[MUSIC] Hello. Hello. How are you going? How are you doing? What are you doing, baby? You know that banger would be by now, right? You know that is the intro of the theme song. Just the sound of the college football function. You know the voice by now, right? It is CM Funk, AKA CM the cause. AKA that dude, AKA Mr. Perfect. AKA Mr. Studio Girl. Mr. Asshole, Mr. FB, Mr. DB. Mr. A lot of names. I got a lot of AKA's that would probably take a whole episode. To just let you guys know some of the names and things I have been called. Probably within the last week for sure, but I'm here, of course, to drop another episode of the college football function, another little draft style episode, not doing prospects. Because I'm done with that. I'm done with the draft talk. I am going to do my last little mock draft. And it's going to be a little bit, I'm doing a little different. This and I got to give a shout out. I really do. I have to give a shout out to Mr. Sean old, Mr. Sean Zamora, a devout follower of the football function. Of course, my cousin, Angela Fons older brother, my brother. Seriously, he really is. He's more of a brother than he is my cousin. The one of the rocks of the family, just literally one of the best people I've ever met. And I'm so happy because he's my cousin. So a lot of people can't say that. You know, a lot of people aren't that close to their family. And don't talk to their family enough. Don't hang out with their family enough. Don't get me wrong. I don't see my family as much as I'd like to. But you know, living on, you know, different sides of the state, you know, sometimes out of state as well. But you learn to appreciate your family. You try to talk to them as best as you can and talk to them as much as you can. And Sean kind of threw me a little bit out of an idea. And he said, you know, a lot of people do, you know, mock drafts for round one. And, you know, I'd love to see a deeper mock draft, you know, maybe round two. Not going to say I'm doing that exactly like he said. This episode, you know, I might, if I have some time, you know, coming up because draft is coming up. This is actually one of my last episodes going into the draft. It's in single digits. You know, like I said, I'm not going to say what date it is because I'm sitting in these episodes, sometimes multiple, you know, episodes on a flash drive that I send to Mike that he gets published. And he just kind of publishes it and, you know, gets it up on Patreon and Spotify and Apple and Google and all these other sites that, you know, have our show on. So I know I haven't said the date of when I'm recording this because, like I said, I don't know when it's going to get published. I put that in Mike's hands. All I can do is just give him the content, you know, give him hopefully quality content for you guys to listen to. And he will put it out accordingly based on, of course, Grim says Grim schedule, you know, him in a Terry schedule and, of course, mine as well. So I, like I said, draft is coming. This was my last episode. I will probably do one later this week, I will say, because draft is right around the corner. And like I said, I, by this time you've listened to this, you have known all about every single person that's going to hear their name day one. The best thing about mock drafts is is I can only do so much. I can only give you so much content, so many players to pay attention to everybody knows who's going to get drafted. It's just when, right? And the thing with draft is something that even the pro people, you know, even these guys that are getting paid from certain networks, they can't forecast trades because I've said this before, and one of my last episodes was who could have seen the Houston Texans, you know, drafting CJ's job, turn around, putting something together literally in minutes and going and picking back to back and getting their defense a player that they wanted their next pick. We can't forecast that. Nobody can forecast that. There's always rumblings going into draft week of teams that might want to move up, teams might want to move back, so on and so forth. But the whole point of mock drafts and doing prospect discussions, ranking these guys doing fits, so on and so forth, what these guys would fit, what situation, what scheme they would fit is to put this stuff out there for you guys. So when you watch the draft this coming up week, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, you know, all through, it's so you can look at this draft board, you can look at all these names and go, man, I remember seeing him talking about that guy, or I remember Terry talking about this guy. I remember Mike wasn't as high on this guy. It's all, like I said, it's all in the eye of the beholder. I'm higher on guys than Mike is. Mike's higher on guys than I am. It is just literally the eye of the beholder. I know Mike likes to go into prospect discussion, prospect looks, and he bases all that on the Atlanta Falcons, same thing with Terry Minifill. You like to think about your team and go, man, that guy would fit our scheme, or that guy wouldn't fit our scheme. That guy is more of a left tackle than a right tackle, so on and so forth. So much goes into draft process that it's a little exhausting at times, but at the same time, it's very exhilarating at times, too, because you just don't know where these chips are going to fall, where are these players going to end up. It's just one of those great things about the NFL draft is, of course, you know the players. You just don't know where they're going, and at what time? Everybody knows Aaron Rodgers dropped in his draft class. Certain players didn't even get drafted, and they end up being all famous. The draft is such a beautiful chaos, you know, is the best way to describe the draft, because you can be prepared for it all you want, but in the end, you don't know what's going to happen. You really don't, and we can only do so much, but I feel like I think we have done our due diligence in putting out so much stuff, mock drafts, prospect discussions, who we like, or we don't like so on and so forth, to where at least the first day, maybe the second day, a lot of you people out there can appreciate it, and at least you have some sort of idea about that player, and where they come from, you know, what were their characteristics, what were their weaknesses, so on and so forth, and you can judge your team based on, of course, their draft. So, what I'm going to do today, this is my last little mock draft, and I'm not going to go into complete depth with one through 32. What I want to do is touch every single team. There are three teams now that aren't drafting in the first round. Of course, my Carolina Panthers, we screwed up, we did all this work last year, 2023, to move up, you know, to draft Rysh Young, you know, hindsight is 2020, if we had a bad year, technically, we would have had the first round, you know, the first overall pick in this 2024 draft, but we traded those rights away to Chicago, Chicago gets two, you know, top 10 picks, they're going to get better. So we're just going to kind of go through one through 32, just