AP News. I'm Ed Donahue. American reporter Evan Gershkovich is being ordered to remain in jail in Russia on espionage charges until at least the end of June. A man was arrested. The man was a member of the public sitting in the overflow courtroom with the press where I was. He wanted to be in the main courtroom with Donald Trump where seating is limited and first come first served. The man argued with court officers about this. Once the video went on in the overflow, he stood up to watch, was told he had to sit. The situation escalated. He went into the hallway with court officers where I was told you would not back down about either standing in the overflow room or getting into the main courtroom. That's when the handcuffs came out and a producer in the hallway says the man was taken into custody and escorted out. At least two reporters have been barred from covering the trial after violating rules against recording and taking photos according to a court spokesperson. In Court in Manhattan, I'm Julie Walker. General Motors is reporting strong sales to start the year. Have you tried to buy a new vehicle lately? GM is talking about its sales. Its average sales price for a vehicle is just under $50,000. That's down a little bit from last year, says GM. Pickup sales remain strong and General Motors says it is not seeing the price erosion across its lineup that other companies have seen. As a matter of fact, its first quarter net income rose more than 25% on strong deliveries of pickup trucks and other higher profit vehicles. GM says it made almost $3 billion from January through March with revenue increasing 7.6% over the same period a year ago to just over $43 billion. I'm Rita Folle.
