Shoboy After Party 74

I'm Royal Oaks, next time on Too Many Lawyers, a Trump criminal trial is on. But did the DA commit a huge blunder by getting the judge to let the DA use a laundry list of Trump's sins if he takes the stand? The order may keep him from testifying, which may prevent his conviction. On the lighter side, Disneyland's beloved goofy has been sued for battery. Listen to Too Many Lawyers on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Mark Goodman, welcome. And I'm Alan Light. On today's podcast, we'll talk with some of the just announced 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Lou Graham of Barnard, and Peter Frampton. Plus, we'll discuss the new Taylor Swift albums and now a report from our Metal Bureau with a review of the Junist Priest Show, our new music picks of the week, and remembering Almond Brothers guitarist Tiki Betz. Sound up with Mark Goodman and Alan Light. Get it on Pandora. Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Bienvenis Al Aftabadi. What up, Bremavana? Alis. Cib. Alah. Eddy. Hey, me, Cho. Let's do this. Thank you so much for hanging out with us again. So we left you pending, if you heard yesterday's Afterparty show, we have some good news to share with you about Kim and Eddy's relationship. And we shared it on the live show today, but we're going to expand on the Afterparty. And we're going to give a shout out to SeatGeek for sponsoring our podcast, showing a lot to love to them. For me, the next time you buy concert tickets, sporting event tickets, make sure you get them on SeatGeek.com or on SeatGeek app because you get $20 off your first purchase when you type in our promo code, which is fun. F-U-N, because we want you to have some fun. All right, so a little bit of context. Kim and Eddy have been dating for almost two years. Yes. They are saving themselves till marriage to be able to have sex. And like I said on the live show, I'm super proud of you, Kim and Eddy, because that's very unusual nowadays. Yes. Super rare. Super rare. We're not so rare when you have La Cara D'Eddie. Oh, yeah. Usually you're a virgin, not by choice, it's just not the kind of that, you know? Yeah. It's practicing celibacy. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Since when? Oh, since, since, since, since, since when I say October last year. Are we cutting away? No. No, we're not. Okay. Wait. Wait, hold on. Are you guys trying to define sex right now? I guess we can go there. I kind of count away a little bit because you guys didn't go all the way in Hawaii. No, we didn't. But it was definitely out of the character that I'm not trying to be in. Right. Right. So I guess should we count it? Thank you, Eddie. October! No, I'm not. I'm not going to know. There's, uh, Edgar said there's loopholes and stuff. No. There's a hold where? I heard it. Yeah. Oh, right? Yes. Edgar said there's loopholes and I kind of wanted to piggyback off of that. Shaboya. Shaboya. I wanted piggyback off that when we get into what we're going to expand on. Also, there's this thing called soaking that I'm not going to take. Oh, I heard about that. Is that the? Because obviously I'm not going to. We're not going to set a dry humping. Is there a TikTok going on? Let's not say the religion because we're not going to group them. No, I didn't say the religion. But yes, the soaking is basically, I mean, say, "Boy, I'm not going to start that in graphic." You just don't move it. We put it in. You soak, Eddie's soaking. You soak it. Okay. I thought that was interesting because that's like full on doing it. You're pointing it in, huh? Not a loophole. It's doing it without the movement. Well, don't tell us who created that. But anyways, let's just move on to the point. I didn't do nothing. I didn't move it. I know. It's like literally you did it. Kim, all I want to know is like, "I'm going to go suck." How is that popping up on your 4U page? Because I'm actually really big into learning about a whole lot of religions. We passed over to any of our listeners that celebrated. Last month was Ramada and Edemul Bark. So, yeah, I'm on this new religion came up on my 4U page and I was learning about sucky. Yeah, I don't know how that came up on mine too. Yeah. But it came up on mine. Because both of you are not getting it. That's why it pops up on your... It's true. ...because of everything else you're exploring. I don't want to know your 4U page. I don't want to know your 4U page. I don't have a 4U page. I have a 4U page. I know in real life. Thank you very much. Anyways, let me get to the point. Get back. The good news is this. I'm proud of Kim and Eddy that they're saving themselves to marriage because I think that builds stronger relationships. My very personal point of view, Eddy and Kim, you guys are doing it because of your faith in God and what the Bible says and because you want to build a stronger connection with the person for who they are and not just be with them because of the sex. Right? So I think that's really cool. So congratulations on that. With that being said, Eddy Kim's so lit. Live at home. Kim's like, "So good." That's a nod. Is that about to change religion? No. Kim and Eddy, here's their