kind of ballpark estimate what these guys are looking at, what they're going to do, and I'm going to do a little draft for Carolina, Cleveland, and Houston, the three teams that do not have first round draft picks, and we're going to go off mock draft first round, and what these teams should do with their first pick in the draft, because Carolina doesn't pick first until, you know, pick 33, then it's Houston at pick 43, and then it's Cleveland at pick 54. So let's go through first. I think it's easy. I think it's set in stone. I do believe King of Williams goes to Chicago, you know, goes to the NFC North, next coach of the bear. I mean, next quarterback of the Bears, sorry, my bad, Washington, they pick second, I do believe they're going quarterback as well, that is just definitely something they need. They got a, I'm going to say a decent offensive coordinator in Cliff Kingsbury, he is going to want to open it up, and a lot of people will not admit or will not like to admit, but Cliff Kingsbury is a little bit of a quarterback whisperer, he likes to have the quarterback around him that he likes, things that they do well, fits to his type of scheme that he likes to run, not necessarily an air raid, not necessarily a spread, but as everybody knows, and I have said before, the NFL is going to a more quarterback centric, more of a throw the ball type offense. Look at, you know, Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Holmes, a throw it around the yard kind of guy, you have to have a good quarterback in order to host that Lamarti. Like I've said before, you don't need to have the best quarterback in the league to win the Super Bowl, but you need to have at least a competent quarterback. Washington gets their quarterback, I like Jaden Daniels with right there, Drake May has been falling on my list the more I watch him, I know, I think it's, I think it's bad, Drake May is falling, is he going to go to the right team and end up being a great player? I don't know, but he put out so much tape, there is more things that you can nitpick on him than you can at Jaden Daniels, Jaden Daniels goes number two overall to Washington. New England goes three, I could see them going a lot of ways, are they, they want to keep Bailey Zappi, give him or absolutely a chance at one? Or are they high on Drake May, hell they could be high on JJ McCarthy, I hear rumblings of Marvin Harrison, but you can have the nicest car on the block, but if you don't have gas in it or a good accelerator or a steering wheel that don't turn, it does, there's no use in having a Ferrari, or a Maserati, so on and so forth, and that's literally what Marvin Harrison Jr's nickname was in college, was Maserati Marvin, and you've got to have a quarterback, and I do believe they go quarterback, Drake May is the pro, I think he's the next Tom Brady, at least stand up, stay in the pocket, you know, take a little bit more to process, you know, type of quarterback, I know he gets compared to Mac Jones a lot, not quite the fleetest of foot, Drake May can run, but I see Drake May going here, would be very surprised if they do go Marvin Harrison, you've got to have a quarterback to throw to a type of receiver like Marvin Harrison, we're going to go number four to Arizona, Marvin Harrison Jr, I do believe that is, you know, I'm not going to say this high as he can go, but I think that's as far as he falls, if he, if Arizona passes up on Marvin Harrison at four, somebody's losing their job, I think Kyler Murray is, is just clamoring at the bit for having a Marvin Harrison, at the type of offense that they run, they need a, a prototypical number one guy, but Arizona's looking pretty too, they need a number one receiver, Malik neighbors, on some people's boards is a little bit better than Marvin Harrison, a lot of people would probably say CM you're on crack, I've seen some mock drafts where people pick Malik neighbors over Marvin Harrison, and you know, there's always smoke where there's smoke, there's fire, I'm not saying Marvin Harrison is overrated, I'm just saying sometimes, sometimes some people's traits, some people like more than some others, like I said before at the start of the show, some people like more other prospects more than other prospects and, and it goes down to fit, like I said, it goes down to scheme coaching, so on and so forth. Arizona gets a receiver regardless at four, so we're moving on to five. The Chargers, offensive tackle, cornerback defensive tackle, let's, I got Alt here, you can go neighbors here, hell, even if Arizona goes neighbors, I think the Chargers get Marvin Harrison Jr, but it's one of those things too, where they're sitting there, the Chargers have one of the best prime positions period, hell, they could trade back, you know, that's not a bad team, I just think the only thing that held back the Chargers last year was coaching, they have all the players, but releasing all those rival receivers, they're growing wide receiver here, unless they're really high on Joe Alt, so it's a Joe Alt, Malik neighbors type deal, let's go neighbors right here, just for the simple fact, let's make our quarterback happy and give him someone a throw too, because he doesn't have Keenan Allen, he doesn't have Mike Williams anymore, he's got to have somebody to throw the ball to, let's go neighbors at that, Giants coming in at six, wide receiver, tackle, guard, cornerback, quarterback, they're going to go big, this is another team that, you know, is very benefited, they could call up though too, they could go over the Chargers if they wanted to, hell, they could go up to Arizona or New England if they wanted to, depending on what happens above them and below them, there's going to be some trades, I say at least four or five trades in the first round, this coming up draft here in a couple of days, but let's just say we can't forecast that, we can't say who's going up, who's going down, so on and so forth, the Giants pick at six, they need wide receiver, they need pop, let's get some splash, let's give somebody someone the ball, you know, throw too, you know, for Dany Dimes, I do believe Dany Dimes still has a year left on him, not his contract wise, but I still think he's got a year left of game, and I think he's going to come out with a little bit more to prove, and you've got to have someone to throw too, and I love Romeo Dunes A right here, and it could be neighbors, oh Dunes A, a Dunes A neighbors, like I said, it's just pick your flavor of ice cream, because the wide receiver group, so deep, so good, so many different options, so many different positions, x, y, z, one, two, three, however you want to think of it, and the Giants are sitting there pretty, they're going to get to play regular want, regardless, hill, brought in, you know, brought powers could go here, you just never know with this draft, Tennessee, let's, offensive line was one of the worst problems that they've had in years, they got to keep their quarterback upright, they have some weapons, you know, are they high on some of the guys that they've drafted lately, I don't know, but Tennessee just wants to be competent, they, being