who out there has had a warrant out against them. Huh? Well, today, the Wacom County District Court is doing something interesting. I have limited information on this. This story comes from our sister station, KGMI. So I really can't answer any questions beyond these three lines. I'm going to read to you. But it says here, another chance to clear out any old warrants will be offered Wednesday. That's tomorrow. The Wacom County District Court is holding a warrant quash day, quash QUASH, starting at 10 a.m. Anyone who attends will not be taken into custody or have their bail increased. Sure. How about those things that says come down, you get a free television. If you're like in this zip zip code or something, but then the people that show up get arrested to get the warrants out, there's got to be an asterisk in here somewhere. Depends on what your warrant is. Anyone who attends will not be taken into custody. Yeah, we had one for bank robbery. I think they're going to take you. We had 12 murderers show up, but because it was quash day. It was quash day. It was quash day. They were hiding out and just waiting for quash day. And when quash day arrived. Yeah, they let it slide. Hey, how you doing? Where where you've been? The statute of limitations is done on that. We changed it today. Yeah, you came in on a good today is quash day. So you asked, I guess, should you have a warrant against you? You know, that might be the first question you asked someday if you are apprehended because of it. You say, let me, before you lock me up, just check your calendar. Is it quash day? Just make sure today is not quash day. I did have a warrant at one point for a failure to appear. And I didn't really remember it or know what was going on, but the situation surrounding that day was funny because the Sonics were playing the Bulls in the NBA finals. It was game five or six, whatever it was here in Seattle. And I ended up, I was working in Seattle that morning, and I met a guy, went and bought two tickets. I mean, like $300 for a couple tickets to the game. And then I raced back home to the East side to get changed and get the things I need for the night. And I got pulled over on the way home and they took me to jail. They said, you have a warrant out for your resume failure to appear. And when they took all my personal effects, I had the hard tickets in my pocket. And the guy's like, well, this game's tonight. And I'm like, yeah, he goes, you're not going to make this. Who wants these tickets? And he starts goofing around with the guys in the thing. And I'm like, what do you mean? I mean, there's got to be someone he's like, no, not not at this point on a Friday. You're not going to get to see a judge before the end of the day. This will probably wait a hold over till Monday. And I'm like, I just threw that $300 right down the drain. And then I don't know what it was. I think maybe they were just fooling with me or something an hour or so later, they gave me the stuff and they said, you know, you have another court date. Oh, if you went, you got to see the game. Yes. I mean, I had those tickets in my pocket for like an hour. I was thinking, I'm not going to use them. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I there probably are some people out there who are, you know, innocent, maybe because of they moved or something. I don't know, you know, and the court was never able to to get a hold of them or they didn't and they didn't even know that they had there was some kind of warrant out there. And there's a situation like that. You know, you're, you're kind of curious. I suppose there's probably, you probably can go online, I would think to the court's website and probably can do that. And search to see if there are any one. Well, we get those nine. We do we'd be island 911. And every once in a while, we get a call like that where some guy calls 911 and says, Hey, are there any warrants out for me? You know, I suppose you could do that too. And then show up on would be island 911. So just show up in Django. Is it quash day, by the way? Tomorrow's your day quash day. It starts at 10 a.m. Okay. According to Chris online one, they may have taken a page from the folks down in Ocarber. They do this on the regular. Good morning, Chris. Good morning. I have a criminal style family over on the island. Every Thursday is quash day in at Ocarber district court. The first five lucky folks get to come back, get their work squashed at two in the afternoon. And you are a little more criminal than others. You might get met by the Ocarber police department. That's right across the way. Two guys will come in and take you out. But so there is no guarantee. So there's an asterisk there. But yeah, it depends. There's definitely an asterisk. But I've run people over to Ocarber to get their warrant squashed several times from up here. So it depends on what kind of warrant we're talking about. Yeah. Or if you like one of my partners, I've taken him in the morning and then he somehow missed it in the afternoon. So the next time I took him to get it quashed, two big burly cops pulled in, walked in the courtroom. He was the only one there and he ran. I don't know if he's quashed yet or not. The jails are so full and stuff. They probably, you know, they probably look at, you know, some of the little stuff and I forget about it. Yeah. This is the, according to this, a news story I found on my Belliam now that comes the second one that they've done this year. They did one in October as well in Wacom County. So you got to get a couple cracks at it. And I'm, and I just googled it. And there are some other counties around the country that do something similar to this, I guess. Thanks, Chris. Yeah, there's, you bet you gentlemen have a fine day today. All right. Thanks, man. Yeah. And speaking of warrants, John, at the Skagit, I'm down there doing the football parties and they have some entertainment coming to the Pacific showroom in the, in the new year. And warrant is coming in March. Really? Yes. And now who's in that? I don't know. I thought Janie Lane was dead, but you know, so I don't know who's doing the singing, but they got a couple nights with warrant trip back to the 80s. That calls for a slice of some cherry pie on the Brad and John show. KIS [CHEERING]
