>> Welcome to the Professional Podcast Network where brilliance meets business, elevate your brand, and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation. >> Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the show. I'm your host, Matt, and right now I'm talking with Elizabeth Hester, who is the owner of Plumeria Counseling in South Windsor, Connecticut. >> That's good. So why don't you tell me a little bit more about you and your business? >> Yeah, so I'm a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut. I also have my license in Tennessee. And so Plumeria Counseling, I established that to really just give couples a professional resource to start their new beginning to regain hope, love, and connection, and their relationships. And I specialize in emotionally focused couples therapy, which is an evidence-based approach in treating couples. So at my practice, I provide marriage counseling, premarital counseling, infidelity counseling, divorce counseling, and individual counseling. I also offer for those who align with a Christian-based basis that integration as well in our work if they feel like they benefit from that. >> So how many years have you been doing this for? >> Yeah, so I have -- so my practice has been open for six months here in Connecticut while I'm new to owning my own practice, which I'm really excited about. I've been working full-time with couples, utilizing emotionally focused couples therapy coming up on four years now. >> And what inspired you to go into this lot of work? >> Yeah, so I say that my passion really comes from a couple different areas, the first seeing my personal life and experiencing the breakdown and pain that comes from broken relationships in the home. And so having experienced that, I've always had a part of me that's always said this isn't the way it was meant to be, and it doesn't need to be the way it needs to stay. And so with that determination and understanding of that pain that comes with broken relationships, it really feels me to want to give others as much support as I can to help them regain hope and begin healing in their relationships and for them as well as an individual. Second would be my professional experience, and I feel so incredibly privileged to walk alongside couples in their healing journey because I truly believe that healed and healthy relationships really create stronger families and thriving children and inevitably a stronger community. >> So tell me a bit more about the services you provide. >> Yeah, yeah, so I offer in-person counseling at my self-winser office in Connecticut. I also offer telehealth counseling as well for those who are residents in Connecticut and Tennessee as well, and that's over a HIPAA compliant platform. >> And is there anything about you or your business that you want our listeners to know about today? >> Yeah, I think what I'd like listeners to know about me as a licensed professional is that I know there is hope for you. The season and hardship you're in today, it doesn't last, we're always shifting in and out of seasons and the difficulties in your relationship. Now don't need to define you or your relationship, I just hold so much compassion for couples and individuals who are facing what could be one of the most painful seasons in their life because of a breakdown in a really important relationship, and I'm really non-judgmental because I know that professionally and personally the actions and behaviors we show when we're operating from some of the deepest places of hurt, it always makes sense in light of our human need to feel securely bonded to another human being. And so I love just starting with people in the raw and messy places they find themselves in today and working through that to find their healed place on the other side of it together. >> All right, well for anyone out there who wants to learn more, what are some of the best ways to get in touch with you? >> Yeah, they can call my practice at 860-791-4688. They could also email me at alisabeth@plumeriacounseling.hush.com and they can visit my website at plumeriacouplescounseling.com. >> All right, well I want to thank you again for talking with us today. >> Yeah, thank you so much for having me, I appreciate it. >> You're welcome and take care. >> Thank you. Bye-bye. >> And to the rest of our listeners, stay tuned, we'll be right back after the break. >> Welcome to the Professional Podcast Network, where brilliance meets business, elevates your brand, and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation.
