[Music] [Music] It's time for the podcast you've been waiting for. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] The official Detroit Lions Podcast for Reddit, Green, Babe, Packers, Sweet Edition, I am your Dashing Host, Chris, and with me is my good friend and co-host, Ash, Mr. Tweets, and how you doing, brother? Exhausted. Let's do this thing. [Music] Look, I knew we were doing post-game show. We're gonna win, of course, but there's a lot of times. If ever I had a chance to maybe foment a doubt about our perfection and supporting his team, today might have been the day, but I should've known better. Right, well, Jared Goff was tripping. There was no moment where I was like, "Ahh!" I was telling my wife, I'm like, "He was down in college. He was down." Oh my God! 100%. Any love about the NFL? That is a dead play, and we're all going like, "You idiot!" I just want to let me get it worked, but it was a bad call. Terrible decision. Yes, yes, yes. Doesn't matter, 'cause it worked. I'm gonna just really quick, just to start things off, the FTP in the chat is like going crazy. Let me honor that, and then we have a little something from our guy Matt. I think everybody needs to hear this. It's just an honor of the evening in this team. Let's fuck the Packers. Hey Lions! It's time to fuck the Packers! Hey Lions! Stick it in there, boys! So when you're fucking the Packers, don't be gentle. Don't treat 'em nice, because you know you gotta fuck the Packers. All right, Matt, thank you! Great, great. I mean, this is a Grammy award winner. I can see it already. Message we can all get behind you. All right, we got a great show lined up. You ready to go, Ash? Let's get it done. Let's keep this off and break it down. All right. Whoo! Man, oh man, oh man. This is, I've seen all kinds of stuff of need. What was it? I need a Xanax or something, boy. Gameballs to Chris and Ash. Guarantee in the post-game show. Thank you, Mike. Appreciate you. I don't think the new here. Campbell's gonna follow up with that, but maybe. Maybe we'll get it off season, but we'll see. O'Connor. O'Connor. Just a number of players stepping up. I'm, I'm... Yeah, don't be standing there with a long party trophy going, and we'd just like to thank Chris Ash for doing all those stupid post-game podcasts. I know they can't watch this right now, because they're doing one. Which guaranteed the Super Bowl win? Yeah, but this one's for you guys. This one's for you guys. Thank you for your service, John. Oh, traveling man. Thank you. I don't have words. We won from the D from a pickup game, A.G. found at the Hark. We're gonna talk all about that. We're gonna cove that. I just, I didn't enjoy that little song. I just want to, I just want to really quick tell people. Number one, we're gonna do the, we're gonna talk about the game a little bit. We're watching for the post game. Pressers, we've got to get those on. And I've got to go, do we want to do a Lefler Placer? Lefler Placer? What's his name? We want to do a presser from Green Bay. They will see what we can do about that as well. I'll try to get that going on. He's getting really whiny at the end, so. Oh, yeah. He might as well watch him whine a little bit more. I think there's a gamesmanship that got that flag there that cheese ball calling right now. He's been whining for three place at that point. So yeah, something was going on there. Oh, man. So thank you at Travelman for the Super Chat. Also, thank you, dreadful Sean, M.C. D.C. Excuse me, M.C. D.C. cousin heart attacks all over the state of Michigan with that last fourth down call. Oh, my God, bros. Ash, I want to pull this up just so I can watch for the, the Packers conference to come up. Just talk about that call. Just talk about the, the, the hard stopper there for us. Man. Did I lose you? Can you shut that up? Oh, no, just messing with you. Fourth down. It's, it's fourth and nothing. And there's less than a minute to go. And what do you do there? You kick the damn field goal. That's every coach for all of history will tell you that you kick the damn field goal at that point. There is no question that that is what you are supposed to do, that that is the right answer, that that is the right call. Yeah. And Campbell does not always, you know, make the same call. And there's a thin line between genius and madness. And I think we saw madness today, but sometimes madness works out. Okay. Yeah. What's his name? The abstract dark guy? Why can't I remember his name? Warhol? No. Picasso. Picasso, cut his own ear off. It goes best you crazy. No, it's been, that's been in history. And God. That is rough. Oh, yeah, that was Van Gogh. Anyway. It's a late night, dude. Count de Monet. Anyway. Yeah. Oh, so it was a terrible call, but it works. So nobody cares. FTP. FTP. Since we're doing the TP, we got two ply TP catching balls out there. Got two touchdowns. I mean, my man. I don't know if he's going to like that nickname, but I'm all in on it. That's what we got today. Too ply. I love to apply. Matt. FTP and Jerry golf. Yes. Absolutely. Got to love it. Got to love it. I don't, I'm what a game golf coming up off his knee with that, with, with the hand off. Beautiful. I mean, look, it wasn't beautiful. Is anything but beautiful? Except it worked. And the recovery was beautiful. I mean, this, I mean, this team fought uphill both ways in the snow barefoot today to win this game and go 12 and two to seal a place in the playoffs. The first team in the NFC to seal a playoff spot. Ladies and gentlemen, these are your Detroit lions. I don't know. 12 and one. What do I say? You said 12 and two. Oh, yeah. We're not doing a post game show on every Buffalo 12 and one, 12 and one, 12 and one, 12 and 12. Yeah. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Was man. We had to be that. What a, what a story for this team. I mean, look, this is, this really does harken back. Two men. And I know I hate this team too, but the story was something the 90s when Jimmy Johnson took over the Dallas Cowboys and they were like one in whatever 15, whatever, and then eight and eight and then one on and one. This is, this is the kind of turnaround we're seeing right here with the Detroit lions. This is like, this, this doesn't happen. This doesn't happen, folks. Rarely, rarely. When you look at a team, the number one NFC, the first one NFC team to seal a playoff birth, what a, what a beautiful way to do it at home. The crowd tonight was fire, fire, dude. It was fantastic. God. Yeah. Despite Amazon's best efforts to mute them as often as possible so that you couldn't hear anything that's happening. It was like a pin was dropping the entire time. I don't understand why these networks don't understand what makes sports on TV. Good is that it makes you feel like you're at the event. Yeah. So they do everything they can to take you out of the environment and listen to Kurt Herb Street, who like, he's fine. You know what I mean? He felt this year. His first year, he was terrible. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like legitimately some of the most out of touch announcing I've ever heard regarding the NFL because it just wasn't his thing. You know what I mean? And then it got picked up a little bit and now it's kind of like, man, that guy loves the Packers. Uh, that's all I'm going to say about that one, like just all I'm saying, there's. That's my Kurt Herb Street invitation. Yeah. Basically. He fell off a slip this year. Last year he blew up right he was doing every freaking broadcast that he was carrying it. He was doing good. Something happened. You know, this year he's just not been the Herb Street that we grew to love last year. And, um, and I don't know if it's Amazon because Amazon has really seemed to suck the life out. Michael's too. I'm ready for him to retire as much as I've loved him forever. I just, I just am ready for him to go and I am done with him. He's. Yeah. It is. Luckily we don't have to watch a lot of Thursday night camps. You know what I mean? We don't get shoved into that purgatory very often. Too low. Um, John Brock, nothing like watching history unfold in front of your eyes. Absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you for the super chat. No one of the D line tonight started this season. Yeah. Oh, what a lean went out, bro. Yeah. Well, that's kind of what everything fell apart too. You know what I mean? Like just the complete lack of depth on the D line, like Muhammad had a really good game for three quarters and then he was exhausted. Yeah. Like you could just see him suck an air and it's, it's, I don't know how many snaps he played, but it felt like all of them, you know? And that's, that's kind of too many guys, like I'm looking for names here, who, who else is an end that I can even recognize. Like half of the guys who are playing on defense tonight, I don't even know who they are. Class low, Aaron Glenn out there was six guys from the Slack chat and still kept it reasonable. Yeah. Oh, that's the thing you got a bunch of Packers slappies coming in the chat. You know, not, not, not a whole bunch, but there's been a couple who just come in the chat. You need the refs to win blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, buddy. Your team couldn't beat a JV defense tonight. Okay. Yeah. I, you know, look, the refs were way too involved in this game. Both both ways. I mean, there was, there was, there's crappy, crappy officiating all over that field today. But the one thing that I really bothered me and happened again, like, like the last, like the Chicago game, there's never a rhythm. There's always a, Hey, we need some TV time for Mr. Refman, because he only had two days off. Oh, we need some more TV time for the ref. Oh, you know, and I don't know, I don't want to, I mean, it, it was an accident. Nobody, nobody did anything, you know, and there's no malice or anything, but when you take out a ref with a player, you got nothing twice about there. There's going to be, you know, look at that. Yep. Yeah. Particularly once that guy gets back in, you know, like it's just, uh, curious how, how many of those calls were his that, uh, little, little awkward. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw that Kirby messed up his shoulder, his arm on that last drive, um, uh, in Green Bay. Oh, man. I was dinged up to someone said that was cramps, but I don't know how accurate that is. But like that's, can you imagine this defensive? It doesn't have Kirby or a branch next week against Buffalo man, a lot of money for those tickets, bro. Okay. I don't want to imagine that. Oh, like that's just going to be that'll not be pleasant because, you know, like they got you all Adams, but you don't watch them all Adams cover now. Feel deep Seattle knows that very well, uh, PSA for Alliance fans Campbell is six and two against the flower. Uh, Matt is terrible versus the lions and yes, that's, that's fantastic to see. You can see the frustration on his eyes and, uh, you know what? I can go to the floor before we do the lion's presser. Do we want to do that? Do you want to just go right into the floor and do it first? Let's do that. Let's, let's check out what the flower has to say of the flower. Okay. I just, just do one little a, um, chronic migraine is 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more. Botox on a botulinum toxin A prevents headaches and adults with chronic migraine. It's not for adults with migraine with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It prevents on average eight to nine headache days a month versus six to seven for placebo. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. I have to tell you, I was just looking on eBay where I go for all kinds of things I love and there it was. That hologram trading card. One of the rarest the last one I needed for my set, shiny like the designer handbag of my dreams. One of a kind eBay had it and now everyone's asking, ooh, where'd you get your windshield wipers? eBay has all the parts that fit my car. No more knowing. Just beautiful. Whatever you love, find it on eBay. eBay. Things people love. Look out for it, L-A-F-L-E-U-R, the flower. I'm glad I have someone here that speaks French to help me out with it. All right. Let's bring up the the flower, the lack of power that comes from a flower. It's coming in right now here and I can do one thing, sorry, my bad. Obviously extremely disappointed for our guys, I thought it was one of those games that we knew exactly how it was going to be. It was going to be a hard fought back and forth game and that's what it was, but I thought our guys did a good job coming out the second half, kind of getting the momentum by going down, scoring a touchdown, hitting the big plate of Christian, then defensively getting the takeaway and converting that into points. But ultimately I thought we just started, especially on the offensive side of the ball, too slow. If we go punt, fumble, then we score a touchdown, so it's only a handful of plays that separate these types of games and like I told our team, we're going to have to earn the right to potentially come back here and it's not going to be easy and we got to put in the work, but I'm confident in the resiliency of our group and that they're going to continue to fight and push each other to get better and stay connected. Because I do think we have a pretty good football team. Yeah, I mean, that's good football, right? They're a really good football team, very well coached, a lot of great players and you know, it's tough to come into somebody else's building, I mean, you got to play better. So I think there are some areas that we can really look at this where we have to improve upon, you know, situationally, like third down, that was critical, and then not coming away with the touchdown there at the end, in the red area, that was tough as well. But I think really offensively and defensively, the third and fourth down was probably the difference in the game. Yeah, I mean, he had time to throw, they ran a ton of screens today and that really hurt us. So I'm sure there's some things that we do differently, things we got to look at and they've got great playmakers and they just try to get them the ball and those guys can get their yak machines, I mean, all those guys that they can get the ball to and then they were able to get some down the field where he had the time to step up in the pocket and Jared Goff is, he's an excellent quarterback, he's playing as good as anybody. Man, I know it's going to surprise you that it's a lot to see like the World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World World. Not necessarily, maybe the one at the end of the game a little bit. But, you know, that's how Dan has done it throughout the course of his career and so it doesn't necessarily surprise me. But that gave us an opportunity there, we just, you know, hats off to them, they executed and we didn't. Well, it's unfortunate, you know, that's what I was talking to the officials about because there was another one, I thought that potentially our guy got picked but they said their guy was running around. Bottom line is if you're running a shallow cross, you got to avoid the defender and we didn't. So, that was a tough one because we weren't even trying to throw the ball to the right side. The play went off schedule and, you know, we found Jacobs and Jordan did a nice job, you know, buying time, scrambling in the pocket and finding Josh there but obviously that was a tough call and, you know, we got to, we got to do better. Decent. They're a good football team that's going to challenge you and we knew that, they're going to play a ton of man coverage, load the box, I mean, those yards that our runners were able to get today were hard earned yards, so, but that's, that's the style of play that they have and, you know, it's, it's tough to go against, you've got to be, you've got to be really good and it forces you to be, to make a lot of plays and fortunately for us, we had a lot of guys make plays. I thought Christian Watson made multiple plays in the game. I thought Wix here at the end, made a bunch of plays, I thought Jordan was, was, did a pretty good job all night long and he was under a dress for, on, on many of those plays as well. Yeah, I've never been a part of something like that. It was, I was, he was talking junk to our players, giving them the throw slash sign. And I'm, you know, you're trying to deescalate it and then he gets in my face. So, I thought it was pretty unsportsmanlike, like I've never seen that. I've been on many fields and usually they police that much better. How do you guys push coaches before? I thought it was an arrogant thing that, you know, wanted to get in part of the action and just, I would like to see security or something, step in there and get them out of there. Because it's, it's, he shouldn't be doing that. God, what a mind, bitch. It's just a small bit of, you know, you win the opening for $300. What goes into the city and, you know, it's kind of tough to sit around and play an offense like this. You want to make it up right away, or you're trying to? I'd say it's always 2020, part of the reason I, we decided to defer was, if you remember the first time we, we played these guys, it didn't go our way at the end of the half. I just thought it was going to be a tight battle. And if we were down at all, I wanted the ball to start the second half is really what it came down to. You guys are still in earlier position from a playoff spot. What could you confidence you can come back here potentially in January? Well, yeah, that's a long way away. And if we, if we don't look at what we have right in front of us, then that's, we're doing ourselves a disservice, like you've got to keep your eyes down and just continue to work and grind and get better, stay together and just, all these games from here on out, like I told our team, they're all going to be, they're going to come down to situations like this. And I think, I do think we have a really good football team. And I think we're going to get everybody's best shot, just like we're going to give everybody our best shot. And, you know, it's just a few plays here and there that really separate these types of games. It was good. Who's got us on the offensive pass here first, because that's what gets screened up in the other direction? Yeah. It was a bad play call. I shouldn't have called it. They were in base defense. Bad play call. We'll try to sneak them through, wasn't able to get through. Play went off schedule. And then we had, in case he was covered, we had Christian running a shell across. So the quarterback can progress from him to Christian. And obviously the safety was coming down to cover the back. They collided, the play went off schedule, got called for OPI. All right, thanks guys. All right. There you go. Oh, God. I love that. Do we want to see Jordan love when he comes on? Absolutely. Okay. We can do that. We can do all that. Oh, man. It might be a bit for the Lions because golf was out with the Amazon Prime guys for a few minutes there. So he might be a while getting to the presser. Yeah. Okay. That's good. Oh, God. We love that. Just love that. And the name, I think the name Matt crime, bitch, the floor fit. I mean, he couldn't have done it any better for us. I mean, he couldn't have represented. Yeah. Any better. Thank you, sir. Thank you for your service. Oh, man. It is so beautiful to hear Packers fans whine about rough shopping people just with a complete utter lack of awareness of how much they've been the beneficiary of that for like decades at this point. Yep. Just ridiculous crap. Like their guy hands to the face is our guy. Our guy gets called for hands to the face. Yeah. Like just like or the phantom face mask where the guy basically just taps the face mask ever so slightly doesn't even hook a finger on it. And that's 50 yards in the fourth quarter, handing the Packers the game like, um, go F yourselves Packers fans one and all each and every one of you sincerely for me. Yeah. Just shut off. Choke on another brought choke on it, man. This is this is six and two. We own Lambo. This is look, this is this is our turn. Tough shit. You don't got it. You don't got it. We were there. We know what it was like. But you know what? Forgot. Because we got it now. It's ours. No, go learn. Go learn. Live it. Go deal. Go back to the Mike Tom Zack era is that's where you're at. You're, you're in a slide hold on those cheese hats, boys. Yep. Um, Wells Walker's right. This game's not even close. If we don't give them a TV with it, uh, fourth down call at our own 30 golf roll out with a run pass option would be much better than a sweep left. Like it's 1950. Yeah. I absolutely hated that call. Um, everybody was caught by surprise except the defense. Like, why don't you call that? Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes, man, it, uh, yeah, but it's, it's one of those things, uh, like everybody always keeps saying here, you know, you live by the sword, you die by the sword. And, uh, sometimes there's just not a right call for fourth and one, you know, like that, let's give the Packers defense their due. Uh, they absolutely stuffed the run all damn night, you know, and we didn't get the, the chunk place that we're used to seeing from the running game. They did a great job not only of kind of limiting the down to down production, but also it didn't give those up and, uh, hats off to them. They did a pretty good job tonight. I mean, they still gave up 34 points. So like the defense overall was particularly good on their end, but they did stop the run. Let's get coach. You guys. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And we didn't, we didn't stop running though. There's a little bit of pride in that I, I kind of wanted to, but we, we kept, we kept at it and then, and we came out on top as coach Campbell in the press conference here. Every day we help to meet the highest standards for our customers. Our commitment will never change. We will always do the right thing. Man, what a win. You know, that was hell of a job by our players and our coaches, man, it was a total team effort. We talked about it, you know, what we were going to need going in, the style that we needed to play with and, and, you know, we wanted that defense to just cut it loose. Let's go play, man, effort, finish, and, and man, they did that, you know, how they did that. It's hell of a job by E.G. and, and those guys just laid it on the line, man, they called them the Northern Savages. They just rolled right in the door, man, and they're in the game to hell of a job. And then our offense, you know, we knew they were going to need to carry the load, you know, you need to carry a little bit more of the, the backpacks and such and, and man, we did that. You know, they did that, stepped up in a big way and it was a number of guys really made plays for us across the board, you know, and it took everybody we had on offense and, you know, golf had another big game, TP, was big, you know, Porter made some big plays for us. So, you know, you can go down the line, but man, I was proud of him and, you know, I just love the fact that we just find a way, man, and, and you feel like the narrative, you know, the narrative going in, man, we weren't buying any of this stuff about where we were at and we, no excuses and our guys knew where we were at and we don't need to talk about being tough. We don't need to talk about being resilient, we live it and it's what we are and man, we just proved it again. Proud of our guys. I just, you know, I felt like, um, I just felt like we needed to end it on offense, you know, and I did not want to get that ball back and I believe we could get that. I believe we could convert, you know, and I trusted that old line. I trusted David and, uh, and they came through four cents a hell of a call about Ben, you know, it just, um, I knew how I wanted to play this game. The team knew it and, and everything in me told me that let's, let's finish this. And so we did. How about Jared? Being able to get rid of that ball, he did step down. He's an athlete. And he got the thing handed off and David did the rest. It was great. Was there any, uh, question is your mind after you failed to get the fourth down earlier in the third quarter, whereas no, none, and it, look, I told the guys knew, players knew, coaches knew. Listen, this is don't ride the wave, you know, we could be up to scores. We could be down to scores and, but just because we're one or the other, we got to play our style of game going in, what we felt like we needed to do, what I felt like we needed to do. And so that meant the risk was there and, you know, and you fell in negative territory, you got, you know, you're trying to hold them to a field goal. Um, but I knew, uh, that was, that was how I wanted to play that team with where we were at. Yeah. And you have won so many different ways this season. The way you just won this one with so many guys injured, you just said, no, excuse us. How do you describe this one in, in, in, in, in the whole season? I told the team, this will be one of those you never forget. So golf pregame, I said, man, you've played all these games, you have this long career. Um, you know, and I'm sure there's some, he's probably, you don't remember everything when you've played as long as he, but I said, you will never forget this one, you will never forget this game. And I think a lot of it is just that what we've had to overcome, um, the hand we were dealt and I just love the fact our guys don't make excuses, man. They just find a way and, uh, and everybody in that on this team believe we were going to win that game and we were going to find a way and, uh, and we just, we did it again. We did it again. Guys did it. I'm sorry. I'm having to deal with what you've done with defensive players. Did you know going in that you would go unforced down more than you ever have every chance you get just so you would possess the ball more? Well, I, yeah, I knew that if, if we needed to do that, I was prepared to do that. You're hoping you don't get into them. You just, you don't have to get into fourth. You convert on third if it comes to that, um, but we were prepared. We were prepared. Well, how's your conviction in those moments? Like you've