We respect it Alright, Eric first. I know you wrote a good thing on the team this morning. We'll get into that in a little bit But first impressions after watching the game. Oh Man jeez, I couldn't stop writing yesterday. There was just so many thoughts going through my mind. I Just you know I love the way that they rose to the occasion that you know They played probably their most disciplined game of the season considering the environment and the magnitude of it Is the you know if they'd lose that game and they got to watch A&M celebrate for the next year They got to watch A&M played Georgia for their SCC championship What they didn't they you know they rose to the occasion they played a clean game outside of it You know a couple miscues Quinn, you know it gives it he gives he takes a little bit here and there But he played well played he played with a lot of grit and toughness the team just you know They pistol whipped them. It was a physical butt kicking the score belies the exact the actual game that we saw You know They were Texas was doing whatever they wanted at the line of scrimmage and that was uh, you know They looked like the SCC team not the not the team had been in the SCC for 13 years Texas A&M not SCC ready coach. What do you think? Total domination from from the first now to the end honestly I thought it was a complete performance by the team just really dominating Texas A&M talking about the atmosphere talking about all those stuff. This team wasn't rattle They wasn't shaking and whatsoever. Um, so it's kind of see them going to that environment and stand together as a team like hey We're in this thing together. We're gonna come out here and dominate We don't care about any of the outside noise It was really really good to see that because they'll need that a game like that and you know kind of fight through adversity Uh throughout the rest of the way, so it was good to see that team just kind of come together and just dominate like they did Yeah the atmosphere so I think you wrote that what did what did your sources around the program think of uh Kyle field, well, they said it was a lot of state and they've ever been in Yeah, so I mean the crowd did their thing. They lived up to their their height the team didn't back them up Uh, but you know, I mean what I wrote last week was that you know, this team is clearly in year one of an install Uh talking about the Aggies of course and it shows they're not you know He's he's he's just now he's fixing the the the root level problems. You know, these trying to fix culture Still trying to get his players in place. He's got a long way to go. Imagine where stark was in his first year So it's kind of funny seeing Aggies crying and moaning about play calling or something The problem was they got kicked they got their ass kicked at the point of attack and when that happens play calling doesn't really matter Uh, you know, I saw somebody on twitter say if we had live live on moss would be 10 and 2 And they show that play of uh mari daniel's getting stuffed three yards behind the line of scrimmage You know, what was uh, what was living on moss going to do do there nothing. Ethan burke lashing onto him If if he's in burke didn't get him. I don't know why you leave a guy that six seven unblock took him three steps to get to the guy Um, but you know, if he's in burke didn't get him verna brought one's right there too. You brought and played a whale of a game Uh, so that you know, they just got beat up front and when when that happens Uh, when you get physically man-headed the play calling matters a whole lot less. So I thought, you know, you know, I think more so read has a pretty bright future Um, I think uh, uh, call and client. I think he's a pretty good offensive coordinator. I think elko's a good coach Uh, but they're in year one and texas is in year four So it doesn't really matter as much who's been in the scc and all that time You know, sark has been building an scc program even while he was in the big 12 Um, so he in a in a lot of ways scc, uh, and it might have had the head start on texas as far as being an scc But sark had the head start on elko and it shows and so Yeah, it was funny watching a and m fan. They have no self-awareness whatsoever You know, they're complaining about nil like they had totally forgotten about the class they bought in 2022 They were bragging about it was really uh, heavy in one direction just defensive line They really poor allocation of resources there to go that heavy in one spot. A lot of those guys are playing for other schools now Uh, but you know for them They just they're just like any sort of self-awareness so that aggy thread on inside texas You know, that's what you wake up to on sunday mornings and spend you know, the first half hour of your day It's going through those posts do all horn does a great job curating all the best, uh, uh, comment on the wall One aggy said something hilarious though. He said, uh He said the game was 17 to 7 but that was because t. You wasn't drag. It was really a 30-point ass kicking Uh, so I