an average team, picking in the top 10 for the 2024-25 season is what Tennessee would want, of course you want to win your division, you want to go to the Super Bowl, so on and so forth, Tennessee's got a lot of holes, they're breaking in a new head coach, they've just lost Eric Henry, Tennessee Titans is kind of looking for an identity, and let's solidify, let's pull the Dallas Cowboys route, and let's solidify our offensive line, I think Joe is a home run pick right here, he has to go to a team where he's absolutely needed in what exactly what they want to as well, Atlanta, another team that can just sit back, they can move back, they can move up, there's not a lot of teams exactly looking for a edge type prospect, and you never know though, Atlanta gets the right phone call, why not move back to 12 or 15 for one of these guys that are going to call up the Atlanta Falcons at eight, and give up the position, if they get their pick and maybe a second round pick and maybe a 2025 first round pick, why not, Atlanta Falcons don't have a lot of holes in my honest opinion, I've looked at their depth chart, this is one of the favorites in the NFC South that share, I totally, truly believe it, and I'm not just sucking Mike Ritter's dick, I truly believe the Atlanta Falcons take a huge step forward, they're going to contend for the NFC South title, and why not trade back, but can't do that, let's get one of the best passrushers available, Dallas Turner, it could be Jared verse, it could be law two, law two right here, either way, Mike would be happy with what they're doing because like I said, don't have a whole lot of holes, they have a lot of good players at certain positions, this is going to be a formidable fault, moving on, they're going to get a pass rusher if they have to pick right here though, Chicago at nine, they could go pass rusher right here, they could go wide receiver, like I said, someone moves up, takes Atlanta spot, Atlanta moves back, and they draft a quarterback over Chicago at nine, I could see Chicago going and getting for Shawnu, for Wagga, there's a lot of things that can happen with Chicago at nine, but it also depends on if somebody's dropping somebody's falling, so on and so forth, and who's to say Chicago is not fielding any calls for that ninth big two, but like I said, it's very hypothetical, I love it, let's get a pass rusher or a right receiver, like I said, do you want the fourth best receiver right here, I don't know, but Chicago is going to get better, let's just say they get Jared verse, the second best pass rusher, you get your quarterback of the future, you get your pass rusher of the future, let's follow the Houston Texans and what they did, they went from one of the worst teams, you know, two years ago to being one of, you know, a team that was pretty damn close to, you know, going far in the playoffs, just a couple of injuries, you know, a rookie quarterback and so on and so forth, why not follow that blueprint, you know, like I say, imitation is the finest form of flattery, I mean, it really is, why not, let's just say Chicago gets Jared verse right here, why not, moving on, we got Giants at 10, I see for Sean, you right here, like I said, I've picked Brock Bowers right here, I think Aaron Rodgers wants somebody to throw to, but at the same time, he has to have somebody to protect him. If Joe Alt is there at 10, I do believe they go Joe Alt or do they move up? Like I said, there's so much that goes on in this draft process, but Joe Alt has been picked. Are they hiring for Sean? Do they want to run the ball a little bit more with Breece Hall? Take a little bit of pressure off of the Jets, the in, you know, New York J ETS, Jets, Jets, Jets, there is so much that can go, but I have to make a pick, right. So I like my last pick, you know, and one of my last drafts, Brock Bowers, a solid tight end, they can go for Sean and then go for Wagga, but I just want Aaron Rodgers to have somebody else to throw to, and Brock Bowers is, you know, the next Travis Kelsey from what everybody's saying. So let's go Brock Bowers right here at 10. Let's see here, Minnesota, or did they trade out? I'm not sure. I don't have my updated. I am so sorry, because I know, you know, Houston does not pick in the first round, but let's just go with what I have. I'm so sorry, Minnesota, quarterback, quarterback, running back edge. Have a feeling, you know, they could go edge right here. Quarterback help is very much needed. I think J.J. McCarthy is what they're going to go and go ahead and do. Or if they don't move up, but like I said, I cannot predict that. Let's go with J.J. McCarthy right there. Denver at 12. I think Bonix is perfect for that. I've said it before over and over again. He fits that offensive scheme. He fits what Sean Payton would like to do. It fits. Like I said, if there's an edge position that they haven't really been rated. You never know what Atlanta does. If the number one pass rusher is there at 12, I would not be surprised if Denver does that. But Stuart Stidham is the slighted number one quarterback right now. They're going quarterback. And like I said, Bonix is the guy in my opinion. Las Vegas. We got for Shawnee right here in one of our last drafts. Terry and Arnold right here as well. Quarterback, cornerback are their most two needed. Terry and Arnold. I love it right here. Very high. But let's make it interesting. They don't want to. I don't think they'll get a quarterback. You don't want, you know, a guy like Pinnix. But Las Vegas is also another wildcard. I truly believe they are going to try to trade up and get Jane Daniels. I think Jane Daniels fits the Las Vegas style of offense. And I've actually kind of heard that Jane Daniels would love to play for the Raiders. So don't be surprised if Las Vegas goes up and tries to get him. But they'd have to go very, very high. And I don't know if they're willing to give up stuff, because they need a lot of things. You know, I know, I mean, Las Vegas is picking in the top 15. So I can't, like I said, can't hypothetically say that. Ooh, this is tough. Let's just go for Shawnee. I do believe for Shawnee was picked in one of my mock drafts, or it could have been the 2B2 one I do with Mike and Terry with the help of Mr. Howard Pool. You know, maybe they're high on Minshew. Like I said, they still got Aiden O'Connell. There's still some talent in that quarterback room. Let's roll with the dice one more, one more year in Kansas City's division. And I know every team really thinks that they can win the division. They want to win the division. But sometimes you have to kind of go, you know what? It's just might not be our year. Let's just roll with the cards we're dealt with. And let's get one of the best players at their position. And I see Terry on our right here or for Shawnee, but I'm going to go for Shawnee right here. New Orleans offensive tackle and guard help. They need help on their offensive line. I picked for Longa in the two versus two got the draft that I did with Mike and Terry and of course, our pool again. And it fits, you know, a run first out, you know, tackle Derek Carr, you know, is