G'day, friends, it's Blister Guy and for Thursday the 5th of December it's episode 1395, I've walked to work on mobile tasks done podcast, it's Bob, I really doubted myself going through that, I was like no, no, you know it's 1395, go with it, you know it's Thursday the 5th and you know what you call the episode, it's Bob, so easy peasy, seat done, right, great, fantastic. So we have an event coming up that's going to bring Bob the bartender to stand in traditional Hearthstone, I guess wild as well, and you might think you can't possibly do an entire episode about Bob, I thought that too, until I started reading the Bob card and I was like you know what, I think maybe I can, so what do we know about Bob, first of all Bob was like, he smiles too much, right, like he's really smiley and kind of disconcertingly so, and then there's like a famous scene where Bob's in the lift and Pete gets in and he goes, how's it going, Pete, and Pete goes, not great Bob, no wait no that's mad man, no Bob the bartender from Battlegrounds, actually we should not get sidetracked, let's thank a patron for being carried away, today we're thanking Madress lover, Madress lover also lives locally, although I have not seen him personally like I have super met, I mentioned last episode, but Madress lover and I do raid molten core together in Warcraft Rumble regularly, then we clear it, it's great, he's awesome, much love to Madress lover and all the other patrons who sport what we do here at Walk to Work in my Barstone podcast patreon.com/blisticeguy, if you can afford a sport, if you can't, that's right, to tell a friendly review, hang out, all of it helps, all in one breath, lovely, now Bob I've just, I've just dropped Mongoose at school, my goodness, so I'm still, I'm still a little bit rattled, a good, the three year old, not a real name, was chasing me around with a largest plastic scimitar this morning yelling, it's cutting time and like just wailing on me with a plastic scimitar, parenting, see you might think I'm stalling on talking about Bob, but I promise you by the time it's time to play a game, we won't have talked about Bob and Off, anyway, I'll also walk around from ball, there's three limited time minis coming, and apparently they'll come back in future events, but they're limited time for now, split to faction leaders, so those are pretty powerful, Malfurians just come out today, if you unlock it in the next couple of days, you should be able to power up its dungeon slots this week, but don't fret too much about that, because it being both scenario and alliance, it's scenario and week this week, I think alliance week is like two weeks, so even if you don't get done today you should get it then, but definitely get in there and get it if you can, you know, Bob, Bob the bartender, if you have not played battlegrounds, that's, I don't know, like why am I even saying that, who here has not played battlegrounds, I think everyone has, but let's pretend, battlegrounds is an auto-battler that conna-ku I think made in the, so blizzard of this thing every year, about an hour even actually, where they give the stuff a week just to do whatever they want, just come up with something new if you like, do anything, like it could be go through all the cards and come up with alternate flavour texts, or just like Celeste and doing the big puzzle things, which became almost a concrete part of the game, one time conna-ku made battlegrounds, his thing, he just made a prototype of battlegrounds and everyone's like, hang on, this is awesome, and apparently it was five years ago that that happened, and that makes sense, because I remember going to the, you know, the 2020 summit in Anaheim and we were already playing battlegrounds at that point, so it had been out for a while then, so it's five years old now, and to celebrate battlegrounds being five years old, in about five days there's going to be an event in-game, we can earn Bob the bartender in traditional Hearthstone, which is cool, the, one of the neat things is the art for Bob the builder, not Bob the builder, Bob the bartender in, in traditional Hearthstone, it's the, the Bob the bartender as we know it, and he's holding a big sword and you might be like, that's weird, why has Bob got a sword? Because when you've been working at Blizzard for five years, they give you a big sword, mate, that's awesome, anyway, so even if it looks a little out of place, that's literally what it is, and if you see the sword in his art, you can see that it's, uh, the swords that staff actually get given once they've been there for five years. So Bob the bartender is basically this narrator when you're doing the battlegrounds, uh, when you're in the tavern phase, it's like you're buying minions from Bob, and he says all these helpful things, I'm rooting for you, don't tell the others, but I think you can win, you got this, all the stuff, great, really, like, a little bit like, yeah, Bob, I'm sure you do think I'm going to win, I bet you tell all of the battlegrounds players there, and he probably does, but also like, I just dropped Monger's at school, she has choir on Thursday mornings, and the choir instructor is this lovely woman, and every time she sees me or Heidi, she's like, your daughter has the most beautiful voice, uh, yeah, I clearly think so, one time I had to, there's like a father's day mass or something, uh, so I had to go along to the church and they were doing like a mass, and it was to celebrate fathers, and I am the father, so that makes sense, uh, and, and part of it, Monger's was over in the choir, and