thought you know, I thought he's right, you know, that game was was a much bigger win than the than the 10-point disparity Yeah, it was uh, and I what I think we'll call in cline, right? Calling cline is a good offensive coordinator If you just look at his resume, but sometimes styles make fights, man And for whatever reason pk in cline like pk has him totally figured out whatever his style of offenses Pk just naturally can defend really well. So I think there's also an interesting kind of match up there Uh, but it was it was funny hearing some of the the the coping that could go on But I thought overall I thought a and m was pretty honest with that we we beat him up pretty good. Yeah. Yeah, I mean Elko said that, you know, they annihilated us the edges, you know, kick their tails. They couldn't get anything down in the run game because of the edges Uh, we saw that baron siro played a really good game. Uh, had that offside Uh, he came close to getting that pick on that uh, Alfred Collins tip. I want to I want to Uh, yeah, you know, they yeah, they were honest, uh, tori and york had some honest comments. They're a linebacker Um, yeah, I mean that's step one man. You have to have an honest appraisal of your situation Otherwise you can't properly address the issues and so agu fans are sitting there blaming nil Uh, it's a whole lot deeper than that elko needs more time. Uh, I think he's gonna put a good culture in place I don't know if he's ever gonna win, you know 10 11 12 games consistently, but I think he can break 10 wins eventually you just need to keep keep building the program We'll see if Aggies give enough time. They they tend to be their own worst enemy Um, you know, they they buy in a style over substance. They've got a guy that think elko I think has a lot more substance than style Uh, and I think if they give enough time he's he's going to be successful and they need to back him up as well But yeah, we'll see if they're capable of that. I'm not sure They uh They cracked me up because they talk about us being show ponies How choreographed all of their stuff is it cracks. Yeah, but who's the prissy one? You guys have like whole stadium rallies and you guys can sway at the right time You guys have coordinated your walkout perfectly. It looked cool. I'll give it to you I'm a film major looked cool, but i'm saying like we're the ones that are prima donnas y'all are the ones that are very hollywood Yeah, that's why i saw my league jefflin say hey, they didn't show that i'm on a recruiting trip man What is all this extra stuff? I miss what we say that i gotta get them on we gotta get them talking about that Yeah, man, but yeah, it's true. I like the elko higher. They'll be better in the future It was kind of delusional that they all the analysis was on the 12th man You know And it was the same thing. Oh you was saying because they didn't stand a chance sooner magic was going to win it for You know if the news you hear people talking like that you're going to win Because they don't have any any concrete matchups that they have the huge advantage in There was no running back on earth that we've converted that goal line on fourth down it's true No, he was hitting before he could even get going and There was it wasn't just it wasn't just berk that was there the whole the whole line got whipped They just had work out there because they left them on blocking like i said He's six seven it takes two and a half steps to get there And a lacrosse player that can move in that case. Yeah, you might want to put a hat on him I saw some anem guys who I respect they're they're decent. They were kind of like Doing the backhand and compliment of like look tech We just can't compete with that texas nil But texas is doing a great job. We're not saying anything negative about it It's like you're still trying to hint that it's a money thing like a and m doesn't have money Um, that part was interesting as well. I mean, how do they get walter nolan? I mean Like I said, they're just so oblivious to what they you know what they've been doing LSU fans are the same way to they keep blaming nil How do y'all flip kade phillips? I mean, you know, it's Everybody has an excuse Our nil is good is because we're actually Organizing a whole rosster. So it's like we have depth on the second. We have third string guy It's our roster management. We're not just buying the top line players. Yes roster. It's yeah It's dispersed and that's why you see, you know, uh talking about the article that I wrote this morning You know why the defense is so good and the guy goes because there's like there's 17 or 18 of them And they're all they all play significant and they're all interchangeable You know, you might say Anthony Hillsestar or Colin Simmons's star But then baren serals went out there making plays or you know We hadn't talked about east and birk all year and then east and birk's making plays and Alfred Collins have been getting all the headlines the last month and then verner broughton has the game of his life been Uh, you know michael taffet massive interception