I mentioned going to break that there are a couple wide receivers from Kentucky who have hit the transfer portal. One of them, a guy by the name of Dane Key, has been pretty darn good for the Wildcats over the years. He's played three years in Lexington. And just last year he was the Wildcats leading receiver. He ends up with 47 catches for 715 yards. And two of them went for touchdowns. The year before that 42 catches 636 yards and six tuddies as a freshman 37 for 519 and six touchdowns as well. Bigger body guy, 6 foot 3 210 pounder. Definitely a guy in Nebraska could stick on the outside sort of a Jamal Bank's replacement potentially would be a big get. I think for Nebraska to bring bring a proven commodity like that in looking for a place where you can grow a rewarding career. Look no further. I think that would be a good ad for Nebraska. Potentially more exciting. More of an X factor, I think, than a glue guy for this offense and specifically for special teams would be a player by the name of Barian Brown, B-A-R-I-O-N Brown. He's 61, 182, can play a little bit of receiver outside, can play inside a little bit. Over the course of his career, he has 11 touchdown catches as well as two touchdown runs. But that's not really where he shines. He has taken over the role of return specialist for Kentucky and the numbers bear that out. This last year, Kentucky 19 kick returns for 450 yards, an average of 23.6 yards per return. He did take one back 99 yards to the house. Also returned a punt for six yards, 2023. He burst on the scene, 16 kick returns for 575 yards and even 36 yards per return. Three of them for touchdowns. He also had three punt returns for 51 total yards. And then in 2022, another 16 kick returns for 440 yards. That's 27 and a half yards per return with one kick off touchdown. Also seven punt returns for 28 yards. I think Dane Key would be a boost to the offense, right? Mr. Reliable, a target on the outside for Dylan Riola. Barry and Brown, I would be curious to see if that's a guy that gives Nebraska a look. Will Nebraska need another receiver? You never turned down help at the skill positions, especially with Nebraska's track record. And especially with a guy like to Kel Shorts, who has a relationship with both of these guys. I would tell you, I would like Nebraska's chances, maybe a little bit better with Dane Key. I think that he could play his way into some NFL draft conversations with a good year with Dylan Riola. And I think he would give Nebraska more consideration than a guy like Barry and Brown. Maybe I'm just talking out of my butt here and you've heard other information. But as I look at it, Nebraska would be excited about adding Barry and Brown for the return element he could bring to the team. But if you're Barry and Brown, would you feel confident that Nebraska would scheme properly for you to have the same opportunities you did it? Kentucky, think about Mark Stoops, right? That's a guy in the the Youngstown, Ohio tradition, right? There's some Iowa with Mark Stoops going on as well. That's solid defense and that's good special teams. Nebraska hasn't had that in the return game, right? So as much as Nebraska might need a Barry and Brown type to juice up the return game a little bit, I don't think it would be a slam dunk conclusion that just because his receiver coach came to Nebraska, that Barry and Brown would necessarily feel obligated to follow because obviously returning a kick for a touchdown, one guy gets credit for the tuddy, but it's a unit based thing, right? I don't know if I would feel comfortable in his shoes of trusting Nebraska to consistently find ways to get him the ball and kick return and find ways to spring him loose. Maybe the runner makes the kick return scheme, but I think in a lot of cases the kick return scheme makes the runner Mark Stoops in Kentucky have been really good at that with Barry and Brown, and I'm sure his individual talent has certainly made that easier for him. It'll be curious to watch to monitor, to follow because I think both of them. How do you feel when you switch to Geico and save on your car insurance?
