Deets and Watson's been making meats and cheeses the right way since forever. What's that mean? It means never cutting corners, ever. It means cooking, not processing. It means our Virginia brand ham that's cooked to perfection, then twice baked to layer the flavors. It takes more time, but you can taste the difference. We come to work every day to do it the right way, even if it's the hard way. Because if it's not right for us, it's not right for you. Deets and Watson, it's a family thing since 1939. Whether he looks the same way he did in years past or not, like you're just going up against greatness regardless of the mindset that he has and to be able to still play at his age is really remarkable. Can you imagine yourself at age 41 still in the NFL? I don't know. I don't know. That's a long way to go for me. So I take it one year at a time, 26 feels good right now. Hey too, I'll tell you something that happens fast baby. I remember 26 well. Yeah. I remember it well. I remember 6 well. It happens fast. One day becomes another, one week becomes another, one month becomes another and then you're pushing 60 like I am. So and it's a journey. We all have the privilege to walk. It's better than the alternative, but to I remember being 26 thinking, yeah, that's so it's like another lifetime. And then you wake up one day and the lifetime's hope. So wait a minute. On that happy note, here's Michael Hawley, like, how are we starting with Dr. Doom? You can't start. Bring it up. Come on. Give me doctor. Hey, we're supposed to work into that that's about great. Yeah. I remember. I get the answer because I remember 6, I remember 26 and then lights over and now I'm going to die, yeah, I'll tell you, listening to you and Rodney, he forgot the greatest, well, not probably not the greatest, he had a hell of a career, but a great snow moment for him where he had on and I was involved. This was a Harrison to Holly exchange, unlike today or maybe similar today, but he had one of those ski masks on. It was a 2005 playoff game. It was a Brady Manning playoff game, AFC divisional game at Gillette Stadium. So Mike, I had just left the Boston Globe and it was before I started sports talk radio. It was that beautiful spot where I could just be a fan and go to the game and not worry about, hey, what questions I'm going to ask in the locker room, all this stuff, I'm just kind of hanging out. Somebody invited me to the game that was so cold and I said, okay, I guess I'll go to this game, even though this is a rare opportunity, I can just sit at home and enjoy it in my living room. Anyway, the Patriots beat the Colts late in the game, Harrison gets an interception of Peyton Manning. He's running with the ball. He runs to the sideline and he's looking around to give the ball to somebody in his stands and he looks at me and he goes, what the hell are you doing here? And he gave me the football. That's awesome. He gave me the ball and the funny thing is there was a picture of it in the Boston Globe and the assistant sports editor called me up and said, hey, people are saying, this guy is you. That's not you. That guy's nose is weird. I'm like, dude, thanks for telling me my nose is weird. That's me. What a faux pas. Oh my God, I thought I heard them all. That one's awesome. That is good. Wait, is it? Where's that ball? Like it, right? Oh, here's a story, biggest regret, damn it. I wish I hadn't done this. I was too nice in this situation. So I have the ball and I'm talking to Jonathan Craft, the president of the Patriots and he's like, you know, one day we're going to start a Hall of Fame, a page. This is before they started the Patriots Hall of Fame. We'll start Hall of Fame. Do you mind if I, you know, take that ball? I'm like, yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah, and I gave him the ball. I said, wow, do I have any, shouldn't I have an agent? What's wrong with you? Wow. Wow. Yeah. Did you get a return? Did you get anything? Anything? Koopons? Anything? Koopons? Shoes? Scoops? Nothing. Anything. No, no deal. That's an awesome story. I was at another game where Rodney was freezing his kahuna's off. It was the 2004 AFC Championship, single digits in Pittsburgh. I wasn't nearly close enough to get the ball from him. I was in the nosebleed upper deck. I mean, PFT existed, but we were still full blown renegade fade. They wouldn't phase. They wouldn't have credentialed me to, you know, to cover all walk through practice in May, frankly, at that point. It was, it was miserably cold that night, miserably. And you see Rodney out there shivering in the snow. And maybe if there's a difference between standing around and playing, because he had a hell of a night that night against Ben Rothersberger in his rookie year as the Patriots got back to what was it, their third Super Bowl in four years. Well, Mike, that was the, and that was the next game because it was a 04 championship, but it was in over what, January of 05, right? Yeah. In Pittsburgh. And so the game before he hasn't entered, think about that. He has an interception against the Colts in a divisional round. And then he takes it back 87 yards in the AFC Championship game. And I know we're