still a New Orleans Saint. He's not the guy that needs to throw the ball 40 45 times a game. Give it to AK 41, man. Let's run the ball. I like for longer right there. Andy, I've gotten Brian Thomas Jr. Terry and Arnold, definitely a team that can move up as well, especially when some of the players are still available, you know, within the last four picks above them, they can do a lot. But actually, it wouldn't hurt for Indianapolis to fall back. You know, I'm not going to lie. Brock Bowers is there. Brock Bowers is going to be an Indianapolis cold, but I don't see him falling that far. So he's going to have to call up and try to get that guy. But I like Brian Thomas Jr. right here. Like I said, let's go offense. Let's Anthony Richardson comes back from his, you know, of course, his injury last year. I think he's going to be a formidable foe in the S.C. South next year. And why not give him something to play with. And I like Brian Thomas Jr. right there. Seattle coming in next, linebacker help, guard help, defense attack will edge. Quarterback, quarterback, there's a lot of things Seattle can do as well. Let's see here. We got Quignon Mitchell in one of the mocks, not real sure which one it is. I just have a bunch of different picks next to each other, not sure which mock draft it was. But I do believe Seattle goes defense regardless. If Jared verse or Dallas Turner's here for the Seattle Seahawks, I don't see why they would not pull the trigger on that. But the cornerback position is kind of hasn't been rated yet. So let's go ahead and get a cornerback. Quignon Mitchell would fit a lot better there than Terriana Arnold. But at the same time, maybe they're hiring on Terriana Arnold. Either way, they're going to get a cornerback here. Let's just say, I'm not going to pick one of them. Honestly, let's just move on. Jacksonville comes in, defense align, offensive tackle, while guard and cornerback. Josh on Newton, in one of our mock drafts is picked here. We got men's as well. Either one of those picks would be beautiful. Like I said, they could be high on Tyler Gaiden. They could be high on a lot of different guys here. Font new. There's just no telling what they can do right here. Jacksonville's in a pretty good position. But I like the Josh on Newton. Like I said, he wasn't in my defensive tackle position breakdown. A lot of people probably say, Sam doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. I think Josh on Newton's more of a defensive end. I know he can play defensive tackle, but I didn't even talk about him or my defensive ends. Like I said, I was very high on Newton early in my process, but it is what it is. They could do a lot here. Mims, Newton, offensive tackle, Fashanu's here. They can go a lot of different ways. Cincinnati's coming up next. Offensive tackle. J.C. Latham would fit perfectly there. It's exactly what they need. Joey Burrow, not playing last year of being hurt. Had a lot to do with his offensive line, so we have to get him protected. Let's get Mims. Let's get Latham. Let's get a straight up pass blocker. Fashanu's here. They're taking Fashanu. They're going off in the tackle, regardless. Rams, I'm thinking they need some edge help. Offensive tackle as well. They could go linebacker when the first linebackers can come off the board right here. A lot like last year with Detroit Jack Campbell, a guy, you know, a linebacker, came off the board a little earlier than he was supposed to. He ended up being a hit for Detroit. Don't be surprised if the Rams get their linebacker of the future. Not real sure if there's a true number one linebacker this year. Let's just pick your flavor, but if there's a straight up pass rusher right here, Lotu, Lotu would fit. Dallas fits here. Jared Burrow's here. They're going to go pass rusher. They're going to go defense for sure right here. Or offensive tackle. Like I said, I don't ever know what some of these players or some of these teams are going to do. And another thing about the draft is over analysis can always equal to no analysis. Just kind of in a way to think of it is you have a test. Let's say you have a test in four or five days, maybe a week. You cram, you cram, you study, you study. The day you take the test, you bomb the test. You know, you get a D or F or something. Sometimes thinking too much and studying too hard can hurt you. And that comes in the same boat right here for the draft. I've done so many mocks. I've done so many situations, but we really don't know what happens in these war rooms. We don't know what these coaches think. We don't know what these owners want. So don't be surprised if you studied so many mock drafts. Listen to my mock drafts. Listen to Mike and Terry's mock drafts. And none of them hit. Drafts are crazy. I just want to get players. I just want to talk about players. That's all I want. Okay, moving on. Twenty, we got Pittsburgh. Terry and Arnold had got picked here. Let's just say hypothetically as we've been going through, Arnold hasn't been picked. Actually, Quinn, you on Mitchell gets picked before Terry on Arnold. Terry on Arnold would be great in Pittsburgh. I love Pittsburgh, but I say Terry and Arnold's not there. They're going to get Jackson Powers Johnson. They have to. It's the next Marquis Pouncy guy. You know, it's the Steelers are so cut from a different cloth. You know, they do things one way. They've never really changed from the 70s, but you have to have won the same amount of Super Bowls as a lot of some of these other, you know, franchises. They do things their way. Of course they can kind of adapt. They've tried it their other different ways. They've tried the kitty pickets. They've tried this and tried that the the onto Johnson's so on and so forth. Let's come back to the bread and butter. Let's secure our offensive line. Let's get Jackson Powers Johnson right here. I love it at 20. But like I said, don't be surprised to turn it on. What comes off right here? If he's sitting there, like I said, it's just what what are they thinking? I don't know. Miami Miami goes off of what Pittsburgh is going to do. Easy peasy. Miami needs center guard help. They need edge help. Safety wide receiver defense attack. Well, they've got a lot of things that they need. We got Byron Murphy right here in one of our mocks. I got Jackson Powers Johnson right here in one of our mocks. I'm not making solid picks by the way for any of these things. I'm just kind of throwing things out what they would fit and it's going to kind of come into effect when it comes into some of these three teams that are going to pick in the second round for their first overall pick. Like I said, Miami can do so much right here. And this is one of the teams that I thought did so well in the offseason. Got so many good players at certain positions that they absolutely need. But Jackson Powers Johnson fits there in Miami as well. So Jackson Powers Johnson at 20 and 21, he doesn't fall past 21. I honestly don't believe he will be a Pittsburgh dealer or Miami dolphin for sure in 2024. 