IT Live (11/26): Scouting the Texas A&M Aggies, Rivalry Games of Interest
more than everybody takes home here with Paul Wildington and we do our weekly breakdowns on Tuesday and this week it is rivalry week versus Texas A&M. On today's show we're gonna do quick Kentucky thoughts Paul will just give us a little top-line view then we're gonna do the A&M offense A&M defense and games of interest then also this week we are running the Flash Sale guys for Texas A&M one dollar for seven days and 50% off your first year so get it while talk guys you will not regret it Paul I think we got comments today too we do all right that's a couple of lives I wasn't able to pull up the comments and now you can't rush your good morning always always loyal Paul what did you think of Kentucky doing your post mortems how'd you feel about it could win Texas ran the ball probably the best we've ran it all year best we've seen since the second half of the floor to game so yeah I was very encouraging I thought the offensive line played extremely well both pass protecting and run blocking trade weisner did a great job the other backs ran okay except for the whole thumbling part besides that part yeah unfortunately that trumps everything else right yeah and then defense absolutely dominant play from the edges and Anthony Hill just Anthony Hill they've let him play downhill and yeah downhill there we go ball double guns mm-hmm yeah I just he was completely dominant I mean that's he's a disruptive guy when you just say see ball chase ball and then the edges were fantastic you know it's not just that they were running up the field and and attacking their tackles who were bad in getting sacks they were awesome against the run I mean they did a great job so Sorel Simmons Trey Moore they are all peaking at the right time to face a mobile dual threat freshman quarterback in college station so Anthony Hill also man just get him some depth and go chase that he is he's the guy you want and you know going against and then cleaning up plays and pressuring Marcel Reed so I think Texas defense is gonna have some stuff for Mr. Reed we blew some coverages for the first time all season so that's what it that's what it feels like huh that I mean yeah I'm not surprising because that was a normal game last year you know and this year it's like shocking like oh what's happening I think it's all stuff they can fix so you know you could you could explain each one of them and it's very correctable so I'm fired up about the state of the defense going into college station and then the offense you know we've got to figure some stuff out and Quinn yours we got to figure out what his health level is and figure out how much script we can stay on throwing the ball until A&M adjusts and then we have to run the ball so that's that's gonna be the game plan at Cal Field yeah what I like to about the defensive line in the edges is they're getting each other sacks too they're playing in unison they're flushing each other at the right ways like it's not just one guy having to make the play like they're consistently running and even the interior line it's running guys into the edges they're doing a ton of stuff that's really good and that Vandergift sack where all Anthony Hill had to do was run at Vandergift and the back tried to pick it up and Vandergift just fell down Anthony Hill's getting in a quarterback's heads a little bit which I think is funny yeah that Trey Moore had a couple of plays yes absolutely he had two plays that were as good as you you can play edge in football so one was where he speared the tackle so he's a smaller guy he's setting up that guy for a speed rush and he goes speed to power and runs straight up on that guy and spears him right with that arm and just keeps driving his legs and that's how a guy you know who's 80 pounds lighter can put a tackle on his ass and drive him right into the quarterback and then the other play was in the first half Kentucky tried to run a naked bootleg with Brock Vandergift and that is that says perfectly that's like chef's kiss for an edge how to play that and he ended up getting a sack so for those of you who were complaining about Trey Moore four or five games ago he's been a bust he's been a big disappointment he's been a huge asset to this team and he's gonna play a big role in what we do in the college station yeah since Vanderbilt man he's really been a force he was good early in the year he just wasn't getting rewarded he's getting the splash plays now yeah concrete stuff man he he's a smart player physical player he's doing everything right what are the rules for field level speakers so I I think he's talking about that and that's a film level speakers but my rules are you get the student trainers some clippers some pliers you cut them and you accidentally cut them and that's the problem problem solved yeah I think we have them too though yeah I I I it's amazing to me that they would allow speakers on our sideline right I could see it on their side of the stadium but I guess they say it's to so the other side of the stadium can hear the band or something I don't know yeah cuz I know when I know when the film guy the Georgia recruiting guy think it does the really good film breakdowns he was saying when he was at Texas that we had field level speakers too that were pumping bad noise but it would go a little bit he didn't think it was always purely bad noise right the argument is that like they'll pump in crowd noise they'll pump and other stuff too yeah but I've seen I've seen and then get talked about like they're breaking the rules here but I also I think Texas also has field level speakers as well I think it's a thing we could also use up if you don't want to use wire cutters which should be the simple solution you could use a targeted EMP that's true yeah right you want to do like a UAV like a call of duty yeah over under on Shamar Turner getting two and a half personal fouls and sportsman like penalties dude has a tendency to play with too much emotion and bigger game yeah he will if there's an Aggie player to circle that will try to take a cheap shot on Quinn Eures that's that's your guy right there but also that's the player right if I'm a coach I'm like don't touch him but after every play just say something to him you know like just you know like just say something to him nothing that the ref picks up but keep investing in that so in the fourth quarter when the games on the line he does something silly you know yeah I would do the because he's sort of a simpleton I would just do the like she is in your name that's weird like are you a girl your parents wanted a girl is that why you act so emotional all the time are you like a woman anyway I'm just asking questions I'm not trying to get you mad I'm just like I'm trying to understand you man yeah I've just full conversations in like those two seconds yeah just a little bit of that every play and then eventually he's gonna rip off his helmet and swing it at you just the look juvenile yeah juvenile dumb stuff possible that would work but yeah it's an A&M kind of has this I think it's also a team personality thing we'll talk about it but love a lot of man right their whole like thing is like aggression aggression and so I think that kind of bleeds into how the players play after the whistle as well you're saying Aggies love a lot of man yes yeah yeah I agree yeah 100% look and boys love the content fair enough yeah so you can use fair you can use the speakers the tricky part like we said is are they if they're doing it for the ban fair play is it only the ban that's being pumped in that's what you have what if our players put in noise canceling headphones that could work I remember whenever I was talking to quandary digs for a video a couple years ago he had to come to the sideline and ask for aspirin they're like do you have a headache he's like he's like yeah I literally I can't hear myself think so he said the the loudness at that stadium is a real thing given how he played in that game that was a good thing yeah it was the aspirin saved an aspirin yeah performance enhancing drugs but yeah he said it was pretty wild all right you ready to pull up the old breakdown you ever take aspirin or do you just take ibuprofen ibuprofen does anyone take aspirin anymore no I only the only time I hear about it's like baby aspirin for like older people yeah actually there's pretty good evidence that most men should take baby aspirin's just as part of their daily regimen yeah fins the blood did you know that yeah here's our medical advice podcast take the following no here's what you shouldn't take here's a do not listen to me and Paul we have none of the requirement I was anything I worked in biotech therefore I'm probably better than most doctors there we go BC powder yeah stuff tastes horrible though just now huh what's BC powder it's like a crushed headache stuff and it's in that blue thing I thought that was skiing and British Columbia mm-hmm no no no close cocaine reference yes yeah you can get it at your local debt yeah anyone from the DFW area are we known for that did you uh yeah yeah big time big coke heads yeah