Welcome to the Professional Podcast Network, where brilliance meets business, elevate your brand, and supercharge your revenue with inspiring insights and innovation. Hey there everyone, and welcome back to the show. This is your host Phil, and my next guest with us here today is Rachel Shaheen, who is based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, with her new business called Chattanooga Salt Cavern. How are you doing today Rachel? I'm doing well Phil, thanks for having me on. Oh my pleasure, thanks for joining me here. So Rachel, tell us a little bit more here about Chattanooga Salt Cavern and what you guys offer there. Okay, so basically right now we offer halo therapy, halo is Greek for salt, so it is a dry salt therapy. We are an active salt cave versus a passive salt cave. I won't go into the details, I'll let the listeners at home do the research and see what that means, but we are good for meditation and the medicinal properties of the salt because we do have a halo generator, which makes it active, short, and sweet, to the point. We also offer a lot of event, like sound healing event. We're going to start drum circles, we do ceremonial cacao, we also have women's wellness retreats. We're both offering acupuncture inside the tavern, so we do a lot of fun things and we're looking to add a lot more in the new year. Excellent to hear, how long have you guys been in business for? Only seven months. Well congratulations on getting it started. Thank you, thank you so much. It's been a dream for seven years. I bet. When people do come to see you guys there, is it because they're experiencing pain or breathing issues, what's the main reason they come? There is a broad spectrum here, so yes it's great for respiratory ailments, but it's also great for anxiety and depression, it helps return your body back to the parasympathetic state versus the phytoplite, so it has a lot of people that suffer with anxiety and depression that come. It also has a lot of people with skin disorders, whether it be acne, eczema, psoriasis, or they just want the anti-aging benefits as well, because it does balance the pH in the floor in your skin and it helps regenerate that new cell turnover, so it's great for that. It's also great for athletes and improves your athletic function. This is a fun fact to like to tell everyone, even the Kentucky Derby horses do this exact same therapy. I wasn't aware of that. That's awesome. I mean they don't go into a fancy cave and do all of that, but they do have a portable halo generator and they breathe in the dry salt. Gotcha, okay. So Rachel, what led to you wanting to start up a business like this, what was your inspiration here? I had a couple actually, so I don't know if you've ever been to check them up, but it's beautiful mountains, trees, but with that, we are at the allergy capital of the world. So with this therapy alleviating allergy symptoms, there was no brainer to me. And then we also host world class athletic events. I'm like, why hasn't someone done this yet, but the real thing that really got me going on the rabbit hole with it, my mother, she has a lot of auto immune disorders and it really affects her lungs and then doctors could have her on steroids and antibiotics for six months at a time. She would come off, no improvement, they would put her back on and we started driving to a athletes fault cave that was about two hours away from us and within two sessions she regained her voice and was like, wow, this really works. And I had to suffer with anxiety, believe it or not, and asthma and it was helping me. So finally the time came and I went for it and Chattanooga has been very welcoming and they've been waiting for this kind of therapy to come to town and I'm glad that I was able to bring it. There you go, I'm sure a lot of people appreciate this, especially if they're suffering with those allergies. Absolutely, I mean, it's great for, you know, people recovering from bronchitis and sorry about that, that's my youngest employee. A lot of people recovering from bronchitis, pneumonia, long COVID, so it's great for so many things. Sounds like it. Well, Rachel, if we want to find out some more info here or reach out to you guys there, how do we do that? Sure, so my website is ChattanoogaFaultCalvern.com, okay, is that the best way? My email is ChattanoogaFaultCalvern@gmail.com and then our phone number is area code 4232876313. All right, sounds good. Well, Rachel, I want to thank you again for joining me on the show today. It's been a pleasure chatting with you today. Likewise, thank you, Phil. I appreciate it. Ah, you're very welcome. Have a good one. All right, take care. You too. Bye-bye. Bye now.