in other parts she was sitting next to me and just singing, it was loud and clear, voice, and I was like, what, you never sing like this at home in front of, this is amazing, I was just shocked, stunned, and just in awe, amazing, anyway, look, she tells us, you have the most beautiful voice, and you're like, I bet you tell all of the parents that about the kids, just to try and keep them coming along to choir, because, you know, you don't have much of a choir for any one person's coming, uh, I bet you tell all of the kids that, but also, it's not wrong, like, if she's telling every parent that their kid has a beautiful voice, she may not be lying about that, that may be true, so when Bob says, I think you can do it to everyone in Battlegrounds, he's not lying, he's just being supportive and nice and making people feel good, so we love Bob. Since the introduction of Battlegrounds, there have been a lot of different bartenders you can use, different characters, many of them variations on Bob too, like Bob in a, in a hat, that kind of thing, right? But Bob is wonderful, and every now and again, if I'm playing Battlegrounds, and I don't have Bob the bartender as my bartender, I'm like, should I just be using Bob, because Bob's awesome. Anyway, Bob the bartender in traditional Hearthstone is a card we're going to get from the event, and it'll last probably until this time next year, or, well, the rotation it'll follow a year from now. It's a legendary six-minute four-five, clearly not great stats. For a four-five, you want to be paying four-minute, and then you want something for it, like, grifter from Paris and Paradise as a four-minute four-five, and you get something. Also, you're planning to get something, and it's not as good as you get the idea, right? So this is, we're overpaying for a four-five for six-minute, but what do we get? Battlecry, choose an action from the Battlegrounds. Now, you might be thinking, okay, you really are blabbering the point on one card, but once I started to read these abilities, I was like, this is just too cool. We are going to talk about it. The first one of note, what, no, they're all of note, but the first one I'm going to talk about, this was actually the last of the abilities I saw, but it's like, find a triple. So, you know, it's like, discover, but there will be four options that pop up. It has the art that you get on the card for when you get a triple in Battlegrounds. Basically, you buy a minion in Battlegrounds, you buy a second copy, if you buy a third copy, they suddenly combine together into a golden version, which is bigger, has more powerful abilities, and you get a triple spell, and that spell will let you discover a minion from a tier higher than yours, which is very cool, and that spell has a specific art, and this option from Bob the Bartender has that art, and I saw that, I was like, oh, cool, the ability is called find a triple, and it says draw a minion, get two copies of it, and I was like, oh, that's a very neat nod to what it does in Battlegrounds, I really like that, that's really cool. Now, how powerful is this? We're going to pay a six-minute or four-five to do it, right, but a six-minute or four-five air quotes draw three cards, which is really just draw one card and get two copies of it. It's quite strong. If your deck does not have very many minions in it, let's say it's a very spell-heavy deck that has ceaseless expanse, you won't always get ceaseless expanse, but you might just get three ceaseless expancers with this. Is that what you want? It might be, and I assume you want to be running a few other minions, maybe, but three copies of any given minion that you're not running very many copies of might be very powerful. That's kind of cool. Anyway, that's just the first spell. Let's have a look at the next spell, recruit a minion. Now, in Battlegrounds, you have the battle phase and ten phase, combat phase, combat phase, your team is fighting at someone else's, that is bounce off each other and abilities trigger and stuff, and whoever's got minions left at the end wins that round, and the other person takes damage equal to the amount of damage left in playing, kind of thing. Then you have the tavern phase, which is where you're buying minions to add to your team, to upgrade your team, to make your team more powerful and things. Sometimes, obviously, because you're going to have seven minions in play, you've got to sell all minions and stuff. When you're buying a minion in the tavern, it costs three gold. So recruit a minion as the option from Bob the bartender. The art for this is just looks like a board with a poster with Bob on it with the sword. That's kind of cool. This is put an enemy minion into your hand. Your opponent gets three coins. Now, when people first saw this ability, and I'm talking behind closed doors before it was public even in the creator program, people were concerned about this. They're like, "What? What?" I mean, this seems too powerful, and the immediate response from Blizzard staff was, "Is Shadowwood steel too powerful?" Now, Shadowwood steel is Priest. Is it Priest and Rogue? I think so. Maybe it's not Priest and Druid that Shadow reflection, but it's like a five mana spell in Priest and somebody else that is still an enemy minion, like to put an enemy minion in play into your hand. So you stolen it. It's in your hand now. Five mana. Gold. Five gold. Mana? Gold. Mana in regular Hearthstone. Gold in battle grants. Like, it's gone. We stole it. Nobody plays it, right? Nobody plays that and stand it. Bob the bartender giving you the