he had and then they Go down and convert the the long 93r drive. I mean the game was basically over at that point So it's not it's not just headliners, you know, janae baren was not on anybody's stork award watchlist other than maybe ours Uh coming into the season, you know, he was a disappointment to many last year because he was playing heard at star Uh, and so it's just the overall balance. Uh, the baseline ability of the roster is very high There's just there's not a lot of weak points. A lot of teams are top heavy Uh and m is top heavy. Um, but texas is not, you know, they're they're they're very strong throughout the entire roster Yeah, that's different. Yeah, and speaking a little bit to that Uh, I was good to see bill nordin the goal line situation like most people talking about him why he doesn't play much But like he plays in situations like that he just makes a play on the fork They want to stop in and the goal was like that's why he was brought here We got a multiple guys who can play different situations and match any style that you want to play Like that's unheard of most teams are not built that way. Yeah, his job was to create a pile and that's exactly what he did That was cool Did texas come out during the aggy fight song on purpose? Uh, I don't know Not either Maybe I don't know, you know, sarka was talking about sportsmanship after the game because he had referenced Um It referenced michigan going to mid field on a house state and that fight breaking out So I don't know I don't think they did that on purpose But it probably didn't hurt their feelings that they did it either Yeah, that was uh, he didn't stop it from going on. They had the police on standing on it too as well I have a ton of games, man. I don't know. It was crazy. I'm surprised we didn't do it. We tried Yeah All right, look into georgia winning the scc by week versus losing and getting in much better seating and in theory and easier Pass to the championship game. So here's a question I have So right now everyone who's going into the playoffs. It's not playing in a conference championship gets a buy It's not an official buy, but they're not playing this week. Right. Okay. So if you lose your conference championship Game meaning you don't get the first round You get screwed because you didn't get this championship week to recover You get the one week in between but you're also playing in the first round So like losing your conference championship is way less advantageous than just being the 13 Yeah, steaks are very high. There's a lot of guys to get healthy Quinn yours notably is a bond notably Perhaps kelvin banks. We got to figure out what's going on there. Uh jaden blue. Um, yeah There's a number the stakes are very high for this game. I of course you want to win the the conference championship It would be awesome to go, you know big 12 to scc back-to-back Uh, somebody noted on the board, you know, that would be sark second conference championship I think mac bront did mac bront only have two as an entire time something some craziest out like that Uh, it'd be awesome. But also the practical purposes, you know winning the national championship I think texas truly needs to win this game and get that buy week right and get these guys healthy mentally healthy physically healthy We talked about this in november. It's nice to have those buy weeks spaced out by a month Uh, just to sort of regroup and also, you know, then then your coaches gets a game plan They're gonna game plan two teams. They're gonna they know they're gonna play one or two teams Uh, and so, you know, they'll probably Based on the matchup. They'll probably know which have a pretty good idea which which team to game plan the most for Uh, and so that's another huge advantage Yeah, look i'm a i'm in a The category less is win at all. I don't I don't care about i'm losing. I know Lane kevin said something about it and all that look I rather win first year nancy scene We came over and we dominated it says a lot it says a lot does a lot for recruiting does a lot for the program We've got a team built with depth. It's okay We got a lot of guys who have gotten a amount of plan time throughout the season that we can count on, right? You look at young coe black who's played you look at you know, some of the other guys uh jalani mcdonald Like we got guys who can come in and fill in so if somebody does get banged up We can continue to play and not lose a step so to me go in and all don't worry about andries Don't worry about getting time off. Let's just prepare to go win the whole thing This is how i feel about it Yeah I bet we get the five seed as we lose Yeah, but what are the you think they're going to slip alabama in at 12 Like let air is going to state be 11 They're going to have the other ones and they slip them in and then that means you would get rewarded as a five seed with alabama Like alabama's have their problems, but that having to play alabama is not what you want when you want the five seed Yeah, I mean it's still no it's it's it's a terrible match it because no