I want to thank everybody tuning in today, National Sign-In Day. Always a success here at the ticket. But then also I want to thank Dr. Finn and AMI coming in and dropping some knowledge as well. So I got a few texts there, D.P. You got to catch up, Allen and Lincoln. He says, "I got to get this thing at low." He says, "That's horrible." And it was Allen and Lincoln say, "My computer's over." I'm going to say Allen and Lincoln. I wonder if any of these kids decide based on who commits in front of them or who leaves. Doubtful, that would drive a parent baddie. You would have to be in either or situation. Most kids want to play as soon as they can and probably don't consider who's already there or who's leaving. If you recruited me, you must need me. There's some truth to that. But I think these kids are more savvy. They ask the coaches how many of you are recruiting that said position now so you can kind of forecast it based on the comments and going. And the depth chart. You know how the depth chart, yeah. I mean, that's what you're asking them. But then also there are kids that are oblivious to reality of saying, "You know what? I'm the first guy I've ever played football. I'm the best thing ever. So you just come in and see where is that? I mean, you know, the best thing that you could do is be very informative or find out as much information or whatever school you go to and make the decision off of that. And obviously, if you're trying to come in and play within the first two years, you got to see, you know, what's ahead of you and where you can possibly fit in, not be given to you what you can earn. So, unknown texter. He's asked if this is the same thing that happened in Carolina. I don't know what time will tell about it. Are our backs tapping out? Are they being rotated out by the coaches? Wyoming Husker? I don't know. I'm paid close attention. I was just saying if you want to be the guy, don't come out. I would never try to come out. You've heard me in very joke. Like, "Hey, man, if I got you from 20 to 20, I'm not leaving now." No. Yeah, we were like, "Why'd it come this far?" Look, man, I ain't come this far to just come this far. Like, I need more touches to get this worked up. Yeah. Yeah. I don't get it. I don't get it. What do you tapping for? Yeah, I know. And then the last one, Jonna Cortland says, developing players over four years. It's pretty much done. That's the way the transfer reporter is. It was joking one time. I think we were on her DP as like, you know, when you go back to, you know, have five, 10, 15, 20 year reunions, whatever it is, you know, obviously ours were every 10 years of championship year. So, you know, I was very blessed to be on some three championship teams and some great teams in between is that, you know, obviously I got one place, you know, is here where these kids now. If you play five years in college, you could realistically, you know, have three or four places that you go. Now whether it's, you know, like I said before, circumstances, force, ask, or you just chose to get in there, it's like Cosmo ball is a lot different. As much as people kind of turn their nose up at Colorado and the way Deon did it, it actually just, for when everything went to the 105, now it's forcing everybody to do something that he was doing a couple years prior because there's going to be constant turnover. And then one thing I said about, I'll say about the portal. Talking to a coach, why they respect the coach, not here in Nebraska with a coach that I know. He's like, man, Jay. He's like, you know what? We've had kids. We've done everything and everything under the sun. Treat them right. They're taken care of. They just sometimes decide they want to go play somewhere else. And he's like, that's cool. In truth, had the transfer portal and NIL existed back when I went to college, I would have gone in the church. It just depends on the situation. And it had nothing to do with money. It wasn't a better baseball program. They wouldn't have played in a better stadium. They would have had fewer uniforms and all the other stuff. Because there was a toughness that was required for me to just make it work. Plus, you had to make it work because that's the way it was. And so if you have those circumstances, what I talk about is definitely different. You could go to a place, you could be a good player. You could be a good player at your present university. And a coach comes in and just wants to play somebody else. It has nothing. Say you do everything you need to. You put in the extra effort. You work hard. You make your plays. Sometimes they just want to put somebody else in there. I'm pretty sure, you know, at times, you know, it happened, you know, even back when we were playing, they want to play somebody else. Whether you're able, you know, that was part of the, you know, learn how to compete and survive and keep your head above water. Because it's definitely people always coming up to pipeline. Potentially, you know, going to take your spot. So we shall see the time will tell. Obviously there'll be more to talk about. But we appreciate you guys listening in today.