option to do a power word steel for one more mana so you get a four or five is not necessarily going to break the bank. On top of that, you're giving your opponent three coins. Yes, this could be a bit of a painful experience if what you've just done is launch a giant starship, but we're already in a situation where launching a giant starship is precarious of what you're going to do is launch it and leave it, right? So you need to be launching it and then doing stuff. We already know that. Yogs are on just punishing us for launching a starship and leaving it there. So this is kind of like that, but also they don't steal the starship the way Yog does. It puts it in their hand because they recruited it, right? It goes into their hand like you're buying it from the battle grants. When you buy the thing in battle grants, it goes into your hand and then you play it because it has a battle cry. It's really cool. So this is stealing it, putting it in your hand and giving you three coins, but obviously like the ceiling for this is that your opponent has eight, nine cards in hand. You're only giving them as many coins as it is to fill the hand in and out of a drawer card next to them. Diabolical. Oh, it'll feel good to do that to people. There'll be greedy players who have powerful decks doing powerful things. You're going to steal a minion of theirs, put it in your hand and give some coins and then force them to over draw an important card. TM, not every time. Consult a doctor before you use it anyway. But people are like, oh, this seems too powerful. But when you compare it to power with steel and other stuff, it's okay. It's fine. It's not spectacular. I mean, we do need to say that when you're playing something about the botan, it's having four different abilities, gives it versatility. So it's this when you need it to be this. It's something else when you need to do something else. So that's kind of cool. But people were concerned by this ability. And now that it's public, obviously, people are concerned as well. And everyone's like, but is it really that bad? But I think people just don't want their stash of stolen. They don't want to play a zili X and have someone go, I'll have that. But honestly, any control deck where you're like, I stole your zili X, it's probably already killed something important. And you just get them three coins and they can probably make use of that, even if they end up overdrawing a blade storm or something, you know? Anyway, moving on, we've got more abilities. Freeze the shop. So in battlegrounds, right, you see the tavern, the shop where you shop phase. This is what we call shop phase, tavern phase, where you're buying stuff. Sometimes you're like, Oh, there's some really cool stuff there. And I can't afford to buy it all this time. There's a button you can use to freeze it, just locks it all there. And then next tavern phase, it's all still there. And you don't want to refresh it because there's a button you can use to refresh it to reroll what's in the tavern. So you can cycle through the final you want. If you do that too often, you'll lose not by a game mechanic, just because you spent too much gold refresh in the tavern, I should know I do it all the time, I lose. Anyway, you can freeze the tavern to save something you want for the next shop phase when you have some more gold available. Good move. The freeze the tavern ability looks like it's a concerned dwarf white here, big white beard. It seems to be in the snow and has a drink, which just seems to be frothy, but also maybe snow. They seem to be frozen in place. Freeze the shop says freeze all enemy minions. So what we have here is a five minus four five that can just freeze the enemy board. Everyone's like, I don't think so. That seems very powerful. Look, we had a shaman minion that did that. And it was pretty good, actually. It was it was actually too good. Actually, what it was was like it was a six minus three three, or was it a five minus three three? And it froze the enemy board and got plus one plus one for each minion that it froze. And that was too good. Frost. Wow, I kind of remember what it's called. Anyway, if I say the name, people will be like, oh PTSD. Anyway, so maybe forgetting the name is good, but anyway, that thing, this is like that. They nerfed it. So it was just a five five that froze the enemy board, then people didn't play it anymore. Still, again, the flexibility of having a four five that freezes the enemy board might be quite good. And you know, maybe maybe rogue gets to break dance and share this and just continually freeze your board forever. Yeah, again, I'm not terribly concerned, but still it won't feel great if somebody freezes your board while they have minions in play. And then you do nothing and then they attack you and they win. Still pretty powerful. The last ability, refresh the tavern. I mentioned this just before, right? Refreshing the tavern where you play one goal to reload what's in the tavern. And you just keep doing that looking for stuff. Okay. No, reroll it. No, reroll it. No, reroll it. And like, sometimes you're going to have one or two gold left over in the turn that you just couldn't spend. And they're like, well, cool, I get a reroll of the tavern to see what I'm after. They're sweet. I'll do that. But if you do it too often, as I say, you're not impacting your team. You're not building your team. You're not getting any value. You're looking for something specific and there's often enough minions and battlegrounds that finding something specific is just too difficult. Like, it's just, you're