The news from Commander's Camp today out in Ashburn, Dan Quinn was speaking to the media, and he said that Marchon Latimore is back at practice. He was asked about Latimore's status is what he had to say. We're gonna get some, you know, first shots at practice with him today, and, uh, we're really following a rigorous process, uh, with him, John. And that's not just with Marchon, but like, you know, especially with soft tissue injuries. And we got a great staff and they're working, you know, together also with him. And, uh, the feedback that goes with it. And also, you know, keep him safe as well. And, uh, but we are pumped to get him back out in the field there. It's hard to predict, you know, on soft tissue injuries. And so, uh, it'll be awesome to have him back out, you know, working into practice today. Well, I don't want to be mean to Dan Quinn because I find him to be very accommodating to the media. He seems like a really, really nice guy. That was so many words to say absolutely nothing. Like, he didn't even acknowledge really with the words that he will be at practice until the very end, even though the words he said, suggested he was going to practice early on. And then I was like, with a soft tissue injury with everybody, he's practicing, like, let's lead with that. He will be on the practice field. And this is hopefully a good sign. But it's obvious, you know, at this point, he doesn't want to say anything that ends up not coming to fruition and suggests that a lot of more might play. But I mean, how many words did he just say to acknowledge he's got a hamstring. We're being careful, but he's going to do some practicing today. And it's, it's, it's what you do, and you're up there, politicking, you're, you're stumping, whatever you want to call it until your time is over and you hopefully reveal it as little as possible while talking for a long time, doing the old filibuster version up there. But yeah, I will certainly take this over on Rivera, where it's like, it's any, any day now he's coming and then, you know, seven, eight, nine, 10, 15 weeks later, it still hasn't happened yet. But I'm with you. The just making sure to not commit to anything with regards to, you know, we think he's going to play or we think it's an average, we are, we are being super careful. We're doing the right thing. I'll take that. But still I'm with you. I'm, it's sort of like, come on, dude. I know a lot of you guys were probably wondering what is today because it's not to tell the truth Monday. No. And they're off on Tuesday. So Tuesday has no theme. I don't know. There's no feel. How could they possibly go about their Tuesdays? Maybe it's watch the film Tuesday in their offices. No responsibility Tuesday. Today is competition Wednesday. He said at the press conference. So it's competition Wednesday. Again, I just think about my daughter's kindergarten teacher, sweet old lady. I take her into the class and she's like, hello, are you welcome? Are you ready for a, a welcome to terrific Tuesday and, you know, that it's wonderful Wednesday. It's thorough Thursday and like every day has a little alliteration theme. So today out in Ashburn, Danny, the grown men on the football team, they are having competition Wednesday. You know, it's a lot more charming when you're seven and two than when you lost three straight. But again, I know it, it's easier for us to be cynical in my eyes, roll every time. I'm telling you athletes, pro athletes, college guy, whatever. Everybody thrives off that. They love it. Everybody's, everybody needs something on a t-shirt. Think about the Jim Zorn hip hip parade cheers that we play all the time for new callers. You think about one of the best bits going in the league right now is actually the L.A. Chargers. I don't know if you guys have seen this, but the Chargers, they're the same team that gave you who's got it better than us. Nobody, because that's Jim Harbaugh's stick, which in and of itself is just cheesy and a lot to deal with. But do you know what the Chargers are doing? No, they've got this thing after games where they just go around and everybody high fives each other, like straight up old school, like Jim Harbaugh's like, fun, somebody and high five of them. And you're like, well, it's like reminds me of like being at church on Sunday. Yeah, you're wishing people peace. Peace be with you. You got your book. Stand your hand and shake everybody's hand. Well, this is a walk around the locker room and for like a minute after the game, they just all, and they get into it. They're like slamming each other with high fives, like my kid trying to hurt each other, whatever. And they're literally just old school high fiving all the way down the line in the locker room. Just dudes being dudes. They're 12 years old when they're in that locker room. Do you guys go hard with the piece be with you or you just kind of mailing it in to get on with the day? Well, post COVID, it's been a different piece be with you world at this point. You still have mostly people that just kind of not give you the nod for peace. It's a wave situation. I mean, there's definitely people that are just going to get right in there and shake hands. But for the most part, the piece be with you is now like you're hugging, you're kissing the people you're with. Yep. And it's a, it's a hot nod and smiled everybody else. So it was basically the, for us back in the day, it was like, what, within arms reach, you're given peace, but you're already on to the next handshake. But there's always like that one guy that's going to do a little extra, like two rows of that. Yeah, I contact Evan. Yeah. He's always coming in with like, peace be with you. I'm like, hey, it's a little, that's a tense piece. It's a lot of peace from you, but like, you know, arms reach, we're doing it piece. Come on. Let's go. Well, today for us, um, as you know, competition, Wednesday and it is definitely a competition with you. I actually feel better about the Titans game now. I didn't realize they were going to do competition wins. They're going to compete on, but on Wednesdays, can we make a competition Sunday? I like to compete a little better competition Wednesday and let's do competition first three quarters this time around. What do we say about that? I could do some competition for progress, please. Can we get that competition move the chains? We do some of that. Where is that when you need it? But Lattimore, good news also speaking of Sunday. One of the problems against the Cowboys was Brian Robinson got hurt. First player of the game folded up. We really haven't talked about how bad that injury looked. You tell me I'm wrong. You guys saw it. Like I saw it. Did that not look like a terrible injury initiative? Live. I went. Oh no. Like, yes. Like not, not quite to the level of Willis McGathey live in that, uh, championship game back in the day. It's a good injury when he was out in space, clears day and his 80% of his body went one way and the bottom part of the leg went the other way and I just, I was like, I'll throw up if I ever see it again, Joel's out one way and like the rest of his foot is underneath the guy. It to me. It looked, it looked bad. I thought we had an Alex Smith situation. That's what I thought. I thought Joe Thaisman, Alex Smith, like that kind of deal, but when they showed it the first time in the press box, everyone audibly goes, Oh, well, it turns out his leg was fine. He walks off the field, he comes back into the game and he ends up playing again. Now, he did not finish the game. He didn't play in the second half at all. But the fact that he was able to get back into the game, he told the junkies when he was on the show with them yesterday morning that he's had massive progress already made in terms of just the recovery post Sunday. And today he's practicing. I'm guessing he'll be listed limited, but Dan Quinn said the only guys not practicing are Echler with the concussion and Andrew Wiley, the right tackle with a concussion. We can get to those guys in a minute, but I mean, come on. Yeah. That Brian Robinson recovery and the fact that his leg didn't snap or his knee didn't tear. That's amazing. You don't reminds me of it. Not the same situation, obviously. But remember when Bryce Harper landed awkwardly on first base and it buckled and I went knee done. That's it. Nothing over with the same. So we'll see you in spring training. Yes. And you know, he was out for a while, obviously, but just because he's just physically different than everybody else, you know, like, yeah, the same guy that was shot in the knee and played that year was able to bounce back better than most people would. Just the strength of not only just a body character spirit, everything else, but the like everything around those load bearing structures in his body were able to withstand those kinds of things. Just insane to me that he came back on the field after that getting help for mental health shouldn't be as hard as it is.