not, you know, Rodney Harrison is gone, but I just got to say, as someone who watched him up close and sawed in person and saw the impact he had on the Patriots, there's no question that man should be in a Hall of Fame. It is comical that he's not. He had such an influence on not just the team on the field, but the Patriots culture. They were, they were, you know, they were a cerebral bunch in a lot of ways. And he came in and was like, no, I was almost going to have my first sorry, London moment. He came in and said, uh, after that, we're going to do something different about it. Who did he blow up like first practice walkthrough? Did he blow up? Troy Brown. Yeah. Troy was not happy about it. I don't think Troy is still not happy about it. When, when you hear, uh, when you hear Bill Belichick talk about his favorite players of all time, Rodney Harris, it's like Lawrence Taylor and Rodney Harrison are almost joined at the hip in Bill Belichick's mind. Tony Dungee was on here within the past couple of weeks. And he said, when we played the Patriots, when he was with the Colts, they game plan for Rodney Harrison a lot more than they game plan for tie law and Richard Seymour and they're both in the hall of fame. Christopher Gasper had an article over the weekend in the Boston Globe about this effort to keep Robert Kraft out because, you know, we have to get Ralph Hay and Ralph Hayes time has come after 110 years. It's time to get in Ralph Hay who helped found the league and owned the Canton Bulldogs for four years and never got in before he and he won't get in this year. He's not going to get the 80% of the vote, but he advanced out of contributor committee instead of Robert Kraft that there is an element of anti-patriot sentiment within the voters and the committees that determine the entrance into Canton. And I think that that's one of the reasons why I'll never ever not that they would ever ask me. So it's easier for me to be to be defined. I will never ever ever be involved in the voting process for the pro football hall of fame. And this is an example. And I don't want to call it corruption because I don't think anybody's, you know, paying people. I just think we get this stupid pettiness and these self-righteous assholes, sorry London, who think that, you know, no amount of power is abused like hardly any power at all. And you get these people. It's their only relevance. Like he got people who they're not even getting a paycheck to cover football anymore and they're still involved in this hall of fame process and they make it something bigger than it is. And it's their way to go out and settle scores and it's ridiculous craft isn't it? And it's becoming ridiculous Rodney isn't it? Yeah, I agree with you. Just the biases are just so pronounced and so obvious. I mean, if you don't like Robert Kraft asking or eager to be in a hall of fame, okay, that's a personal thing. You know, like this guy wants it too much. He's a little thirsty and that's fair. He is a guy who is a pleaser. He likes to be like, he will straddle the fence when given the opportunity. He needs that. Okay. But that's separate from what are the credentials and you're right. It sounds like a lot of these voters have a hard time on this and this particular subcommittee. They have a hard time separating their personal likes and dislikes from the credentials of the candidate they're evaluating. I mean, Ralph Hay is a guy, yeah, he was a co-founder of the league, but he didn't believe in paying players. That was interesting. So yeah, very important to the contributions of pro football, this multi-billion dollar industry. Let's bring in somebody who didn't think this should have happened or all the billions should have gone to the owners and the players shouldn't get anything. Just kind of just cycle those guys out of there without compensating them. So it's really getting absurd at this point. And we don't know who the people are who are on the committee. There's no transparency. They're not accountable. They can just go hide in the corner and do whatever they want to do. And no one ever says boo about it. And of course, if you say boo about it, then you're a jerk and that's fine. I'll gladly be the jerk in the case like this and don't hate Hall of Fame. Don't ever ask me. You never will anyway. So again, it's easy, don't ever ask me to be involved in any way directly or indirectly with anything you do because the whole thing to me has been undermined by these years of petty little, I remember arguing with Gary Myers about Terrell Owens years ago. And Gary Myers had this over the top ridiculous position on why Terrell Owens got passed over. And it's nonsense. And it's because there are people who didn't like him because he wasn't nice to them. It's all right, by the way, we do have photographic evidence to confirm there it is Michael Holly. There's Michael Holly. Thanks Kelsey coming up with it. That's a great idea. You said it was in the paper. I'm thinking like old news print it that's a great picture that's got to be framed somewhere. Even if you don't have the ball, I hope that's framed in your house. I'd have it over my fireplace. It was cold, look, I had