not going to find it. You're just going to flush six, seven gold down the drain and be way behind on board from all of your other opponents and you'll lose. Anyway, refresh the taverns. The last of Bob's abilities. Discover a three cost minion. Refresh three mana crystals. Neat. So discover, right? Because, as you say, when you're refreshing the tavern, you are looking for something in particular, probably, or at least something maybe in the type that you're looking to build on building merlocks. It's funny, I say merlocks because the picture has a merlock on it. And it doesn't look very happy, poor thing. Anyway, you're refreshing the tavern. You're looking for something in particular. And this way we're discovering to try and find something, a three cost minion, and then refresh three mana crystals. So you get to play it immediately if you want. And the refresh three mana crystals doesn't really align with any battlegrounds and mechanics. And honestly, refreshing the tavern discovering it's pretty tenuous, but it still works. Like, sometimes if you're behind on board and, you know, you're like, I can't really afford to be playing a six mana four five, then maybe what you're playing is a six mana four five that refreshes three mana crystals in whatever three drop you discovered. And maybe that's okay. A six mana four five and a three drop. So that's like a three mana three five, three mana four five and a three drop that you discovered. That's not bad. So overall, Bob is pretty flexible. And I don't think Bob is overpowered, but I do think people will look at the, the recruiter minion and go, Oh my gosh, that's just broken. It's just gonna ruin the game for everyone. I don't know why they're talking like that, but they did. We may have to take that up to them. Oh, I got a sneeze coming. Ah, it's summer now. It's not spring. I shouldn't have sneezes. Oh, hold on. Hold on. Here we go. Wow, cracking. We're almost at the park. See, I told you I could do a whole episode on Bob. I really like Bob as a card. It does remind me of Hearthstone Brew, the card we got at the start of this 10th anniversary year. This I think is just more of the same sort of stuff, but this one's kind of celebrate battlegrounds. Hearthstone Brew was a card that was not too good, but it was good enough. It was good enough to see some play. And now it doesn't see very much play because we're in a six set meta. So it's like, ah, it's a bit full on. Also, I suspect we won't get half anymore once we get to the next annual rotation, which is fine. It's fine. It was a cool card and it did a neat thing. And I think Bob, the button, there's a cool card and doesn't eat things, but it's not going to be so overpowered that people are going to be concerned by it. It is probably going to be more powerful in a four set meta once we go through rotation than it is right now. It's still okay. It's still neat. And we get a golden copy through the event. You get a, a regular copy is the first reward tier. And then at the end, there's a golden copy. That's cool. That's cool. I like this. I really like that they're paying homage to Battlegrounds. I really like the given Bob the sword, even though it doesn't quite look right in the picture. And he's very chuffed to have it. He's been here for five years. He's very pleased. And as we talked yesterday, you know, Battlegrounds has not exactly been the smoothest of things introduced to Hearthstone. It's been very popular. And half of the people who play Hearthstone are playing Battlegrounds. And that must be of some consternation for people running Hearthstone, the fact that it's so difficult to monetize this game. But still, it's going strong and like, keep supporting it. It's awesome. Love it. Do, do feel like I want to play some Battlegrounds. But also, there's lots of standards to play. Also, my parents arrive tomorrow. There's a lot to do. We'll get there when we get there. That's fine. Anyway, it's time for me to get in the game and play some Hearthstone. Now, I believe top of this thing is having played as Demon Hunter right now. And as has been true for quite a while, just not keen to play Demon Hunter. I'm fine with Demon Hunter. I've certainly enjoyed Demon Hunter at times. Remember earlier this year I was playing Spell Demon Hunter in Wild and getting Legion with it? That felt awesome. They really feel like it right now. That's fine. Next up was Shaman. Like, it can't possibly be Shaman. Surely, it's not Shaman already. I like Shaman right now. There are various ways I like to play Shaman in the last three months. It can't really be Shaman next, but apparently it is. So, we're going to play Shaman. So, let's close out of this app. Let's unmute the phone. Oh, I've got a notification. What is this notification? Takes a message. All right. I can't find the iPad. Gert is at home with Mum today while Mum is working. We need the iPad to destroy Gert. We can't find it. We're thinking Mongoose is hitting it. That's not great. Anyway, I've unmuted the phone. I'll turn it to volume. We should hear hearts greeting in just a moment. I believe I did turn the game volume up. This is not going to be one of those situations where I have to do it, even though that's kind of fun sometimes. Anyway, the deck I'm going to play today is Big Shaman. Big Shaman is going to be a good friend. I will. Oh, that's so nice of you to say. Big Shaman had a resurgence in the last couple of days because Jambray was like, hey, Big Shaman is still good. Oh, look. Call of the brawl. Oh, right. Yeah, sorry. I've just remembered. Apparently, heroic