never wavered from this aggressiveness, no matter where this team has been. Uh, well, look, when you're, when you're in it, uh, with these guys and you've been around them long enough and, you know, I've been around then, I've been around golf, been around Frank and soul and saint and, you know, Montgomery now, um, Gibbs and now Jamo's been here going. You know, you just, Laporta, man, there's been enough time on task, um, with those guys Graham that you just, I just, I feel good. I feel good and I felt like we'd find a way and you'd love to say if you're, if you're going to do that, you're going to convert it to one of them, but that's not the route. It doesn't always work that way. And so you know, there's going to be, you're, you're taking a high level of risk. You know, there is risk with it, but I felt like with our guys, it wouldn't be as big of a risk as it may appear to be. It's not something that I can thoughts on qualifying for the playoffs. Is there a lead progress that represents when you came in to where we are now? It's first, we can send a hurricane to the playoffs. Well, and I didn't even, I just found that out, actually, uh, and I didn't even realize that, um, you know, listen, it's good. Um, it's good, but it's like, man, we got four left and, and we want to get, of course, we want it in, we want it in a different way. You know, we, we want it going on our own terms and we want to find a way to get this one seed. Um, and that's, that's the priority. You know, certainly you got to win the division and then you get this one seed in those. Thank you. We took a step closer to, to win in this division and, and doing what I just mentioned. So, um, yeah, listen, it's great, uh, we're in the playoffs. I wish I'd have told the team, I didn't even tell them and not, uh, but, but honestly, I think, I think they know, you know, I, I think they feel like I feel, I really believe that. And it's like, yeah, I think everybody be like, okay, that's great. We'd get the old golf clap, but then it's, we, we know what we want to do. And we, we talked about this really even after last year, we talked about it in the spring, talking about it in training camp. We know what our goals are. Huge, what a great addition he's been. And he just continues to make plays for us in the run game and the past game stepped up big here. Um, man, we talked about catching a knife and today, McCatch, uh, turn and run, catch it, tuck it, turn and run. Do whatever. If you only get five, you got to get a six. If you can only get a seven, you got to get us eight and man. I mean, he did that multiple times and then comes up with a two big touchdowns for us. Uh, he's been an unbelievable addition. I want to stud. Can you say turn, can you say you do how you want to play this game and the team do it? Can you elaborate on it? Because how do you convey the leading of the offense without making it seem like the injuries are going to be made? Uh, I think you just, you, you tell them the way you want to play the game, you know? And, and defensively, uh, we played our strengths and what are our strengths, man? A.G. did a hell of a job trim the package down to where these guys can come in and play. Like we got guys that they've never played ball. I mean, you know, Quan Alexander's played football in this league and, um, Jamal Adams has played football in this league, you know? And we brought in the other guys that are five year guys, um, you know, Miles and Jonah. And so, um, and then Muhammad's been here. And so we just, we, man, we wanted to trim it back to where those guys could play fast. And that was really stipulate. Just cut it loose, man. It's not going to be perfect. It doesn't need to be perfect. And so with that, any burden we can take off you guys where you can just cut it loose. And we knew there may be smears, but I just want to turn on the tape and know the effort and the finish is there and we're going after the football. Find a way to get a takeaway. We got to take away. It was huge. Man, it was huge. Carlton Davis, big, big, big punch out there. And, and then we'll, you know, we'll shuffle the load a little bit to the offensive special teams if need be. Stand this up with the last year, and some of the toughest games you have this season have been against divisional opponents. Just, kind of speaking on that, just this division, this season. Our division is, is damn good. I mean, it's really good. It's the best division in football in my opinion. Um, you know, I mean, we, we got, we got top tier, uh, talent. We got top tier coaching and players and, uh, the whole deal, the competition is just, uh, you know, it's, um, it's really elite. Um, and so I think that's just another reason why you got to do whatever it takes to win this division, man, because if you do, and you're able to play at home, man, it's going to go a long way with the teams that, that we have, because I, I think the team we just played in Minnesota, or so, you know, I think we can all make some noise. Dennis, uh, this game was chippy from Jump. What do you tie your team going into a game like this about keeping that aggression, making sure they kind of find that one? Yeah, just keep your head, be disciplined. I mean, it, it's really as simple as that. Our guys know. You know, I thought they did a hell of a job. Our guys did a hell of a job. Um, you know, uh, certainly we're not going to take anything from anybody, but, uh, but we're smart enough to know that, man, we, we can't have, you know, personal files and things like that. So you just tell them that and they understand that they really do. Um, you know, they handle it well. Thanks guys. Alright, there we go. Looking for a pickup truck to get just about anything done? They, they were stunned and, uh, didn't know what the hell to do with themselves. I'm going to go look and see if the Jordan love has been on and I believe he has. Super cool. It was. So when you get there, give me, give me a second for that, uh, come up. Okay. I do a little bit of work. Um, what do you think about a coach Campbell and number one, the size of those freaking nuts, man? Well, they're giant, you know, and like golden. So you know, that they're really shiny and, uh, man, uh, yep, it's, it just is what it is. Man, like, coach Campbell is going to do what he's going to do and it's, it's Ben Johnson's job to make that work and he did it. Go ahead. Let me get low on here. Yeah, just, uh, obviously didn't start fast enough, uh, you know, I think didn't convert on those third downs, those, those crucial third downs, uh, early on is, and that's something that we've been trying to focus on, uh, the past couple of weeks. And I think that some that we've been better at, but, um, yeah, anytime you can't stay on the field right there, uh, it's not going to be good. Uh, yeah, it just didn't make enough plays early on. And, uh, you know, obviously, uh, put the defense in a tough position. Yeah. What a team. I can, uh, rack up the points like you guys so much, the pressure does that put on. You guys, uh, score almost every time. Yeah. I mean, I think, uh, like you said, they're a really good offense, um, but I think we're a really good offense too. So I don't think there's ever any pressure like that. Um, you know, I think we, we're, uh, offense that knows we're going to put up points. And, uh, obviously, like I said, it just was a slow start, uh, couldn't get going. And, uh, obviously it was down early, but, um, you know, turned it around and started hitting on some of those explosive plays, but, um, you know, I, I think we're right there with them as an explosive offense. So, uh, we're not worried about that. What did you see on that, my mom, uh, old guy play, uh, what were you trying to do, and what did you see on that, what did you see on that, what did you see on that? I didn't. So I was reading, uh, actually the opposite way, um, and Josh was on the checkdown. Uh, I think Christian and, uh, DB just ran into each other. You know, I'm not really sure I didn't see it, uh, didn't see a replay or anything. So, um, you know, I think they just ran into each other and I think the rest, uh, probably thought there, there was a pick going on, um, so that's what they called. But, uh, y'all was looking left side and came back and just saw Josh wide open. Yeah, no, the, I think Jay Reid was trying to slip by the backfield and, uh, I think he got caught up, ran into one of the O-liner D-lines. So, uh, you know, I just kind of progressed through the progression and got back to Josh, saw him wide open. You saw what they spotted in the playoffs though, um, if you're going to have to come back here, if you like your chances, or why do you like your chances, if there's a throw team back here in Mexico? Yeah, I mean, that's one thing that we just got to continue to take it a week at a time. Like we always talk about, um, obviously we got a couple games left here and, uh, you know, we're trying to finish on the right note and, uh, went out these last couple games and, uh, you know, handle business, take one game at a time and, obviously, uh, we'll see what happens, uh, post-season time. Hey, y'all. Can I start a note? What's going on? What's going on? Is this interrupt that? Or did you play well enough? Because it's a really good team and it doesn't hurt it, it doesn't hurt it, it doesn't hurt it. No, anytime, you know, you, you're winning a couple games and you lose, it's, it's going to, you know, disrupt that momentum. So, um, it's one of those things that it's, it's tough. You know, it's a little bit of adversity, um, but we've handled adversity, um, we've been here, um, had a tough loss early on a couple. So, um, it's not anything that we haven't seen before, you know, we'll, we'll stick together and we'll handle it like any other week, you know, we'll get back to the film room, uh, figure out what we've got to clean up and, um, find ways to get better, uh, to finish the season off. But, uh, obviously, like you said, anytime you're winning and, and, uh, take a, you know, a tough loss like this, it's, uh, it's going to disrupt momentum, but we've got to get back to the drawing board and get back to work. We'll see, uh, what's the same for them, uh, but after Thursday game, you only have a week instead of kind of a lot of days, whatever, um, how did you guys, uh, guys help and I hate them when you think they were going to be in the day, uh, when that was the end of the day? Yeah, no, I definitely think, uh, you know, these three days, uh, added days that we get, we'll definitely be huge for guys to be able to, uh, recover, get their bodies back. Obviously, it was, uh, uh, you know, a lot of games in a short period of time that we've played in the past couple of weeks. So, um, you know, a couple of guys got banged up tonight, so it'll definitely be huge to be able to get your bodies back, just rest and recover, um, almost like a mini-buy before we finish season off. Um, obviously, what's his hat is ups and downs and shit, we had a really good game period tonight, so it got hurt. What did he get? What do you think it's going to be for him to have, kind of, if they had to bring him? Yeah, I mean, it's, uh, for him, it's a, it's a confidence booster, you know, obviously we know what type of player wicks is and, and when he gets going, he's, uh, he's a really good receiver. And it's been one of those things where, um, we've just had to try to find ways to get him going and, uh, with Ron being out tonight, I think he stepped up and made some, some big-time plays, but, um, it'll be the same going for it, you know, we got a, we got a really good receiver room, time to receive room and, um, you know, if somebody's down, other people got to step up and, um, but I think, uh, it'll be good to be able to continue to get him going at the end of the season. Yeah, you know, uh, I think he did a good job bouncing back. Obviously, the fumble was a tough situation. We talk all week about, um, taking care of the ball. So, um, you know, it happens, it sucks and, uh, but like you said, it's all about how you respond and bounce back and, um, I think he did a great job and, uh, went out there and made some big-time plays for us, um, especially in that second half to, to start off with that, that deep ball, um, but, I mean, that's, that's the name of the game. That's what this team's got to be about is, um, when that diversity does happen and, uh, negative play or something doesn't go your way, you know, how are you going to respond and bounce back? We respond by saying happy birthday Jacob Cassane, one of the ninth birthday. Yeah, um, you know, they're playing to win, you know, they're, they're, they're, they're confident in their offense that they're going to be able to get a stop. I mean, get a, uh, you know, convert that fourth down and, um, you know, uh, obviously you, you'd like to be able to see the defense get a stop right there, get us a ball back and, um, you know, be able to go put up points or even go to overtime, but, uh, they're playing to win, obviously, um, when it works out for them, it, you know, it's good and, uh, you know, yeah, it's all I can say. Yeah, you know, we knew