Now is today when they say that you're supposed to throw out the turkey. Yes. Today is the day. Get rid of the leftovers. All right. This is brings us to today's top three list, the all-time greatest leftover foods, and it could be Thanksgiving or not that you can have on this list. I have mostly not Thanksgiving related for my today's top three. The only way Thanksgiving leftovers really work for me in the following days is if there's enough gravy left over. Yeah. And if you can make some open-faced gravy sandwiches or something like that, then it works. If not, all right, I'll give you my top three. Yeah, I don't have, I don't have the the traditional Thanksgiving meal in there because I've always, the turkey has always been just kind of, I don't know, dry or got to have that gravy. Not quite right. Yeah, just the consistency of the turkey. I've never, I've never, now I do like, I do like the leftovers, but I used to, when I would, I would always wash the dishes at my mom's house on Thanksgiving. And the reasoning for washing the dishes was I would take the extra gravy, whatever gravy was left, and I'd hide it in the back of the refrigerator so I could have it the next day. Yeah, the gravy is the key. That can cover up a lot of mistakes in the Thanksgiving meal. So my one, two, three, for all time, great leftovers. Number one for me, and this is one that, to me is better the second day than the first day, spaghetti. I'm with you. I love, I love the second day, third day, whatever, of spaghetti. I can, I can stay on that for two or three days after I make the first batch. And usually it seems like you end up with too much sauce, so maybe you have to make another batch of noodles. Do you ever have that? When you make the big more noodles? Yeah. Yeah. Number two on the list, I'm going to, this is sort of Thanksgiving related. I brad, I do like, of the pies, the fruit pies, I do like those the next day. Pumpkin pie? No, not so much. I like pumpkin pie, but not as much leftover heat, re, you know, if you're going to heat up the pie as any kind of fruit pie. So I go spaghetti one fruit pies two and number three, and I'm going to give you a hack on this, because it was given to me a couple of weeks ago, and it was great. Pizza, and I'm talking specifically cracker crust pizza. We put it in the air fryer. One of our favorite three favorite pizza places to visit in Bellingham is this place that was a, we got turned onto through P&W perks. As a matter of fact, Bella child pizza, they're on railroad avenue in Bellingham. All right. And it's tavern style pizza, and they got this cracker crust kind of thing. And we've been going there for the past year, ever since they popped up on P&W perks. Well, the last time we were in there a few weeks ago, the guy says, you know, we were about to walk out of there with some pizza and some leftovers, and he says, you know how to reheat this stuff? And we said, um, what do you, what do you say? And he said, you get out of skillet and do a little, a little bit of olive oil in the skillet, and then put that on there, put, put the pizza in the skillet two minutes. And he says, it'll turn out perfect. Did that sure enough? That guy was 100% right brings it right back. I can, I can only vouch for this kind of crust. But I'm telling you, Brad, that was, that was the best reheated pizza specifically with that crust doing it that way. So I'll give you a spaghetti fruit pies and the cracker crust pizzas. My top three, what do you have? Well, I'll meet you at the top there in my top three with spaghetti. There's just something about letting that sauce seep into the noodles or something. It becomes, becomes one next day. I don't know. Yeah, the next day, it kind of, it, I don't know if the spices set in a little more or something like that, always can go for some leftovers spaghetti and sometimes even putting it in a piece of bread and making like a spaghetti sandwich. Love doing that. And, and the same kind of concept with tacos. I love making, I mean, like a two pound instead of making one pound of taco meat, I'll make two because I love the leftovers. And there's just something about that. It gets that, that spice just sinks into it a little more. You go nachos with that meat. You go nachos, a lot of the use. And then one of the other things is when it comes to the weekend, I, I don't really like to get up early. I will with the kid and stuff sometimes, but I'm not very functional. And so, Taryn usually will get up and make breakfast in the morning. And when there's leftover breakfast, the next day, and I get up and I don't have to make breakfast and I can take the leftover scrambled eggs, the, you know, a couple pieces of bacon and some like tater tots or something and wrap it up in the, in a, in a, like a tortilla and make a breakfast burrito where I don't have to do any of the cooking. None of the bay, I get the joy of the bacon. I get, you know, the really, no, I wouldn't think that stuff would be as good the second day it is. Well, I think it is because I don't have to cook it. And it's a quick, easy fix. I could just go downstairs, grab my coffee, nuke that up in a roll or wrap up and walk away and still felt like I got a full breakfast and I didn't have to cook anything. All right, give us your today's top three, all time. Great leftovers. One, two, three, three, six, seven, three, three, five, four, seven, six, you can email Brad and John at kism.com. Well, it's a gluttonous night for my food pants. The holidays go straight to my thighs. I spend all of my time in a food trance around the cookies, the cakes, and the pies. And all the sweets and the treats are calling as my gut continues to grow. And the amount that I eat is appalling when the eggnog begins to flow. I won't wear tight blue jeans because comforts are must. And my waistline is growing and may bust. So I just wear my old food pants all day. All right, I eat all of the leftovers inside. They can't wait for the next day to come. I love to snack on seasonal delights and chase them down with the bottle of rum. Because when the holidays come, I start eating. I cannot leave the sweet stuff alone. And then I wind up with that too fulfilling until I spend some time on the throne. You know, it's this time of year. It's so hard to decide. And that's why I grab two plates. I got one for each side. And I just wear my old food pants all day. All right, ready? Coming back. K-I-S-M.