I was like I've never heard that stereotype yeah you wear like shiny shirts and your credit card millionaire yeah yeah we're all big oil money dr. Wildingtons orders use that's actually good you misspelled my name so I have deniability in the lawsuit he gets off on a technicality works great for headaches SMU is known for that all right let's talk about football guys let's do that all right so we have Texas A&M breakdown here the offense it's not a bad offense they've they're doing pretty well what you'll notice about A&M is like they're a good team not a great team not a bad team so they're pretty solid and if they have a good day they can absolutely stress hey Connor you know what I see in this chart that reminds me of Thanksgiving dinner what a&M gets a lot of seconds yeah there we go there we go wow that gets for play 97th they I'm so excited for Thanksgiving dude all right what's up let's talk food real quick okay number one power ranking okay sides of did I'm a huge I'm a huge stuffing guy so I'm huge on stuffing I'm huge on green bean casserole I'm a big I'm a big guy if we can end this conversation you're you're an idiot you know what are what are what are your choices here well not green beyond not green beans casserole why why it's wonderful you're gonna waste stomach space on green bean casserole not a waste brother it's my family first I said something my family is from Louisiana originally and my mom did does dirty rice okay just very underrated Thanksgiving also she used to make crawfish etude as a compliment to the turkey and the honey baked ham we never yeah we never got any of the Cajun staples you're all you're all doing cocaine which is apparently a new stereotype I've literally never heard yeah I don't know why I never heard that I for a liberal art school I've heard like all those jokes I've never heard that why do I people love casseroles I don't I dude I don't even it's not just green bean casserole dude with squash casserole they do I love that you're right I love casseroles there is a it's incredible man and it's so efficient right you can you can you can eat everything in a casserole meal is lasagna and Italian casserole and yeah in my heart it is if you think about it yeah I love casseroles man any update on Quinn he should he should be good yeah I've been texting back and forth with him he's gonna be fun yeah he's he's all good you know what it's probably not Quinn turns out probably not I just had that realization yeah fucking all all season to a random guy I think it's a student trainer give me some good soft buttery mashed potatoes I'm said I'm not a I'm not a runny mashed potatoes guy I like little I like some chunks in there yeah yeah yeah my wife will make them with you con gold and they have like like you said they have more substance to them they're solid she's quality woman she is what about read it's an Algerian prince what about read yeah what about him all right let's what read yeah with her read so yards for play 56 in the country pretty solid there points for drive 41st solid 35th success rate moving forth that's kind of calling client offense to right they've always been pretty good at moving the ball consistently forward not an explosive offense though no which is not good versus our defense you want to you want the shot at least I'm gonna have a great though right they're not facing a ton of sacks and not facing it's exceptions tip balls that kind of stuff so they're they've just been kind of steady that's been the name of the offense overall Ross we got a super chat which do you believe is most likely elko the program builder like SARC bring the Aggies to elite status or elko the one-year wonder with the previous coaches recruits like sunny dykes at TCU that's an excellent question a lot of Aggies are wondering about that deep down in parts of their souls they don't like to talk about but I think it's probably more likely he's a decent hire unfortunately how do I I'd like to say that he's a scrub and it's all smoke and mirrors but I think long-term if A&M is patient not self-destructive which would not be their MO but I think he is a program builder they got the financial resources I know that and they they are fired up to win I think what he has to do is stave off some of their impulses which is to go for high profile high high money players in the portal that will actually hurt the culture so that was the mistake Jimbo made right yeah I mean he arguably landed the greatest recruiting class on paper in college football history and you know you're there's still remnants of it on their campus but boy that that didn't work out for him so I think it's probably more likely he's a program builder I'd like to give a different answer though yeah so do I I think elko was a good hire I was hoping they were gonna try to go for the flashy A&M typical hire and they went with the smart went after the stoops debacle but I think they went with a solid hire there I think elko is the real thing one of the good things about me mexican I'll be having tamales this week my wife is mexican so I get the best of both worlds there so dude good homemade tamales there's like I look out I look out man it's good stuff all right let's look at the rushing offense first right the big the big ticket item there is levy on Moss great running back NFL running back he went down early in the South Carolina game and he's out for the rest of the season so they've had to kind of cycle and try to come up with the money ball the rest of the run game they have a alright option in Amari Daniels but they're still kind of struggling there we'll see in a second when we you want to look at personnel first Paul before we talk sure so let me ask you Connor have you noticed that they're more reliant on Marcel Reed running the ball now that levy on Moss is out I think they become more pass focused I think they put more offense in total on Marcel Reed shoulders yeah I think he's he's gonna run or throw the ball 50 times against us yeah and I think optimally they would like that number to be 30 35 and I think levy on Moss getting injured really hurt them he was he was a good power runner no nonsense and you know what he had enough top speed that if he breaks a tackle he could he could house it yeah they've yeah that was a big loss man especially because you'll see in a second how unbalanced this offense is they're 59% rushing attack which is a super heavy rushing attack so but that's yeah it's gonna have to - Amari Daniels is stepped in he's not doing bad I think he's like the sixth graded overall back he's pretty good a breakaway pretty good at yards are yeah yards after contact per attempt he's just not very consistent he has a low yards per rush like 17th in the SEC so Amari like if he gets loose has a lot of good speed he can he can get up to speed really quickly if you if you give him that gap but if it's not there he can get stonewalled a bit too not a bad back but definitely not you know Levy on Moss EJ Smith you know he's the son of that they mentioned it seven times a broadcast Ryan Williams yes yep you know he's 17 Emmett Smith oh wow yeah and I'm not familiar man it does not it does not translate he has like the second to worst yards per rush in the SEC so not a well performing back I think it was New Mexico State where there was a clear edict to run him and see if he could hold up and they promptly in the Auburn game gave him no rushing attempts so EJ Smith not a good number two he would have been a number a respectable number three but he's not a good number two right now and since then they've also implemented some things with Terry Busy the number one athlete in the country last year Texas wanted him as well and him one out but they've also started putting him in the backfield a little bit as well so they're trying to figure out the run game and then I think there's also some gamesmanship member Ruben Owens also top five star he was committed to Texas a couple years ago I think good good back for them but I think he went out with a I don't remember fit knee or something like that and he's been out for all the games until now and then recently on the SEC injury reports they started saying that like instead of just being out he's like questionable or whatever so I think that's gamesmanship I don't think he's gonna play but there's that technical possibility I guess I would be shocked to see it so 59% rushing rate so the 20th most rushing offense in the country right now 46th in yards per rush but they're on a downward trend so the past three games including Moz I think they're at like 4.1 so not as good there and rushing success pretty solid this is calling Klein offense what I kind of known for like they can just kind of move forward well 38th rushing explosivity pretty good slightly above average at 60th so the run game is good but not as good as it was three weeks ago before South Carolina hurt their top back trying to read through this here isn't aren't the Aggies assuming to get Owens back this week maybe if he comes back I'd encourage them to play him in a big game in front 110,000 people against a hard-hitting defense that's if you want to make that