matter what it's still gonna be a physical game Right. Yeah, so it's like man. The incentive structures are just totally screwed up on this play off It's way cooler than a 14, but like I said Losing the sec championship or any championship you lose a week and still have to play I mean you're getting punished for being number two in the conference. It's yep We talked about this a while back uh texas that's why i think this is the high stakes game um You know texas still have the chance no matter what uh, but I think the path gets a little easier if they win this week Oh, yeah, yeah And uh, I haven't checked over on the georgia camp how they're feeling about it Such a weird georgia team dude. So weird. You don't know what you're gonna get They played the most like inspired game versus us, but you watch any other game. You're just like What's going on? Yeah, how did georgia tech lose that game friday night? Yeah, they had a million chances and well, I mean a quick answer is the referees were absolutely atrocious in that game The game never should have gone over time But yeah, you see that you see georgia play like that and you're like man How does this team that played in also october 19th? It just doesn't look like it. It's not even a close resemblance. So Um, you know georgia's gonna have confidence because of that first game the texas has motivation Uh, this is the game everybody wanted heard uh, you know, especially the offense wants this shot at redemption because You know, the defense played very good in that first game and the offense is the one that put the defense behind the eight ball Uh, yeah, I think uh, it's gonna be funny. I'm I'm curious to see how this game gets covered by the pundits nationally, you know, it's uh Everybody texas fans are gonna have a little ptsd. I was in the stadium. So I have a little ptsd based on how the offense Uh played that game Uh, but then you see texas get the running game going Um, you saw quin had a couple downfield shots, which you know ride all the money Uh, he looked comfortable other, you know, the pick the tip pick six and You know the fumble that happens, but he's uh, he had some amazing throws Um, and not just I want to go only had plenty of them If they if they're gonna strike the balance between the run game and the in the passing offense, you know, georgia's I don't I don't see how georgia wins this game, but We'll see still got that defa the georgia defense in the back of my mind from that first game See that's the problem eric because kirby's gonna clip what you just said He's using all of it right now. He's a master motivator The the analysis the media is doing right now is not analysis It's hard to be the team twice like thank you. That's the same thing of like the twelfth man's gonna win it There's no analysis there The value is if you're the losing team, you have the motive to change things The winning team doesn't have motive to change Um, so you can get the losing team can catch the winning team previous winning team off guard because they're gonna have to change things And then georgia is not going to be able to anticipate that effectively um, but Like I said Me and paul spent all week doing great georgia analysis on how this team is up and down and then they played again like it was 2021 versus us So, um, it's all about can kirby motivate them Because they got them first rounders. That's for sure. We're playing in Atlanta, which is basically a Georgia home game Yeah, like for whatever reason our road game ability I would be more worried once again if we were playing at home for whatever reason I don't know why that is, but I like that we're going into enemy territory there South Carolina should get in over Bama in my opinion one of the hottest teams in the country And would have one less loss LSU if sellers did not get hurt Yeah I did not see it coming that I would be a South Carolina fan this this year. They're just fun to watch You know watched them a couple of times earlier. They should have beat LSU. They should have beat LSU even with sellers hurt But yeah, they're they're a good team there and they they played hard their physical Yeah, they would be that they look like a playoff team right now. There's no doubt about it The tricky part, right, they have the head to head. Yeah, so That what do you do with that? And then Bama Bama Bama's gonna get people tuning in Bama equals eyeballs and this is still about money Yeah, Bama brings the money and they have the head to head. I saw did you see laying kiffens Politicking the post that he retweeted No, I didn't see that should see it. He's like breaking down why old miss should make it in and it's actually a very reasonable argument But it is funny that we're like in the era of coaches having to campaign, you know, and I wonder if there's going to be like some shady like former Washington consulting groups that can like start popping up and And helping people uh politicking college football now. It's uh, it'll be interesting But i'm like these things Well, say you get the fifth seed right and you're rewarded