And welcome back to another episode from PPN. We bring you talk with interesting business people from all walks of life. I'm your host, John Starr. Up next, we are talking with Amato Conno Salinas II. He is a realtor, the owner of SHG International, in beautiful Palm Springs, California. Welcome Amato to our show today. Welcome. Thank you for the opportunity. How are you doing? I'm doing great, man. Thanks for being here. So tell us all about SHG International, all that you do, the services you provide, how you got started. Well, SHG International is a consulting company, and we provide services to other companies and nonprofits. But we really started because I am a realtor with REMAX, Desert Properties here in the desert. I've been in real estate since 1984, and traveled around in various projects from Japan, down to Mexico, over to Canada, and then also to Wyoming and Dakota. So you're non-profit, SHG International. So tell us a little bit more about what the nature of the non-profit going to get. So the nature of the non-profit is we work with non-profits that are looking and are struggling to go ahead and move forward as a non-profit company and administrative wise. So we help, because of the network that we've got during the businesses, we help them understand how important it is to communicate what their objective is in their community. Right now, I'm an advocate for the American Legion and also the U.S. Navy League. So those are also two other non-profits, and what we try to do is help these non-profits not to isolate themselves, but to join in collaboration in the community. Impressive, and how did you get started or, you know, what was the, I guess, motivation for you to get involved in this type of career? Well, I had a great year as a U.S. Navy non-commissioned officer doing flight and guiding systems, the Navy on extent. From there, I went on to the aerospace industry, as aerospace engineers for Hughes, working on the SST project, then on to Northrop and then over to the Department of Defense. But in doing so, I realized, yes, I was fortunate, but I wanted to give back. So since I was fortunate, I was a veteran to come back whole, I wanted to go ahead and give back to our veterans that weren't able to. So as an advocate, I go ahead and help communities recognize the importance of our veterans, our U.S. flag, and what it stands for and the freedom and the benefits that we have. So I work with other non-profits that are looking towards the same goal, working with our youth and our veterans. And indeed, they do deserve the type of recognition that you're talking about. It's quite impressive. And you're very successful, I gather. What would you attribute that success to? Obviously, you have an impressive background, you know, an aerospace engineering, a military, and now in real estate as well. But I guess putting it all together, how would you sort of sum up what you attribute your success to? Well, I guess I attribute my success initially, of course, to my parents, giving me a good foundation with God and country and the importance of our veterans, and of course, the next came with the actual time served in the military and how they were able to organize myself and become focused on objectives. And that was really, you know, the Navy required 100 percent work on that. So I was able to go ahead and put the energies and focus on that, and a lot of people often give up. They just quit trying. You know, it's too hard, it's this, I believe it was easy, everyone would do it. But if you're committed in your task and in the ocean to your cause, you'll find a way to get up the next morning and hit it again, you know, keep going at it. Perseverance is the word. Absolutely. And yeah, that's a great story, Amato, and we thank you for your service and you are, again, obviously a very successful individual. How can our listeners reach out to you if they'd like, you know, like to take advantage of your consulting services at SHG International, you have a good website or phone number. Yeah, go ahead. I hope you'll come back again and talk with us sometime. Well, I thank you for the opportunity. God bless you and God bless America. And back at you, my friend, and best of luck with everything going forward. You take care. Bye bye. All right. Bye bye. And to all our listeners, don't go away.