tavern brawl was this week, which is weird because you're like, what? Does that mean the mini sets coming in a couple of weeks? No, but the Christmas holidays are. So, maybe that's what's going on there. We're pretty sure that the mini set comes in January because that's what they said. But it's a heroic tavern brawl time now. Crikey. Anyway, this quest is the, just play a game and you'll get a pack so you don't have to enter the heroic tavern brawl if you don't want to, which I want. Also, I don't have enough gold on hand even into right now because I've been spinning it all on golden packs because I felt like it. Anyway, we're playing Big Shaman. Jambray reintroduced recently said, hey, here's a new version of Big Shaman. Now, I had a look at HS Guru and the most winningest new Big Shaman list these days is a Big Shaman list with no new cards. That is disappointing. But that's okay. I just have a look at this. I just realized I had two versions of this. It's the version I'm playing like the version that I was playing the other day. I don't know that it is. Galen took Jambray's list and removed a few things and added a few things. And no, this is not that. No. So, this is a version. Basically, I looked at the HS Guru lists. I kept going until I found one that looked kind of like it had new cards. And this is fine. The new cards that we have are triangulate, which doesn't sit as well in this deck as it may do asteroid shaman. But it's still good, right? Because it gives you a way to find a cliff tonight for turn 5 or 6 if you can. And, you know, finding a cliff dive and shuffling three more and it's actually pretty good if you want to have lots of cliff dives. It also has Farsier Nobundu, which is the 5-6-4 death rate. It'll open the galaxy's lens. It absorbs the power and expel your cast. Totally a fine thing to get off cliff dive because it trades. It's got a lot of attack and trades down and then you get the thing. But, like, the thing that I've done that you really want to do with this is get Farsier Nobundu and play and then copy cliff dive with the galaxy's lens because then you, like, two extra cliff dive. Oh, that's wonderful. But that doesn't happen very often. Usually, you find it another way. And it also has an Amelia safe pilot, which is pretty cool. It just has some new cards. It's not very many, but it's fine then it's doing fine and I've been playing it. It's great. So, we're going to play that today. Even though, you know, I can play Astrid Shaman and I enjoy that too. Don't really know what the standard meta is doing right now. People seem pretty hyped on Libram Paladin and Wild. I've been playing that. I have lost one of two games while playing Libram Paladin and Wild, which didn't feel fun. It's a deck that feels good when you're winning and not so good when you're not. But that's right. I've been playing standard then and wild. There we go. Big shot when let's queue it up. Big. Nope, that's not it. It's over here. There we go. I almost queued the wrong version. You know how you have like two pages of decks or even three pages of decks? The top left one is the one you've most recently added to the flag. That's the one I added. This is cliff. But I was on the next tab and the top left one said big and I was like, "This is it?" Right. It's like, "No, that's probably the Galen version," which has like fast sights, which I think is pretty cool. All right. So, a runner is a demon hunter. I'm guessing they're pretty aggressive. We need to have nice early things. We have an only hand with Thrall's gift. That couldn't be a lightning storm, which can be very important. So, we probably keep that. We have an Amelia safe pilot. That's six mana or five mana with the coin. Are we lightning storm on four? Amelia safe pilot on five. Is that good enough? It might be walking fountain we can throw away and pop up books. It's actually pretty reasonable. That's going to buy some time. Do I keep Thrall's gift, an Amelia safe pilot and pop up book? It's not the game plan the deck has, which is wanting to get, you know, cliff dives going. But maybe that's just too slow. I think we can put back the Amelia safe pilot, but keeping the pop up book and the Thrall's gift seems reasonable. Just to make sure we don't get overrun too much early. Looks like the demon hunter kept card number three. We got back a skirting death and a scheduled skydiving. Totally a reasonable way to fight board against an enemy. Whoops, on turn one, which means they forgot to hear about me. Fair enough. They passed in with that hair bearing. I will take it. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe it wasn't, but we're fine with that. Now we can still get entirely destroyed here. They're playing quick picking attacking me and drawing a card. Cool. I mean, if they had played scheduled skydiving this turn into hose and rough house, we're in a lot of trouble. We can deal with it, but it's not great. Like it's definitely coin Thrall's gift into lightning storm and hope that we've already played our own scheduled skydiving to take out that rough house. Either way, we're playing our own scheduled skydiving this turn. They've played a quick picking attack this, so that's not happening. The cards we've drawn in the last two turns to turn the tides. That's the three mana, so I'm going to three through with rush and give you a hero plus five attack to the intern overload one. Incredible card in this kind of matchup. It really helps you buy time. Chaos strike. Hero power. So this is a chaos strike between the main deck. That's the plus two attack for two