Because of the joy Awaiting him He was focused on the result That his suffering would bring You've got to learn To focus on the result Why are you going through What you are going through Especially if you are Child of God You and myself We know that We've been mandar for a night But joy comes in the morning We know there is a other side To this test That's why David said Even when I walk Even though I walk through The valley in the shadow of death I will fear no evil Because God is with me If you are going through something You know you are going to Come out to the other side You've got to learn To focus on Jesus Focus on the result Focus on what's going to come Out of what you are going through The Bible clearly says Because of the joy Awaiting him He was able to endure The cross Disregarding its shame Now because he was able To keep his focus Now he is seated In the place of honor Besides God's throne He knew why he came To die He came to die So that Satan could be defeated So that death hell In the grave could be defeated So that you and me Who were on our way To a Christ this hell Would be able to receive Salvation Through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ On Calvary cross That is shouting News right there And look at what the Apostle Paul says in verse 3 and 4 Think of all the Hostility he endured From sinful people Then you won't become Wherever and give up After all you have not Yet given your lives In your struggle Against sin Come on You are not a place where Someone is trying to nail you Not maybe in some other Places of this world I'm talking about us here in the West And even persecution Is that an increase on us But you know some places In the world people are still Dying for the name of Jesus Now watch this Let's go into the book of Matthew Chapter 26 verse 67 and 16 As I talk about Ultimate humiliation Then did they spit In his face And buffeted him On others Smold him they slapped him With the palms of their Hands intense They slapped him With the palms of their hands Saying Prophecy unto us Dark Christ Who is he that smoothly Who slapped me? Tell us you missed a Prophet And he endured Why? Because he was looking at the end Result Because of the joy that was set Before him He endured That's what you got to do To keep your focus You got to look at the end Result What's going to come out of you Seeking God through fasting And prayer What is going to be the end Result You've got to look at the end Result That's called delayed Gratification Lord have mercy Listen to this Matthew 27 verse 29-31 And when they had planted A crown of thorns They put it upon his head And a reed in his right hand And they bowed the knee before him And mocked him Saying "Hell! King of the Jews!" They spit Upon him And took the reed And smoothed him on the head And after that They had mocked him They took the robe from off of him And put his own clothes on him And led him away to crucify him Listen to this Mark 1465 And some began to spit on him And to cover his face And to buffet him And to say unto him Prophecy And the servants did Strike him with the palms of their hands Who then listened Listen to what Peter says In 1 Peter 2, 23 Who when he was reviled Reviled not again When he suffered He threatened not But committed himself to him The judge it righteously How was Jesus able to go through all of this?