22 Philly cornerback safety guard wide receivers what they need. I said it before they're going defense and they're going to go secondary. I don't see a safety here at all. They're going to go corner back. But at the same time it all depends on what's going on above them. If you start seeing cornerbacks fall off the draft board, Philly will call up and get one of the next best ones, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cooper Dijean. It just depends on what they're trying to do up in Philadelphia. I don't believe they're going offense. They're going to go defense. They've been giving up way too many yards in the air the last couple of years. It's what killed them in the Super Bowl two years ago. They're going to go defense the secondary. It's just who and what they're going to pick for what certain positions. So expect Philly to go defensive secondary right here. We got Minnesota coming in with the pit they got from Houston defensive tackle cornerback offensive tackle. We had Minnesota a little earlier and got the quarterback in the future. I honestly think it's a bust. I think to Jim McCarthy is Mack Jones 2.0. I've said this before, but maybe they can make him work. I don't know, but that kind of checks one thing off their list. I think they go corner back with this pick since they're picking twice in the first round. They can go defensive tackle right here if Drishan Newton is right there as well. They actually really need a pass rusher as well. But I mean Daniel Hunter is gone. It's it's very tough for Minnesota right now to be honest. Oh man. Second pick. I think they're going to go defensive side of the ball since they got their quarterback in the future. Let's get a cornerback. It's going to be the leftovers of course from Terry on Arnold Cooper to Jean. Let's see here. Quinn y'all Mitchell, Kool-Aid McCand street. Like I said, there's a lot of good guys. Like I said, in that cornerback class, just let make sure you listen to that cornerback wide receiver show coming out here in the next couple of days. So like I said, don't be surprised. Minnesota goes to the other side of the ball with their other first round pick. Dallas coming in next. I do believe they go offense to tackle. They have to. They have to secure that offensive line. But don't be surprised. If quarterbacks above them, you know, those picks four or five picks before them, if they start going different routes, why not get somebody on the other side of digs and get one of the best quarterbacks out there instead of the fourth, fifth best tackle. Why not get the second or third best cornerback? But at the same time, Jerry Jones is the biggest damn wild card when it comes to the draft. He can trade up. He can trade back. You never know what the Cowboys are going to do. I swear they are so unpredictable for sure. Green Bay comes in next. I have them needing offensive tackle help, cornerback help and guard. They're definitely a lot like Pittsburgh. They do their things their way. They've tried it. They've got the quarterback of the future. They got Josh Jacobs. They're going to try to run the ball. Let's get a run style tackle here. If Wong is there, they're going to go for Wonga. I think they're going to try to take some pressure off. Jordan Love is coming up here and let's try to run the ball a lot more with Josh Jacobs. They could go one of the best run style guards and Cooper BB out predicted that and they're not dragged as well. One of the first guards taking off. Green Bay is in a good position. This is a good team. I remember that's a team that went into Dallas and kicked the Cowboys ass. One of the best teams in the NFC last year and just went to their house and just completely demolished them. Green Bay is only a few players away in what they did in the offseason with Xavier McKinney picking him up in the offseason and securing their defensive backfield. Having one of the best defensive backfield out there. They could do all kinds of stuff. Like I said, I predict offensive tackle here as well, especially if there's the third or fourth best one there. But like I said, I can only get some. I can only forecast what's going to happen because like I said, I may be decent at this kind of stuff, but I am not close to perfect. No where I ever claim to be. Tampa Bay comes in next needing center edge guard safety running back wide receiver linebacker. I mean, they could do all kinds of stuff. I do believe that they're running to try to move up. I think Tampa Bay is another one of those teams that would love to have Jackson Power Johnson and you know that pewter uniform. I would hate to see it. You know, of course, being a division rival like I've always said before. I don't have ill will towards the Atlanta Falcons nor I have ill will to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but seeing Jackson Power Johnson, you know, imputer and you know, with the pirate logo on his helmet just kind of would hurt a little bit just because you know he's a baller. I mean, he really is. They don't need much. They can go all kinds of places with this. It's hard to forecast. Like I said, they can go linebacker here. You just really don't know. It's hard to forecast. Font. No, I have here, Grant Barton here and some of these other mock drafts. Like I said, I do believe they go offensive line, but why not strengthen one of their things that got him a Super Bowl ring a couple of years ago with an edge player. Like I said, if if if versus here, Dallas Turner's here, Font knows he I'm not Font. No, a lot two lotus here. Why not man? Like I said, the later these teams picking around one, the more wild cards they are, can they move up? Can they move back? There's just so much that these teams can do. Absolutely, Arizona comes up next with their second pick of the first. They get their, you know, wide receiver of the future. It helps out. Collin Murray shuts Collin Murray up for a little bit. Let's go help our other side of the ball. Like I said, they can go edge here, corner back here. They're going to get the leftovers of everything that happened. You know, a couple of picks ahead of them. You know, maybe it's Cooper Digine. Like I said, if Kool-Aid's there, I don't think Teri and Arnold or Kunshan Mitchell fall this far. Maybe they go up and get them, but I do believe they go defensive secondary or pass rush with their second pick. But like I said, I'm just forecasting. Even meteorologists are wrong. Right? Hell, they could go another wide receiver. Hell, you never know. Why not? Let's, you know, let's just try to outscore everybody. You know, in the NFC West next year with the Arizona Cardinals. Hell, why not? Hell, why not? Jack Ladd-McConkey have, you know, Marvin Harrison or Malik neighbors and have Ladd-McConkey out and I'm Mitchell. Like I said, there's just so many things that Arizona could do. Don't be surprised if they just throw a monkey wrench into the draft for sure. Oh, wait. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Buffalo. Wide receiver, they go wide receiver here all day. No more Stefan digs. I remember the last time I did mock draft. I think it was two versus two and it could have been even my 3.0 special. They were going to go wide receiver before they traded away Stefan digs. So they're going wide receiver all day right here. It would be, I would say Niagara Falls would fall off the map if Buffalo does not get a pass catcher right here. It's going to happen and if I was a Buffalo Bills fan, you're clamoring for a receiver. Like I said, which, which, you know, wide receiver, you like more, which one fits better? Of course with Josh Allen and some of that, that team, because like I said, the Buffalo Bills, the window is slightly closing. You know, the couple of years ago, they were favorites and it's, they just keep kind of falling back and they got to go offensive weapon right here. They got to get a wide receiver. Detroit coming up next, cornerback edge. Hell, they could go wide receiver right here. So many things that they could do. I think they go defense. I think their offense is pretty set. I think they have, you know, a lot of their weapons that they absolutely need. Let's just get depth right here. They could do all kinds of stuff. Detroit's going to be hard to predict. I do believe they go defensive secondary though. Moving up, they could move up and flirt with the Miami's and Pittsburgh's earlier in that draft and try to get one of the best quarterbacks, especially when number one cornerback goes off the board, especially between about 13, 15. Don't be surprised. Detroit tries to put something together to go up and get the next best cornerback because I do believe that is what they need going into there. And also, don't be surprised for a pass rusher right here for Detroit. I love Lottie Lottie right here. I think Lottie Lottie is a Detroit lion. He is a dog. Definitely a guy that's going to have, you know, the deck stacked against him, you know, like I've said before in one of my draft prospect things that I did. This guy has defeated a lot and he's going to have, you know, a chip on his shoulder. He's going to prove he has something to prove and why not do it. And I do believe day in the man Campbell is a guy that would love to take a bet and bet on a guy like Lottie Lottie. So I love that pick. But like I said, Detroit's in a good position no matter what they do. They go defense regardless. Baltimore right here. Offense. I do believe they go. Like I said, they've done a lot of good things. They got their Henry Agilor. They could go. Like I said, cornerback. If it's a little depleted, then maybe a Camar elasseter. I love Camar elasseter. And the Baltimore Ravens uniform being a Georgia bulldog. Going to a Baltimore Ravens team, a prestigious team. It's kind of, it's going to take, you know, it's going to, of course, it's going to be a step up in class. But, you know, you want Georgia guys and Bama guys and Longhorn guys and guys coming from big programs where they already had kind of a little bit of chip on their shoulder, a little bit of pressure on them to go to a team like Baltimore, a team like Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Dallas, you know, so on and so forth to where they're going to be used to the pressure rather than kind of bow away from it. But like I said, Baltimore can do all different kinds of things right here. But I think they go defense. So let's strengthen what they needed. You know, like I said, they help care the city to one of their lowest, you know, point totals in the playoffs last year. And, you know, maybe they go offense. Like I said, let's take a gamble on another wide receiver. I don't know. Baltimore is a hard team to predict. San Francisco. I do believe they go offensive line here, especially the way it's kind of going with what I've been doing. There could be a guy on their board that's just kind of sitting there that they like. You just never know. I do believe they go off. It's a grind though. If cornerbacks hadn't been depleted, they're going to go corner back. Like I said, this is, it gets tough towards the end of the first round for sure when it comes to this. And of course, the Kansas City Chiefs coming in with the last pick of the first round. I do believe they go wide receiver since, you know, they kind of hadn't been depleted yet. And it's just so deep. There's so many guys. Do you want a burner? Do you want to X? Do you want to Y? Do you want to see? Are they glad McConkie fits? I think you would. I think him and Patrick Mahomes would be best of friends. I love to do that. You know, Brian Thomas Jr. Let me look at my wide receiver list real quick. Key on Coleman. Burton. You got Tess Walker, Xavier LeGett. Cornelius Johnson. I mean, Roman and Wilson's current below my list. There's just so many guys, Malachi Corley. It's just Kansas City couldn't be had a better advantage. They're just literally sitting back going, Hey, there's so many receivers in this draft process. And a lot of them fit. We're just going to take the next guy. We're going to have a list and they're just going to mark off every single one of them until it gets to their pick and they're going to get the next best wide receiver. Absolutely. They could go off and tackle here, but I don't think they're going to get the fourth or fifth best offense to tackle. I'd rather have the fourth or fifth best wide receiver. Honestly, if I'm the Kansas City Chiefs, the which get richer, I don't jump his iron. Now, it's getting to the fun part, right? You know, there's three teams that are not picking in the first round. Of course, it was only two a couple of weeks ago, of course, with Houston trading to get Stefan Diggs. Definitely one of the best straight up wide receiver rooms in the NFL period. You got to take down the co-colons. Now you got Stefan Diggs, Dalton Schulz. That offense is going to be wrong, ready to go. I know KG could not be any more happier to be in Houston Texans fan. And you know, it makes me jealous at the same time because, you know, Houston was such a waffle franchise for the past couple of years. And now I do believe they will be picked to win their division next year. I mean, there's no reason, you know, the hunters now shall be the hunted. And I do believe Houston can do it. Houston is going to be a great team. But of course, sorry, we're doing my kind of lot of Panthers first. A team that, I mean, hell, we need two or three, maybe even four picks in the first round, you know, to fix a lot. I know we did a lot in our free agency period. Wide receiver, I do believe we could go for I do believe with Kamalas, you know, coming from Tampa Bay, working with Baker Mayfield. I think he will bring the best at a bright show. I'm not saying the guy is going to win Comeback Player of the Year MVP, or even win the division. You know, I, of course, I'm an optimistic realist. I don't consider myself pessimistic at all. But Carolina is going to have a bad year. Yes, of course, are we going to win some games? Sure. But we should, we should be picking in the top five, you know, in the 20, 25 draft coming up next year. But let's get a wide receiver here. Let's try to help out Bryce Young. I own our offensive line kind of needs a little bit of help. We could use some help on our edge position as well, losing Brian Burns. We are defensive secondary, uh, serious, secondary, got a little bit of a pleaded as well. We