situation. Eddy's allowed to spend the night at Kim's house with her parents there but in a different room. Yeah. Eddy is 29. Still lives at home as well. Kim is 24, lives at home but Kim is not allowed to spend the night at Eddy's house even if it's in a different room, different floor, backyard, camping, nothing but this weekend, your dad gave you some good news, Kim, that you are now allowed to spend the night in the same, under the same roof as Eddy as long as it's not the same bed. That's huge. Your mom is not that big of a fan of it. No. So that's going to be interesting there. Who do you think is going to win now when you're dad or your mom? My mom, it's more of Kewa desi lahinte. It's not really that she doesn't trust me or Eddy, it's more Kewa desi lahinte. Right. And Eddy, how do you feel about this? Because yesterday when you guys first told us but we didn't decide to share yet, Kim was really excited about it and you weren't. Yeah. It's because I thought I heard other, I didn't know that her dad said it was cool for her coming over to my house and stuff. Eddy, how come Kim tells us about all these experiences that both of you guys have but you don't remember any of them? Because he stays on that phone. Yeah. Sometimes I'm on my phone. He's on his phone literally 90% of the time and he's talking to my parents while on the phone and I have to text him. No. Eddy, please get off your phone. Eddy, give it a win sign. I know. You've been raised way better than that. Is that true story, Eddy? No, that's fine. Yeah. It's alright, Eddy. I know. Yeah, you're working on it. You're working on it. Like they'll talk to him and he doesn't hear because he's on his phone. I'm always tapping him, Eddy, Devlin, Eddy, Devlin, Eddy, Devlin. And then I'm just like, sometimes I just give up. He's got this though. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm working on it. Dude. He's the middle child. You're a middle child? Yes, I am. Eddy, imagine me being on your phone while your parents are trying to talk to you. Oh, hell. Like I would never do that. I know. I'm working on it. I don't even take on my phone when we eat together. Like, consul familia. Even my family. I always never take on my phone hardly ever. I can relate to that too, Eddy, because one of my friends actually recently told me that too because I was looking down at where we were hanging out and I looked down at my phone and they're like, "Yo, what's so important on your phone?" And I'm like, "Oh, a message came through," and then they're like, "Oh, do you want to get it?" And I was like, "No, it's fine." And then I looked down again and they're like, "Oh, dude, what the heck is on your phone?" And then at that point, it was like an Instagram notification. And they're like, "Dude, do you have a notification for every single app?" And I'm like, "Well, yeah, because of the work that I do." Right. Yes, I have some accounts that I have notifications for or just when I get a DM or whatever, you know? It's a good place, though. It's nothing is ever that urgent, especially if you're in front of like, you know, you're having a formal dinner or anything like that. Yeah. I just feel like nothing is ever that important. It can always hold off, especially when you're driving too. I try not to be on my phone. I don't know. Why? Why? I mean, just hearing Kim talk for the last five minutes, I would be on my phone too. Me too. If I was hanging out with her. Me too. I'm like, "I'm going to go see either your booty shorts." In the soccer game. It's crazy. No, but at least you're, Kim, you're healthy in the relationship that you brought it up to him. Yes. And you, Eddie, that you're like, "I'm working on it." Yes. And that's it. You can't change it overnight, but... Exactly. And Kim, you brought her up in a very kind way. Mm-hmm. I really want to commend you on that. Thank you. I mean, at least in front of us. Why? I don't know. I was like, "Right." No, I literally... Yeah, I don't know what the text is saying. No, I don't know. What came to my parents? He's on his phone. How am I going to say in front of them, "Eddie, put your phone down?" Oh. So I was like, "The only way to get through to him right now is to text him. Please put your phone down." Can you describe Eddie's face once he saw your text come through as he's on his phone, having a conversation with your parents? Let us know. Coming up next. Eddie's having a conversation in person with your parents. Your dad's talking to him, but he's on his phone. So you text him basically, bro, pay attention to my parents. Please describe his face. So my dad's like, what do you think about this? Silent. And I'm like literally multiple times. And then I'm just like, like I just text him. And he looks at his phone, laughs and he goes, yeah, it's because I'm doing something. Put it down and then continues to pick it up throughout. And I'm just like, I don't know what else to do. But maybe he is doing something though. No, I would forgive if it was one time, but it's every time. And I think if nothing is ever that important. Like even if it was with his parents and I had to do something, I'm going to go to the bathroom and do it really fast as