that, uh, especially offensively, um, it wasn't our best half and, uh, you know, we weren't extra than the level we wanted to and we didn't start fast enough. So, uh, the message just go out there, um, you know, we liked, we liked where we were at, um, and we just had to go make those plays, so, um, it wasn't like there was, they were doing anything that was really stopping us, I think we were just hurting ourselves and, and not executing. Uh, the message just go find a way to execute, make plays and, uh, continue to put up points because, uh, you know, it just didn't feel, feel good, you know, putting up seven points and, uh, having some of the woes that we had early, but, um, you know, guys responded. Yeah, well, I mean, I lost in the score of twenty-one, twenty-four and a second half against that defense. Was it safe, but what you guys could do here down the stretch? Yeah, like I said, I mean, I feel like we're a very good offense, a very explosive offense, and, um, you know, there's going to be games where you got to put up a lot of points and, uh, I think, you know, it just goes to show how, how dialed in, you got to be all game, how you got to be able to start fast, execute early on and, uh, you know, put up those points that weren't putting up in that first half. So, um, you know, second half, I like the way we responded, but, um, you know, it just wasn't good enough. Two more. I'll tell you something, it's a good environment, loud stadium, um, but, you know, uh, it's one of those things you just got to be able to communicate in the huddle, and I think guys did a good job. They stayed locked in, and, um, you know, obviously once you get out there, find a way to be loud. Yeah, so, uh, I think we had one, uh, fall start, um, and, uh, sucks, uh, I was called for things, yeah, he's going to find the fucking, uh, kind of block down the whole thing here. We want to give him a hook. Do you want to pull him? Yeah. I think we should cut this. Let's, let's get rid of this loser. But he's just, let's go and we'll never put him on again. That's the worst presser I've ever seen. The least interesting presser ever, uh, I was still waiting for Jared here to come up on to the podium. He had to do, um, what's it called? He had to do some, oh, he's just coming up now. Here we go. We got him. I'll get to do some time with the, with the Amazon crew. Let me do some quick stuff here while we get him ready, and here we are. CDC's first presser. He was the dumbest coach of the history of the NFL, amazing how much he's learned in three years and, uh, paid $10 so that we would read it the fifth time. He's on you. Thank you. Thank you. Our brother very much. So, um, sorry. Just doing some production. Thank you. Ash for covering for him here. Let's get, uh, Jared. Go up here. Let's go up. It's gone. Could not agree more. Oops. Here. Sorry. That was. Got the visual cue there. He's still out there. But, um, made it happen, made it work and, uh, David did the rest. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Real athletic to fall down on a routine handoff. But yeah, I'm glad we made it happen. You guys are going down, uh, aggressiveness and seeing down in the trademark and how, how it came out today. Yeah. And, and we came into this game knowing we were going to do it maybe a little bit more than usual. Um, Dan, Dan had mentioned that early in the week that, you know, he was going to really lean on our offense to make some things happen and certainly be aggressive on fourth down if the, if the opportunity presented itself and, um, there at the end, I know he was kind of in between on what he wanted to do and obviously made the right decision. David, was he really debating it with you guy with, you know, he was internally debating it. Was he? Yeah. And what faith does that show with you and, you know, everything that you are. It's bigger than anything. Yeah. Like that's like all you want from my coach is to believe in you and to, and that gives us that little extra home to want to make it happen and I'm not the one running or blocking, but I'm sure those guys up front say, all right, you know, you're giving it to us to make this game and finish this game off on our terms. And, uh, yeah, it means a, it means a ton. Yeah. It's a bit. It's been, you know, it's stepped up a bunch, but just, it's what you needed to ever see. Yeah. Today seems like his day down there, certainly in the red zone and, um, he, he's been so consistent since he got here as far as unselfish blocks does everything right and he hasn't gotten a touchdown. What a week are we in 14, 15, whatever it is, hasn't gotten a touchdown until the day. And, um, had two of them and he's a stud and, uh, I'm so happy he's on our team. Dance said that, uh, despite all the games that you've played that you would remember this one. Yeah. Me personally? Yeah. Yeah. But you think that's true. And it's a lot. Yeah. Um, circumstances around it, I think, yeah, you know, it's a division game. It's at home. It's prime time. Pull us early in the week. He was going to lean on the offense. You know, kind of, kind of challenged the offense really early in the week, challenged myself, challenged, you know, the, the guys on the offense, like, Hey, it's your turn to hold, hold your weight and carry the load and make this thing happen and make this thing go and, um, hold your, for me, that's like the greatest feeling ever. You know, you're like, all right, let's let's eff and go and let's make this thing happen. And, um, ultimately we got the win and then we played pretty well on offense. Has it gotten to the point where, when it's fourth, then you don't really think you're ever going off the field? No, no, no, I, I think he, he obviously plays that line, you know, of, of what he wants to do and, um, but certainly we're aggressive and that's kind of been our thing for, for a couple of years. And I think it does, it does, it does change the way teams have to prepare. They have to prepare for, you know, fourth down and fourth and short and have, have, you know, ideas of what they want to do and, um, I think he's done a really good job of deciding when to go and when not to go. And certainly because it worked, everyone's going to say, you guys are going to say, great call. And if it didn't work, you guys would be crushing him. And that's the game he plays and, um, that's why he's, he's the guy with the big stones and we trust him. He's like the comedians between you and everybody, just keep getting him. Just go ahead and trip your, trip your, I've, you've seen the intensity in this rivalry kind of evolved for the last half of the years. Yeah, I think, yeah, I, I, they're, listen, they're a great team. They are, they, they're a tough team and they're a really tough defense and they're a really tough offense. They're really well coached. They got a lot of good players. Um, and I think in the last two years, um, we've been able to beat them, you know, a handful of times in a row and that doesn't mean that, you know, we have like some sort of, uh, you know, magic over them. Like we've just been able to handle it. And I think that, you know, they're probably, um, frustrated about it and that's okay. And you know, we want to try to keep beating them, but, you know, you tip your cap there. It's a good team and, and so are we and, um, I'm glad these games have been very close and very entertaining and I'm glad we've won them. Yeah. Seize their goals. But what does it mean to class 5, or should we go? Yeah, I just heard that. Yeah, pretty cool. Um, certainly, yeah, not what we, what our ultimate goal is, you know, we want to win this division and got some work to do still, but, um, yeah, cool to know that we're, we're in the dance and, um, want to see where we're seated now. It's six guys. We've got your gadgets today. Yeah. Ties them in a bell record. Yeah, we have a lot of guys we can throw to and, um, you know, we got three tight ends. I feel comfortable throwing two. We got three or four, five receivers, one all healthy that I feel comfortable throwing to two running backs, which is rare that I feel comfortable throwing to him. Um, yeah, it was, it was a good day to day to all around and I feel a bit aggressive offensively and, um, it worked out, yeah, sure, I think those guys take pride in it and Scotty, their coach takes a lot of pride in it and, um, I care that much about protecting me and wanting to make sure that I'm taking care of back there, it means the world and, um, those guys are studs. I can't say enough good things about them and, um, I'm happy they're on our team and hold on. Last thing I got to talk about the defense real quick, what our defense did this week is tremendous. And I know the points, whatever they had guys out there that got here on Sunday, that we're playing and doing a great fact, um, they don't like credit that they're there and credit those freaking players for playing their tails off today. I mean, they, they went out there, they let it hang and, and played hard ball and made it hard on them. It was fun to watch. That's freaking sweet, Jared Goff. That's why that man's name gets chanted. Exactly. I know. Right now. That's not a lot of guys is like, just, he comes in and he just says, what is true? Like there is no effing way Jamal Adams should have been playing in this game in any normal rational situation. It just shouldn't be happening. Yep. But the lines just don't have guys. You know what I mean? These guys are coming in and linebackers who literally, I like, I know I wrote something up about them in the draft, but I couldn't tell you what it is because I've never heard anything about them again since like, like David Long. You know what I mean? Like, just, they really do a whole bunch came in. He played pretty well tonight. He had that one hit man that was, uh, yeah, I wasn't sure that receiver was getting up after that one. Beautiful thing is it was a perfectly legal hit. Yep. There was no head to head. There was no shoulder to head. Nothing dirty about it. It was just, just a beautiful. Jamal Adams. What was that other guy's name? Jamal Adams. Well, that's quite Alexander and Jonah Williams, all new faces on defense. I mean, freaking out. And again, uh, camp and out clan C, this is a real quarterback hyping up the D not blame him. We watched Jordan Love blame the D just now his little D and we watched, uh, Jared telepress to shut the F up and, and, and build those guys up on the defense, slap the podium and walk away. You can fit a hell of a defense in this baby slap and he walked off. That's, that's a, that's like a freaking man right there. That is a man. Absolutely. God. And there's going to be two different kinds of stories coming up for being reporters after that press conference. There are going to be, oh, the defense sucks and everything is terrible. And then there's going to be the ones who go, there's no way most of these guests should have even been on the field and they managed to put up a competent defense. Yeah. Like it like honestly, it's, it's a fake 31 points. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. Like it just, it really is like that they were set up to fail at various points. Like the, the, the golf pit was, was unfortunate. The, uh, going forward on fourth on your own, what was it, 30 yard line? Like it. Yeah. Yeah. When your defense is, is this, you know what I mean? You can't hand that to them like that. But like it said, Hey, new new defense gave up less points than he, than their NFL defense full of all pros, part of the pro ball voting. New new is funny. He keeps coming back. It's every, after winning two out of the last eight, say in the Packers own, you know, do you realize that if you really want our comeback, you're going to have to scrape your mom's tongue. And the fuck out of here, it'll lose her. Oh man. Whoa. I love it. And he stuck around this whole time. He's been here this whole time. I just put him in five minute time. Oh, it's, it's around waiting to come back in so we can talk and we can shoot him down again. You can see another ad. Bye. Thank you. You know what? He, I got him credit is more tenacity than the team of your roots for very true. Let's laugh. He has more toughest than that coach. Why don't, why don't we get to some calls here because the phones are going bananas. Let's get one in here. Yeah. What's your name and how much we had to drink so far and there's a beautiful, beautiful wind. Holy smokes. I'm cool for this shit. I feel every time we do one of these games. I'm going to be 50 on January 1st. I just spent Thanksgiving back in Detroit. I live in Arkansas now and I spend way too much money on NFL plus and all that other shit and just to watch a game. And I miss the Ash Thompson, like the early morning, I get up at like 5 30 and I'd watch his shows and hear him get all salty and talk shit. And it just made my mornings and I miss those. Bring them back. You know, like 300 other people do but yeah, I appreciate you guys, man. I watched basically two Detroit podcasts. I don't know how you guys feel about lions syndicate, but I love that guy too. But you guys are amazing. Although Chris, you have a whole bunch of real sexual innuando shit that you say all the time. It makes me cringe and like, but I still watch and I love you, man. I appreciate you guys. I expected a loss, you know what I mean? Just because of the whole defense thing, but holy smokes, man. I mean, Brad home, you know, I mean, just win after win after win. So thank you guys for doing this. That's really all I really wanted to get into. No problem. Thank you, brother for calling in and next time I see you, I'll be in your window. Yeah. It's actually only in my hand. I'm tired to your brother was, yeah, I can't help it, I can't help it. I'm sorry, I mean, it's, it's, it's the camp away. Be true to yourself. Be true to who you are. Hey color. You got the big win, you doing well? You feeling it? I'm doing great. How are you doing? I'm doing good. How much ready to drink? Tell me, tell me about your favorite part about this win. Just getting the win, you know, it was coming into this game. It was a game where confidence wasn't necessarily high and injuries were on everybody's mind. Like, will we be able to? I think a lot of people were girded and prepared, maybe not to pull a win out today. And then there's this lion's thing that's been, I mean, we've been doing this show for 10 years, right? This lion's thing that you get your hopes up and they're dashed and you're crushed yet again and you're afraid to do it. But this is one of those games where they did it, they pulled it all together, man. They did it again. Exactly, dude. The defense and all the injuries they've had me on edge for the last week, man, and this game coming up, I've been full of anxiety about it. A lot of that had been answered in Brad, we trust, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. Oh, 100%. And in the division, we cannot be less than 500 this year. We're guaranteed to be over 500 division. That's it's. And we've done cleanse. We've done cleanse. Play off. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Where you calling in from, man? North Carolina, man. I felt it. I felt that. I feel it. Oh, how long you been there? The long lines saying, dude, how did you, how did you, how did you fall into your lions fandom? Uh, when I was young enough to start watching football, we'd go on vacation every year with some family that I had in Michigan. And you know, just from that point, I just started watching the lions. Yeah. Yeah. And I fell in love. Nice. Nice. Nice. We're going to keep rolling. The phones are going bananas right now. And you want to say before we, uh, before we bounce? I just want to say, man, uh, Chris Nash both. I'm a huge fan. I listen every time y'all get on and y'all just keep doing what you're doing and gold lions detour it versus everybody. I appreciate you, brother. Thank you. Thank you, man. All right. Got the lions going. Let's keep out of here. The calls are hot, heavy. And let's see if we got some pillow talk. Hey, caller. You're feeling after a big win. Oh, I'm feeling great. This is, this is Scott from the Slack channel. Scott, how you doing, brother? How about you guys? I'm doing okay. I had to tell Simon to go back to bed before the, uh, kick. So I'm sorry, Simon. I didn't know no offense intended, but I was feeling pretty superstitious at the moment. More than just a little stiches. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Super duper stiches. What do you got for us, big guy? Well, I, uh, a couple of things. Uh, I wanted to call out Aaron Glenn first of all. I mean, that was an amazing performance, you know, points aside, like taking guys off the scrap heap and beating the pack is where that is amazing. Yeah. That's, uh, I, there's, this is an unstoppable team that just seems to be on a rail. It seems, it truly seems like destiny. I, I don't know how they keep doing it, but they just keep doing it. It's, I've never seen anything like this. I, it's got to be the coaching staff. I mean, they've been all together for about three years and it's just, they're incredible for them. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and, and say it again, Ash, shout out the, the bread homes. He, he's finding the guys and the coaches are, are, I mean, go ahead and take it. It's incredible. Like even like say, Tim Patrick, for example, you know what I mean, just dumped by the packers. We pull them in. We put them on the practice squad. Now he might be, you know, I don't know if I'm thinking he's actually a wide receiver too at this point, but he's making these clutch catches that nobody else on this team is going to make. You know what I mean? Like that's, then that's just, just one guy, then you got like, okay, let's go down the defensive list of people with tackles here. I'll cut in Muhammad, Miles Adams, Zederius Smith, again, that guy's three sacks of four games. It's a true line. What the hell, man? You know, Jamal Adams played today, that, that shouldn't be happening. Mitchell Lagoude is the guy I was thinking of, is he healed her with that crazy open field tackle? You know what I mean? It's this one tackle of the game. It's the only thing he did. And he drove Jordan Blum's head into the turf, a quant Alexander out there today, David Long Jr. You know, like Adam Conner, who's been kind of hovering around all season, but like he's in there getting pressures. You know what I mean? And like it just, when I win, a limbic meal puts up. Yeah, exactly. When a limbic meal puts up one assisted tackle and that's all he gets, you don't expect the Detroit Lions defensive line to have been having a particularly good day. And like I'm not saying that they did overall, like, but they, you look at the packs, rushing numbers, they're not better than Detroit's today. Like the Packers basically gave up, tried to run the ball, you know, like the Lions still had their 25, 26, 27, whatever it was, rushing attempts. What did the pack have today? Jacobs with 18, Jordan loved four manual Wilson and Chris Brooks, each with one. So, like, yeah, and nobody particularly successful, you know, like Jacob had the three T.D. So you got to give him that, you know, in the rent zone, he got the job done. But how can you feel good if your Packers spoke the same to you? Yeah. Um, somebody had posted a deflect that there were six different receivers on the Lions with five, five or more exceptions. Yeah. Let me, let me look like I got it. And I'm going to ride for like the almond Ross Emperor who's not one of them. Yep. You got this. Jima with five. Laporta with five. Patrick was six. And around with five Montgomery with five, Gibbs with six and poor Brock right out there blocking his ass off with not, but I'll take you guys on the road for a look at him with five right here and 543 8.6, um, we'll clarify that. We'll get to, we'll get the clarity on that. Yeah. And I just did the clarifying. I didn't want my last catch. I haven't refreshed since since the first down show being. Yeah. And you talk about the land of misfit toys, uh, if you, it's time for you kids to start to believe tomorrow, number six, Rudolph, the red nose, ring, dear, we'll replay on the 75th or 75, um, what is it? It's 1964 premiere. So what is that? 50, 50 years, some 60, 65, 70 years, 70 years, 70 years, it's a 75 minute broadcast. So it's a, it's a longer one. And the land of misfit toys is right there. Go there and honor your Detroit Lions. Watch that. That's a good one. Absolutely. Oh, man. I, I, I, I got to do in the stage, I'm sure it's, we're finally racist or something. But, you know, Tim Patrick and it was, sorry, go ahead, man. Yeah. Yeah. No, you had mentioned him Patrick and he was somebody when they brought him in. I, you know, there was a lot of, well, here's another cast off. He's been hurt for two years, but man, he, he looked really good with Denver before he started getting injured. I'm just so glad that he had him turn it out for the Lions. Someone else that was out there and everyone's talking about, let's talk about Campbell's talk about Campbell. Every time somebody broke a tab tackle, it seemed like Campbell was there to save it. The one thing about Campbell beyond his play, because he did seem to elevate today in the way he played the game, but not only did his play elevate his talk elevate, his swagger out there elevated. There was guys, and this is one of the things that I noticed about the Lions this time. The pack did not, the players did not like the talk from the line, even the floor was crying. Right. The Lions got into their head. Quite Walker's an easy one. Right. He's, you can get in his head in the heartbeat, but the, the Lions were in those plat packers, players heads. It wasn't, it was really fun to watch. It was really, really fun to watch. We talked about, um, when we won that last game, they went back to it and Lambo, the last game of season kept on out of the playoffs as a passing of the torch. This is the proof that that torch has been passed. Those roles have been absolutely reversed. And as those packers continue to flush down the bowl, the Lions are going to have a good hearty period of living in their heads and, and the tears and the, the officiating crying and all that, enjoy this folks, enjoy this. This was, this was fantastic, this, and it's going to be, it's going to be a nice long haul of fucking the packers. I can't wait. Oh, God, it's so nice for the shoe to be on the other foot. It really is, it really is, ah, it's, there, there's, there's, there's justice, man. That's what I, that's all I could say. There's justice. I didn't think there was justice and a lot of things, but I think eventually justice comes to everybody. All right, brother, we're going to, we're going to hit the, uh, the rest of the calls. Thank you for calling in man. I appreciate you. Hey, I appreciate you guys. Take care. All right. Thank you. We'll see. All right. He's, he better here. He's going off the hook. Hey color. What's that? What's the bad? Oh, how are you feeling tonight? He hasn't said anything since I talked about his mom. Sorry. Not you. Not you color. Never been better. Oh, you never been better? Awesome. I, I think tonight is the day that I've never been better. I'll take it. Man, it, it feels good, doesn't it? Oh, it's, it's, I feel like a million dollars. What? Um, go ahead. I actually just want to give you all an update from a place that is not for Michigan. I live in Denver, Colorado, and, uh, the Detroit Lions bar tonight was rocket. That's nice. It's a, for, for those that don't live in this city, uh, the, the Detroit one, Detroit Lions bar is this beautiful, disgusting, beautiful dive bar where it's like, you know, sticky floors, delicious, dirty burger, it's just, it's, it's, it's just like it's everything that you could ever hope for for a Lions bar. Right. Uh, but let's just say that we maxed out the, uh, maximum capacity by maybe three or four times. I'm not trying to get anyone in need of name brother. We need, we need the name. I actually wants to surf the menu. We're, we're, we're out of the lawns, but we're out of the lawns run here. So there you go. So there you go. Everyone listed in, in Denver, candlelight tavern is where you go to have a nice cold one, some excellent food and a good Lions bar to watch some games. There you go man. Oh man. They got the Lions jerseys right on the front of the website. You guys roll. Thanks for having me. Thank you brother. Appreciate you. And, uh, enjoy Denver. It's a beautiful place to live man. You're a lucky guy. Thank you very much. Have a good night off. All right. We'll see you. All right. There we go. It's got a jalapeno cheesecake, a jalapeno cream cheeseburger, hellant, 10 bucks chips. That's insane. Hey. How are you doing? How are you doing? How are you feeling? What's it? Take a win. Calling in from Virginia, I've been a Lions fan for 56 years, courtesy of my two older brothers who convinced me I wanted that little silver helmet out of the bubblegum machine. Well, they got a stealer and a Viking helmet. So I've been waiting for this for years. All right. All right. Revenge. Tour is yours. Man, it's my husband actually said to me tonight before he would have said, you're going to watch the game. He's like, because it's like, it's like a joke in my house that if I watch the game, they're going to lose. Oh, you know, enjoy all the injuries I was like afraid to watch. That's it. Well, you've shaken some demons tonight too, just like the team. Yeah. Yeah. First of all, be happier for them. It's awesome. Awesome. Oh, so what do you think? I mean, this this team, I mean, they just they seem like they're on a rail. They can't be stopped. Do you think do you think they do it all? I sure hope so. I thought last year was a year, but but maybe this year, every year, make me a little nervous, but they're so doesn't really matter, right? Yeah. And the NFC games they've got shouldn't be a problem, so I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. Get to say that. Oh, man, this feels good. Yeah, you know, yeah, it feels fantastic. All the Detroit fans out there finally finally getting their year. Yeah. Yeah. It's it's well-deserves. Oh, it's it's well-deserves. Sure. I mean, I remember very very vividly the