with South Carolina or Bama It's like no man. Give us the the g5 team. That was the whole point We could play Georgia two more times Yeah, this game and then in the playoffs Yeah Okay, he's counting this game. I was like how are you gonna play him twice in the playoffs? Even if we lose to Georgia, we still have two weeks off Yeah, but we would have if we were if we're Tennessee then you end up with like When when December 20th, right is when we play for the No, I think that's the first playoff game, right and then the 30th Yeah, I don't know man. I think i'm so focused on in season that I have not really looked at the One of the first 24 20th or 21st So he's saying look even if you're Tennessee, right and you miss the conference game You're still gonna have to play first round so it's two weeks or two weeks, right? Quinn had seven turnover where they played against Georgia. He needs to be a game manager and win the game Here's the thing Quinn played so poorly in that game. What are the odds that you can recreate that? That's kind of what i'm on right now Um, it's just not likely you're gonna be able to turn us over in our side of the field that many times again and plus There's no way we don't see it coming now like the schemes are gonna have to be better the offensive line, you know quinn like They were able to kind of blitz us. We did not expect to see that level of play from them The hill texas to 29 rushing yards. I mean, it's yeah They're not going to duplicate that but it's you know, can the defense play as well as it did that game too? There's there's a other side of that coin Yeah, I feel like texas have improved in two ways one the running game trades a little more patient He's finding holes. He had some holes versus Georgia He just didn't hit and see and the receivers are working with quinn so when you do blitz They're sitting down in the soft zone. You saw against a and m people got open, right? They brought pressure they were able to sit down and give quinn a target to actually throw too. So I think that's improved I don't know what's going on with contravion, but he's just like he's not going down. I want to see if there's a A big difference Somebody's home sick from school. Sorry Look here lane kiffens manifesto is what the media is labeling it He clearly got it off like a board. It's like a screenshot of like some poster Some smart poster put it together and he's like, yeah, that's what I think that's pretty funny Do they have identical records? I don't know look up if baments in south carolina are Identical records because that's where the head-to-head matters Look at curby's track record as the lower ranked team since 2021 It's kind of scary how much that motivates them Yeah, clearly When how many examples are there? I was gonna say like what when because I when they were playing us they were like This is like the first or second time curvy hasn't been a favorite. Um, so it's like I guess Maybe they weren't a favorite against bammo one time in that like a conference championship or something Um, so and also that works in week five But hopefully the players are bright enough to realize that that's strategy If he's able to get them asfired up again, that's pretty impressive. That's a pretty impressionable group of young men Especially after they beat them. Yeah. Yeah Nobody thinks you guys can win because you just beat them Exactly But I have heard uh the media seems pretty pro texas here But like I said, they're doing that base level of analysis like it's hard to beat a team twice Which I don't know if is even accurate if we like look at data Um, if that's even true or not. I just hear it repeated all the time Yeah, it's air both nine and three. Yeah, if they're both nine and three I think you have to go to head-to-head if i'm being honest I think south carolina is the hotter team and it's scarier team, but there has to be some dependable non-subjective ways that we we handle this because it's already getting really kind of shady You ready to talk some recruiting here sure We've already had some people on the board Uh Say that it's over for them if we lose any recruits here We have some people that are pretty pretty dramatic on the inside texas board In a funny way. So talk them off the ledge eric Or don't I I don't want to talk them off the ledge Not you know, um, it's funny. We had somebody post you other days like I don't really you know I'll just wait to see everything unfolds and you know, I'll see what the the total class looks like after sunny day I'm like well you're already way too mature to follow recruiting if that's your approach Uh, you're supposed to live and die by each new event. Um, you know, it's you're supposed to get too high and too low If you're a true recruiting fan. Yeah, I don't advocate that. Um, you know, I think they're gonna They're they're gonna lose the commit tonight. I don't think it's gonna be one that anybody's gonna lose sleep over And you know, they're working to they're working their asses off for a very big finish now whether or not they can pull it off I don't know