to get to 500 without OV seven 30 puck drop in Tampa tonight. Yeah, I thought in Florida, you're facing a team that are defending camps, obviously. And I think when talking with Spencer Carberry afterwards, just very responsible with their details in the defensive zone and whenever they had a chance to break a puck back out, they did. They were able to really generate some speed off the rush and getting from their out of their own zone very quickly. If you're watching tonight, take a look at how quickly they're moving against Tampa because that's going to be a key tonight as well. They're also going to have to try and get to Andre Vasolowski. The only time they've really had a hiccup all season in terms of offense because the caps are still the number one team of the NHL in terms of goals per game was when we were here last time. A few weeks ago, they got shot out by Vasolowski. Going to need a little bit more where that came from against Florida when they take them on here tonight. So I know the offense hasn't been high-flying like it was when, you know, when OV was health and available, John, I actually thought they had a really good offensive game the other night. I know the two infinite goals made it look better, but they had a billion grade A chances it felt like it felt like they were big back. You know, you're not going to be as good without eight, but still pretty damn impressive. An economic Michael, probably could have had a hat trick was robbed the few different times. I was impressed with their offensive output the other night. Yeah. You should be on a coaching step. And that was pretty much word for word, which Spencer said to me, I mean, they talked after the game in terms of number chances, thought they had somewhere in the vicinity of 20. Florida were only about 12, so they held them down in their zone, but they were able to get some pretty good looks. And in doing so, I mean, those are the kinds of things that when they play the lightning tonight, if you're getting just perimeter shots on the outside, look, you can get 40 shots on goal. But if you're not getting those grade A between the dots, get down and dirty chances. And the one thing that Vasquez does really well is to be able to see around traffic to be able to make that safe. So if you're not getting those first grade A chances, the second chances are even better. Get him moving a little bit, because he is one of the best, I mean, he's the fastest in NHL history to 300 wins. He's done that since we were here last. So to be able to get to him, it's got to be a superior effort. It's nice to have the dads along for that because you want to be able to have a kind of fun that you had the other night after beating Florida, hopefully they can do that against him and the lightning tonight too. John, what do you make of the defensive end of the ice? So much of focus on how much they score, no OV, how they're going to get goals. I mean, they've now got their defensive pairs settled in because guys have come back from injury and played together enough. What do you see on that end of the ice? I think you're taking away a lot of time and space against Florida the other night. I mean, they're trying to make a play along the board and there's always somebody there and read to take it away and I think the assignments and the routes that they're running to get to the boards to be able to hem them in. They can't get a puck behind the net, they cut it off and then they move it very quickly. I think speed when you're watching, you know, especially down low, they're going to take out the player first and then they've got the puck, the quick pass behind the net, quick pass out and they're gone and that's working as a five man unit to be able to get that puck quickly out the center. I thought they did it brilliantly the other night. They really have for the most part this year against a team like Tampa Bay, they are susceptible defensively. The one good thing about tonight is that the six in front of Asolevsky, they can be beat. I mean, there's not this, you know, terrific, vaunted defensive unit, they're all right, but they're not, you know, you can get your chances is what I'm saying. So you got to be able to do that first. And if you're doing that because you're doing it well, getting out of your zone, that's kind of the key tonight. They did it well against Florida, they'll have to do it tonight too. John, give me a state of the union on special teams. A power play has been good. And that's been a change because it wasn't good. Very good at getting the pucks out and getting it into the zone quickly, zone entries were a real problem of the power play and a penalty kill under Scotty Allen is just superb. I mean, they're just they're number one in the NHL right now as they get ready. I'd number one of the road that is number three overall and that they're just not giving anybody any time and space at all. I mean, it's just been a terrific effort by all involved in a PK special teams are good. You're going to win a lot of hockey games. That's why the caps do John, favorite Thanksgiving food I'm a big out of the can cranberry guy. I love it. You know, the gelatinous mess that comes out of the can that's Thanksgiving to me. Everything else is good, but that's the part I go to the most. We just had a 16 pick Thanksgiving draft here on Grant and Danny. They were left on the board. Nobody took them. It makes me an odd ball, I think. I love that moment of reveal, John, when you, when the can is lifted and you leave it. I love the ones that shaped like a can. Yes, it's the best. That's great. Yeah. It's that little suction sound. It comes down