Hello everyone and welcome back to the show. I'm your host Matt and right now I'm talking to Kelly Gies who is the owner of KLG Wellness which can be found in Ontario, Canada. How you doing today Kelly? I'm great Matt thanks for asking. So why don't you tell me a little bit more about you and your business? Okay so my business we're a registered massage therapy clinic. We also clients an array of options to feel their best both physically and mentally. So we provide relaxation, de-stressed massage therapy. We also provide Reiki which is more of an energy based healing and we also offer therapies for injury and repetitive strain that include massage, sassel release, therapeutic cupping and medical neuro acupuncture. So what inspired you to pursue this profession? Well I worked with troubled youth for many years and after about 20 years I felt that it was time for a change. I love helping people so I wanted to continue to help others feel their best. And massage therapy had been something that interested me because I'm also I work out in the fitness industry and have always been interested in you know recovery and those types of things. So I felt that it would be a great fit for me at that transitional time. And how long have you been doing this for? I have been a massage therapist for eight years. I have had KLG wellness just for the last three. So tell me a bit more about the services you provide and how you help out your clients. Okay my the clinic is a home based clinic. I converted the front of my home into a warm and welcoming clinic space. So it has its own entrance. I'm a solo practitioner so I pride myself on creating a safe and comfortable environment. I tailored the treatment to the client specifically. So depending on what the need is, what they're coming in for I suggest you know different modalities that would be helpful like in some instances when somebody has a repetitive strain injury or built up scar tissue I may suggest along with the massage a cupping treatment which helps break up that scar tissue and allow for greater range of motion. So that's just an example of how I try to tailor my treatment specifically to the clients that I see. Is there anything about you or your business you want our listeners to know about today? I think just that I'm a great listener. Clients have told me that they appreciate that I listen to what their concerns are and respond accordingly. So I pride myself on tailoring treatments and modalities to meet their specific needs. Typically my favorite treatments are those where we've developed trust and I'm able to use those different modalities to help them meet their best possible outcomes. And for anyone listening who wants to learn more about this, what are some of the best ways to get in touch with you? Some of the best ways to get in touch with me is through my website which is www.klgwellness.ca Or they can also email me at Kelly so it's about K-E-L-L-I-E at klgwellness.ca. Alright well Kelly thanks again for talking with us today. Not a problem thank you for having me. You're welcome and take care. You too have a great day. Same to you. And to the rest of our listeners stay right there because we'll be back with more after these messages. (upbeat music) [BLANK_AUDIO]