Barry Sanders years where we were all wishing they'd put a team together to back him up, you know, and it just didn't happen. So, you know, then we had the Calvin Johnson and just, you know, my son's 27 and I remember the year he was born watching the Barry Sanders team up their plan and hoping that that was the year. Yeah. Yeah. And I think they finally got enough really great guys out there and they've got a coach that believes though, really a coach finds back on, really a coach finds back on and talked to him again. He's he's such a fantastic. Yeah. There's some good news. Yeah, I felt bad. I feel like he kind of got a bad rap. Yeah, you definitely did. You definitely did. I feel like almost I hate to say this now because they're actually doing something with the team. But I always felt like it was like a tax write off for the Ford family. Like they just didn't give an S. Yeah. Yeah. They do now. They do now. They feel it now. I'm glad to see it turn around for sure for real. Hey, we're going to let you go. We got the phones are burning up. We're going to keep going. Thank you for calling in. Thank you for listening. Go frickin lions. All right. Thanks. All right. You too. Bye bye. All right. There we go. There we are. All right. Let's get another one in here frosty cakes frosty was loudly cheering in a packer bar. I have no more room for emotions. I'm so exhausted. Lions got stops and turnovers with slackers on defense. I called the Tim Patrick Tutties, buddy. I put money on it. I got I got returns on those studies. They call her. What's your name? How much have you had to drink in this big victory Thursday? Hey, this is Austin and I only had one. Good. Good for you, Austin. I I'm it's a buddy up until my break and I've taken on a dry December. So I've had none. So I appreciate you. I'm with you brother. I'm just working for you know, there's only so much you can drink. Yeah. Yeah. I got you. What do you got for us, man? I'm using Thursday night here. So did we up there with the up there with the keen feel skit of a defense and still still holding it? That was awesome. Yeah. Yeah, those guys are great. Those guys are great. It's not the whole area. So what's your takeaway? What's your takeaway from this game, man? I mean, there's no reason for us not to get the number one seed now. I mean, even if we lose to the bills, we just have to win out after that. Number one seed loss, you know, so first round by would be great, you know, one more hearing week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um, yeah, this is this is good. This 10 days is it's perfectly it's perfectly time to come out of this with a win. And then have this time to heal is is exactly what this team needs. It'd be great to have a buy right now, but we'll take what we will take what we got, I guess. 10 days. 10 days. Yeah. We're going to do. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. What do you so what do you think we got 10 days? We got the the bills up after that it's going to be a tough match up. Hey, what do you think? How do you think we we do there? I think if, you know, if Josh Levi come back and branch in Kirby, you're still on the field, then we have a chance, you know, all four of those guys are still down. I don't don't really like the chance. I mean, that's basically no defense. Yeah. Yeah. It really does come down to who can do it. And I have to say the front seven very, very encouraging what we saw based on who we've got. I mean, at this point, it's almost a blessing at this point. I mean, no starters in the air on the defensive line and we're still doing good. I mean, logic logic looks awful, but everyone else still looks pretty good. Yeah. I'm hoping he makes a very fast spin. God, Broderick, please. Yeah. You just got a little bit, but yeah, with all these people, you know, they're getting playing time, so they should, you know, hopefully when the starters come back, they can get a couple of good, you know, naps and when the numbers called, you know, just in relief of the actual starters. Yeah. Steve always asking if we play Buffalo on the road. No, that's a, that's a Ford field game. I'll be there by his lines bench. Um, how many, uh, pretty home game, how many road game do we have left? Um, what is it? We have San Fran on the road, we have Chicago on the road, and I think everything else is at home. Minnesota is at home, um, Buffalo is at home. Yeah. Vikings. Vikings at home. Yeah. It's going to be a big one. This Buffalo game is big. This Buffalo game is going to be big. If we pull this Buffalo game out, I mean, we could, we could, we could, we get a disease of the single loss. I mean, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's doable. I don't want to go. I don't want to go too far ahead, but holy, holy baloney slices, man. All right, brother. We're going to let you go. Thank you. Thank you for calling it. All right. We'll talk to you. All right. Let's go. It's, uh, his phones are fricking lit tonight. Hey, caller. What's your name? How you feeling after the big victory? Okay. What's up, Chris? Is it dominant? Or down the bomb from California? Ah, how you doing, man? I think you're drinking. Nothing. For you. Nothing. In 23 years. Good for you. I'm allergic. I break out in handcuffs. Oh, no. That's good. My dog. That's beautiful. Oh, man. I wanted to say a couple of things first off, uh, fuck the Packers, um, and, uh, a hundred percent. Sorry, the kids, I can't keep the kids down, you know, they just do a thing. And, uh, I just wondered what your guys' thoughts were looking at the Darius Smith during this game and what it would be like to actually see him next to Hutch. Man, it just, um, gives me goosebumps, uh, thinking that, I mean, is that something that, I mean, I hope that we put him, we have him for next season, I believe, within the contracts. Right? Yeah. Yeah. Go for it. Ash is an object and cab master. Basically, they have to pick up his option next year to have him, but with the cap hits being what they are and him playing, like he's playing, if they don't give him a little bit longer deal based on how well he's playing in the scheme, uh, yeah, they do have him under contract for next year. And I mean, he's over 30, so they may very well not give him an extension, but yeah, they have him when next year, if they want, basically. Yeah. And just after watching Hutch and what he did in the first couple of games, get to seven and a half sacks, I just, he's got, I mean, I can't imagine what level he would reach with having somebody, you know, would, you know, just give me more, you know, 55% proficiency as a, as a somebody on the opposite side, man, it would just be so exciting. Yeah. Well, I mean, we saw it because like Davenport was in for a lot of that and yeah, it was just a thing of beauty watching literally anyone on the other side who was even halfway competent, benefiting from what Hutch was bringing to the table, you know, it's, uh, yeah, like this looks like next year, you know, you hate, it's weird talking about next year. Yeah. No, you didn't depress. You know, usually as Lions fans, if we're talking about next season in December, it's uh, because we're basically just waiting for this to end. Yeah. You're already talking about the draft in the senior bowl. You know what I mean? So many, for, for seven out of these 10 years, eight out of these 10 years, we were talking about the senior bowl at this time and the draft and everything else. And trying to find some reason to care. Now I mean, I don't want to say, I don't want to get too, too cocky, but I mean, we've clinched a playoff spot at this point, we're effectively playing meaningless games in December again, but for the other side of the, the other side of the, the curve, man. Yes. I don't know, you know, it was just phenomenal game man, you know, they're just taking care of business next man up, um, you know, mowing down whoever's in front of us. It doesn't matter where, you know, like Campbell says, we'll fucking take you on in, in the ocean and the garbage dump, three toes, one ass cheek man. It doesn't matter. It's nice to have a team to rally behind man. It's not the landfill, right? Yeah. Appreciate your, you know, you, you, you Chris and Ashman and all your whole team man. It's always nice having, you know, competent, you know, enjoyable lines, uh, uh, commentary to listen to after the game. So I really want to say thank you guys. I appreciate you. Uh, appreciate you, man. It's, it's, it's, we talked about, you know, we, we used to call these therapy sessions, you know what I mean? But it was therapy as much for us as it is for, for anybody else. And now we have these celebrations and it's, it's, I love celebrating with everyone. All you guys to call and listen and hang out. It's, I love it. I absolutely love doing this. This is, this is fantastic. Are you guys, I knew you guys coming out to the Niners game because I'll be there with my son, man. Oh, I love to give you guys a high five. I would love to. I'm doing the, the Buffalo game and that, that like scraped me pretty deep to get, to get there. So I'm also going to a wedding that weekend, some more to come on that, but, um, it's not mine. I'm already doing it again. All right, brother. Thank you guys. I appreciate your time. It's always me. Yeah. Thank you, man. Have a great night. Congratulations on a, on a big victory sleep. All tonight, bro. Yeah. We'll do it. All right. We'll see. All right. Keep going. They keep flying. We keep running. Okay. Color. What's your name? How you feeling after this big victory on a three night? That's, that's my ash. That's him. Who is this? This is buddy. This is Kevin. This is Kevin from Grand Rapids, Kevin from Grand Rapids. How are we doing brother? We're doing good. Baby. How are you guys doing? I'm feeling really good. I, I, I, to be honest, I think I'd probably have more fuel if I'd been drinking at this point. I'm a little bit snoozy, but it's okay. We got, we got it. We got, we got a big win. It's 5 a.m. I feel like I'm dying. I heard you say you hadn't drank since, I don't know when it was. I thought you were drinking your Mai Ties over there. What's going on? I was. I mean, Thanksgiving weekend was, it was pretty, it was a lot of fun, but my knees started hurting a little bit. I was like, ah, that's inflammation. I know that's wrong. So I figure I got two weeks until the break. I'll take two weeks off and kind of let myself go and get back to it. That's awesome. No, that's fair. That's fair. You just got to check every now and again, right? You got to just make sure because you don't want to be like our previous color breakout handcuffs. I'm on my 10th highlight tonight, so I do them one for you. Oh, I appreciate you. Will you shotgun one for me? They're bottles, but I'll do what I can. Okay. Okay. That's fine. I got two things I want to say quick, um, while I was waiting to call in, my, my wife was on TikTok and she said, honey, what is FTP? So I had the distinct pleasure of explaining what FTP is. That's fantastic. I don't know if anyone said this, but I just every time we play the Packers, I get this big brother, little brother sense from Campbell in La Floor where every time they show La Floor, he looks like he's about to cry on the sideline. And I just, I mean, I'm talking like home alone, buzz, Kevin McAllister. I mean, I feel like we could even go step brothers, you know, talking John C. Riley and Will Ferrell nuts on the drum set. And I just fucking love it so much where the DC pulls those nuts out and they just keep, they just keep showing La Floor looking up at the screen, looking everywhere like he's about to cry. And I'm just sittin' my highlights down, like bring it on, keep it comin'. And I just want to know, am I the only one who sees that? I mean, are you guys seeing this? You're the Leo DiCaprio mean pointin' at the TV. I suspect. God, I love this. I mean, every time I'm like, is this guy going to start breaking out in tears? What's going on here? I love the big brother count. I suspect it all comes back to like last year Aaron Rodgers was in Greed Bay when he had that famous quote, "If you can't lose to a team like that." And at the end of the year, in the final game, to not get in the playoffs for his last season in Greed Bay, they lost to a team like that again. And then basically, in the hallways, I forget which coaches it was, but there were some of the Lions coaches who were getting into an elevator basically yelling like, "Oh, I guess you can't lose to a team like that, can't you?" Flora went up to him and he was like, "Guys, that's really not professional." And they were like, "Your guy fucking said it." Yeah. Yeah. You can lose the- Mikey Smuts. That's a G can lose to a lot of life. Oh, I love it. Wait. Ash, did that actually happen? Because I don't remember that. That is a thing that actually happened after that game. Oh, my God. That is a factual story reader. Yup. I gotta hit the super chat really quick. Thank you, William Whiz, for that. A giant shout out to Dr. Leo, I'm always looking forward to his expertise, especially with the IR list. Dr. Leo is such a freaking great admin. I mean, I