a little pop and it plops out of the plate. That's that's the storm right there. That's what you need tomorrow. Love it. Thanks, buddy. Wonderful holiday. All right. Thanks guys. You too. You got it. That's our guy, John Walton. Let's talk. Oops. Right in DC sports, the whiz are in action. They are hosting the Clippers 2 and 14 wizards with a 12 game winning losing streak now. That would be crazy. They had a 12 game winning streak. Everybody Chase Hughes joins us on Grant and Danny. So Chase, let's just start with kind of painting with a broad brush on this losing streak. What have you noticed and what do they got to clean up? Yeah. Someday we'll be talking about the 12 game winning streak, but right now it is a losing streak. And defense is the biggest reason why, you know, the Wizards added a lot of defensive pieces this offseason and that included Alex are the second overall pick who's been one of the better shot blockers in the league, but it just hasn't come together. They're still 30th in defense. They have to get better in a lot of different areas. I think defensive rebounding, even though they're marginally better than they were last year. I think Jonas Valentine's deserves a lot of credit for that, but he only plays like 20 minutes tonight. That would be a good area to start. But their defense has just not been consistently good enough to keep them in games. And it was a real problem about a week ago, and Brian Keith had some pretty strong comments about it in a postgame press conference and they responded against the Boston Celtics, the defending champs in their first game after that. But, you know, they got to find a way to do it more consistently. Chase, two things. One, a quick little congratulations. Our guy Chase is doing any game on the radio party doing some like sideline report commentary analysis stuff. I got really, really cool. Way to go. Yeah. 100% in favor of that. Second question. I don't know what's going on with Kyle Kuzma just yet. It feels like there have been some changes last year at the ball in his hands way more. It feels like it just hasn't kind of gotten in rhythm. It isn't quite set. To me, the way to do that is let's do some dirty things. Let's go get a bunch of rebounds and start to break that way. He had one board the other night, for example. It just feels like he's a passenger at this point, and he's too skilled for that. What do you see him from Kuzma? Yeah, first of all, thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'm honored to join Dave and Glenn on the broadcast. But when it comes to Kyle Kuzma, first of all, he had a groin injury earlier in the season. So he's been on kind of an unofficial minutes restriction. So I think that's one thing to note, but I think it's really been just about the adjustment to a new offense for the Wizards and a lot of new players on the team and the new offense essentially takes the ball out of his hands as often as it was the last few years, and he's playing more off the ball. And they've got these rookies who are getting a ton of touches for rookies. Like they're running a lot of their offense through the rookie players. So I think he's got to adjust to that. He's got to kind of defer to the rookies a little bit. And honestly, the more I've seen him sort of work through this adjustment, it reminds me of how easy he made it look to previous three years when his role was evolving. But as his role was changing, he was getting the ball more often. And now it's a little bit less often, so he's got to make another adjustment. But having gone through something similar the last few years, I think he'll ultimately be fine. How's Jordan pull self? So we don't get a whole lot of specifics from head coach Brian Keith. That's kind of the way the Wizards do things now. But he's missed the last two games and it's not considered serious. It's kind of a day to day thing, but basically he fell on his left tip and bruised it up pretty bad. I think you knew it was bad if he was missing one game much less too, because this guy is one of the most durable players in the league. He's only missed six games since he got traded to the Wizards. He's only missed 12 games the last four years. And you know, I've been kind of paying attention this season about just how he's got fingers wrapped up on both hands like he'll tweak his ankle, tweak his knee. It looks like he's heard he'll stay in the game. So it must have been pretty painful, but given his track record of basically very rarely missing games, I'm sure he'll be back very soon. What do we need to know about the Clippers game tonight? Yeah, so the Clippers are missing Kawhi Leonard, who of course is their best player and has had some trouble staying healthy. And when that injury first went down, he's going to be out for a long time. A lot of people thought that they'd stumble that, you know, that they actually owe their drastic to the Thunder and it's unprotected. So people were saying, Oh, you know, maybe the Thunder who are already really good will get Cooper flag or a fairly, but the Clippers have been one of the surprise teams in the league. You know, James Hardin's got to turn back the clock a little bit. He's having a really good year. Norm Powell is banged up. He might not play tonight, but he's also having a great year and if it gets you back, there's a really good center who I think is going to be a tough matchup for Alex Tsar because he's big, he's strong and he plays around the rim, which is, you know, something that Alex Tsar has shown an ability to do is protect the rim. But, you know, this is probably going to be a little bit of a different challenge in terms of the size and physicality from what he's seen so far this season. Jay Spree, or really appreciated buddy, congrats again and have a great Thanksgiving, bud. Absolutely. Thanks guys. You too. Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you, my friend. Hit that local 53 sounder. Okay. Stephen Wino will talk about the local at 53. Swine Oh, great. Now we're kicking this around. The phrase must win is like reserved for when you're down three games, the night in a series or something like that. That's fine. Don't use that term. I'm basically saying they need to win this weekend for a million reasons on field, off field narratives, trend lines, losing three straight, et cetera, just to validate the program. This one's pretty essential against a three and 18. Yeah. It's a got to win game and maybe not a must win game, but you considering the three losses in a row, even the first two being good to better teams, they lost the Cowboys who clearly are not a better team or not as good a team. All these injuries, the Titans are coming in at three and eight. I know Brian Callahan today said they're not dead yet, but this is a team that even though winning at Houston, the commander should win there. They're almost a touchdown favorite for a reason and to add to all the narrative and all that, going into the bye week, if you have two weeks to think about this and two weeks to let this linger, a four game losing streak really puts the teams playoff channels in danger. I was surprised to see Brian Robinson was practicing some today. Yeah. Yeah. And trending toward playing and I think that the commander's DWP does it to be able to to run on Sunday. Otherwise, it's going to be a lot of the Chris Rodriguez show as we saw against the giants when Brian Robinson was a late scratch. It was a weird one on Sunday, we were all there and he hurts the ankle, he's down for a long time, comes back, injures it again. And this is troubling now. He's been hamstring the knee and the ankle for Brian Robinson, but if he is able to go, I have to imagine that Cliff Kingsbury is going to use him as much as possible if he can go. Tennessee's defense is pretty good. What's the best way to attack it? Yeah, I think balance and that's nothing new, but for them, something Cliff Kingsbury's offense was really good at early in the year and hasn't been good at lately. And Brian Robinson's injury being a part of it is being able to mix and match. And really, we saw CJ Shroud last week and turn it all over twice with two interceptions. Don't turn it all over against this team because they're really good at it. They're good at forcing turnovers. And we saw this with the John Bates fumble. We saw it with the ball getting ripped out of Brian Robinson's hands the other day that this is the commanders of maybe with fatigue and the late bye week and all that, been more turnover prone lately than they were earlier in the season. The Titans come at you and if there's not a sort of a balance attack, they're going to be able to pin their ears back at an offensive line that will be missing right tackle Andrew Wiley on Sunday. Can you give us a marsh on a lot of more updates? Yeah, limited in practice today, seeing them do a little bit more stuff on the field and a little bit more involved. The commanders didn't trade for this guy not to have him playing against guys like CD game lamb. And now you've got Calvin really coming in the same sort of target. This would be the target date for playing. But if there's any doubt and Dan Quinn's been saying this consistently, the soft tissue injury with a hamstring there for Marshall, a lot of more that if there's any chance that he could aggravate it worse, they're not going to play him. They're going to play it safe. You should be able to be the Tennessee Titans without him and be able to bring him back after the bye week fully healthy. But I think everybody on this defense and Joe Whitt and Dan quit would love to see what this unit looks like with Marshall and a lot of more walking down the outside. So we've seen the numbers here of late where Tara McCorn I think is third or fourth in targets over the over the last several weeks and that's just not enough. And I think everyone's saying the right thing about getting the football. But will they get in the football? The problem is and Jaden Daniels has said this I asked him about a few weeks ago is when it's available when Tara McCorn is open, he gets in the ball, but the real key is going to be trying to make sure defenses stay honest with Noah Brown, Luke McCaffrey, Deami Brown, even Zach Arts to be able to open things up because when you have one number one receiver and a bunch of number three number four receivers, it's very easy for a defense to key in on let's double Tara McClarn. Let's make sure you take him away from Jaden Daniels and make other receivers beat you until the commanders show that they can spread that Jaden Daniels in that offense can spread the ball around to folks other than to receive other than Tara McClarn. And now without Austin Echler as a pass catching option out of the back field, that's a significant challenge. So I know what is your number one seed item on the plate at Thanksgiving? Oh, stuffing. My mom makes a stuffing with sausage in it, so I'll do stuffing over turkey any day of the week. Well, you should. Yeah, that's correct. That's correct. So do you have turkey on the plate or not even? Yes. Oh, yeah. No, there's turkey on the plate. There's green beans, there's cranberry sauce. But to me, the main event is the side. Green beans is interesting. My guy, Swino's getting his vegetables. Oh, we got to bounce out a