that I do know that they're trying You know, like I said last night. They're going for the uh, the godfather finish They're trying to wrap it all up in in a couple of loops Uh, I don't know if they're gonna be able to do that because they're going after some really good players that have a lot of competition After them, you know, just as terry, it's gonna be very tight tough, but they're all in Uh, michael fusci very tough, but they're all in Uh, a couple more, you know, we do feel good about keloland wylie, a linebacker out of tampa and michael terry Athlete out of sanitonia feel like those guys are gonna end up in the class on wednesday Uh, but there's a lot of other ones that they're working very hard on that are going to be very tough But they have got so many lines in the water. I think that there is going to be a pretty big development between now and Uh, you know, wednesday for sure, but maybe friday justice terry believes announcing at noon eastern on friday Um, that's the one that they're all I that's one that everybody cares about the most given the need at the position given the fact that they just lost and bought you yesterday Uh, you know, us. He's coming after charma. I feel like texas is going to hold on to him Uh, florida's coming after my own charles. I felt like texas is going to hold on to him as well Uh, florida's also going after zealous hicks. I think texas will hold on there. There's some confidence that they will at least Um, but man, I don't know it's it's a volatile time But just the schools are trying to post from texas texas trying to post from them too It's the same john wick mind set to have him with football field so florida in that last push showed that The business is probably right for florida, but it what is is it lagway? Are they able to sell the lagway incitement and that as well Uh, i mean, they've had a they've done a really good job regenerating hyper on that program a lot of it is lagway Seven and five with that casual dude is respectable man. Absolutely. Yeah, they earned it Now, uh, you know the defense cleaned up the defense if you watched just the texas game you'd said their defense is terrible But they That game was sort of uncharacteristic for the lead up to it and then they've they played better defense sense You know, I think ron roberts pride deserves a lot of uh, uh, praise for what they've done on defense Uh, but yeah, you know, just just you know, they they played a tough schedule played it admirably Uh, and there's a lot of belief in lagway that you know had lagway not been heard the texas game would have been closer and Uh, you know that you know, he's got a very bright future and and when you have money Uh, and you've got hype you can do a lot of things with it and florida right now has more money than they've had in the past And you know saving money on the billy napier buyout Uh, but I think they took the smart approach, you know that napier didn't deserve to get fired based on how this year's gone Right, um, and then they but they had already had the money raised to get rid of them if they needed to So now they're going to put that money to work and either it's going to work out napier next week or next year Or the uh next head coach is going to be in a better position to win early because they were able to stockpile talent this cycle And the kids are closer right florida's closer to where they live And so they're yeah, they've got a proximity advantage with a number of them, but you know, I don't think that's necessarily going to help with jamie french and marron charles Just because you know texas have done such a good job with french Really from the moment. See he uh, you decommitted from alabama in january kj lacey had already been working on him Had a pretty good relationship in texas was able to build that up the right way for a long time over a long period of time marron charles A little bit iffy, uh, we knew you know back to may and june that this one was going to be harry down to the wire Um, didn't know what team it was going to be didn't you know thought maybe it'd be miami that presented the greatest threat Turns out it's florida, but um, you know texas is is doing all I can they're right there on having a very very It's it's already a good class. They've got a chance to really build a top off in the next couple days Like I said, it's going to be difficult. I'm still not sure how it's all going to play out Uh, which is I mean that has me excited normally have a very very good idea of how signing there's going to go Uh, this year there's a lot more uh volatility Uh, what that could be good. Um, but I do know that there's there's plenty of uh optimism behind the scene that texas is going to land a couple studs No, they don't just do micro huts and goodness gracious One also too like i'll hear you know, like the sentiment. Do you want to go with napier or sark which we have here No, this is low risk for these kids man. They can transfer after a year So it's like the thing too is like none of this really has to Like if if you think the situation is