armour, two mana, sorry, and draw a card. So a lot of spells, demon hunter, and going face. Are they going to regret having not gone face that turn one? I don't know, but this attacked us for six, putting us down to 25 anyway. We've got three little pilots coming out. We've got seven cards in hand one, which is a coin, one of which is a muckpools we just drew. We could just play turn the tides right now. I mean, they're playing chaos strike. Do they have board players? Are they going to try and board clear us? Just playing turn the tides just exposes to a board player. Like, I don't even know what they're doing, but we can't do anything else that puts anything in the play. So we may as well just turn the tides now on three mana. It gives us a three three, it gives us a plus three attack, and we tackle that minion. So we're in 25. They're on 24. We are overloaded for one. We have a three three and three one ones in play. So, you know, the impetus really is for them to do something about this rather than we're basically proposing threats to see what they do about it. But given they play cast strike and quick pick, I have no idea what they're doing. Maybe, I think I know what they are. They're fatigue, demon hunter. They're going to play a lot of spells. Hot coals. So they play burning heart on my three three, dealing two damage to it to give them plus three attack. Hot coals to clear out all my minions and then attack the three. So at some point, they're going to play a runner after playing Glaewatar, and they're going to try and take a lot of fatigue damage and fatigue damage to this house. They're in 24. We're on 20. I'm pretty sure we can make this work. So we've got three amount of this turn because we're overloaded for them. We can just play another turn the tides. Next turn, we have five mana. But if we play turn the tides one near four, we have a coin. We don't have anything great to play next turn. It'd be nice if we could put a bunch of minions, but I think maybe we just, uh, what's this one called? You can pop up book face to give us a couple of zero ones with taunt and then hair power. We just got a bunch of minions in play because we have a thrals gift. We could bloodlust with that. So let's just hair up out first. What if we get spelled there? I'm just telling them, right? It's healing talent. It's fine. Pop up book face. Let's just swarm wide on the board. See what they do about that. The two taunts at the very least will probably soak up some attacks unless they have more board clearing type stuff. They've already used one hot coals. All right, five mana for them. What are they going to do this turn? What they want to do is draw a whole bunch of cards, get through to their deck, play Glaewatar, that kind of stuff. And so having these taunts will help suck that up. And they want to get to the point where they've got no cards left in the deck. And Glaewatar has, you know, they played a bunch of combo cards so that when it death rattles, it's going to draw them a bunch of cards equal to the number of cards that played overload. Uh, sorry, outcast with it in play. And because they have a runner in play, that'll redirect all the fatigue damage to me. Metamorphosis. Uh, has it just metamorphosis? You're metamorphosis, making the hair power five damage and just five damage to my face. I'm in 15. They're on 22. Okay, so next time we have six mana. If we still have the coin, we can go coin bloodlust, uh, for a fair amount of damage. Maybe it depends on whether they have a ball player. I've just drawn another pop-up book. So I think if we go pop-up books, turn the tides to put a bunch of stuff in play, we can still coin bloodlust next turn. And maybe that's lethal. So turn the tides. We've got one extra amount, we may as well play muck pulls as well and evolve something. Evolving the three, three of us as well. All right, so turn the tides. Muck pulls between our two little one taunts there. Let's evolve the three, three, see what we get. Not our number one plan. We've got a four, four park panther. Nice. Now we just pop-up book their face again, push them to 20. We attack for three with our face, turning to 19. I don't know, we'd pop-up books so it puts them to 17. So they can do five damage to my face with a metamorphosis on my 15. They've got six mana. Uh, we have a four, four in play called park panther. If we attack with it, we get plus three attacks then we've got four zero one taunts and a healing totem. Next time we overload for one, we have six mana, but we have the coin, so we can get a coin bloodlust. If we have enough minions to play, it's probably lethal. They've used a hot coals already. So hopefully they don't have the second one. They've got 18 cards from the deck. You're done on this side. There's a battle fiend. Okay, maybe it's not another battle fiend. I'm confused. If I have five minions in play and I bloodlust them, that's 15 damage and they're on 17. I'm assuming they're gonna metamorphosis my park panther. There's going down swinging. All right, I know I said I had some minions in play. I know I have no minions in play. Well, actually I had the park panther because they only had two attack. So what's happening here? I know the park panther's about to go as well. Those battle fiends they play. There's a one amount of one freeze that get plus one attack on every attack and so going down swinging is giving those things a lot of attack because going down swinging is attacking each of my six minions and those things are getting buffed and then of course they get to attack for the turn. Which means they