your effectively your season debut that would be fine by me I bet he puts the ball in the carpet but I also feel like there's some stress right that they they're kind of they might be forcing him back at this point because they're obviously not in love with their depth of running back also I had a bunch of friends that were like this is gonna be the guy this year is like no it was always gonna be Moss as their number one I mean dead you know he opens it was gonna be their compliment and by the way when he did play last year he was terrible yeah he was bad we got some good comments coming in guys we'll hit him as we like structured through the defense but y'all are making some really strong observations here well nowhere in this does it address how their offense deals with magicians or the dark arts that's true what if a card appears in Marcel Reed's shoe unexpectedly that would what are you getting at here Paul it was just well it happened to Connor Wegman and it derailed the entire season form that's true that dude everyone turned on him so fast including the Aggie fan base just his his response to magic is is so it was so revolting for whatever reason so I would with any recruit that comes in like a junior in high school five-star he's coming in Starks courting him I would just take a nickel out of his ear or a penny out of here and show it to him and see how he reacts and he just kind of sits there and goes that's a stupid parlor trick that's your guy no if he's like oh bro no no bro no if he does all that boom done just put him on a plate right then and well and also man just like looking at him on the sidelines he's disengaged he like just like bad attitude just not a very likable player consistently not very likable he seems like like when you lived in the dorms as a freshman like every dorm had the the pothead guy who were like rastafarian stuff and he's like from he's from Helen park Ross Trent Wigman's dad is like the CEO of a major holdings company the monsters the right is like no bro no from the street dog all right all right Connor yeah yeah exactly dude it cracks you up but we keep going y'all let's hear from our Baker hi I want to tell you about Laura Baker if you're looking for a new home in the 512 or even at this point let's face it 737 area code there's only one number to call that's Laura Baker at 512-784-0505 as a member of the elite Andy Allen team with Keller Williams Laura details she's a friend give her a call all right so A&M just isn't good no they are good she all the green they're good they're good yeah green is good they're good they're a good offense they're good defense - they're a good team they're going to point out seriously because we need to get serious here Connor I'm tired of you messing around and making jokes oh havoc rate so A&M does a good job of staying on schedule yep they you don't inflict a lot of negative plays on them at least so far this year so that 11% havoc rate if you guys will recall do you remember Kentucky's was it was like 20 20 like in the 20 low 20s right yeah which held up in that game right Texas had like 13 tackles for loss six sacks and we pressured their poor quarterbacks on like 60% of their dropbacks right A&M has done a good job through play calling and also just their design of their offense of they're never they're not I'm not gonna say never but they're rarely in second and 17 which in which the burden of offense really falls on a young quarterback and you suddenly are start making mistakes it's always kind of third and four second six like it's manageable football downs and they they have the ability to to maintain some semblance of good down in distance so they're not exposing that quarterback and I think that's an important thing to point out they're they're doing a pretty good job standing ahead of the chains right in the country and have a great allowed yeah and Colin Klein's been good at that historically that's really where he's that that's straight Kansas state which is don't call plays that are gonna put you in bad situations don't get into negative downs and it keeps your game script positive and it's it's right in Elko's wheelhouse as a defensive coach because you're not having to compensate for an offense that keeps slipping your throat and you know given the ball to the other team on your 25 that gives you that predictability which is nice what's that's it just want the offensive line I think someone asked about matchups they're offensive line doing well in the running game 29th and offensive line yards 24th and rushing power success rate I know the A&M fans have been mad because there was a couple like key downs for South Carolina and some other games where they got stuffed and so the fans automatically saw like three instances of getting stuffed and thought that they couldn't do it on short yard is that's not true that just happened all kind of come at once and so they're actually pretty good in those short yardages and they're pretty good at stuff rate right they're not letting people fly into the backfield and just like hit their back untouched who passing offense Marcel Reed and we'll talk a little bit of a Reed's running game let's let's let's look at their personnel first so what I think of the A&M receivers are none of them are great or elite or like super scary none of them are total liabilities are bad so I think the floor is really strong there their guys kind of all make different plays at different times but there's not like an Xavier worthy right now I'm not even talking speed I'm talking about just like like a Armstrong from Arkansas right there's none of that that kind of player so that's what I think is gonna be interesting so Noah Thomas is their most targeted by far six foot six 200 pounds so he can go up and climb the ladder on you has good catch radius but he also housed like a 73 yarder versus Auburn so he has a little bit of speed there to like caught it and ran not the other way around so Noah Thomas has been really effective for them you got to watch out today Walker he makes a couple like nice catches but he's one of the worst and like yards after catch he's not impressive in yards per reception so kind of a possession he guy right now is the play style Cyrus Allen was one of their better receivers went down with injury he's gonna be out for the season so he doesn't matter there what's interesting dude Moose Muhammad right that was the name everybody was talking about going into the season that's weird right yeah one of the most notable guys but dealt with injury and then they've also like the fans are kind of like whispering you know like if he gets his mind right he could really be something you know so I don't something's going on Moose but he's not a factor right now but he was like their only clutch player the prior two years yeah like he'd show up in big games you would make big catches that's why administration changes are so interesting because you'll have a player that with one coach was the starter and the dude and then the next coach for some reason they just don't the system doesn't gel you know yeah I think the A&M receivers match up really poorly with us I think correct their inability to separate is gonna be a problem and I think we're gonna be able to put their offense in a box pretty quickly once we sort out exactly how they're gonna attack us I'm not sure we're going you know zero blitz you know man-to-man across the board but I think we can vary up our coverages quite a bit against these guys I think the mistake would be to actually concede these guys catches based on execution and what I mean by that is I don't think these guys can separate so you know we're gonna play some zone for good reason than you should because you want to keep eyes on Marcel Reed when he when he runs but a lot of Noah Thomas and today Walker is run to a spot turn around and be six foot six right I think I want to put my hands on them a little bit and make them try to separate and I don't think they can I really don't think they can do that so yeah a lot of comebacks well they'll work back down the stick because the corners are playing off they'll take that's very Kansas State that's very big 12 also they do a lot of stick routes right where you'll run five yards everyone will sit down they have a lot of that and then they do a lot of crossing stuff so you do have to be wary of the man but also like I said these guys aren't super burners so even if they're doing the crossing stuff we should likely be able to keep up there yeah I I think we're gonna do a lot of man under and then zone on top yeah so whether that's single high where Michael Taft is lined up 18 yards back or if we rerun you know cover some variation of cover two I love the idea of Judei Baron Gilbo Muhammad squatting on those routes and not conceding their little ball movers that give Marcel Reed confidence I I want those throws challenged and I want Marcel Reed to have to hold the ball and be like oh I need to make something happen you know the weight of the offense is on me and every down then he will but if over the course of four quarters fifty fifty five pass plus rush attempts on a young