lost Jeremy Chin, one of my other favorite players on the defense, uh, Frankie Luvoo. Uh, like I said, it's a very big changing of the guard for my Carolina Panthers. And I know there's probably a lot of people who really don't care. Uh, but the draft is very bittersweet for me this year because I got to wait till Friday, you know, for my Carolina Panthers to really hypothetically make a move. Can my Panthers move up into the first round at the end of the first round and get somebody that absolutely wanted and put some kind of trade thing together? Absolutely. But I think it bit our, you know, I bit us in the ass, you know, two years ago. And I don't think we're going to do that again. We're just going to stay pat and, you know, use our position, help maybe even trade back and get some more picks. You never know. But let's just say hypothetically, we take our 33rd, the first pick in the second round. We're getting a wide receiver or a pass rusher. Like I said, it just really depends on what we're doing. But if I'm making this pick, I'm getting a wide receiver. Mingo hasn't quite worked out. Uh, Thielen was a highlight for us last year for sure. Uh, you got to get Bryce showing somebody to throw with, but at the same time, our offensive line isn't the best. But let's get the best out of Bryce showing because he's going to be there for at least another year. Let's get some stuff around him. Why not get a wide receiver here? I love a lad, McConkey, uh, AD Mitchell's, uh, VA worthy. Like I said, I don't want to go down this list again. All these players that I've named that hadn't even been drafted. Uh, let's go out of receiver. Um, next up would be the Houston Texans picking at 43. Um, defensive tackle, cornerback guard, uh, you get some depth of tight end, uh, a little bit of edge help. Uh, I do believe they're going to stay away from that. Daniel Hunter, uh, fills that role very well in Houston. We're not going to get a pass rusher here. And, uh, getting CJ Henderson, I know it's kind of a journeyman, uh, kind of a guy that's kind of gone around two different franchises. You know, a lot of people remember CJ Henderson, uh, playing for, uh, Jacksonville. Uh, I do believe if we play for my Carolina Panthers as well, if I'm not mistaken. Uh, they're not going to kind of pull the trigger on that. They can go, they're going to go defense here, but at the same time they could reassure up their offensive line. I see guard right here, especially if some of these guards were not rated like they probably should at the end of the first round, uh, make their strength their greatest strength. I know their defense could be helped. But like I said, I, I would love to talk to KG about that to see what his mind frame would be because this is a team that is better now than they were last year. This is a playoff team, a team of one, their division. Uh, they could do all kinds of things. Like I said, I, I don't know. But if I'm taking that pick, um, you got to look at who's in your division too. I know the AFC South might be a little weak. Uh, this coming up here with Tennessee and kind of getting a new head coach. There's, there's a lot of, uh, uncertainty and Jacksonville, Andy and Apples could be a dark horse. Uh, I don't know what Houston's going to do. I really don't know, but, um, like I said, they can go both ways. Like I said, this is hard. This is hard to do. Uh, regardless what Houston does, they've been drafting well the past couple of years, uh, and with Tamiko Ryan's running the ship. I do believe that Houston Texans will go to the promise land. I love they're getting rebranded, uh, getting some uniforms, new helmets, someone and so forth. Definitely a team that is in needing it. I know KG will be one of the first players on players. Um, fans to go out and get one of these new jerseys are going to come out because they needed it. They need a rebrand. Uh, they absolutely needed it. And this is going to be a fun team to watch. Like I said, Houston can do so much right here. I would love to make a pick for them, but it all depends on what goes on ahead of them. Like I said, uh, do they want to strengthen their offense, strengthen the offensive line, their playmakers, uh, defense. I do believe, let's just say defense right here, especially if there's a good defensive tackle here or a good quarterback right here. Uh, let's get defense and I love it. Tamiko Ryan's. I'm going to solidify that pick and say Tamiko Ryan's goes defense with the number 43rd pick. Uh, last one coming in, of course, is Cleveland. Uh, I think it's a good thing. I think it's a good thing to pick where they are. They got Nick Chub coming back. Uh, and I'm here and Nick Chub is well ahead of his, you know, time off, you know, time that he needed off, you know, to get ready for, uh, this 2024, 2025 season, you know, this is a team that had one of the best statistical defenses in the league last year. I came down to quarterback play. Deshawn Watson is definitely going to be one of the quarterbacks that is going to have the most pressure on him next year. He's got to stay healthy and he's going to have to perform, especially with what Joe Flacco did with this Cleveland Browns organization last year, taking this team that kind of looked a little defeated, you know, halfway three quarters of the way in the year and turning them into a playoff team. Uh, he's going to have to perform and I don't think they can get rid of Deshawn Watson for a hot minute. I think he signed until 2027, uh, hell, maybe even longer. I'm not real sure, but, um, getting Devonta Foreman and the free agency and a guy like Nahim Heinz, uh, you know, a journeyman number two. Uh, these two guys also have, uh, you know, if Chub does get hurt again, they can go deep again. This is a running back deep room in Cleveland and, uh, I have Cleveland needing offensive tackle with help. Some linebacker help, especially a Sam linebacker, um, safety and edge. Um, Cleveland's looking pretty. I know they don't pick to 54 and, you know, uh, I forgot from Mr. Kevin Watson. Uh, you know, you're, oh, sorry, I got it backwards. KG is the Cleveland fan. Kevin Watson is a Houston fan. Sorry. I get, I get mixed up. I get a little tired. Hey, it's been a rough month. All right. You're probably everybody's been probably yelling at the, what you've been listening to. Sorry. KG's the Cleveland fan, the guy with the flash drive, the guy's a big, you know, dog fan. And of course, Kevin Watson is the Houston fan. I am so sorry. Like I said, I'm not perfect. You know, I screw up just, you know, like I said, take me with a great assault. But like I said, uh, KG, you're good, man. You could roll off the same team. You rolled out last year and, uh, you could, you contend for your division. Absolutely. I do believe you go offensive tackle here though. But, uh, if Tyler guidance, the best one available, I go for it. I know you would love a run style offensive tackle because I, I do believe Cleveland loves to run the ball, runs play action. They got some playmakers though now, um, with the addition of Joey Judy, um, Sam linebacker. This could be, you can get one of the best