so many, I probably had on three or four pairs of pants. Look at that hat, Mike, how you feel about that hat? It's awesome. You know what else though? You know what else says, somebody else in that picture wanted that ball a lot more than you did. And she cuts. Oh, wait a minute. I got the ball and even before, so it was late in the game, the game in the ball, we're laughing at that moment. I wish it was another angle where you could see Harrison, he is laughing and he's saying, what are you doing? Why are you here? Why are you sitting here instead? But it knows last. It was hard to get that ball out of that stadium, so those pretty good seats. So I had to get from those seats up and out through the parking lot without losing the ball. You want to talk about ball security and not fumbling, that was probably my best work trying to get through lots of hands who were trying to steal that ball off me. Yeah, you got a lot of peanut Tillman's ready to try to punch that thing out. That is a great, that's a great picture and it's a great moment. That's great. I had no idea that that happened and that is great and we have blown through the first segment. Sorry, we haven't talked about the games this weekend, oh, well, oops, let's talk a little bit about Tua Tonga by Loa taking on the Miami Dolphins. It's the second time he'll face Aaron Rodgers the last time was Christmas Day two years ago when Tua got a concussion that nobody knew he got a concussion until the next day when Tua showed up, they're like, something's wrong with Tua. It was just a weird, weird moment. He hit his head falling down and no one even spotted it in real time and again, it was the next day they saw it, he'll face Aaron Rodgers this weekend. The Jets are coming to Miami. Here's Tua on whether he's surprised that the Dolphins are five and seven through 12 games. I don't think that shows the character of who we are as a team doesn't show the work that we've put in this offseason together. But nobody else will say it but me and I feel like this has a lot to do with myself, obviously putting myself in harm's way in the second game, going down, basically even my guys out to dry, that's what I would say. Anyone can have an opinion about it's football, it's this, it's that, I do take heart to that as well and still don't want to do that to my guys again. But you know what, that's good because if you're not going to play the game in a safer fashion for your own well-being, long term and short term because he had this, remember when he came back from the concussion, Michael, there was this machismo and bravado and, but now that you've seen the connection, wait a minute, I'm not available to help my team win. It's a selfless act at that point. It's an active service to your franchise. It's not, it's not a mark of cowardice or a lack of courage. This is, I'm doing what I have to do to be available and that's all we've ever said. That's all I've ever said. Yeah, you want to protect yourself, but at a basic level, you're not available to play if you get yourself blown up when, when you don't need to be dropping your head into someone's chest, trying to gain extra yardage that isn't going to be a touchdown or a first down. So good that he's finally, finally realized the link between playing smart and being available to play at all. You know, this, this comment from Tua, I got to be honest with you, Mike. This comment has made me, it makes me feel like I'm back in school and trying to diagram sentences or, or trying to just analyze just a particular sentence or a passage of something. Because when I read it, I initially read the transcript of him saying that. Then I looked at the video and I came to my conclusion is I'd like a follow up question because it sounds like he's saying you could say it's that one interpretation is I put myself in harm's way on the football field and my team had to pay for it or another way of looking at it. And this is where I just got stuck and maybe I'm just overthinking it. I think he's saying getting hurt. I should, I got hurt and I let my team down, not that I'm going to play differently, but I got hurt and I let my team, because he didn't, he came back and he put himself in harm's way again. But after he came back, he lowered his head and tried to make a tackle and it was that on an interception. True. One of these plays. True. Yep. All right. He is it. And, and the reason I just, I really was just overthinking this thing, going down the rabbit hole of, okay, what did Tua mean by this? When he said, nobody else will say this, I'll say it. It's almost like I'm blaming myself for being hurt because my team struggled with Snoop Hunt Lee and Skylar Thompson and Tim Boyle and all these guys. I give us the best chance of when at the quarterback position and we wouldn't be in this position if I hadn't gotten hurt. That's why I would have asked, like, are you saying you, you won't play like that anymore or are you really, are you down on yourself because you just got hurt? Like, what do you mean? I just want a little bit more clarification from them. He says, I don't want to do that to my guys again, but I agree with you. It's possible to interpret what