little bit of the pumpkin pie and a turkey with some vegetables. There's some green stuff on the plate. But do you? But like you said, it's like you're a grown up now. Don't you? You really have to. Who's making when you were a kid, you did. You know, out Michael's has never eaten a vegetable one time in his life with that. You know what? That's the most amazing stat. More amazing than Wayne Gretzky has more assist than anybody else at the point, but no vegetable thing. But I'd like to stay around long enough to be able to tell these stories in 30 years. So I'm mixing the odd vegetable or chips. I like it. Thanks, Swino. Thank you, Swino. Thanks, Abby. I got his work in the AP. That is your beltway blitz. All right. News is not as good on Austin Echler and Andrew Wiley, both in the concussion protocol and very much up in the air. The status now of Marshawn Latimore, who was limited today. I watched video of him running around. I don't know how much I should speculate, but to me, he looked like he was moving gingerly still. He did not look like he was a hundred percent full go. And maybe that's by design. It's Wednesday. Maybe it's a jog through whatever, but it was not twitchy and explosive and he I'm going to go sprint. I mean, he looked like a guy who's coming back from a hamstring injury. Yeah, who's still a little leery of his hamstring. So I just kind of glanced at it quickly, just the small amount of video that we saw and that's what it looked like to me too. Now I don't know if it was a hey, go hard and he couldn't or if it's hey, take it easy. As you said, it's Wednesday. We're working our way back. Last week, Danny, we talked about the commanders and the Cowboys leading up to what should have been a bloodletting of Dallas and it ended up being a loss. It has changed my sight line on this weekend's game and on this team. I am still going to pick Washington to win, but all the confidence that I had about their good and their opponents bad and this is a game you should win handily. All of that is now gone. I don't feel that way anymore, but the topic at hand with the Titans coming to town on Sunday is what makes you confident and what makes you nervous. So I'll start with what makes me confident and what makes me confident is that Will Levis is going to keep you in the game. Even if the Titans play really, really well and Levis is accurate, making plays down the field and they're running the ball well with Tony Pollard who ripped off another 100 yards last week. They're really, really good. Some weeks running the football look like one of the best in the league. They've got a good defense, which we'll get into. Will Levis is going to turn the ball over. He has been picked off and all but one game this season at least once. He gets sacked at a ridiculous rate. The last three weeks he's been sacked 20 times. He was sacked eight weeks by the eight times last week by the Texans. He was sacked seven times a couple of weeks before that by the Chargers five times by the Vikings. He had an eight sack game earlier this year at the hands of the Packers and he gets sacked constantly. So I think what I feel best about what I'm excited about and what I'm confident about is they're going to get to Levis. The pass rush will look better this week because he holds the ball. He has no feel in the pocket whatsoever. Kind of runs into sacks, makes bad decisions. I think they're going to hit him and they're going to turn him over. That's one thing I feel good about. So this is telling to me that my sources of confidence are not Washington related. That kind of has changed my entire island. If he'd asked me two months ago, why am I confident? Jay Daniels is better than anybody he's going to go up against. The offense is excellent. They can run the ball down. People's throats. They're going to dominate this game. My confidence points, just thinking about what you were talking about are very Tennessee related, which I think is telling in and of itself, but I'll get back to it. Tennessee's offense has only scored more than 20 points twice this year in 11 games. They've scored under 20 points eight times over the course of the season. Now, just so happens, the most recent game, they had 32 against Houston. That was their best game of the year, I think by far, especially on that side of the football. But in general, this is not a good offense. When Washington's defense has played not a good offense, they do more than enough to keep their team in the game. What makes you nervous about this game, 806361067, what gives you confidence about playing the Titans, 806361067? Confidence I just mentioned that Tennessee's offense isn't particularly good. I know what just happened last week, but a bigger sample says, meh, at best. Here's what makes me nervous. Washington's offense, the Rubik's cube has been solved. The puzzle has been solved. Every answer is available. They're making the rounds. Everyone's got like a, the fraternity brother got like a cheat sheet and he's iroxing it for everybody to go into the final and ace it and Tennessee's got a good defense and could take advantage of it. I think there's no mystery right now with Washington's offense and Tennessee can wreak havoc. What I would be nervous about is I guess same side of the ball, frankly, but they are good defensively. Not for a bad team, not for a three-win team, flat out, full stop. They're a really good defensive club. This is a playoff caliber team. Sometimes I view NFL clubs like by position group or whatever, you could go side of the ball and you could say, well, that's a six-win offense. That's a two-win special teams if they're really bad. This