freshman against a good D I think it's gonna weigh on them yeah do you see the secondary taking risks to jump routes like last week by the nature of their routes they're jumpable right anything that works back down a stint or anything that you run and sit and sometimes it is obvious right Marcel Reed's not great at looking guys off he's young he's a good quarterback he's a young quarterback so there's gonna be opportunity just by the nature of some of their route selection to get those interceptions and you can see that we're aggressive so yeah and I'm down with taking some risk I think that's what Paul's saying to like kind of put Reed in the blender there yeah I mean really the the so like Kentucky hit three explosive plays in the passing game okay first we we did not cover Jamori Macklin we literally didn't have a guy assigned to it so that's a straight and bust okay second Judei Baron of all people got greedy on a go route Barry and Brown was running a go route all the way and Baron was peaking inside thinking that they were gonna try to throw something short and he wanted to jump it and make a big play and you know forward but Barry and Brown just kept running and the young freshman quarterback throw a nice ball and and there's no makeup speed on a 4-3 receiver right so today Baron just blew it and he knows what he did he got kind of greedy just it was second 23 dude just played play it honestly and we're going to be fine there and the third was cutter bully got outside the pocket and we kind of lost track of receivers as they started moving around doing the scramble drill and cutter bully just threw a great ball it was a nice pass aggressively down the field and he just threw a great ball and that happens it's part of football but you know two of those three things are addressable simply by being more in the game and playing you're doing your job right the other one was just a great play and you tip your cap but there's a reason Kentucky only scored seven offensive points yep barber slot for them faster guy low average depth of target so your typical speed slot right throw it to him short and let him try to run except he doesn't have great yards after Kasper reception so kind of midling there right so I think like when they grayed out kind of all the wide receivers they're all like I don't know like 20th to like six or like 20th to probably like 13 like they're all solid receivers nothing crazy bad but nothing crazy good but also like when you have that many solid receivers that's still a threat because you don't necessarily know who it's coming from and that kind of stuff so you still need to be wary so I'm like I'm not knocking this receiver core I don't think they're elite but I also I don't think they're bad at all and if they get going in unison and you don't know who's gonna get the ball then they can actually cause some trouble and then Terry Bussey who I mentioned earlier I was getting running back reps as well athletic kid he hasn't done a lot yet he hasn't been able to be graded because he he's young but good athlete watch for him something with a wrinkle or something like that see here looking at the comments a pick six in this game for Texas and you can say good night to this one yeah I mean big plays are gonna matter have y'all mentioned Mac Browns firing no someone commented earlier that that was gonna happen but we're on the live we haven't been able to see much my comment would be all right it makes sense you know I'm not mad we'll get the passing offense real quick and then and then we'll let the audience know about Gabe yards per pass 36 in the country pretty good here right not bad passing success rate little more sketchy 50th still above average still green passing an explosivity pretty good so they've been able to do that well so Texas needs to be aware read now some of this is including yeah it doesn't get sacked yeah some of this is including Wigman here read head is like I don't know the third best pressure to sack rate but read also is top three an average depth of target which means he's head hunting and he's top two and holding the ball too long so that's why Auburn was able to sack him four times yes it's the Paul Wildington theory of the running quarterback can actually get sacked more because just by the nature of them wanting to extend so so don't believe it's not 76 because Wigman was a statue at times it's better than that but there's still some opportunities that we're gonna see because Marcel Reed can absolutely evade but he can get locked in as well and give us some opportunities so pretty good passing offense Paul would you do us the service of letting them know about Gabe I'll be happy to talk about Gabe Winslow he's the man he's the best damn mortgage guy in the great state of Texas and even if you don't live in Texas this is a guy you can call and he can help you out whether he's licensed in that state or not he will steer you right and just because he's a good guy he'll help you out so if God forbid you live in a place like Connecticut or Rhode Island Gabe will still help you out and just cuz he's a mensch even though he's not gonna get paid on it you can reach him at 832-557-1095 why would you want to reach him Connor well purchasing a house is the biggest financial decision 99% of us will ever make and you need the right people on your corner Gabe is that right people that's not good language but he's a good mortgage guy here's why over 20 years in industry he's got a law degree former national mayor at scholar this man is to over qualify to be doing mortgages when he loves it he loves helping people realize their dream of getting a home and that's what it's all about so reach him at 832-557-1095 find out how he can help you realize your home purchasing dream thank you Paul so passing off in our overall this offense is 30 second in the nation in efficiencies like we said this is a good offense not a great offense don't don't get it twisted but this is a good offense probably the it's got to be the second or third best we played I think Arkansas was number one I'm struggling to come up with a number two so they might be the second best offense we've played I'm trying to kind of run through everything in my head yeah I think they're probably the second best offense we've played most importantly third down right 23rd in the country that ties the the Haddock rate allowed thing right mm-hmm they're not in third and 13 a lot they're in third and two a lot yeah that's why Colin Klein was a good hire when they made that hire I was like dang also very important second in the country in the red zone that extra man advantage of a running quarterback very helpful down in the red zone yeah so A&M is definitely a threat their offense is solid and like we said we've done the offense we face that was better was Arkansas we completely shut down Arkansas save for one drive but Texas is gonna it's a it's a real matchup for Texas yeah here is you got to give them a whole field you got to give our defense the whole field to defend if we can give our defense 75 yards of field to defend we're gonna be fine I think A&M can put together a drive like methodically right and then the rest of your fear is single-play explosives just crazy stuff happening guys loses their mind doesn't cover someone and then your second fear is short fields and turnovers no so against Kentucky Quinn you know Quinn yours created seven points for them right with that fumble into the into was a Dumas Johnson I think yeah you can't do have stuff like that in this kind of game if you think it's gonna be played in the 20s you can't concede seven points so that's important for Texas you can't set up a bunch of short fields for the defense to defend you can give the defense 75 yards to defend we're in good shape I'm pretty positive about that yeah I think you nailed it I know I think the Texas defense for the versus A&M offense I feel great about I think that they can there's potential to really stifle them there but on the inverse everything you said was about how the Texas offense is gonna be the is the is the matchup that's gonna determine this game so and that's what I think too I think it could be low scoring like you said in the 20s I think there's a potential for both offenses to stall out here and so I'll give you kind of my thesis on that going forward let's look at some comments really enjoy these daily Vids IT fans are spoiled we appreciate you Jacob for always being in the chat Paul you're thinking Texas football is solid so happy to see you both breaking down opponents Paul gets a trophy for keeping things sarcastic sorry sarcastic and things sarcastic that's right I didn't know if he was trying to say sarcastic I love this guy one because people that liked me I'm a huge fan of also he plugs two separate proper properties cleverly so the thinking Texas football preview magazine which you guys aren't buying you're missing out and then everyone gets a trophy podcast which we do with our friend Randy Boone one of one is out right now so thank you appreciate it Chris yeah shout out oh Bixby horn has a good a good comment see oh there we go yeah real knucklehead