"It's the most wonderful time of the year" some might say and I agree! If for no other reason that it's perfectly legit to drink glögg in this part of the world and because I generally post my top ten countdown of the best albums released in the year that has (soon) gone by. With a bit of luck, YOUR favorite record made the cut.

Jakes Inferno Hey there and welcome to episode 473 of Jakes Inferno. Yes, it's time for me to once again sum up the year that has gone by. With the top 10 countdown of the best albums released, I should point out that only records I've bought either a physical or digital copy of can be part of this list. I don't have a Spotify account, well, technically I do, but my dear daughter has kidnapped it and if I didn't sleep 5 feet from my record collection, I might have a problem with that, but I don't. So, let's dig in, shall we, shovels and rope narrowly made the list in 2022 and the same goes for this year. Something is working up above my head as it's moments, but as a whole, there's a slight disappointment in my opinion. There's track 4 on the disc. Take care and the blood was spent on the Colorado River. Wind and lakes, stunning skates, sun and snakes on the Colorado River. Check, ski, hues, princess, blue, the door of blooms on the Colorado River. In the early snowhopper, water rain stems on the Colorado River. Dry it up, leave your tears in the truck, let your hate get stuck on the Colorado River. What they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, all the Colorado River. What they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, all the Colorado River. What they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, all the Colorado River. What they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, all the Colorado River. What they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, what they gonna find, album from Hell I Rise. The minute I heard that Mark Ossegueda had been picked to sing on this record, I knew I had to buy it as I am a huge Death Angel fan. That being said, this isn't Death Angel, and to my ears the song sounded like without much variation, hence a ninth place on my top ten. This next band I saw live in March and Ultima's sophomore effort Epic is a fine blend of Death and Black Metal with distinctive vocals from David Vincent. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] You just heard the gems with the track titled "Psycho", man if you followed the debacle after all the members of this band left and/or got fired from Thundermother. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who the song is about. Their debut album, Phoenix, came out in January and grabbed spot number seven on my list. Prior to that I played Exercetice IRA with Ultima's. Fans of the Cure had to wait even longer than it took for Guns N' Roses to make Chinese democracy. Songs of a lost world may not live up to all the rape reviews I've read, but I do like the record and have no problem finding a place for it on my top ten. Here's Drone, No Drone. [Music] [Music] [Music] I'm breaking up again, feeling in the air. I really don't show what to say. I don't remember feeling at all. Yeah, I know. There's no question I was. The answers I have, but not the answers lead one. So, I don't know. I really don't know. I don't think so, but maybe not, but I don't know who me. The place with me is place in my identity. Yeah, I don't know. I really don't know. I don't think so. Maybe not, but I guess it's pointless. Like a lot of the snowmany. Down, down, down. Yeah, pretty much strong. Sharing down about the same one gone. Down, down, down. Yeah, pretty much strong. But there's no reason why I fall through the door. And despite my loss, it will give me more. At least I don't know how I lose it before. One last shot. At least I don't know. Yeah, pretty much strong. Yeah, pretty much strong. I know there's something wrong. There's also here I miss. I'm trying to make some sense of it. I guess the explanation is I can't anymore. But I am a really good kind of strange thing. It takes itself to get misunderstood. So I don't know. I really don't know. I don't think so. Maybe not, but I could be. The place with me is place in my identity. Now I guess it's pointless. Waving out what's meant to be. Down, down, down. Yeah, pretty much strong. Sharing down about the same one gone. Down, down, down. Yeah, pretty much strong. And despite my loss, it will give me more. At least I don't know how I lose it before. One last shot. So, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so. Yeah, I'm looking up to catch the last days of evil. Yeah, I want someone just to stab all the brakes from everyone that I hear. Clear as the knots on the field. I feel I'm hanging on the thread of a press. Yeah, we're going weak and really weak. We wish for someone who cares. Who's maybe not even there? Yeah, what is it we don't understand? There's holding bombs in the holy land. Yeah, religion's a killing. The love that's missing. They're right at the end of the trail. Now God brings to me. Now God brings to me. Yeah, because this is a life we belong to. Yeah, the battles we fought for the world. Yeah, we know how it hurts. The fight is done here on Earth. Send the death, no more longer to sing this. Care what we've got, we've got your treat on a roll. But don't spread the disease. Don't tell me why to believe. Yeah, what is it we don't understand? He's all the Amazon turns into sound. Yeah, send the earth by last soul. Here's the light. She's saying it's out of hand. Now God brings to me. Now God brings to me. Yeah, God brings to me. Now God brings to me. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Yeah, God brings to me. Yeah, God brings to me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now what is it we don't understand? Dirty money, cleaning all hands. Head up over to heaven, the rich will be staying. I guess we're right at the end of the film. Now God brings to me. Now God brings to me. Now God brings to me. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. The cure at number six on my list, and it doesn't take a math genius to figure out that DAD then took spot number five. Songs called God Praised to Man, and that is the opening track on the album Speed of Darkness. I'm not alone in thinking that this record would have been so much better as a 10-track release. Not that anyone gives a hoot, but it would certainly have climbed a couple of spots on my list had that been the case. If the album title and cover was all it took to be number one, Sami Yafa would have won the prize without contest. Satan's helpers wore laser eyes and the money pig circus came out in March, and I've listened to it a lot ever since. He lands at number four, and tracks six on the disc sounds like this. (Music) You keep reading, I tell the page, somebody told me that all the words staged, but I'll come when I look to the right to put the CD as actors in the spotlight. It's full of uncommon sense, I find it hard just to see the defense, and this feeling is killing me. I can't keep who and it's hard to get raised on. (Music) The note breaks all another day. Your cover smells got nothing to say, and now I feel seen from my head to my feet, 'cause it's a horror show running or repeat. Everybody's going out of their minds. You break the windows and you throw the buzz, but it's a band-aid, or a catastrophe, and I can't keep cool with some thousand degrees. No! That's why we went to my bed! We haven't finished the bench for a break, but he's gone to the kitchen. No! No! No! It's a shooting show! (Music) It's all the same on best of fairs, these motherfuckers want to score a steer. So how come we never learn? We all sit back and we watch it burn. The blade sees down the pressure and eyes, barely like a lesson while the spinning lies. But we all know what they really say, 'cause it still smells from a mile away. Go! (Music) No! (Music) (Music) (Music) (Music) One second man, I gotta breathe. My skull rattles and I'm grinding my teeth, 'cause I can't take no more of this. Well I know my fault, they take the piss. So let me tell you how the story goes. A shiny couple with some terrible prose. You think you end up with the right to choose, but a little weird to know we all just lose. (Music) (Music) (Music) (Music) (Music) It's another shit show.