is probably an 11 or a 12-win defense in my opinion, like they're that good. If you look at yards per play as the metric, Tennessee defensively this year has ranked in the top five, pretty much circuit to circuit and right now this moment, they are number three in the NFL in defense. They're number six against the run and they're number three against the pass. This is not going to be an easy game for Cliff Kingsbury to get the passing game going because getting receivers open has been difficult. They don't generate a ton of pressures, they're 19th in sacks per pass attempt, but they normally do a really good job on the back end, mixing things up. They don't pick a lot of passes off, they're 22nd there, about 1.5% of passes get picked off against this defense, but they break plays up. They don't give up big plays. That's the big thing, by the way, they're going to play two safeties high normally. They're going to take away the big play and it's a lot of underneath and intermediate stuff that you're going to have to hit, but they don't allow sustain drive. They're awesome on first down, they get you in third and long. They're number two in the NFL in third down defense, 31% convert. They are number two in the NFL and how many first downs they give up per game. They just do a lot of things at an elite level. So what am I worried about? Well, I would say it's probably the interior of their defensive line against a banged up interior of Washington's offensive line because the Cowboys under man undersized with some injuries, I thought found a way to win the line of scrimmage pretty decidedly. And this Titans team with Jeffrey Simmons, the first round pick back in 2019 has become a superstar. And to Von Drey Sweat, who's a massive guy who plays nose was a second round pick this past year, big, big boy weighs about 370 pounds. You'll notice him. Where's number 93? We just look for the smart car in a uniform. The biggest person there. Yeah. That dude, I just think that the pocket pushing, he'll be able to do him and Simmons winning. That's what's given Daniel some fix is those guys that come right at you, right? And I could see that happening in this game. I certainly could. And Harold Landry's been a really good player at times over the course of his career as a pass rusher. This is just a well coached solid defense. So some of their numbers jump at you in a, in a bad way, but there's context there. So in terms of points allowed, you already mentioned yards per play, which is the correct metric. And you saw the rankings and running pass in terms of points allowed to give it up way more than you'd think for somebody who's defense is ranked as high as theirs is. That's basically short fields, turnovers, bad offensive moments. Will Levis going, what are you doing? You know, ridiculousness that's led to some of those point totals. Plus they played Detroit when they were at their most buzz sawish and Detroit rang the bell for 52 points. They have a couple weird skewed games that change everything else down in, down out. There are not many better defenses in this one in the NFL. I would be willing to bet and I don't have these numbers up. Frank, I don't even know where I would find them, but I'll look for them. I would be willing to bet that the Titans defensive unit has the worst starting field position against in the league. And if it's not worst, it's going to be really close to it based on all the takeaways that you were just talking about from the opponents on Will Levis and this team. I mean, it's awful bad fumbles and receptions and returns and you know, they'll get the ball first and 10 inside the 30 and the 20 constantly. And basically, eight, you're going to give up points in those situations, but that's also part of why maybe you could say the yards per attempt or the, just the overall yards, rankings are better because the field position is so bad that it is harder to drive the length of the field when you're starting at the opponent's 40 yard line. So when you look at it, they have not given up 400 yards of offense to an opponent yet this year have not. That's not like, Oh, a couple of times nobody has, even in the game, whether it's the weirdest game of the year when Detroit scored 52 points, they only managed 225 yards of offense. It's the strangest game I've ever seen statistically, but whatever most of the time they've given up, in fact, 200 yards or less in a lot and in about half of their games. So, I mean, excuse me, sub 300 yards or less. This is a really good defense again down in and down out there have been moments of breaking. There have been a couple big plays against them. There have been, you know, so bad field position things from turnovers and the like, but if you kick it out of the end zone, line up at the 30 and go play six, seven, eight times, I'll take my chances with that defense over probably 27 defenses in the league. So I'm just looking at that lion's game that you've been referencing just to see what happened. David Montgomery had a seven yard touchdown run that capped a 23 yard scoring drive. So that tells you that they took over at the red zone. Four turnovers in that game. Tennessee's offense did. Jamir Gibbs had a 70 yard touchdown run. So that was a one play bad play that they gave up. Then another 25 yard touchdown drive for Detroit, then a 12 yard touchdown drive. See the thing there. Detroit. Then a 22 yard touchdown drive and this is wild. Yeah. Every single drive started at about the red zone. Then they gave up a punt return touchdown in that game. They gave up a 26 yard touchdown drive. I mean, that's, this is comical. So the longest score, other