closer to home, you think florida's trending up the money's right Why don't you go to florida for a year and if something weird happens man? You can go wherever you want I disagree with that sentiment and I think mike hudson is the perfect example of why And now he's talking about he wants to go to a place where he can be developed I mean you had that opportunity, you know, what better place is there in america than to play water siever for texas? I mean literally who Uh, who else was putting in water sievers to the nfl like like steve sark easy and has Um, so I think I don't believe at this low risk I think I think kids could go for to the school that gives them the best chance of making it to the nfl Um now if you're a central texas kid and you thought that was love it. That's fine But i'm going to play that gives me the highest floor And a school where the coach on the hot seat is not the place to give me the highest floor because you're not gonna have the same Opportunities when you go in the portal, uh, you know, there's they there Texas looks at you entirely different once you go to a different school now if we're if we're talking about portal players They want some of it's proven they want so many that's experienced Uh, so that's not going to be mike hudson. Uh, they'll go find an isa bond They don't want what's the point of taking mike hudson that has a ton of questions about him Um as opposed to many injury injury issues They just had they had three guys going to portal yesterday that would improve the water siever core next year as a project and mike hudson's not one of them so, uh, you know, you don't want to These these players should be looking for the highest floor position they can Uh the less the least amount of variability in their development And if they have to wait a year or two and take the the you know If they have the delay gratification of having playing time then that's the smart thing to do To secure themselves for the next 15 years, you know, it's this is when you're as talented as mike hudson You really are making a decision that impacts your whole NFL career All right, some guys are talented enough to overcome it like evan stewart still going to get drafted highly Despite wasting two years in a and m Um But evan stewart's never going to have the call of scrutiny would have had at texas heading on their whole time Uh, you know, that's the way you got to look at it. Yeah, they would take in 10 percent. Yeah, they want the most out of their 10 percent Um and also there's a steam with wide receivers Particularly that like they want to be uh, unique cool guys They like blaze their own pet like evan stewart with the the dumb texas a and m thing It's like dude. I mean he's got you know He's he's building his own case as a developer with getting the most out of alpha columns in verna broad Yeah, that both those guys were motivated to come back and do well incentivized by you know improving their draft position But you know, they give a lot of credits a big or two Uh, and so yeah, I think I think both those guys are going to have terrific Uh 2026 classes. They've definitely had to work their butt off for whatever they've gotten in this class. It hasn't always been pretty or easy Um nanson was left a very good situation with Elijah Barnes. Thankfully. He's able to capitalize on that had to go find a late Uh, take in keloland wily that one should get done Hopefully on three is right about his ranking and he's a top 100 player because you know, they they're pretty senate linebacker Uh going in the next year, but both those guys have done a good job, but both have been good coaches and have been good Um, good recruiters. Just you know, it hasn't quite taken off for nanson like we thought Yeah, ty anthony smith is a stun. We've been talking about him. I mean we were talking about him when he's committed a and m That's eric's new brawn. So me and Ian post vander built did a breakdown on our Wednesday show talking about how we were struggling on our double teams on the offensive line and Just making mistakes and since then man I've been impressed with the offensive line and their run blocking like they've been more sound. They've been meaner They've can stay on their blocks longer. I mean the offensive line has really picked it up these last few weeks And that's been a noticeable Improvement against good fronts, right? Like kentucky has guys tanks to say and it takes to say an M has guys, you know Uh, so it's like that's what's been cool to see man Is like that in season progression because the run game is going to be so crucial here on the stretch Um and to see the offensive line and wise nerf both clicking and peeking at the right times Uh, that's really important. Yeah, if you go back and look at the other games They were taking the pro necessary steps right on the double teams like double fitting up to the linebacker now They're just moving their feet to get there. Yeah, so that's the biggest Um thing in that like they're actually just executing and executing finishing the blocks That's all it really