that's what you're for yeah you guys are sharp today everybody's on it everyone's on point you could tell that this is a rivalry week yep do you all think there's any chance they play Wigman as part of the game plan I don't know what yeah they could play Wigman it will not be part of their game plan coming in yeah they're gonna play Wigman because Marcel Reed either gets overwhelmed by the moment or he gets hurt that's how Wigman goes in he's not going to go in on the third series and have a series of design you know bombs or something like that's not a thing that's not how they're coming into this could he play yes but it's gonna be injury or Marcel Reed is crapping the bit yeah on read does PK play it with a spy Ant Hill or dial up some blitzes I think you plan like tail and green so I think you mix it up you change who's on him yeah you mix it up and you can blitz to contain you know people think blitzing exposes you you know if you're if you're a good defense and you're playing Lamar Jackson and the Ravens you blitz to contain you don't just stand there and say well we've got a spy and let's rush three that's that's too much time and you know too much open field frankly you know you can constrain and contain a running quarterback by occupying your gaps properly and blitzing and blitzing also lower Reed's output passing he's like bottom three and completion when blitzed and he's also a poor like bottom tier short passer period yeah I gotta say we showed a ton of blitz against Kentucky uncharacteristically yeah and a lot of that had to do with something that we were talking about and I know I pointed out my preview Brock Vandegrift was awful under pressure he's bad dude and so obviously they saw that on film or they just saw the statistic or both and they're like hey let's bring it on these guys because they certainly can't defend it now A&M's offensive line is a step above Kentucky's yeah but some of that may still hold and tell you what man 110,000 and crazy energy in the in the stadium that's all awesome for your football team but it turns against you real fast if the game is going too fast for you as a freshman quarterback and you're getting hit hard and you're throwing up the ball and there's interceptions and you're getting strip sack the game like everything can start to wait on you and all that 110,000 starts to suddenly be a bird not not elevating you yeah you think we could possibly lose PK since he has a great defense no yeah there's no there's no upward path I mean head coaching would be the only thing and you see he's not an NFL coach he's not doesn't want to be a head coach and there's no program that can take him from him if we want him to stay yeah he's been awesome man how concerned are we of Bert Auburn's consistency do you believe that Texas success in the red zone has led to his kicking misses opposed to last year 100% so he broke the record last year because we were awful in the red zone and he had a billion reps I think he just gets trotted out not very often and I think it's affected his his kicking game mental game all of that being ready to go what do you think Paul I don't understand kickers so I don't know you know I mean I hope the game doesn't come down to a 52 yard field goal to win it yeah and I think A&M has a pretty good kicker I know they have a good punter yeah Randy Bond is that his name yeah something like that yeah all righty let's look at defense the vaunted Texas A&M defense which is actually pretty good unit but not as good as the when I watch the broadcasters I'm like what y'all are just repeating things you know you haven't verified any of this you know like for a first year Elco defense don't get me wrong this is a great defense I think they're top 20 are you suggesting that sports color guys don't do intensive studies of their the teams they're covering did they correct me up because they do the Thursday meetings with the coaches and just repeat with the coaches told them like the coaches are gonna say that everyone's elite and there's a very good team yeah you have to you have to look there's huge weaknesses in the Texas A&M defense you'll see it in a second so opponent plays for game 37th or points per game 37th not too crazy points for drive 30th really this is where they're really can frustrate an offense this is why I'm worried we can stall they're 13th in defensive success rate so teams are not able to put together consistent drives versus them and that's the tricky part but here is the Achilles heel 131st in the country in defensive explosive there's a hundred and what 34 FBS teams so they are they give a bombs man and that's how you have to beat them so basically they're gonna go super aggressive a lot of man a lot of unique blitzing and if you can identify what they're doing and hit them you're gonna score 80 yards here's what's weird about it Homer that's the antithesis of what Elco's done his entire career so is this a player personnel problem or is it Jay Bateman calling the defense I don't know I don't know why it's so man heavy but like like even like it's so obvious like on third downs they'll play man teams play a lot of man on third downs right but I mean it's really just like run across her and you can complete like it's not like it's a lot of like manhole so there's man rat so you're gonna have somebody to pick up a crosser over the middle but other than that it's just pure man it's a it's not that crazy and they're like there's a ton of disguise and all of that there's not a ton of disguise like I've watched it they'll play too high they rotate sometimes but it's like it's not crazy man like the guys like I have a mustache I must be okay again I'm hearing the broadcasters tell me things that my eyes are not seeing you know they'll go with the broadcasters yeah clearly media pretty reliable yeah and so he's known I mean Elco's known for carrying a big bag right and willing to kind of disguise stuff I don't know if it's year one and it's gonna take a while to implement more I don't know if the games like the three or four games that I really focused on maybe got more of a man defense but it wasn't it wasn't crazy disguise like it was yeah it was man so this stuff happens within the context so let's talk about that who has who have they really struggled with in terms of quarterbacks South Carolina big running quarterback through deep right and a good running back high-level running back yeah okay who else did they struggle with Nuss my early Nuss my early but ultimately they turned him over a lot and turned that into a positive defensive performance yeah that was all that was a weird game for him Auburn yeah Peyton Thorne was moving on him yeah Peyton Thorne threw for over 300 yards and had several big plays and a lot of those were not on traditional dropbacks but on sprint outs on bootlegs and of course Peyton Thorne can run right yeah so I think but what do we not have well that's what I'm saying yeah that's why it's like scary the explosivity seems to be that they have guys in their secondary with multiple things in their head about stopping the quarterback run game stopping a run game overall because Jack was hunter murdered them as well for Auburn and then of course Rocket Sanders for South Carolina so I think when they've got a lot of stuff in their head and a dual threat and then deep balls and play action I think that's what's hurting them that's not really what we do right we don't have a cam Coleman we're not just throw it up on a fade ball style what I don't think Quinn is like they're not in deep fear he's gonna rip off a 38 yard run so and our running backs you know Trey Wisner has played well he's not been Jack was hunter so I think that we're gonna have to attack some of their weaknesses in a novel way and I think there's some we'll talk about it there are some ways to attack them particularly their linebackers and coverage which I think Sark will excel out but I think some of this formula may be deceptive and that we can't exactly mimic the teams that hit him hard here balls correct and you'll see that on my breakdown where I'm like man A&M's week here so are we and can't exploit it you know that's kind of the frustrating part so that's what's gonna be interesting the name of this game would actually be Yak so get it to bond super quick bond breaks a tackle and goes for 70 yards that's you can also have success there but singing it through the air is not really our style if I get me in a large Tibetan draft animal yes yes of course man all right what you think I was talking football no so rushing game on the defense they're pretty good here 30 second opponent yards per rush defensive rushing success rate top 20 they're 19th so teams are not able to run very consistently big problem right 128th in rushing exposivity because they are aggressive Kirby Smart taught me this not personally on a clinic but he was saying that you know people like linebackers to automatically come up and fill gaps they don't do that at Georgia because you create the whole point of having linebackers is to have a second level is his argument and whenever you have linebackers collapse on the run you thin everybody