probably don't talk enough about Bishop Brown either because they do great job. But without Leo, man, my guy's got years of medical school under his belt and he's bringing it here for the podcast and for lions, why it's all the making dick jokes. He's such a fit. It's just- You know what funny? You know, I'm going to sound like an idiot here because I am a longtime listener of you guys. But I hadn't listened to a lot of his- Then you know that's what we do. That's what we do. That's what we do. Actually, like, on the staff. And then I'm listening to his last podcast and I'm like, "Hold on. This guy can't be like the medical director for the lions with all these jokes." He's a doctor. He's not their doctor. It's like the old- I'm a lawyer, but I'm not your lawyer, all right? I love that. I love that. Wait. You know, Chris Ash, I love both of you guys. This is my third time on. I'm going to keep calling in and keep enjoying this ride. But I just want to call in and just- I'm going to crack another highlight for you, Chris. Thank you, man. Yeah. No, I need another one. Yes, sir. All right. He's taking a call. I'm going to keep listening. All right. I need like three or four more. Okay. You got me covered? Yes, sir. I might call back. I might call back. I might have to more end. It looks like it might still be gone. All right, brother. We'll see you. That's fantastic, man. Now instead of me doing shots on the air, I'm going to get everybody out there drinking for me and be so smashed. Yes. Hey, caller. What's your name and how you feeling after a big Thursday night victory? Oh, I'm feeling real good. Pardon me? I'm feeling real good. Nice. Nice. What do you think? What was your favorite part of the game out there? My favorite part is when the rep's cheated, cheated a pack of the whole game. This is a good time. I can't hear you except the gargling of balls that you continue to do. This is you continuing to gargle balls and yet nobody can hear you. That's the best part. Tell your mom I said hi. You fucking loser. Hey, caller. What's your name and how you feeling? Caller to tune in Tokyo. Yes. Hello. Hey, how you doing? Hey, I'm good. How are you? Good, good, good. How do you feel after that big win? I am feeling fantastic. I was at the game. It was the best lines moment that I could imagine. I can hear myself, sorry. Just got to turn it down on your end. Is there an echo for you? No, no echo for me. You hear me sound great. Okay, sorry. I can hear myself. It's throwing me off. I went to the game and it was the best lines moment I've ever experienced. I went to the playoff game against the Bucks. Last season and that was the second best. This win and the fact that this is a win that was worth two wins. It was unbelievable. This is the ending. Winning by a field goal was just fantastic. Oh, it was. Absolutely. What do you think? I mean, obviously we have one person who's a little but hurt. But the guy that just called before you. He was. He was. Oh, I didn't hear him. Yeah. He could hear us, but nobody else. I could. I could make him go away. He just mumbled. Yeah. Yeah. The rubs gave you the game. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, man. All right. Well, what do you think? What do you think lines? The atmosphere. Everything was great. Yeah. Dude. So tell me about it. Like it was a close game the whole time. And Amazon did their damnedest to keep it quiet. What was the crowd level like in there? Oh, it was. It was unbelievable. You lost him. Go back. You can do this again. Hey, caller. What's your name? How are you feeling today? Hey, this is me here. McGonney. I'm here. How you do it? We're all about the doctors. We're all about the doctors. How are you doing, Doc? I'm doing. I'm doing good. It was a good game. I have to admit, I watched the first half and then my wife did the fitness instructors. I went to my bar, Bombay gym class, but in between all the routines. Well, I was dancing and exercising. I was watching the game. It's good. You got it all in. You got a win. You got a little bit of a little extra work. Keep yourself healthy and run in. That's good. Yeah. Yeah. I was watching my sizable portion of the game and a fire in my backyard. Yeah. Go ahead, Beard. Well, I think the thing I realized here is that, first of all, you can't trust resident. The second thing is that I think Campbell, the coach, he knows his players. You know, he's young analyst saying he shouldn't have gone on the fourth down or the survival. He knows the strength of the team on any given day. He makes the calls. He trusts the players more often than not. He's right. I think this is unique, I think, in the NFL. I don't think there's anyone like that. The other thing is, I think we just got to trust the whole operation, like top down. I mean, I really didn't feel like there was a good argument to say, hey, the Lions are going to win with so many people out. It's going to crumble at some point, but it hasn't. And I think that we got to just get credit words due to, you know, Brad Holmes and everyone else. I mean, it's amazing. And they're so fun to watch. It's great. They brought entertainment back, you know, not just expecting it. $4,000 to be a field goal. I mean, there's stuff to watch. There's excitement. Yeah. It's great for the NFL too. And it's a great show. Let me, I just really quick you went past that first point really quick. Can I just get you to repeat that one more time for me? Oh, yeah, I think, you know, I think one of the things I learned is that, you know, Campbell really. Oh, no, no, no. The one about Riz. The one about Riz. That's the one I want to make sure we. Always. And you can't trust Riz anymore. Oh, that's awesome. Riz said the lines. I just want to rub it in. Yeah. Yeah. You know, sometimes I think you got to really, I think, thinks too much with his brain. Sometimes I think you got to trust your heart. Right? I mean, that's what Campbell's all about. And just trust your heart. Don't don't think about it too much. Yeah. No, I cannot. I cannot give Riz a hard time for what his brain told him. And it was coming to this game with those injuries. It was, I mean, it's easy to be there, but this team, this team was too resilient. This team does not fold to traditional pressures. It's incredible. So I feel like. And I read any other. And I read any other. Or we even go from a make Robertson. Yeah. After the game. Yeah. I love all that topic. Okay. He said they try to be competitive, but you can tell they're not competitive. We the real dogs. When we go out there, we hunting, we ate the haunted. We know the real them. Great team, man. But I feel like it's a lot of pretenders. Wow. You can put it on the bulletin board if you're never going to have to play them again. Yeah. Well, I think with this win, I mean, I really feel the Lions are going to win out. They're going to win out. I mean, I think this is by far the toughest game. I mean, you know, clearly the bills are good, but you know, I mean, they have stuff to play for, but they're in the playoffs. They're coming, they're coming out here. I think we can win out. And I think with people coming back later with all the experience, all these people are getting from the practice squad. You know, people who weren't expected to play. I think we're in good shape. I think we could win at all. Yeah. Yeah. This is fantastic. Oh, I love it. I love being a Lions fan. I love what this team is doing. And, you know, I've talked about the Red Wings going, but it was like 43 years before they finally were able to get the cup. And the weight that literally felt lifted off the shoulders. This is something that this is going to be so great for the city and for so many people that have suffered for so long. This is this is absolutely fantastic. This is well deserved for a great bunch of guys and a great organization that knows how to run things. Yeah. All right, I'm here. Stay in touch. All right. I have an email from you and I know I have to get back to it. I am absolutely ass at that right now. I'm in traveling so much, man. It's been horrible to try to do it. If you guys. I'm going to the 49ers game. 49ers Lions games. You guys are coming out. Let me know. I'm not I'm going to be at the Buffalo game before that, but maybe we'll figure something out soon. I promise. Maybe in the off season together. All right, brother. Good night. All right. All right. We can try good to Canada. He said he's so awesome, man. He's like a genuine the beyond just the show. He's just a really, really good person. Just really a person. All right. Hey, what's your name? How much have you had to drink thus far? Hey, Chris. Yes. How you doing? This is Tim here in Atlanta. We have got a real Atlanta contingent. I got to tell you how are you doing, Tim? How are you feeling with? It's a little late. We had this victory so much. I don't want to diss their airport. I spent 30 hours there during the crowd strike thing. I know every inch of that thing. Sorry, color. Go ahead. We don't want to take each side. No, that's great. But now we're known as Motown South here, but great game tonight. But I do have a couple of comments regarding the game. Yeah, really. I'm regarding Campbell's calling on the fourth gowns. Yep. First one I cringed, not in terms of making the call at the time, but just the type of play that he called. Yeah. Yeah. So this second after that we went down the field on the first drive scored and then Packers made the adjustment defense, we should have went. No, I don't keep them off the balance. Yeah. Second and third drives. That would have been really sweet. Yeah. I do have a nickname. I think it'd be an open forum for you guys for the defense in terms of D letter D assembly line. Oh, yeah. Okay. You're not going to go with these notes. You go D assembly line. Okay. I'm good with that. Yeah. That's one right there. We're in terms of the no name something with the D no name. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know name? But as I'm talking about both of you and post game here and more, if you look at hotels here in New Orleans. Pretty crazy right now. But this is. That's. My brother texted me this afternoon. He said, I think I'm going to go in on. I'm going to get Super Bowl tickets and. And I was like, you're going to be able to sell them as as it gets closer because. Yeah. And I was like, but I don't think you're going to need to. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm glad you're to do it. Yeah. And this would be. I don't want to go. I want the lines to win a Super Bowl before I go to a line Super Bowl as much as being there for the victory would be something special. I'm. I know I'm going to be an absolute disaster. Like, I'm going to be a. I mean, like tonight, my heart was in my throat for a bunch of the game. And I was like clutching my chest, waiting to have to call a EMS or whatever. You know what I mean? There's no way I want to be able to handle a Super Bowl without a unit or whatever they're called because it's just it's. This is one of those things, man. That's one of those things. Definitely just kind of enjoy the moment, man. One game at a time by looking forward to the next four games here and the playoffs. And it's just great that we got. You know, we can arrest some guys here in the next 10 days and just keep moving forward. But keep up the great work. You guys do a great job. They're loveless to the podcast here in the south. Appreciate you. I appreciate you. And I think, you know, if there is a Super Bowl, we'll probably do a live. We will do a live show kind of event thing. But the Super Bowl, so a bunch of us can get together and suffer as a group and then maybe celebrate as a group and have that kind of fun and be able to be a hell of a lot cheaper than going to New Orleans. Yeah, that ticket. And Indianapolis is a much better place to fight than we get. Absolutely. All right, brother. Thank you for calling in. I appreciate you. Have a great night. Enjoy guys. All right. We'll see you. Yeah. I'm certain the lions were going to bring out a a flea flicker, just a stunt on Green Bay after theirs failed. Oh, God, that would be great. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Collar. What's your name? How you feeling tonight? Hey, it's job and text. I feel amazing. Oh, I didn't see, I didn't see your baby mama there tonight. No, she hasn't been involved last week, I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe you can call her, have her show up. I mean, I know that's not usually what we're looking for. But in this case, maybe we can get her to show up with a couple more games. I mean, we got 10 days to figure it out. Yeah. Okay. Okay. How you feeling, man? How you feeling about this win? I feel so good. And can anyone tell me when the last time that we gave up a hundred yards to a running back was it hasn't happened again this week? Wow. I can't remember. Yeah. I can't recall. I honestly cannot recall who we gave a hundred yards up to. If I look here, I mean, the Packers gave up a hundred yards to our committee, but none of them specifically got a hundred yards. God, yeah, I don't know, because Jacob's got 66 yards and three touchdowns. And that tells me, even though our defense is hurt. Not giving up big plays in the run game. And his his, I don't have the numbers in front of you, but I saw it earlier, his average this time against this land of misfit toys defense was lower than the last time we played. Like we held him to a far less average per run this time. It's incredible, incredible to see, incredible to see this team and this defense pull this together like this. I have, I have no idea what the heck I'm looking at. This is again, this feels like it's destiny. It feels like destiny. This is, this is enough with one ask, he can three toes and we're still doing it. Damn right. I will beat your ass. And we will and he will and he did just in case anyone's afraid of AI taking their job. Moving to Google's AI, the last time the lines allowed a 100 yard rusher was Thanksgiving Day in 2013. Well, I think it's Reggie Bush and none of that is true. I was certain it would tell us it was George Washington. Oh, man, I was not going to do it. I got some other ones in my man, you know, depending on the job, I don't open any eyes, got 12 days of Christmas or whatever they're calling 12 days of AI or something going on right now. They just released a new model. Wonder if how quickly it's been trained up. Let's see. Last 100 yard rusher against the lions. Oh, you know, who's going to do it? I know what'll do it. Rock will absolutely do it because it's it updates all the time. Rock is the one that continues to train. Mm. I want to get this. That's all right. I'm focused on this now. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, absolutely not. All right, let's see who they let's see what Grock has to say last 100 yard rusher against the Detroit Lions. They're all dumb. Do you hear Gibbs? No, not for a lot against maybe a practice. I have to be great Grock. That's my archery against the Detroit Lions was carry on Johnson with look, it just doesn't exist. Obviously there hasn't been a hundred yard rusher in any. In perceivable history against this against this team, it's been so long, even the data they're using doesn't have any more. I just would like to bring up one fact that somebody posted on Twitter and Reddit. The Lions can drop any one game from here on out and secure the one seed. It's not doesn't matter which one anyone game. We had the tie breakers over Minnesota, 100% and Philadelphia. Yeah. Okay. Man. Oh, man. Oh, man. And we've had a few guys get into the 90s this year, but I'm having trouble finding a hundred. Yeah. I don't think we'd be enough one that's here. That very well could be that very well could be. Do we want to hear the? Oh, I don't have the whole thing. I was going to say, do we want to hear the locker room, then we'll save that. We'll do something with that later. All right. Well, there it is. We will look Jacobs 95 game yards a first game that gave me my memory, big guts fall out. It's have to reason I'm here. No, I'm sleeping for a couple hours after that left second win. Yeah. Last time. Oh, wait, where to go? It was right here. The last time the Lions gave up a hundred plus yards and opposing running backwards December 24th, 2022. Do not look up this game. Okay. Well, thanks. Oh, man, that almost to calendar year. It's crazy. It's crazy. I'm going to over 93 times to a guy this year, though, but not 100 nine and one in prime time. Yep. It's December 24th, 2022. God. That's for a man. There you go. Man, I keep putting money on branch and Terry on and Kirby getting a pick six, not a lot. Just a little bit because it returns so big because I know eventually this year I'm going to hit one. It's going to pay for the whole year's bets. I should have started early because they would have been able to funded the bets for the rest of the year. But dang it. I will get my baby Milana for you. Thank you, sir. Thank you for your service. Thank you for her service. I think that's the 15th time I've said that today. All right, brother, we will talk to you later. Thank you for calling in man. Redder coming. Yeah. Stay good in Texas, bro. Oh, man, let's see what we get here. Hey, caller, what's your name? How you feeling in this big victory? Friday. It's Matt, formerly from Seattle now in Minneapolis. Man. I've had nothing to drink. Did you hear yourself at the beginning of the show? No, we had a fuck the Packers song. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Fingers tonight. Yeah. Yeah. We played the first one. It was fantastic. I think we'll end on that, too. Indeed. Will we do it? You better be our closer for every podcast for the rest of the year, myself, but you know, whatever. I can write. There's plenty more where that came from. We get bring it. You bring me a weekly one as long as it's a win. We'll do it. Except next week. I'll repeat it. Next week. I don't know why the hell I moved. I don't know why the hell I moved from no winter, really, or at least not cold winter to cold winter to Mars and be you. You moved to Mars, bro. I did. So what do you got for us, man? Besides, we get better new Google accounts. So I've been really getting disturbed by how the media doesn't really give the lines a lot of credit. It's like everybody recognized they're an exceptional team, but they didn't really dive deep on. They're like, yeah, they're really good. They're the best team. And then they don't, but they like suck everyone else's metaphorical dick to the end of the degree and then talk about how great the other teams are, but they don't really analyze the depth of the lions. And that's really starting to get on my nerves. I feel you. I feel, you know, I think there's a little bit to that where that gives us the, that little bit of the underdog feel still. I don't know if the Detroit Lions, I don't, and I say this, Campbell will know how to make it work. I just don't know if they do as well with, um, as a, as a favorite. You know what I mean? And as they do as an underdog, and I think once they earn it and we take that, that kind of love, I think that'll be, that'll be all right. Okay, that's fair. But I, I, I don't need it. I don't need them stay, stay, stay like it is, say it, you know, just let it run. Let it run. We're too fine. Don't, the, the less respect these guys get, the harder they're going to play in the meaner. They're going to play. Yeah. I don't really want anything to change because they keep winning and it's amazing and it's so enjoyable and it's so incredible to hear people whine that Packers fan freaking clown. Oh my God. Right. And the whole nose, Hong Kong. Oh, God, yeah, we got so much as waiting for, I was waiting for someone like that to show up. God, it's been years. It has been. Oh, well, all right, Matt, we're going to go. We're going to, we're going to get going. We got like one or two more callers in us and then we're going to call it a night as we rock the roll. All right. Thank you, man. Appreciate you. Be good. They warm. All right. There we go. Matt. With our theme song for the evening, so we got going, Hey, caller, what's your name? How much we drink? How you feeling? After a detour lines victory over the trash as Packers. How are you doing, big guy? I've been from Grand Rapids, baby. I told you I was going to call you back. We're still awake. I don't know why. Why does anyone still talking? You're doing a pretty good job. I feel a little bit like I got to take a pee. Can you take care of that for me too? I'm on my 12th highlight and I saw you guys were still on. I'm feeding my little boy here and I just wanted to say one thing though, because I didn't know if you guys had talked about big O'Connor. Have you guys talked about O'Connor yet tonight? We haven't. But just one cautionary tale. Make sure you give the boy the right bottle. But go ahead. Let's talk about it. I got her. Chris, I got a newborn at home. I'm a first-time father. All right. I'm raising them the right way. Good. Even FTP guy all the way. That's awesome. No. No, I just love the way he played today and I don't know if you guys are right. There was one play they showed where he got double-teamed at the line and then the running back came in to block him too and I'm like, "God damn. We had every guy out you can think of and O'Connor's out here showing out." I don't know. Ash has got a lot of background and a lot of these guys. I just wanted to know if you guys had talked about O'Connor and I wanted to hear what you guys had to say about him. We haven't. Are you watching? Can you see your screen? No. Honestly. We fit the point where we're playing guys that I don't really know them very well. To be perfectly honest with you. Kevin, can you see your screen? Can you see your TV screen? Or your YouTube screen? No. Right now I have Jeopardy on. I don't have your screen. Okay. I'm going to put a picture up just to show you what being a good dad looks like. Can you have a second and I can put it on? Okay. Go ahead. Go ahead. Go ahead. Get it on. There's a picture of me and my boy. That's a young fella. That's a young fella. Okay. Okay. I see that now. That's good, Chris. I like that. Being a first-time father, his hard work, sometimes you make mistakes but they're resilient little ones. Well, send your email out one more time and I'll send you a pic of me and my little one because you guys will like it. Chris, it's droidlinespodcast.com. It's easy. No, I appreciate that. No. But I'll let you guys go. I want to call back in to get back on the air, but I want to let you guys talk about O'Connor for a sec. Whatever intel you can scratch up there, Ash. I want to hear about my guy, Pat O'Connor, because he played a great game showing out for us. Yeah. For real. All right, brother. Thanks for checking in, Kevin. All right, brother. Appreciate you, man. Yep, yep, yep. I'm out, guys. I'm out. You guys get some sleep, all right? Yeah. Well, we will. All right. Thank you. You too. Just keep calling right. We're going to have a chat. It's unbelievable. Thanks for the engagement, idiots. Just keep tweaking that algorithm for us. Yeah. Yeah. I got one more for what was his name, new, new something like that. I just want to play this one more time. It's 30 seconds of bliss from Matt. He brought it. This is definitely going to make Billboard's Top 20 next go around, check this out. Hey, lions, it's time to fuck the Packers. Hey, lions, stick it in their butts so when you're fucking the Packers, don't be gentle. Don't treat them nice because you know you got to fuck the Packers. There you go. The theme song to fuck the Packers. It's a beautiful one. Love that one. It's fantastic. Thank you, Matt. I absolutely love it. Perfect. Perfect one for today. And we'll call that a show. Detroit Lions Post Game Show: Breaking Down Game 13 vs. Green Bay Packers
The Detroit Lions took center stage for Thursday Night Football, hosting their divisional rival, the Green Bay Packers, in a highly anticipated NFC North clash. With playoff implications for both teams, this game was set to deliver high-stakes action. In our post-game show, we’ll analyze the game’s critical moments, dissect key match-ups, and take live calls from fans eager to share their reactions.
Did the Lions’ Defense Contain Jordan Love?
One of the biggest questions heading into this game was how Detroit’s defense would fare against a surging Jordan Love. The Packers' quarterback has been in excellent form, with Green Bay averaging over 30 points in recent weeks. Did the Lions’ defensive line, led by Za’Darius Smith and Alim McNeill, find ways to pressure Love, or did Green Bay’s top-rated pass protection keep him upright?
Detroit’s secondary, missing key players like Carlton Davis, faced the challenge of limiting Love’s deep shots and minimizing the impact of Packers' wide receiver Christian Watson. Listener calls will likely highlight Aaron Glenn’s defensive strategy and whether the Lions forced turnovers, a crucial factor against a Packers team that thrives on protecting the football.
Could Detroit Dominate in the Red Zone?
The Lions have excelled in the red zone this season, ranking among the NFL’s most efficient teams. Did that success continue under the bright lights of Ford Field? On the flip side, the Packers entered this matchup as a much-improved red zone offense.
Fans tuning into the post-game show may share their thoughts on whether Detroit’s offense maintained its precision, turning trips inside the 20 into touchdowns. Was Jared Goff able to connect with key targets like Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta, or did the Packers’ defense hold its ground?
Join the Conversation
As always, our post-game show invites fans to call in and share their takes on the game’s turning points. Did the Lions’ relentless rushing attack with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs control the pace of the game? Did Detroit’s defense rattle Love enough to disrupt Green Bay’s offense?
Whether it’s celebrating another step in the Lions’ march toward NFC supremacy or dissecting lessons learned, this episode promises to be a must-listen for Lions Nation. Join us as we break down all the action, take your calls, and preview what’s next for Detroit in this thrilling NFL season.