he said as not recognizing the connection between why he missed those games and what he needs to do to be available in the future. But I view it as, and maybe he'll get asked to follow up after the game this week, who knows, but I view it as him recognizing reluctantly that he does need to tailor his game to prevent that. But don't go diving in headfirst to try to make a tackle after interception. Yeah, I mean, he hasn't gotten another concussion. To me, the proof is in the outcome, but it's not like he's, he's, you know, I remember the first game back, he slid and they broke out and big applause for him. But yeah, I mean, he gets caught up in the moment. And that's the thing. It's one thing for him to talk about this in a press conference setting, but guys just get caught up in the moment. They're aggressive, they're competitive, and they do what they think they need to do in that split second where you don't have time to think about it. And I don't know, maybe it's a longer play where he's trying to rewire his brain, but at least he understands the connection between playing with reckless abandon and abandoning his teammates. Yeah, and you can see here, he has been really good since coming back. I mean, I thought they were done, their quarterback play, because I saw one of their first games without two, or a couple of games without two, they played the Patriots here at Gillette Stadium, and the Patriots, if not for a receiver stepping out about, getting his foot down. Allah, Isaiah likely in the opener in Kansas City, if a receiver gets his foot down to back of the end zone, the Patriots beat the Dolphins, the Snoop Huntley Dolphins, their offense look completely different. Toa has been magical back there, I mean, you see the record, and you also see the performance. Look at the passing touchdown, so if we were having conversations about Toa's contract before, that's not a conversation anymore. Toa has earned the contract for the Miami Dolphins, nobody else on their roster comes even close. They don't even cut, they're not even 50%, or 30% of what Toa is. So he has been, he's been really a seasoned saver for them. Without him, this thing is done. Without him, they're like the Jets and Patriots, they're that team, they're that bad without them. And Michael, when he first started down that path of no one else will say this, but I will. My mind started to go to the idea that what he's trying to say is nobody else can play this position here like I can, but others are saying that. Maybe he just kind of inartfully was saying, you know, this is going to sound immodest. And maybe I shouldn't be saying this, right, but it's clear in that offense, he's the only guy that can do that globe trotters, hidden ball trick where, you know, shell game, three card money that is fun to watch, no look passes. Now it doesn't travel well to Green Bay and the cold, but it works in Miami and the Jets are going to have their hands full, but he's the only guy that can do it. I thought it was a matter of reps, but these other guys are getting reps. These other guys can't do it. He's the only one who can do it. And there's something to be said for being able to manipulate a defense with that kind of stuff that we see from maybe Patrick Mahomes, maybe Mahomes and nobody else. And that's a skill that helps justify the contract they've given into him. But the other way to justify that contract, Michael, you've got to be available to play. And I think at the core, I agree with you, they should have fleshed it out a little bit more. But at the core, I think he's finally acknowledged, even if it doesn't show up in the play yet, he's finally acknowledged, he's got to take very seriously his obligation to his teammates to be available. And that includes protecting himself at all costs on a football field. Yeah, I think they'll do fine in this game against the Jets, and they're still trying to get into the playoffs, but that's for the players. The front office, shame on them if they're not doing this right now. Free agency starts now for the Miami Dolphins. They should be scanning and scouring the market for the very best backup quarterback just in case because they're fortunate that two have came back. When we first saw that injury, when we first saw that concussion, I thought he may be out for the season. And that conversation about Willie played football again was legitimate, and it took a while for him to come back. So the Dolphins can't put themselves in this position again. They should find the best backup quarterback who can do that same thing. Don't just give somebody on the roster who makes sense, who is a good financial value. No, you got to overpay. The Dolphins have to overpay for a backup because it's such a specific skill set that Mike McDaniel was looking for, and nobody else on that roster can do it except for to it. Call clickranger.com or just stop by, Ranger, for the ones who get it done. And here's why that's important. You don't want two playbooks. You don't want the playbook for the starter and the playbook for the backup because that puts stress on the other 10 guys, especially the skill position guys. We're running the offense a certain