out onto a first level and if someone misses their gap you can go for 80 A&M has that problem so they'll try to all come fit their gap someone will miss it there's no one there you can beat a safety or if your A&M the safety is already involved and down there so you can hit big runs flip side Texas is one of the worst offensive rushing exposivity teams in the country so we can't on paper it's gonna be bad versus bad which is hard to project so maybe Texas can break one but there's not like Texas is not a explosive rushing team versus a bad explosive rushing team a lot of our good runs go for 14 yep not 44 yep right yeah yeah so I don't know if we'll be able to make them pay on the rushing side defensive line yards good defensive line right you hear about the A&M defensive line a bunch because they have two potential first-rounders at edge well that's where the stats marry up with your eyes which is the defensive line in A&M is very big very physical they have big edges they're great at holding the edge they're they're great at stuffing the run the linebackers the ones that are messing up and allowing runs when they do happen yeah so defensive line yards solid defensive rushing power success rate a little bit above average stuff rate A&M can yeah A&M can bust through the line and and hit your running back so you have to be aware of that so A&M defensive line solid so solid rushing team they actually hold the advantage on us they have a better rushing defense than we have a rushing offense which is worrisome right because you'll see later we'll talk about it too but if we're trying to run on early downs it's probably not gonna work and then we're gonna end up in third and longs and then you're facing a pass rush and that and that can sometimes stress Quinn out so there's some potentials here to stall the Texas offense that Quinn's gonna have to be on his game it starts gonna have to have to scheme right like we're gonna have to play a pretty inspired performance here because some of the stuff that A&M is really good at we're particularly weak at it on offense sounds like this would be a good game for Quinn to hit a play action deep post route he needs it yeah that would be big and he threw one right he threw one versus Kentucky the DB was able to drape over bond and get it but I was like at least he threw it they're reading your articles Paul thank you all right let's look at the secondary they are 54th and opponent yards for pass pretty good once again Elko really solid like not letting teams put drives together 16th in the country and opponent passing success rate but big weakness right 120th and passing explosivity so you can hit the shot and the shot doesn't always have to be the fade right it doesn't always have to be over the top A&M gives up because they play man and sometimes they can play close to the ball if you can hit that quick slant perfectly on the run you're past all the levels of the defense and if you got a fast guy he can go for 40 yards so I'm not saying when I say explosive passing it doesn't all mean Quinn's got to hit deep he's not great at that Quinn's got to hit short and precise when they bring heat and that's how you can also score on the A&M defense because I don't like you said I don't think we have the cam Coleman situation like Peyton Thorin just throwing the deep post middle of the field top receiver goes and climbs it that's not really our offense so that'll be important Connor there's a comment I want you to pull up which one Blake Brian are running backs are running backs against their linebackers and pass coverage should be a favorable match up for us amen yeah so that's what Sark is gonna look at and say all right their linebackers aren't super assignment sound and they can't really run that well so I'm gonna get Weisner and blue out on the perimeter and see if we can exploit that the obvious counter to that is Elko might throw in a dime defense you know he he might roll out a three two six or four four one six and just say you know what we're having safeties cover your running backs out of the backfield and you better show us you can pound the ball between the tackles and push our defensive line around enough that you can run and make us get out of it so there's gonna be an interesting tension there if Texas can throw the ball out of the backfield also wide receiver blocking is gonna come to the floor in this game and other than Wingo and Golden our wide receivers have blocked terribly yeah they don't even try sometimes bond has been embarrassing yeah gold it I mean a bold and just little right he doesn't he can't like a man handle someone on the perimeter golden and Wingo have been the only somewhat effective blockers and those are the two guys you kind of want getting the ball right on that screen or on that little short throw and you know there they're also that I mean we've got to bring it like you've got to bring some aggression and you've got to put some A&M second and third-level defenders on their back or on on on skates or else our short game is not gonna work and it's gonna be freaking second and 14 and then there's gonna be a cascade of bad effects that come from them yeah you have to make this defense pay you got to make them pay when they screw up yeah and like they they'll over commit resources you have to make them pay so like Quinn has to be sharp he has to be accurate he and receivers got to punish them because if you don't punish them with explosives they're gonna stall you out other part of their explosives counter this is not a great tackling defense right they come loaded for bear and you'll if you watch an A&M game you'll see a lot of big hits by the Aggie linebackers and secondary you'll also see them come a little too hot and they get side-stepped so that golden route that we ran against Kentucky early where golden caught a little out route not even a full-out more like a dig and then he side-stepped the Kentucky defender flying at him and he ran for an extra 10 yards of Yak that's the kind of play we got to make over and over and over we're gonna make them hey if we're going down at first contact when a guy brushes against the thigh you know Jaden Blue Trey Wisener if that's happening we're gonna we're gonna get upset we're gonna lose this game if they're then shaking that guy off and then adding another 10-12 yards we're good to go DeAndre Moore is a bit blocker DeAndre Moore is banged up and I don't know his status so yeah tight end over the middle should benefit us if you watch South Carolina with Simon yes Simon matched up on these linebackers and they would they would get him helm is gonna be a problem for A&M yeah I I'm not sure how it's gonna pan out but I would say absent like a single-play shot I think I'm projecting helm to have five or six catches and fifty or sixty yards and probably lead us in receiving yeah so this is what's interesting so you hear the this is the announcer thing again they're talking about the A&M D line pass rushing this is a good pass rushing unit they're 57th guys but they like they talk about them like they're top three in the country so like they're pretty good at getting sacks if you look down here to like sacks per game they're 45th so it's like not bad but I think only one other players Scorton has four sacks Texas has three players with four or more sacks and Emily has one so once again if you start hearing the announcer's talking about the A&M D line and not the Texas D line they're wrong but here's an important thing about their D line power rushes across the board bull rush bull rush bull rush Scorton has a spin move that's really good that's his that's his power to speed move if you can handle the the spin you can handle Nick Scorton as a pass rusher he's he's still an elite run defender on the edge but he's not in a this isn't Georgia's defensive line where they have a bunch of mutants and Walker who can kill you those dudes run four or five forties they're ridiculous right now they've never played like that again for the rest of the season I know dude it was driving us Georgia right speak I mean just whatever it's a weird team but the A&M doesn't do that and I got to say particularly at guard particularly at our tackle spots we handle power rushes well like dudes don't throw Cam Williams back into the quarterback that's not a thing people don't throw Hayden Conner back into the quarterback that's not good on speeds stunts and twist that's how they get us twist speed quickness and then frankly yours inability to negotiate the pocket to help that that mayhem and chaos A&M is a very straightforward power rush you know what team we just played that has a power rush Kentucky wildcat Kentucky yeah cuz we were what what our past protection look like against Kentucky yeah it looks solid and Quinn look super calm what it so I really just stood there yeah didn't have to move off a spot except maybe once or twice and that was like to open space so it looked good so I've said this right I've said that the A&M defensive line in the past rush is overvalued I stand by that statement what you have to know and that's in concrete stuff they still move quarterbacks off