The local facility built in 1978 was previously known as Holstead Industries and Coby Copper Products. Annual wages about $57,000 exceeding the Stokes County average of $36,500. Cone Health in Greensboro has a new owner, Kaiser Permanente, a nonprofit charitable organization created last year according to a news release to improve access to value-based care and to close health care gaps. The Cone Health name, brand, mission, board, CEO, leadership and staff will not change. Cone has more than 13,000 employees and 2,500 physicians and partners managing and coordinating care for around 200,000 patients in Rockingham and four neighboring counties.