way with Tua, Tua's out, and now we're running a different offense entirely because the other guy can't do it to it does. And now that they've paid Tua, because I feel like at times, and this was part of the post Brian Flores, whoever's right, whoever's wrong, whatever went down, whoever it was, it was obsessed with getting to Sean Watson on the team and putting Tua overboard, I feel like part of the Mike McDaniel approach has been to go out of the way to prop Tua up. You know, when they picked up his fifth year option, it's like, should they really be picking up his fifth year option, but they did. They given the big contract, and I think they have to, at some point, get Tua to understand. It's not a threat to you if we bring in somebody who can do what you do. Good luck finding someone like that. We're going to find someone and we're going to teach them to do what you do because you have a history of not being available. So yeah, there's a way to do it that actually gets Tua even more determined to play the game in a way that makes sure he's available, but that's what they need to do, and he can't be upset about it because they made a firm three-year massive financial commitment to him. He can't be upset if they find a Tua clone. If there is one out there, we know there's a Marhamlin clone, can we find a Tua clone to come in? I'm kidding, obviously, I think, a Tua clone to come in and run that offense if he's not available and hope you never need the guy. That's the paradox. You get a guy who can run the offensive way Tua does, and you're more likely to never need him. You said it right, Mike. They can do it now because they paid him. Imagine asking Tua Tungavailoa contract situation uncertain, "Hey, we just want you to do. We were thinking about it. We were just talking in the conference room. We want you to bring a quarterback in and just teach them everything that you know about the offense, and we'll talk about the contract later. Don't worry about it. You say, "Get the hell out of here." But he's got the contract, he's secure, he's the guy there, and he knows if he has to go off for any reason, let's say it's not a concussion. We're talking so much about Tua and his unavailability at times, we assume that maybe it's an ankle, high ankle sprain, whatever it is, the offense just can't be grounded when he's gone. They need somebody who can really do that thing. Yeah, because you're making the bet every year that the guy's going to be able to play 17 games. If he can't, you don't get to the playoffs, period, that's it. All right. Good stuff. Let's take a break. We got a lot to get to over the last 27 minutes of the program. When we return, we're going to dive into some of the other key match ups for the 14th Sunday of the regular season that's next year on PFT Live, AKA Run PFT. It's been an amazing week. My girlfriend is actually a cheerleader for the Cowboys, and she got baptized this Sunday, so it was awesome getting to do that, and all of her teammates got to come watch, and then literally the next day I get a call that I'm going to work after the dangles, and they're playing on Monday. I was like, "Well, Zoe, I will see you at home no matter what," so yeah, it's pretty cool. So she will be on the sidelines cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. She's going to be cheering for me, so she's going to be great, but yes, we'll both be there. She's already told me 2nd quarter and 4th quarters when she's on the visitor side, so I'll have to sneak her a couple smiles. What a weird little twist of fate. Hey, York now kicking for the Bengals, because Evan McPherson is on injured reserve, and he'll be going to the AT&T stadium for Monday night football, Bengals, Cowboys, you know, it's kind of sad. That's really the only storyline of interest coming out of that game, because both teams are pretty much cooked at this point. You think the Cowboys are cooked? I mean, I think they're cooked, but mathematically, this is why, when we talked about it last week, or a couple of weeks ago, with Jerry Jones saying, "Hey, it's not crazy to say Mike McCarthy will be back." I think these are the games he's looking at, so they already got the commanders, they got the Giants, knocked them out on Thanksgiving, so here we are. And I think he looks at this as a prime opportunity, the Bengals can't defend anybody. They're fun to watch on offense, but defensively, they're a mess. I think Jerry Jones looks at it and say, "We can get this, get to 6 and 7." Hey, we're still in the conversation. They get to 6 and 7, there'll be two games behind the commanders who are off this weekend at 8 and 5. So they already have the win over Washington, which kind of sparked this belated resurgence. Next up, the Panthers, a game the Cowboys should win, Buccaneers, Sunday Night Football, won't be easy at the Eagles, won't be easy if the Eagles are still playing for something like chasing the one seed, and then the commanders to finish the season. So they would have to make up, if they win on Monday night, they have to make up one game in the next three to make week 18 basically winner take all for the seventh seed. That's how it would go, because if