Now welcome to the professional podcast network where brilliance meets business, elevate your brand and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation. Hey there everyone and welcome back to the show. This is your host Phil and our next guest with us today is Nasir Shahan Sahab, who's based out of Reston, Virginia and he's the owner and manager of his company called American Central Asian Transnational Company LLC. How are you doing today? Thank you very much. How about you? I'm doing great. Thank you so much. So why don't you tell us a little bit more here about like your area of expertise with your company and what got you started here? My company was active in major projects. We've conceived them, we tried to finance them and if you've got the finance we implemented the plans, we did irrigation systems, we did some road systems and things like that. But we have been without jobs for a few years because our jobs were mainly in Central Asia and for the past years that was not a good place to go into business. Gotcha. Alright. So what have you been doing recently here? Have you been doing anything else, like writing or anything like that? I have been writing since quite a number of years. I have published two books and I have published quite a number of articles and various newspapers and magazines. Okay. I got you. I know you're just basically discussing what you did at your company? No, actually my first book was about the Soviet Union. The title is Soviet Expansion in the Third World and I have taken Afghanistan as an example. My second book is The Peace of Fiction. It's called Silent Trees and I'm presently writing a book and I hope to finish it in about four weeks or so, which is again an analysis of American foreign policy which I think is going badly right now. Gotcha. Alrighty. So is there anything else here you want to tell our listeners today or share a plus here? Well, I'm not sure what your listeners are interested in if they want to know what you do with your life and I think what is important to know always is that there's a good indication. There's no real real progress in the future, it's hard work. We look at Bezos and the people like that and think in a moment we will be billionaires. Those are the exceptions and the world does not exist of the exceptions, this is the masses of people who work hard. Work hard, have a good indication, work hard and take risks. Of course the risks we have to be careful with the risks and try to find to the extent possible how sure we are with what we are doing and then go about your life and I think making mistakes is also part of living and if you don't make real major mistakes and try to keep the mistakes and control, I think we learn from the mistakes too. Well said, I agree with you. Well, Nasir, if our listeners do want to reach out to you or talk to you more about your life or your books, how do we contact you? I have an email address, which I can give you. You have it probably because I did send you an email. They can contact me by email, they can call me if they want and that's about it if they are close to where I live and a meeting is possible, I have an open mind to everything. Alright, sounds good to me. Well Nasir, thank you so much for joining us today, it's been a pleasure talking with you. Thank you very much, thank you for having me. You're welcome, take care. To the rest of our listeners, stay right here, we'll be right back after the short break.