than the 70 yard touchdown run, the longest scoring drive was like 26 yards in that game. And they were all touchdowns. It didn't, that, that is a problem for the defense though, that they didn't force any field goals. So that is on the defense. Sure. In that game to an extent as they fell to one in six, but they've been playing better. They have a first year head coach, Levis is actually showing some signs of life too. Like I went through all of the terrible parts of Will Levis and they're bountiful. They're going to be in the quarterback market. I would imagine he is very, very physically tooled up. I mean, he is a guy that has a huge arm. Yeah. He's all shirt off team. Oh, I mean, I mean, rip is a, is a Greek God. Yeah. That guy likes to quite literally put mayonnaise in his coffee, eat banana with the peel on it. No lift weights. Those are like his favorite hobbies, but he's not impressive. I don't think overall is a prospect, but you can kind of see it and he makes some big time throws, dude. Like he will, if somebody's open deep, he's going to shred you. He's going to hit them and he did last week. So they got to be careful there. Let's go to Joe who's out in L.A. on Grant and Danny. What gives you pause about this game? What are you nervous about? And what are you confident about? Hey guys, I think confidence wise, I like the way Jaden Daniels was using it like in the Cowboys game for the first time in like a month. So that gives me a little bit of confidence about maybe the offense getting some mojo bag. Nervous, I'm going to say it's the offensive line because I was looking at the tape from the game and people talk a lot about the play calling or not targeting Terry and different things, the running game, but the execution on the offensive line, I don't know if it's communication between the offensive lineman or from the center or the coaching. They're a little bit banged up, so a little bit of it's physical, but that play has really fallen off, at least from the tape I watched in the Cowboys game, and I think that was probably true for the last few games as well. So that's what makes me nervous. So when we can, I always like to try to quantify opinions, whether we have them or callers have them with numbers. And that's one that we actually can. If you look at the performance as a pass blocking unit against Dallas, Brandon Coleman graded out beautifully. He was outstanding. In fact, pass blocking win rate, I believe he was number one in the league. This past week, the rookie left tackle out of Texas Christian, but not as favorable. Nick Allegretti had a really, really tough PFF day, gave up a sack, a hit, two hurries and four pressures, according to PFF, Sam Cosmey struggled in the game against Dallas. You'll notice again, the interior, two quarterback hits a hurry, three pressures total. Andrew Wiley only played 22 snaps before he got hurt, but he had given up two hurries, two pressures and those 22 snaps, Trent Scott actually came in and according to them played well. He had 21 passing dropbacks and didn't give up any pressures, but overall collectively as a team, 10 pressures for from Allegretti, three from Cosmey, two from Wiley, one from Biotis, according to PFF. So a couple different, you know, outlets depends on who you like, whether it's pro football focus or, you know, open source football or football outside as whatever, the pass blocking grades for Washington, remember, early on in the season they were among the best in the NFL. They're not bad now as you rank them now through, through 12 weeks, but they've fallen precipitously in the rankings. They were a top five or six group again, depends on the outlet of, in terms of win rate and things like that. They're now down in the 60s, tied around 13th, 14th, 15th. So that's not terrible. And they're probably overall still over the year outperforming expectations, but the trend isn't going in the right direction. It's not as if they were 20th and moved up. They were say six, seven, eight, somewhere in there, and they're now kind of sliding down. Titans come into town. If Washington wins, they're going to be favored to get into the playoffs at a 75 or so percent clip. If they lose for the first time in several weeks, they will not be mathematically expected to make the playoffs by way of the percentages. What makes you confident and what makes you nervous about this game with the Titans? We will hear from you next on Grant and Danny. [BLANK_AUDIO] We'll take you up to six, 30 on the fan, Grant and Danny with you, Ben standing right at six in an hour and 15 minutes. That's when we're giving away wizard's tickets. It is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Thank you very much for making this show part of your day. Titans commander Sunday, I think if Washington would have beaten Dallas handily, the field going into this game would be different. 