attack into the park panther. So those battle fiends are eight freeze and they still have metamorphosis in play and I'm still on 15. But at least we don't have lethal on them. Hey, we're drawing a cliff dive. I think the scene's great. We've got five mana because our load of one. We have a coin so we're gonna cliff a cliff dive. When you cliff dive, you want there to be minions in play on the other side so you can do something. Not ideal so now merely a safe pilot and then a bundle. Now merely we take them both out and neither no bundle goes back into deck or we get a spell thing there the location that lets us copy spells. Now if we'd been able to wait until obviously we could then evolve one of these minions into something better with the muckpools but it's still closed. The spells we haven't played our throws gift sorry in hand a throws gift from skirting deaths they're not great to get in the bundle. But I don't think we want to draw no bundle so we'll track the both our minions. Their minions are gone. They've got five cards in hand, they've got one charge of a metamorphosis left and I'm on 15. I'm really not sure what they're doing but they threaten a lot of damage. There's an acupuncture that's damage. We're on 11. They're hero powering us down to six. They're pointing something in hand at us. It's a pocket sand puts us to three. They've got three mana left and hot coals. Now of course they acupuncture for the hot coals they go well. Fascinating. They well and truly got us. We would have been in pretty good shape if that turn we had instead of getting the no bundle and the namelia safe pilot we'd gotten a walking mountain which is quite possible. That's the 416 mega wind fury life steel rush minion because then that could attack into each of those things and heal us for eight which buys us a lot of space because as you saw there metamorphosis, acupuncture, hot coals and what was the other thing they did? That nine, 12. They're a little bit more damage. I don't remember what it was. I'm sure when I listen back because I've said it like 30 seconds ago but they had lethal from hand with all that stuff. But if I'd gotten a walking fountain or even what's that thing called? Why can't I met Gorgonith? Gorgonith the thunder of the titan. Either of those things out with the cliff dive. Gorgonith would deal three damage to all enemies and heal for six so I would have six extra health as well. So getting either walking mountain or Gorgonith would have saved us there from the amount of damage they had. Also we had Gorgon hand so the odds that we were going to get some of those were reasonably high so I guess it's just a bit unlucky. It's just fair but what was an odd deck? Odd amount of damage. What did they have? I try to remember what they had they. Heropower, acupuncture, finished with hot coals. The acupuncture did damage to them since why the hot coals was lethal. They had three damage from hand but I'm forgetting. I was the spell that I was like, "Is this even a demon I just thought?" I don't remember. Anyway, gosh I'm all out of breath and it's hot. I said it and I can't remember what it's called. I'm sure if I go through my collection I'll say it and go, "Oh that's what it is." But my brain's blanking. It's fine. Okay. Time for me to sign off. I'm not really, I mean yes it is sort of but I still haven't figured out my sign off. Oh I got to get there. I mean shout out to Tito. Tito Santana. I'm doubly actually because I keep forgetting to do this because I know that he doesn't like it when I get out of breath because it makes him feel out of breath. She's fair enough but like this dude's been in the armed forces. He should be fit. I don't know anyway. Tito Santana, dog of a butt, celebrating 100 episodes of the bread and butter podcast public, bread and butter podcast. So congratulations to them. It's a huge milestone. Very well done. They have a great interview with Leo Robles Gonzalez and another guy whose name I've forgotten who's like a VFX guy. Really cool interview worth checking out. And again congratulations in both of them getting to 100 episodes. It's really a huge and it's wonderful but also shout out to Tito because I'm out of breath. It's really muggy and humid out here. Not as hot today as it was the last couple of days but you know it is the hardcore walk from Mongoose's school to the train station in this temperature. It's intense. It's fine. I still can't get over that demon under deck. Just a bunch of burn. The battle fiends are what got me. Like battle fiends are not usually in this deck and chaos strike. It's like usually it's a fatigue heavy deck has a lot of spells that can board clear things and draw cards but that didn't seem to be that. Have I just spotted a new meta breaker in the wild or did I just get unlucky against something that's just kind of weird? Who knows? It doesn't matter. It's all early in the month. Great start up, more players for all that stuff. It's fine. Okay how are we going to sign off? So we don't do Twitter anymore and like I keep seeing more and more people going wow being on blue sky without media things we get so much traction and of course I haven't actually tweeted the podcast on there very much and I will soon I think again I just want to pace myself on that. Right now I'm doing the advent calendar thing. I've done three posts of that so far. It's been nice. What do we have? We had a theoretical first then orbiting satellite and then distress signal for the next one. Not all of the cards are going to be exciting and I don't expect huge engagement on each one but you