was. It's just it's mental Right and so you can tell they really have worked on it throughout the season especially during the biowakes and things of nature I don't know if cal flows move got the boards back out where you go down and chop your feet But it looks like that like they're finishing blocks at the second level. I looked a big big counter He's got uh one of the stewards 10 yards down the field man. It's like this is what i'm talking about like It's always been there. It's just all about execution and actually doing it But i'm glad they're doing it late in the season because when he gets colder you got to be able to run the ball That's the old saying right and so they've been able to do that. It's perfect Yeah, there were a number of times where wizener wasn't wasn't touched until five yards and then he got touched and he took the defender for another five yards I you know, I came in in august I wrote hopefully they hit the ground running with the offensive line Um, and that's kind of what I expected was they would hit the ground running last year It seemed like the offensive line had the same thing where it didn't really truly get cohesively until early in the year Just kind of jonathan brooks kind of made up for it uh throughout the season Uh this year they didn't have a jonathan brooks making up for it like sark said He said right when it looked like wizener was about to start hitting his stride this season Early in the year he had a hamstring issue. So maybe that that crimped things a little bit Um, but I seem to remember the offensive lines starting to play a lot better towards the end of last season And they're certainly doing that now You know, they keep it up. Yeah, that could be that could be the thing that resets the ceiling This didn't look like a national championship team a couple weeks ago Uh, right now it's looking like a team that's fully capable of winning the national championship Yeah Let's get this javian hillkin one. We've been very high on gooseby since about five minutes after stepped on campus really part of you know The evaluation in high school is just a big big giant basketball players Is brothers one of the top basketball players in the country and Trevor has that sort of basketball athleticism and offensive lineman body So we've always been extremely high on them We were advocating pretty hard for that offer when he's committed tcu Uh, you know, he was the only offensive lineman that class not to be an early enrollee and I did not know what to expect to make of that But five minutes after he showed up on campus We were working here about that guy's work ethic in the weight room and and just around you know the facilities just always getting after it Uh, so then you start thinking. Oh my gosh. He's he's basically can't miss then if you put this Uh size and athleticism together in a in a guy that's working out very hard I basically a month on campus. They knew he was the heir apparent to uh to to banks And so did we want to see the heir apparent to banks against anem? No, not at all Uh, was I a little nervous when he came in despite all the positive things we've heard I was Uh, but he yeah, he he looked like the the heir apparent for sure Uh, definitely gonna ease a lot of concerns about losing banks next year. Obviously, you know, you can't expect when to be banks Uh, but she's man. He really looked apart. I just kept his composure. You know, he was he played a very mentally sound game is you know, we knew he looked the part athletically and physically Uh, but mentally he was just locked in. I think he did have a false start, but you know other than that She played a very good just yeah, everybody everybody I talked to you after the game was singing his praises Um, that was that was a big time game from but again like wisener and I did no no No surprise. I I singled him wisener and uh, so rel out You know article yesterday and it's because all three of these guys came in we were hearing the same thing about all three of them Is that they're just mentally locked in they're tireless workers And when you do that you not only create an extremely high floor for yourself, but you start lifting the ceiling up And so when you already have a high ceiling like like goosby does Um, you start thinking yeah, this is probably gonna be a future first round draft pick and he he looked the part on uh on saturday Yeah, that's what I thought I was like man. And so he's saying this kind of like conference obsession Uh, I guess is overvalued. I don't agree with that simply because the scc in big tens nfl production is showing you that There's a different caliber of athlete now just because you have nfl doesn't necessarily mean that you're a better team But uh, I did think it was an interesting point though That he's saying that basically everyone there's a lot of teams here that can win it They weren't in their conference last year and I thought that was kind of an interesting point And that was saying like we need more guys that we need more big 12 opportunities in the playoffs, but I thought it was cool.