the Cowboys, as a game behind, beat the commanders, force to tie, head to head tie breaker, if those are the only two teams with that record, boom, Cowboys are in, so they're not done, they're not done. Now would they beat the two seed? Probably not. No. They haven't been good postseason team, 12 and 5, 12 and 5, 12 and 5 and done, done, done, but getting to the playoffs this year after the way they started, maybe it does save Mike McCarkey. Yeah, I think it would, and that would be the motivation for the Cowboys to save his job. It's not like they would get into the playoffs and say to themselves, nobody wants to see us coming to town. Watch out. No, no. You're at a, at a seven seed taking off whoever the two seed is going to be in the NFC is going to be a great team, because we know how, how top heavy the NFC is thanks to the NFC north. So whoever they play in the first round on the road, they'll probably get smashed. But I'll say this, it's pretty simple for the Cowboys, a simple way of looking at it. They have to win every game and they have to hope the commanders collapse. That's it. That's how they get into the playoffs. The commanders have to collapse and the Cowboys have to win other games because that cluster we were looking at there that five and seven and six and six, I can see them passing some of those teams. I mean, the Rams have the bills. That's a tough game for them. They're six and six to see Hawks have the Cardinals, it's a tough game for the Cardinals. So there's going to be some movement there in that five and seven, six and six cluster. But the real issue is the commanders are eight and five and you're five and seven. So you need something miraculous to happen to get into that position. And you're right. You need both because if you don't catch fire, it's going to be one of the other teams. One place team in the NFC South or NFC West that ends up passing both teams by and stealing the seven seed and the right to go to Philadelphia and lose by 25. But who knows? All right, Falcons taking on the Vikings, Kirk Cousins back in Minnesota, three straight losses for Atlanta. They were flying high at six and three. No touchdown passes, six interceptions for Kirk Cousins in those three losses. He leads the NFL with 13 picks, but he's going back to a place he knows very well. And the last time he played there, he had the best game of his career against San Francisco 49ers on a Monday night, six days before he blew out his Achilles and ended his career with the Viking. So I think he's going to get right this week. I don't know if it's enough to beat the Vikings just because the Vikings seem a cut above the Falcons. But I don't think it's going to be because it's going to happen because Kirk Cousins throws four interceptions. And that four, two, look, I don't think he's going to get right. He knows them, he knows that place very well. Unfortunately for him, they know him very well too. They practiced against him. So Kevin O'Connell knows his tendencies more than anybody. And so does Brian Flores because he practiced against him. And so I just think it is a bad, it's going to be a great sentimental story for Kirk Cousins, baby. I don't know. Is he beloved? And in the Twin Cities, not sure about that, but it would be nice, you know, some feel good stories. Hey, remember when reminiscing Kirk, Kirk Cousins, but on the field, I think it's going to be messy. I don't think it's going to get right. I'll be shocked if he doesn't throw a couple more picks. I don't think he's beloved. At least he shouldn't be because he arrived right on the heels of the Vikings having an unexpected appearance in the NFC Championship, but they had a special season with case Keenum coming in for Sam Bradford and just, you know, pulling a rabbit out of his hat one week after another. And they ended up like 13 and three and were up seven, nothing against the Eagles in the NFC Championship before it fell apart. There was a belief that Cousins was going to take the program to the next level and they had one playoff win in six seasons, but with all that said, Michael, and I've said this a few times and I want to emphasize this, Vikings fans, not that they're inclined to boo anyone anyway, because they're nice. They should not boo him at the end of the day, he made a no brainer business decision. The Vikings wanted to keep playing the year at a time game. The Falcons came through with a hundred million dollar fully guaranteed commitment. Anyone in their right mind would have taken that, especially when you're married to someone who's from the Georgia area. It's a no brainer. One team's making a commitment. The other team isn't now. I don't know what he would have done if he had known that they were going to take Michael Pentec's journey with the eighth overall pick in the draft that might have been a factor in his final analysis, but based on what was in front of him at the time, you can't be mad at him for doing the thing that any of us would have done. Kirk Cousins should go to a business school. I would hire him as an associate professor at Stanford Business School, Michigan, well, he's a great Harvard Business School. This man knows about making