100%. They'd be not only sitting at eight and four right now, but we would feel like there is no precedent for them playing and letting down and losing to a bad team. So obviously they're going to win the line, by the way, five and a half points would be eight and a half or something like that. But because they looked so bad for three and a half quarters against Dallas and ended up losing to an awful Cowboys team with a backup quarterback at the controls that played poorly, now you go, yeah, Tennessee's live in this game. They could absolutely beat Washington. And they just handled Houston. That's a good point. That's another reason for the line changing this week. It wasn't just Washington. It was that the Titans probably played their best game of the season as well against the Texans team that's better than the commanders you would think. So yeah, I think that's an outlier for Tennessee to be honest with you. Again, it's a divisional game. I almost feel better that they played that way because you go, they're going to do that twice in a row because that's not who they are. If they were, they'd be better than three and eight. If the worst hitter on a team, Danny, it was three for three with two home runs the night before. I kind of know tonight he's not doing that again. You would think, right? Or the next time you play him a month later, but, but yeah, I think that's, that's their best game of the year. That's their high watermark. That's their one of the year. That's how the best they played all year. Houston kind of struggling, reeling a little bit, but they're in a similar boat to Washington, honestly, where some, some success, everybody's kind of waiting for that next step. And it doesn't happen. And now they drop a game that they shouldn't quite frankly. And so here it comes Tennessee off that win. Let's go to the phones, 800, six, three, six, one, oh six, seven. What are you nervous about? What are you confident about as far as this Titans game goes? Let's go to Chris and Hyattsville. What's up, Chris? What's up, gentlemen, uh, first of all, I want to congratulate Danny on having the best draft class. And this year's Thanksgiving draft. Thank you, Chris. And you're okay with ineligible players being used. Well, I think this and Danny, he may have found a loophole, but you know, you guys have got to identify qualified foods, if you will, before the draft, if that, if you're going to call them out. Danny better hope that the Fairfax County superintendent is investigating his roster. Yeah, he better hopes that, yeah, that, that your old colleague isn't investigating him or whatever. This is okay. So what gives me confidence? One will levis is will levis and their offense is not very good. By most statistical categories, they're in the bottom, you know, five teams in the NFL with points and yardage. What gives me pause, though, is their defense, I think, is underrated. And they're going to have, they're going to give, we, we've seen this offense. And, and Jaden struggled recently in this week. So I am a little bit concerned about that, but I have to believe this last week was the wake up call for all wake up calls. If they can't get right against Tennessee, then, you know, I don't know if they deserve to be a playoff team. Well, that's where we started the show, by the way. I mean, Danny, he agrees with us, but I came right out and said it. If they lose to the Titans, I won't expect them to make the playoffs, but I'm not really going to be sweating it. I'm going to be back to full on, well, it's been a nice first year. And if something changes again, then that's fine. But you can't lose to Dallas and Tennessee in consecutive weeks at home and have lost four straight games spiraling out of control and have me press that you're not a playoff team. Cause at some point you just kind of throw your hands up and go nothing about this team feels like a playoff team right now. There'll be three and five and eight games after this week, if they don't beat the Titans with back to back terrible losses during super important time, you know, end of November in the December holidays. That's kind of your, it goes from, it's early to now, okay, it's winning time. You can't beat two teams that are going to pick on the top 10. There's no point in any other discussion other than that, right? Like we're not going to, well, then maybe, and we'll do it. I mean, if this permutation happens, they still got their stolen life here as long as tip of a ties Atlanta in a game, whatever. I mean, the point is you can't beat two bad teams at home after, you know, a bunch of advantages come your way. Then what are we even really talking about? How much will Levis have you watched this season? I mean, not, I'm not studying Tennessee tape, but yeah, I've seen him pony on red zone. I mean, there's the, the, oh my God, throw and then there's the, oh my God, what are you doing throw? So if the extent of you're watching him as red zone, then you've seen the really good and the really bad. Yeah. You've, I've seen the experience, the roller coaster. That's kind of what I'm talking about. I mean, the way he played against the Chicago Bears and against the Miami dolphins this year was that guy cannot be on a field bad. There's also been some pretty good. I thought against Houston, he was very solid at a pick six funny that in your good game, you throw a pick six. Yeah. We did have that. But the best he's looked to me was the Vikings the week before this past. I've gone through and I've watched a bunch of Titans the last few nights. Will Levis against Minnesota was actually very solid and he's, he's strung together now three, what I would say is decent or better games in a row. Five touchdowns, two picks over that time, completing 78 54 and 75 percent. But if you look at big time throws, he's seven big time throws in the last three games. I think what people will be pretty stunned by is the arm strength and the willingness to take chances. And when it works, oh boy, it's pretty impressive. It's like a rich man's physical Rex Grossman. Or the poorest man's Justin Herbert. Like if you never had any money and you're like eating your own toenails, just survive. I'll let you go with that comp. You know, I'm not ever going to mention them in the same sentence based on what I've seen. It's pretty easy. Will Levis is no Justin Herbert. But like those kind of traits where you go, that arm strength is