their spot all the time if you count sellers how many tax sellers had to shrug off they got to sellers like eight times also South Carolina does not have an offensive lineman who would start for us yeah not a single one yeah keep that in mind yeah so so look here's the deal Texas fans a lot of them think our offensive line has been disappointing no it's in the country right now well that's the thing you could tell who's on the YouTube channel only and who's actually inside Texas subscriber because if you break down the games and I do break down the games in my post-mortems very few of our sacks are on the offensive line correct and just keep that in mind the quarterback plays a role the play call plays a role and running backs and tight ends play a role in past protection here's what I'm worried about sellers shrugged off eight sacks pretty much yeah 100% that's not good nuts Meyer one of the actually surprisingly one of the best pressure pressure to sack rate quarterbacks in the in the SEC yeah he's actually not big but he's actually pretty strong he's got a good base and so nuts Meyer had his success early he totally blew it later on but had success early because he's able to navigate the pocket Peyton Thorne had success right but he was able to do so all of these examples were giving of quarterbacks being able to carve up a and m to some degree we don't have those trades at quarterback so that's so be wary you know cuz they'll be like man Auburn tore you up LSU tore you up early South Carolina tore you they tore him up in the run they really didn't tear him up in the past but you got to be aware that we don't have that quarterback that's gonna score and touches Quinn he's going down and so it's like we don't have the quarterback that's gonna roll out and and do all this extra stuff now he could right there's been some games where you see it from Quinn so it's hard to project but that's I'm that's I do think there's some PTSD there from Georgia's attack like you said it's not the same attack it's a power rush attack but they do blitz linebackers they have good interior they there's potential here for Quinn to get overwhelmed what do you think yeah potentially you got to say it at the chains you have to the key is like Nick scourton Shamar Turner and Stewart they're different guys on third and 14 versus second and four like it's a different world and Elko you know he'll bring creative blitzes right and he'll speed you up and he'll guys and that's when you can get into trouble so he'll bring safeties from depth he doesn't we got to stay ahead of the chains they'll bring the nickel as you and I pointed out in the Vanderbilt game that became a big feature of speeding us up but I mean look Texas Homer wants to start arch manning it's a valid perspective and that should be in the title of this video so we have I want to get some views right that's that's what we'll have to do no I do not want to start arch manning at Kyle Field for the first time there I want Quinn hey Jason Washington has a great comment here is it's very relevant would you consider A&M D line stronger than Michigan's no but they are the most comparable group that we have played because other than Stewart for Michigan they are a power rushing defensive line they move you backwards into the quarterback and how do we hold up against them good real good real good real good yeah it's you're right it's not the Georgia thing where you're like my kill Williams is terrifying they're just gonna try to bull rush you and look yeah I mean my kill Williams a German Walker that's a combo that no other defense in college football has you know the closest team that has a combo like that Texas not you Texas though me you if they if they put me out there dude they shot dude but I know there's signs of cocaine uses exactly the classic didn't stereotype extreme arrogance yeah grandiose it is grandiose thinking grandiosity that's why Connor always calls me at three in the morning wanting to start a business with yeah that's true if you heard about Bitcoin hey bro have you heard about these other coins Justin Bieber coin you got long horn coin DFEI so in their efficiency is really good right top 20 defense for a year one man elkos done some really good stuff he's turns out good defensive court he's not the defensive coordinator but also Sarkeesian is not our offensive coordinator but he is so that's kind of the it's the elkos style is really good this is where I'm worried Paul you've said correctly we have to stay ahead of the sticks yep guess who's number four in the nation on standard downs rates that doesn't let team stay ahead of the sticks who Texas A&M it's Texas A&M correct yes yeah got it so what's interesting here to fit if you it was been like bowling green yeah exactly fun fact bowling green standard downs rate right so they're they're really good at getting teams in third and whatever's now when they do get in passing downs it's interesting they're 68th in the country and success rate on the inverse stick with me here this is a little bit numbery but when A&M does get you into third downs they're about average and giving up the play Texas is one of the best not one of the best top 20 I think they're 12th in passing down success rate on offense so when Texas does get behind the sticks even though it's not an advantageous situation to be in Texas has been able to get out of it and what's good there is A&M is not good at stopping people from getting out of it so even if we do get stuck in those third and longs which we do not want to be in there still should be some opportunity for us to make some place which is a good saving grace here right yep they're good on third down their 15th in the country on third down hey why is there red zone D garbage I really don't I don't know whenever I was watching it it didn't like pick me up I the only thing I can think of is the over reliance on man and you can just switch route I noticed that on a ton of third downs is that is that a bunch of field goals is that because that's just scoring percentage right this yeah this is not pure touchdowns okay I want to look that up and see what that looks like yeah so it is weird that the red zone D is sketchy but could be the teams are like we said not going for it on four thousand just kicking kind of field goals there good on fourth down early downs EPA 45th red zone D that's the outlier team talent ranking of course A&M's talented 10th in the country pretty good at sex per game not as good as if you listen to the announcers you think they're top three in the country interceptions per game pretty good 30 second yep so there's some high-risk high reward stuff you're going on I think Garrett Nussmeyer single-handedly elevated them do on that you've played so dumb man like it's weird he just had to be smart and and Ellis you had no problem winning that game look at that thing in the red down at the bottom I was gonna say first real quick good good special teams 19th but 124th and penalties for game when someone earlier in the thing said how what's the over under on personal fouls this is what you want to do A&M is not a disciplined team at all they're over aggressive they do dumb stuff after the whistle they're gonna be adrenalize like crazy 110,000 people there there's opportunity there if Texas handles their business to make A&M act super dumb and give us you know a field position worth of penalties that's the hope sometimes refs swallow their flags in a big rock-ass home environment yeah or you get the water bottles out baby that's right if you don't but yeah we'll see SEC refs have been really surprising man I thought I was like man big 12 refs suck and then you go to SEC and you're just like okay this is a little refs are just not very good like the OU Bama game that was wild if you watch the Auburn vs A&M game they give Auburn this OPI to essentially try to make them lose the game luckily they did but it was weird let's see what we got here speaking of field goals the SARC take the safe three this week instead of going for it I mean he's been pretty aggressively and I've liked it do we have a safe three that's true that's a good point right let's say three like 20 yards in yeah Auburn has been a little sketchy and he's playing A&M I don't know if there's any yeah any guaranteed threes here really kind of going on yeah we'll say this beyond the the field goal part you know I'm a guy that fourth and four on the opponent 49 yard line we're going baby same here yeah but knowing what you know about A&M's offense do we have enough confidence because here's the deal if you kick on fourth and manageable on their side of the field and the punt rolls into the end zone you're more on who has done nothing to maximize the expectancy of that play right you can pin them inside there five you've made a defensible decision particularly if you have a freshman quarterback who's feeling a little pressure and all that right I think that'll be the most interesting go for it situation not necessarily a red zone play where do you kick the field goal or go for it on fourth and two what the two but I haven't even I haven't seen us be able to do that