money. What an inspiration. He's not a top five quarterback, but you look at the amount of money Kirk Cousins has made over his career. Some of the deals that he's signed, it's inspiring. Anybody who looks at Kirk Cousins and is upset, that is somebody Mike who hates money because you really can't argue with it. He'd be foolish. You'd have to criticize him for turning it down and staying in Minnesota for some team friendly deal. Absolutely not. You got to take those opportunities when they're presented to you. But with all that said, the Falcons might have regrets because he has regressed and the Michael Pentec's junior conversation has begun. And if he has another bad game, especially in Minnesota, it's going to go louder because the Falcons are starting. If they lose and the Bucks win, Bucks have the Raiders, Bucks are in first place and you're going to have what I thought we'd have earlier in the season, the We want Pentec's crowd in Atlanta loud and whether it's week one of next year or late part of this year, it could be that the Cousins plug gets pulled pretty quickly. All right. Let's pull the plug on that game. Seahawks Cardinals. The records aren't great, but they're the top two teams are among the top two teams in the NFC West. Seahawks just beat the Cardinals 16 to 6 in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. Arizona's lost two in a row after winning four in a row. They should have beaten the Vikings out played Minnesota. That's on them letting that one get away from them, but but they were physically dominated by the Seahawks two weeks ago. Arizona needs this one. If they're going to make what would be a very surprising playoff appearance, they desperately need this one. Yeah, and I think, I don't know if you agree with this Mike, I think I know who the Cardinals are. I don't know if the Cardinals, even their they're scuffling a little bit. I have no idea who the Seahawks are. They've been all over the place this year with they had their center retire. They they cut a they're leading tackler in the middle of the season. I think it was a going was it before the by or right after the by they move on from their starting linebacker, they they had a good start they start off three and Oh, and then they they collapse and now they're coming back. So I'm not really sure what to make of this team under Mike McDonald give him credit first year coach has not really lost the team after a hot start and then seemingly what looked like a collapse. But if I really have to break it down, what team do I trust more? It's not the Seahawks, the Cardinals. I like the car. Well, and I feel I feel like there's a greater level of desperation with the Cardinals because if they lose this one, they're going to essentially be three, they're going to have to make up three games with four weeks left because the head to head tiebreaker will belong to the Seahawks. So they're going to have to overcome them by three games in this stand is going to have to tie them and pass them to win the division. The thing with the Seahawks and Chris Sims and I were talking about this on the picks podcast, Leonard Williams told me after the game last week when he had that 92 yard interception return for a touchdown. I asked him about making the playoffs and he said, I'm glad you use that word because that's the word that we've adopted coming out of the by. We're in the playoffs now and they've won three games in a row. So they've they've adopted a playoff mindset. We'll see because this is a playoff game for the Cardinals. This it definitely is. It's not for the Seahawks. They can get away with losing this one. It definitely is for the Arizona Cardinals. All right, let's take a break because we are dusting off a Friday tradition. Show me something draft up next here after I explained to Michael Holly during the break with the show me something draft is we'll be right back with it. All right, Friday edition PFT live and it's back it's back because we now have the second hour on Friday back. The show me something draft the Peter King Daniel Jones Memorial show me something draft Michael Holly for the first time ever show me something. It falls to you show me something Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers there in last place Mike in the NFC West five and seven. This should be a good right game for them. I know Christian McCaffrey is out. I know Mason's out. They've got some injuries Trent Williams, but they've got to be able to. They've got to be able to show some type of offensive firepower, some type of resiliency after a very pathetic I got to say I know it was in the snow, a pathetic snow game against the Buffalo Bills time to redeem yourself against the bears. It was like they had never seen snow before in their lives. That's how they played. It was awful. You and I were talking about that earlier. Isaac Garendo getting the opportunity to come in and be the lead running back with both Jordan Mason and Christian McCaffrey out show me something George Pickens had a couple of personal fouls last week. There's the clip from the hard knock show where after he was pulled to the ground and they should have flagged the defensive back Cam