know I'm going to post one each day until Christmas which would be nice. Fun. So follow me on blue sky, aplistic guy. I don't know that that's what I... blue sky, blistic guy. That's a mouthful. I was going to say I didn't think that through 28 years ago when I chose the blistic guy username was it 28? Maybe it's close actually close to that long maybe 27 years ago. It doesn't matter. Clearly they didn't think this through. And of course follow me on YouTube Aplistic Guy and Twitch. Yes that's the other place. Yeah see I'm really off with my rhythm on this. Twitch. YouTube. And blue sky. Aplistic guy. That's where you can follow me. And of course come hang out and discord discord.me/blistaguy. It's just a great community of people who enjoyed this podcast. Look honestly there's some probably some people that don't even listen anymore but they still hang out and it's great and we talk about all manner of different things whether it's Hearthstone, Warcraft, Rumble, off topic stuff as well. Anything. We talk about it. There are people in there who don't even play Hearthstone anymore. I know but they hang out and they're nice people so it's a good place to hang out. And of course the best place to catch up with me if you have any questions or any comments or any feedback or anything like that. It's the best place to find me and have a nice candid chat. Like any other platform is kind of hard. Message me in game for example. Not as easy as it sounds. Oh you could probably add me in game. I used to get this. I used to do this at the end of every episode but then like I ran out of friendspaces. But like a year ago or two years ago something they increased their friendspace limit from 200 to 400. And so I'm nowhere near the cap now. So list to go out 1761 on the NA server if you want to add me. That's totally fine. But if you message me in game it's really hard for me to answer because either in the middle of a game or I'm playing a mobile and it's hard to miss it on mobile. So discord.me/psusguy if you want to chat. That's the best place to hang out. Anyway look it's always a pleasure to have you join me for my walk to work. Good luck everyone and everything you do. Pure life's look bloody legends. I love you all. Now that's a bit weird because I did the sign off thing. Like I was about to go on the train but there's no train coming but it's just it felt like it was time to do the sign. The actual sign off there. Weird. I don't know why there's not a train coming. I guess there was a train when I just got here. Oh you know maybe I don't know. I was gonna say you know how but like train lines around the world probably different. You know how like train lines have traffic lights on them? I've just noticed the train line going the other direction had a light to turn green. I shoot what was on red before. I wonder if there was something holding up the train line but that's going the other way. If I turn a little this way. Yeah the light going our way is green as well. I don't know. I don't know what's happening there. Weird. Anyway look there's another train coming soon and I just don't see it yet. I'm all out of breath. I gotta figure out what I'm doing right. So this was the third episode I'm recording this week. I'm going to record a fourth episode tomorrow but I'll post that towards the end of the weekend. This is to make up for the fact that my parents are arriving tomorrow night and spending. Oh yeah maybe I can talk about this spending the next week and a bit with us. This one was Steven Sensei. Remember I said the other day that I think Steven says something discord but it was actually Ron Foster on Blue Sky. This one was Steven Sensei. He goes are we going to have a cameo from the blister parents on the podcast? And the answer was a resounding no. And I realized that sounded really harsh. So I explained why. So to have a cameo on the podcast right? Like either you have to find me at the telly of the podcast where Superman has or you're coming for a walk for the whole podcast which Mongoose has done on times and you know that's not necessarily as interesting for her but she doesn't enjoy trying to wind me up. But if my parents are going to be on the podcast it means they're going to come for a 30 minute walk with me while I'm talking about Hearthstone. I mean I guess the first 15 minutes I could be talking to them but they're going to be a bit bemused and confused about what's going on. They know I make content and stuff but then if I'm playing a game on Hearthstone they're going to be completely checked out. The more importantly what that is is that's 30 minutes of quality time with my parents that I'm not making quality time. I'm making it poor quality time as far as they're concerned. It's quality time for me because A) I'm with my parents and B) I like Hearthstone. He's trying to get on this but it's not for them. So I kind of think I don't want to put them on the podcast not because I don't want you to hear them because I think my parents are great but because any time I spend with them especially given we live in different countries it should be quality time I spend with them and with my kids and stuff. I don't know that for them that would be being on the podcast so you missed out I'm sorry but I think it's for them and I think that's what's important. I'm pretty sure you're all great. Anyway I've only got the strength and I've already done some. Oh my god look at it. Still need to get a work so it is what it is. Oh my god this station is Milton's point. Please climb the gap when getting on or off the train. [Music]