unbelievable. Wow. He fitted in there. But he has not had more than one turnover worthy play according to PFF in any of his last four games. So he's starting to come out of it, but I just, every time I watch him, I go, I wish my team was playing that guy this week because you do feel like this is the Grossman comp. This is the Kyle Shanahan line I used to love. He will keep both teams in the game. You're going to get one. In other words, like he's going to give you a chance. I've got lunch bets, by the way, on the line already with Daris and all ready with Ryan. You will not accept the bet, but I've got a lunch bet on the line for both of them with the over under one and a half turnovers for Will Levis that he turns the ball over twice in this game. I've got two takeaways of Will Levis and they both are on the side that he's not going to turn the ball over twice. His most impressive, and by the way, he loves turning it over. I think this will be the easiest lunch bet I've ever, I'll, I'll have lunch on Monday on Daris and I'll have lunch on Tuesday on Ryan. I'm hoping you'll get me my lunch and wins. I'm not doing it. His most impressive game to me was actually against the Chargers on the road, a good defense. He was like, it's like he had to calm down the Will Levisness, right? And he did that. He played like a mature grown up game. They lost. They didn't have a chance because not as good as the Chargers are, but he was efficient. He didn't do anything stupid or crazy and I went, oh, if you do that, you'll eventually some of your talent moments will come out, but he, he's one of those dudes it just has to. He has to go ruin it. Let's go TJ Bowie. What's up? Hey guys, just bear with me for just one quick second. The thing that makes me confident is Joe Witt in the way he has his defense that he slapped together with some duct tape and how they're getting better as the season goes on. I don't think Joe Witt gets enough credit. I think Will Levis will throw an interception to somebody and then run with his head down very awkwardly to nowhere. The thing that gives, that makes me nervous is Cliff Kingsbury. I think he's like those gymnasts that get the twisties and can't figure out how to land. I think that's Will Levis. I mean, not Will Levis, but Cliff Kingsbury right now at the moment was the way he's calling this offense. And then lastly, guys, I'm very disappointed in Dares again. Ryan won this Thanksgiving Day draft. Dares again upset the culture. Oh boy. What do you do? What do you do wrong? Now we can't speak on this as you can imagine. So what did he do that was bad for the culture? He started off good with the mac and cheese. Okay. We all agree with that. Right. Then he threw in doubled eggs. That wouldn't be my second pick, but okay. But then he went pumpkin pie over sweet potato pie. Yeah. I called in last year and we talked about this. Yeah. We talked about this. We saw in coach, again, again, he went pumpkin pie over sweet potato pie and therefore Ryan Clary, who came with sweet potato, anything with marshmallows on top plus stuffing plus hand has has won this draft. I'm disappointed, Dares. I don't even know what to say. The culture, bro. Yeah, I think you do. The culture. You stop it. Make him a call. Stop it. The culture is damn good. The culture is down. That's what it is. Now when he says culture, what does he reference? I don't get it. So like the feel of the building and whether or not yeah, yeah, yeah, but the team's coming together. Yeah. Kind of like what Ron and Vera would preach. Okay. Yeah. Not the damn Quinn culture. That's different. This is more like the Ron and Vera culture. He's saying you're not turning your hat backwards. Right. Right. In all honesty, I always forget that there's a difference between pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie, which is probably stupid on my part. That's a hole in my game. That's a hole in my game. There's some pretty significant. I don't know. It just says what it is. TJ is going to be just disappointed by me every year. He's going to find something. He's going to find a hole in my game every year. Let me be clear. My daughters go to say, well, friends, dares, you are confused between pumpkins and sweet potatoes. I mean, they're both orange pies, like, you know, okay. So is Apple? No, not really. Are you talking about the exterior of the pie? Yeah. The exterior of the pie. It's all pies look the same. No, no, no, I'm saying, like, you put a pumpkin pie on a sweet potato pie next to each other. They look the same. You ever try to bite a Kit Kat and turn out that the carrot? No, I've never done that. They're both orange. I don't know. It's confusing. I just, I think we've got, we're establishing a culture in this building, it seems like. And you're out of part of that culture. Yeah. According to TJ, I'm not a part of that culture. Is he the one that always takes issue with your draft? Every year. He did like, he, he, he roots me up. It's TJ, John Carlson. The culture. J and D C kills me. Yeah. Jay is the other one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is that now? Is that a culture thing or not a culture thing? Yeah. I think it's a culture thing too. I think I think people are disappointed by a culture representation. It's their way. I'll put it. Oh, no, I understand. I got it. Thanks. Perfect sense. I got it. We'll just come out and say it then. Why don't you? You should have said something long ago. Great and Danny on the fan. Let's go through the three Thanksgiving day games tomorrow. Hopefully we get at least one really good football game. You'll listen into the van. Want to elevate your game?