linebackers out there, make one of your strengths and even better strength. Uh, why not? Like I said, uh, safety and edge. Uh, I would, I got off his tackle though at your number one need, protect the Sean Watson, right? You know, keep him upright. Um, yeah, get the next best one. Like I said, if the tackles don't get rated, of course, uh, that's, that's the deal. If they, uh, if they don't get rated, they're going to get a tackle. If they are rated, uh, let's go linebacker, uh, defensive secondary, maybe another, uh, pass rusher. Why not put somebody on the side of miles, Gary? Uh, like I said, this is not the end of the world for you, Mr. KG. It's really not picking up 54. Cause like I said, this is a very good team and, uh, gonna contend. Uh, this is another playoff team in the 2024. Absolutely see it. So, uh, don't be this heart and KG. Sorry. I got you and Kevin Watson, you know, uh, mixed up. Sorry. Like I said, this has been a long process, man. This is one of my last shows that I'm going to do for draft processes. So, uh, I've exhausted. And, you know, I got a job, you know, I got hobbies. I got bowling. I got, uh, you know, relationships. I got family. Uh, I got a lot of my play and I sometimes not only do I run out of gas, I run out of fumes. Uh, and it really is. It really is what it is. So I hope you guys, I hope you guys aren't mad at me. I am truly sorry for getting you guys confused. But like I said, I, I'm not perfect. I'm really not. So, uh, I appreciate you guys though. I know you guys listen all the time and I hope you guys have great years and have a good draft because I know it's going to suck. You know, me, KG and Kevin Watson, we're going to be sitting back. Um, and you can't really enjoy it as much. You know, if you don't have a first round draft pick and I'm just like, you know, you guys, KG and Kevin Watson, uh, your futures are a lot brighter than mine. And like I said, I love to be optimistic, but I'm a realist as well. So, and I just know we're not going to have that good of a year. So, uh, at least your teams are playoff teams last year. And I do believe you are teams that can contend for, uh, your respective divisions and not only divisions, you can fight for a conference title. I truly absolutely believe that 100%. So, to keep your chin up, remember it's always darkest before the dawn and, uh, your team will be better than mine next year. So, uh, always remember that, you know, kind of get a little downtrodden. You say, my team's not doing very much in the off season and they're only picking, they're picking at 43 and 54. Hey, at least you, you know, you're picking, you know, and at least your teams are good. Like I said, that's all I'm going to say. Bow it out about an hour again. I tried to make this a quick episode, but like I always say, CM likes to talk too much. Usually hold on with my whistle. Okay. Um, you guys take care. Thank you so much. This is my last episode of the draft process. I'm exhausted. You know, like I said, this all started during the football season of course college and then really got into it after the national championship game. So, pretty much since January, February, I have been doing this a lot and I hope you appreciate it. And I know, uh, I'm going to ruffle feathers and I know I'm higher on people than some people are and I'm lower on people than other individuals, but it's just, uh, it's, it's my honest opinion. Like I said, I've never claimed to be perfect. I never have. Am I going to be wrong on stuff? Am I going to completely whiff on things? Absolutely. But I want to get you guys as as prepared for the draft as possible. I think of it as I am a teacher. I'm a professor and I'm giving you all this stuff about draft. So when you watch the draft on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, you know, whatever and you look at, like I said, in one of my last episodes, you look at your draft and you say, you know, seeing was high on this player and I hope he, he pans out. And like I said, I just want to have you guys prepared because there's nothing worse than sitting in the draft and watching the draft and just going, who the fuck is that guy? You know, who did we draft in the second round or that first round draft pick? Because like I said, there's a lot of guys that you've heard about, you know, profusely. And I want to let you guys know about, you know, the diamonds in the rough, the guys you're going to get in the later rounds, even the unrestricted free agents, so on and so forth. And I hope you enjoyed my process because I put in my blood, sweat, and tears. Seriously, I'm fucking exhausted. And like I said, I hope you appreciate all the work that I did because I did a lot. And like I said, I don't, I don't expect any, you know, bats on the back at all. I just hope you enjoyed it. You know, I hope you enjoy it. I hope you listen to these long ass episodes that come in, you know, averaging an hour. And I hope that hour goes by and the show ends and you go, damn, I just listened to CM for an hour and I didn't have to look at my watch or, you know, so on and so forth. I just hope you enjoy it. I really do. So if you do enjoy it, please tell friend, like I said, I can't, I can't do any more than what I'm already doing. I promote the football function as much as I can. I wear my shirt as often as I can. I people that love football, I promote not just my show. I promote the NFL football function, fantasy, you know, all this stuff. I do exactly what I should do. And what everybody else I hope does too as well is just to promote us because that's all we want. You know, get the Patreon, I paid that dollar a month. Get these ads, you know, ads. Get these shows. Oh, and added, unadded. All right. See, I said, I'm running out of gas. I'm on fumes because then it's been a long couple of months. So I hope you enjoyed it. I'm not going to say very much more. You guys take care. Like I said, have a great draft. It's one of the best times of the year. Have fun. Your team gets better. And you could be mad at the same time it happens too. There's going to be some picks that they're going to be some head scratchers. You're going to see some leatherwoods get picked. People move up, people move down. There's going to be so much stuff going on. So I hope you enjoy it because I will be enjoying it myself. And see how much you guys, like I said, follow us on our social medias, football function 2.0 on Instagram, football function on Facebook. Like I said, I cannot thank you guys enough. I do it for you guys. Even if there's one person that loves my show, and there's 10 people that hate it, I couldn't change it. I wouldn't want to change it to working out. It's really good. In the words of Cattle Williams, and if you don't have any haters, that means you ain't doing something right. So I appreciate you guys. Please, like I said in the mode, have a great draft. I hope I got you guys ready. And I hope you enjoy yourself. Have a great draft. I will talk to you guys soon. Take care. God bless you. I love you. Go where you're going. Go where you're going to get there. Go where you are. Take care. God bless. Record ball.