consistently you know like pin people and well Kern doesn't have that ability yeah so it's like that's what's tricky is like it's so Quinn dependent man my aggression is purely based on it yeah like that's it's really what it is like eat if Quinn is on fire and he looks like oh we got Michigan Quinn we got Bama Quinn then play aggressive but if Quinn's like if A&M starting to melt him in the pocket stuff like that then I think you go protectionist and then you get more into the punting and and stuff like that I just think I think this game really just rides on the Texas offense we must declare our quick dependence yes and so yeah and it's hard to project right some ways you got Quinn you're like damn you know sometimes the first half Quinn you're like damn and the second half you're like what happened so you don't need it's hard to project man I really think though the team's gonna go as far as Quinn can take us in this game particularly right Paul we're going long do you have like 10 minutes we'll do the rivalry games and then get out of here sure all right let's do it all right rivalry games we're out of opponent games of interest because last game of the season so I just went through the rivalries that are coming up and we'll talk about those Georgia Tech Georgia 19 and a half favorites on Georgia the reason why we're talking about Georgia is because if we win this game that's who we're rematching in the SEC conference game how do you feel about that rematch do you want it for our to restore our pride or are you more of the camp that's like why would we want to see that again after what happened after I saw Alabama versus OU I I now want Alabama but that we want to play the rematch because that meant we beat A&M come on yeah yeah well we'll talk about how we feel about Georgia once the matchup sawed there A&M will show me how Quinn handles A&M will let me know if we're more prepared for what Georgia can do what is our bun I was gonna say if you are a burn is a team in Alabama fire your graphics guy yeah whenever you make these very quickly for the show but our Auburn versus Bama 11 and a half Auburn do you think they're multiple overtime emotional game was beneficial to them getting that win was very beneficial for their confidence I'm not sure like what it did to their energy level and injury level but one thing we know about Connor is we know Connor is that Auburn is incredibly predictable right and also Alabama not exactly you can't exactly set your watch to those guys so I think Auburn's gonna play with their hair on fire the question is if you look at this series historically all of the games where Auburn does their mischief is at Auburn this is at Alabama and Alabama historically blows their ass out and they got so humiliated by Oklahoma and they're gonna run Jalen Millrow like the first eight plays are gonna be like five called Jalen Millrow runs and other three OB bombs and you know I'm not touching that game if you told me Auburn's gonna upset Alabama I shrug if you told me Alabama wins 49 but three I'd shrug yeah there yeah you go into the multiverse trying to protect this game so you stay away from it don't put any money on it Michigan Ohio State Ohio State 21 points oh this keeps creeping up are they gonna make me bet the Michigan Wolverines just just based on the number oh god help me that offense yeah I mean here's the thing Ohio State doesn't really blow people out you know they they are not a big cover team with big spreads so they're defensively oriented and they've shown that they'll sort of you know run clock on offense now this might be a different deal for Ryan Day where he wants to humiliate Michigan because he knows how important this game is the chances of Michigan winning are infinitely small but could they keep it within 21 it's all on their offense right I mean the Michigan offense it's not so much they're scoring it's like can they not betray their defense for four quarters so that would be an interesting game there's such intense pressure for Ryan Day to just destroy them that Ohio State might even press a little bit Ohio State also very unlikable team did you watch them against Indiana I did they were just acting like jerks like how weird they're such an unlikable team and like well it's cuz Ryan day Ryan Day is super unlikable like like he started like doing those pressers where he's like we're disrespected it's like this guy's gross man he just ferments his beard before every big game yeah I know yeah Ryan Day has the nicest groomed beard and all of college football miss to be stayed an old miss man I never care about the eggball people talk about it like it it's a thing but like I guess I'm just uncultured new SEC fan but mostly I just picked this game so we could talk about what happened to old miss yeah I mean that was just lame Kip and 101 right this was the year old miss as they lost to a bunch of teams they should have beat right mm-hmm that's the thing that's gonna sink them they lost to Kentucky yep yeah we can Florida true freshman quarterback and well what does this say about Kiffin right cuz and they like I like Kiffin but that you buy you get the best roster money can buy and I'm not saying that in a mean way I'm saying they did a good job at NIL they clearly went all in there to to get you know the final year of Jackson Dart all that kind of stuff it was supposed to be in this culmination I would get it if like you lost to somebody in the top of the league you're like Georgia or something like that but you you know you lost to Florida and I like DJ lag wave but he's still in the 50% completion rate like he hits bombs but he's not like this overwhelming you know Joe Burrow style effect to Florida and then Kentucky we just played on that's not a very good team so it still shows that there's a lack of consistency in the culture there to get people to play well consistently with all the advantage that he finally needed an old miss right so if you know when he tweets I don't want him to ever be my coach yeah I like Kiffin has OC I take him in the second you know but that's the tricky part that this should have been the year for them and they blew it I kind of have a vibe that Mississippi State's gonna cover yeah what are they 26-1/2 yeah state's been pretty good I don't know about covering but they all they've come whenever I watched them play they played better than they should have I mean they're more competitive than they should be on paper so they're 0 and 7 in SEC play yeah you know they're like losing by 10 to Georgia they played A&M pretty well I mean they played us pretty well yeah they're a hard team to blow out because they try you know it's that's that's hard it's hard to blow out a team that keeps trying yeah like Florida right yeah but it's fun man all these rivalry games will be fun it's fun to be a part of the rivalry games in the SEC are you a when do you want the A&M game are you a Thanksgiving or Friday or Saturday guy I don't have strong feelings I would say any of them work for me I don't care I need to be at night I prefer Saturday because it if it's on Friday or God forbid Thursday it totally screws up my breakdown process I have to be together yeah so it's like I actually prefer I prefer night games on Saturdays all right well note that CDC we must feel a breakdown process yeah are you going to have a breakdown I am yeah when's it coming out Thursday morning all right yeah so it'll be out for Thanksgiving after you guys eat you'll be able to watch it so I recorded it the voice over yesterday and then I'm going to edit the offense today edit the defense tomorrow and then it'll be out for you guys takes community auto tune your voice so you sound even more master one and cool yeah yeah that's what I'm able to do got a good voice dude you don't have to add the like optimist prime transformer voice modulator you want to know what the trick is what is it you can deepen your voice it's about where you're at on the mic so back here it's not as loud but if you talk closer into the mic it picks up your base better if you talk closer there's more base oh wow I sounded like very white right there but back here I sound like I've got a list and I live in West Hollywood yep so there's a different time it's a it's mic technique so if you want to deepen your voice you just get right up on the mic I like mic mic technique I'm going to have to do all my from now on I'm going to do everything from this range yeah yeah all right yeah it looks stupid on a live but you guys can't see me when I'm recording audio for breakdown so you can do it all good all right we appreciate you guys hope you guys enjoyed the Tuesday breakdown as yeah yeah good job there was a ton of great insights you guys are you guys are on this game too y'all are watching film as well I can see it y'all have made a ton of great points so I'm excited tomorrow we will be back with Ian at 9.30 we'll do some schematic breakdowns and then Thursday we will not have a show because we will actually be enjoying Thanksgiving but I'll see you guys tomorrow 9.30 a.m. Paul thank you for coming on fans thanks for the lively chat y'all have a good one hook them [Music]