Taylor Britt who picked off the ball and ran it in for a touchdown Mike Tom and getting his head back in the game. He did have the two unsportional like conduct penalties after that he was lucky a technicality kept him from being injected after the Browns beat the Steelers two weeks ago he was talking crap in the locker room about how the Browns on a good team while the Browns are coming to town and they're going to try to get under your skin. You got to show me performance. You got to show me excellence and you got to show me maturity. Don't take the bait. Don't get yourself flagged and don't lose sight of doing what needs to be done to help the Steelers rectify the loss from 15 days ago and continue this push toward an AFC North Championship. Hey, listen, before I get to my next show me something I want to many show me something because you mentioned Mike Tomlin and Hard Knocks. I'd love to see the unedited footage of Tomlin just talking. It is so fascinating just to hear him hear him and watch him do his thing. He just knows how to get the ear of everybody in a colorful creative way and he just I just I'd listen to him talk about anything so I'd love to see that I'd love to see that footage that's on the cutting room floor but I'd say this show me something Aaron Rodgers you know Aaron Rodgers does a great job of checking in with Pat McAfee and doing his thing and just talking about a number of issues but show me something on the field. He thinks it's ridiculous that the Jets would have would put him in an audition situation down the stretch well you've got 2600 yards completing 62% of your passes it's fine but you don't look like a top five or even top 10 quarterback and football go out even if your team is not going to make the playoffs go out and perform show me something Aaron Rodgers. Well that's right and show the rest of the league something because at this point he's auditioning for a job elsewhere show me something speaking of auditions for a job elsewhere Mac Jones he gets to run the show the rest of the year Trevor Lawrence on IR here comes Michael McCorkel Jones with a chance to maybe get someone to say I like the cut of his jib I'm going to give him an opportunity to be a starter this is it because we had that great rookie season then we had the Matt Patricia debacle then we had last year which I think was just the fumes of that and Bill Belichick and Mac Jones not getting along this is his chance this is your time Mac Jones your ship has come in show me something we got to go that's a good one that's a good one I know you'd like to have something to say on Mac Jones let's take a break if you got you can make the comment before you make your final pick we'll take a break more PFT live presented by Accenture right now all right wrapping up this Friday edition of PFT live show me something there are the first four selections from the first two rounds Michael Hall you're up round three show me something James Winston who says he wants to be delivered from pick sixes I just want to put that in there because that was just so funny Lord delivered me from pick sixes after the Broncos game on Monday night Jamie James Winston's Winston has brought some entertainment and enthusiasm and really life to the Cleveland office I'd like to say that all seriousness Mike I would like to see him play well because I think he's a good fit for that franchise and he makes it fun look one team wins the Super Bowl the other 31 teams have to find a way to be interesting and relevant and compelling he's all of those things for the Browns he's so much more interesting than to Sean Watson and better even with the warts even with the turnovers he's fun and he's a great leader and he'll only be better if he's entrusted with the full time starting job but these are the Browns and dysfunctional teams do dysfunctional things all right speaking of that show me something Antonio Pierce like show me how to manage a game show me how to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat you could have done it and then you snatched what you you stuffed you stuffed the victory back in the jaws of defeat against the chief last week because he's going to be done it's going to be my grave in Las Vegas next year write it down now unless you turn it around quickly and you do it on Sunday against the Buccaneers that's it Michael great stuff everybody enjoy the games see you Monday Gibbs sport with gifts from Nike from the retro bomero 5 sneaker design the zoom air cushioning to fleece engineered with lightweight warmth and next level comfort we have the perfect gift for any athlete on your list shop now at your nearest Nike store the first ever Kia K4 seamlessly combines bowl style and advanced tech with striking star map LED headlights and an available panoramic display the Kia K4 delivers design and function the available surround view and blind spot view monitors can help provide added confidence plus serious XM come standard bringing you closer to what you love the Kia K4 balances aesthetics and innovation learn more at kia calm slash k4 surround view and blind spot view monitors may not detect all objects around or behind the vehicle [BLANK_AUDIO]
