It's the latest initiative coming out of the World Health Organization, the WHO. And it's being touted as an effort to draw up rules around who does what in the event of another worldwide pandemic. But it's more and more information about the agreement comes to the surface, as you may have guessed. More and more populations around the world want nothing to do with it. The major concern here involves what's called Article 13a in the pandemic treaty. And here's what the article states, quote, "States parties recognize the WHO as the guidance and coordinating authority of international public health response during public health emergency and international concern and undertake to follow the WHO's recommendations in their international public health response." Now, obviously, the concern here is the surrendering of national sovereignty and how best to respond to a pandemic. Now, countries would be forced to follow the rules of recommendations as decided by the unelected bureaucrats at the WHO. Moreover, the treaty includes things like the right of the WHO to not only mandate vaccines and vaccine procedures, but also who can access all kinds of alternative antiviral drugs, as well as mandate, what can actually publicly be said, the information that could be allowed to be disseminated regarding the vaccines and the drugs. Here's Brett Weinstein's assessment of the treaty on a recent Tucker episode. So you're saying that an international health organization could just end the First Amendment in the United States? Yes, and in fact, as much as this sounds, I know that it sounds preposterous, but-- It does not sound preposterous. The ability to do it is currently under discussion at the international level. And it's almost impossible to exaggerate how troubling what is being discussed is. In fact, I think it is fair to say that we are in the middle of a coup, that we are actually facing the elimination of our national and our personal sovereignty, and that that is the purpose of what is being constructed, that it has been written in such a way that your eyes are supposed to glaze over as you attempt to sort out what is under discussion. And if you do that, then come May of this year, your nation is almost certain to sign on to an agreement that in some utterly vaguely described future circumstance, a public health emergency, which the Director General of the World Health Organization has total liberty to define in any way that he sees fit. In other words, nothing prevents climate change from being declared a public health emergency that would trigger the provisions of these modifications, and in the case that some emergency, or some pretense of an emergency, shows up, the provisions that would kick in are beyond John Dropper. Now, the good news in all of this is that there is a massive uprising going on all over the world against this planned pandemic treaty such that, over the last few weeks, a number of reports have been coming out revealing that the treaty is actually on the verge of collapse. Nation after nation after nation reportedly started to back away from signing the treaty due to the mass resistance politicians were getting from their citizens. So for example, last week, tens of thousands of protesters came out in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo to protest the WHO treaty. Japanese media's reporting that was actually a stunning demonstration came from all over Japan, from the southernmost island of Okinawa, to the northernmost island of Hokkaido. They were expecting only a few thousands show up, but as you can see, the turnout was absolutely enormous. Tens of thousands of protesters carried banners saying down with the pandemic treaty, don't force the vaccines on us, don't let the WHO bully us, and show us what the treaty really says. And here at home, even our otherwise death politicians are appear to be getting the message. But one of the key failures that happened very early on in 2019, Taiwan, Taiwan raised the specter that COVID could be dangerous to the world. The World Health Organization ignored them. And they went so far as to continue to carry the water of communist China while not heating those warnings. So we need accountability by our bureaucracy, our healthcare bureaucracy here in Washington, D.C. But we also need accountability to the American people with world organizations like the World Health Organization that the Biden administration wants us to get entangled with even deeper. I've introduced a bill, H.R. 1425, no WHO pandemic preparedness treaty without Senate approval. I am so pleased to author that bill with my home state senator, Senator Johnson, who has been one of the leading advocates for accountability by our healthcare bureaucracy. Let's get this treaty. Let's treat this agreement that the Biden administration wants to do as a treaty and have a vote before the United States Senate. And it gets even better. This worldwide opposition against the WHO's pandemic treaty is growing so massive that we're now getting reports that the WHO is actually backing down. The independent Swedish journalist, Peter Immanuelson, is reporting that the latest draft of the treaty has removed some of their more draconian rules such as making the treaty non-binding, which means that the countries now will keep their national sovereignty rather than hand it over to a bunch of unelected World Health Organization bureaucrats. Oh, and that controversial article 13A that appears to mandate the loss of national sovereignty and dealing with the pandemic, it's gone. It's apparently gone from the latest draft. It's been removed from the latest version of the treaty. And according to Immanuelson's reporting, they're even backing down from their insistence on censoring with the WHO considers, quote, "misinformation." So amazingly, it does look like the WHO is actually getting the message. They really do appear to be backing down. Now, of course, we need to remain vigilant. But when all is said and done, you're the one making more of a difference than you could have ever imagined. You're standing up, you're making your voice heard, talking through social media, spreading awareness. You are making a difference.