fast as possible. So I'm not on the phone. But I really sometimes would work. I think the point Kim is trying to make is I understand that Eddie is very busy. Right. With social media campaigns that he does and so on and so forth. Sure. For Charlotte Pirlin and our show and stuff like that, that Eddie does a great job for. But I think what Kim is trying to get across is like, hey, while you're in front of my parents and they're speaking with you. Like be present. That is a respect though that they're not talking to a wall. And if something is pending that you got to do work, it would look really good if you said, ah, this could have been one of my parents and they're speaking with you. Like be present. That is a respect though that they're not talking to a wall. And if something is pending that you got to do work, it would look really good if you said, ah, this could have been one of my parents and they're speaking with you. Like be present. That is a respect though that they're not talking to a wall. What are you doing to work on it? Yeah, I'm going to work on it. Like I'm not going to do that anymore and I'm sorry that I was doing that. And like even in front of people, let's say I'm in a place where I shouldn't be on my phone, I put it on do not disturb. I don't see any notifications, nothing bothering me in that moment and I'm present. Let me do it now. I don't even know how to do that. She's like, how do you do it on the focus? Oh, do not disturb you. I keep my phone face down. You can even face down it. It's a personal, which is a feature that I love to use. It's right underneath the do not disturb. And that means that only certain calls from certain people will come through. So say you're like, okay, well, I need to answer. My mom's calling me. You can set it. So only your mom's texts and calls will come through. So I would do it like if Janet were to call me or something like that. Yes, exactly. So that way you're still present, but you're still have that window open for something important to come through. I tell Janet, my wife, if it's something that it's an emergency and I'm at work, call me twice back to back. And that's what I know. Like the signal. She's really trying to get a hold of me. Hey, you know, saying hi or like we communicate a lot. Really quickly. Yeah. I just know like, oh, dang, she called me twice or three times or something like that. Then I really need to step aside. So that's awesome. This was such a healthy conversation, guys. I agree. Eddie and Kim are proud of you. And Eddie, what steps are you taking to? To not do that anymore? Yeah. Well, next time I'm not going to pull my phone. Oh, okay. What if it buzzes? What if it rings and then go to the restroom? It's going to be hard. Yeah. Or I mean, you can't. I do go to the restroom. I do go to the restroom. You know, like put the notification on your apple watch and if it's Theo or the other Theo. That's still very distracting. Yeah. Like you're looking because he stops his conversation, looks at it, reads it, is thinking. And then while they're talking to him, he doesn't say anything. I'm literally, Eddie, they're talking to you. Eddie, they're talking to you. Looks up and says, "Sorry, what?" Eddie! I'm working on this bed. My dad is talking about this family. No, stop, Kim. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's still really bad. No, I'm sorry. I'm working on it. Yeah, he's working on it. The damage is done. There's only moving forward. Dude, okay. I got two. Eddie, you want to know something? I'm going to spend the night with you full and you're ignoring him. No, we're doing it. Maybe that's why he was schooled and he's like, "No, I don't know what I'm hearing." No, guys, my mom. It'll be on his phone. Oh, Eddie, I'm sorry. Kim dresses as a salar, Kim. Kim dresses as a salar. Benham and Wayne! Kim did a real salar, bro. Dude, my mom thought that Eddie had hearing problems. I knew. You're helping us. No, he definitely does. But she said, "I think he has hearing problems." But also, he is distracted most of the time. So, that could be a portion of it too. And that's why we went to ear-kindling, guys, because my mom thought that he had hearing problems. I do, I do. And has she said anything after the fan? She said he does have hearing problems, but he's also very distracted most of the time. And I said, "Yeah, he is." That's it. Kim's looking up at her mom. I know. Welcome to my life, like, when I repeat myself, "Oh, it's okay though." But, you know, that's your man's. Yes. Yeah, I did my part by taking him to ear-kindling if that was a problem. It wasn't. And I think, also too, like, she voice that, like, sorry to cut you off, Eddie. Like, the way you're bringing it up, I feel like, Hela, maybe you and the past would have been like, "Get off your phone!" Or, you know, maybe approached it differently. Yes, that's the phone. Yeah, I've just been like, "What?" Right. What's more important? Eddie, what were you gonna say? No, yes, I was. Yeah, I forgot. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. Oh, my God. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. Oh, my God. He was on his phone. Oh, my God. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. He was on his phone. Oh, my God. He was on his phone. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Especially 'cause Eddie's a little brother is gonna be going to college out of state. And so they're thinking about doing a road trip with them, and Kim wants to go. Think of the content. That'd be so good. Yeah, that'd be fun. That's good. (speaks in foreign language) I don't know. (speaks in foreign language) Everyone's gonna be on. What was that? I was like, "Why old?" Actually, I do care about the DRAM because, like, did your family, like, ever talk about you or, like, anything like that? Like, the OSTS cousins about you and Janet sleeping over, or, like, her family? Like, what are you saying that moment? Like, most of the people, not the one that care when you're like, "Hey, this is a whole something we're doing. Like, we're not doing any of that." Exactly. No one's gonna have, everyone has opinions like the ear. They're gonna say, "Oh, I'm gonna say, "I can't say that, but I'm gonna go and cook one little." Yeah, yeah. Yeah, whatever. And you're like, "Dude, that's not the case. Like, I don't know how else to explain it to you." Do you boo? That's it. Yeah. Look, Janet and I also saved ourselves to a marriage. And that's just the problems we made to God and made to each other. And people knew that at the same time, if people doubted that, because we were dating long distance, in the third year of our relationship, we dated long distance from California to Texas. So she would fly in to, for the weekend, once a month or so, it would fly her out. And if people questioned that, then that's on them. You know what I'm saying? You know, our promise was with God, and her parents knew, my parents knew, and they knew where our relationship was going, you know, which is ultimately marriage. And that's it, you know? Yeah. At the end of the day, like we said on the show, if the worry is that, "Oh, my gosh, they're gonna say we're hooking up where we're smashing." Guys, let's be honest, people smash in the backseat of cars. They talked about that. Parks, but I might have mentioned the bush one time. The beach in Hawaii. Not all the way. She gets soaked in. I guess we have some stuff, right? Yeah, dude. So, what's the burst? If you really want to get it in, you're gonna get it in no matter what. And probably you guys can make it. And when they came over to California to visit, we had them sleep in separate rooms because they weren't married. Even though they were already living together. Like, what's the point? But that's how strong El Kediran is. Oh, this is what I was gonna tell you guys. Yeah. Yeah. So, this is what I was gonna tell you guys. Yeah. I'm gonna tell you guys. Okay. Okay. So, what's the point? Yes. Your friend's girlfriend. Yeah. So, my friend was in one of those relationships where La Novia and her parents would invite them to vacation. Like, Atreitel Novio. You know? Like, there goes the boyfriend with the girlfriend and the family. And like, he said that there's one time what they would do is the parents would sleep like in the living room with them. Oh, look at that. Does that make sense? Like, everybody. Oh, hell no. So, to keep an eye. Yeah, but you're all vacationing. You're sleeping in the living room? Like, I'd rather be on the bed. I mean, I don't know. That's just how it worked out. Yeah, they made it work. They made it work, right? I don't know who was like a natural bedroom or whatever. Right. I don't know how they worked out, but meaning that there was always somebody around from the family that La Novia and he said he ended up hooking up with the mom. No. What the heck? And nobody found out. You're lying. No. Yes, I'm lying. No, no. Wait, you are? Yeah, I'm lying. I believed it. No, no, but he did say he did say he smashed. He definitely found ways to get it in. Yeah. There's totally ways. Super quiet. And he said it made it even more exciting. What? They both had to be super quiet because there was a middle of the night and they're under the covers or whatever in the living room and nobody ever found out. That is nuts. And in the room, in the vicinity, the parents of his girlfriend were there. What? You've done that, honey? Yeah. What the hell? In Sacramento. Well, I didn't sneak in because when I went in to his house, everyone was awake and I said hi to people. I met people and then we hung out. We watched the game and then we watched a movie and then we were just chilling on the couch and we couldn't go to his room because he shared a room with his brother and then, yeah, we just ended up, I stayed on the couch like we were just on the couch and then I remember a door opening. Oh, honey. Yeah, dude. I got freaked out. I'm not going to lie. And I don't remember what the heck I did. I don't think I just kept going. I don't remember what I did. I literally do not remember what I did, but you didn't get caught. That's the point. Oh, I mean, no, it's not like anyone came to do his mom, his uncle, nobody. It's not like anyone was like, hey, what are you guys doing? Scary times. Yeah, I know. Maybe they just heard, but they're like, dude, whatever, like, this is more awkward for me to go and put it down. I know, right? But the point I'm trying to get across is that it's possible. If people want to get it in, they're going to get it in one way or another. The important thing we'll wrap up with this, no pun intended, the important thing here is that, you know, we as parents, for those of you that are listening to our parents, we just got instilled the right principles, values of how we hope our daughters and sons are going to be when they grow up. Yeah. But then at the end of the day, that's all we can do. It's going to be up to them to make the decision. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Why do you look doubtful, Pron? Because I'm like, dude, that's probably my parents to me and then like, just, it's tripping to think about, you know what I mean? But did your parents ever have like a chill conversation with you about that or were they just like, no, it's a saliren, but a salad. No, my parents never talked about it. They tell this day, it's very awkward, you know what I mean? One of my aunts was the one that gave me the birds and the bees talk, you know, the crazy hat. But, yeah. The one that has a hell of baby daddy? Yeah. The one that has a hell of baby daddy. They've made her talk to you about it? Yeah. I don't do this. It's like crazy. You don't want to. That's like having mutual. Like mutual, yeah. Which is good. Right. And that's one of those like, oh, I can know. So you don't know about your dear or whatever. And we'll send her name. He's like, don't, because then you're going to have to pay hell his child support. Which he doesn't. But yeah, I get what you're saying. No, they don't. But even the thing about my parents, they were young in their relationship. And they, I feel like they did do little overnighters. I need to ask them because the math is a mathing, because they were together super young too. At least for us and no judgment on any other parents, right? Like we're going to figure out, obviously our daughters are seven and five right now. Yeah. But we already have like open conversations with them about their private parts and meaning, hey, this is private and it's called the private part for a reason because it's only for you. And if anybody ever touches you here, it doesn't matter who it is. You can always come to us. We're not going to be mad. You just let us know. But nobody should touch you there because it's your private part. And as they get older, we definitely want to talk to them about sex, you know, and the blessings that there are in saving yourself, the drama that you can avoid, the heartbreak. Like growing up, I saw a lot of my friends that were women in high school that were already having sex. Just heartbroken guys, because dudes would use them and straight up just throw them out like a paper plate. I saw it in middle school and I saw it right now in my life, I have friends that are going through it bad because they're going through life just conona conotro conotro. And literally. Hey, what's up, you've seen her. You've seen her. I showed you a pic. Her name star with a T. Yes. She's like, me too. She drives the me maybe on a slow night. She has her own place. So you could slide through. But you were saying, Kim, you see it. Yeah, I see it. And I don't know how to bring it to her because she's not necessarily religious. So her saving herself is not for a religious reason, but I try to explain. Speaking about phones, but I try to explain to her like you, you realize that you are so much more heartbroken, like I'm not telling you, you can't date guys. You can date as many as you want. Just don't go sleep with them because not so soon, not like the first month or first day. And it's crazy because it's like, how do I explain to you, like this is the cause for the turmoil in your life, not only your break, but the way that it drags you down, like she has so many soul ties. It's like, how do you break that? It's just adding to her. And it's so hard as a friend to like, not judge her, but want to steer her in the right direction. Right. And by the way, shout out to you and all kinds of love to you. If you are out in these streets listening to us, talking right now, you're like, F you guys, I love smashing and getting it in. And I'll do it however I want, whenever I want, whoever I want. That's fine. See. And like, I want to, I want to be like, help her too and say, Hey girl, do you. But the problem is, when you move like a guy smashing con Una con ultra, when you move like Mitchell, but you have feelings like a girl where you are crying right after he goes to you. That's the issue. You can't move like me, without having feelings like me. What? Catch us. Do these not feelings? That's what I say. Oh, that's gross, bro. Yeah. Look, if you're constantly sad because guys leave you and you're giving it up. And maybe that's a way to protect your heart a little bit, right? Like don't give it up right away and just see what happens because unfortunately nine out of 10 guys are probably going to leave if you don't give it up within the first three dates period, which is not like what the hell speaking of breath. So anyways, no judgment guys. We're just sharing our life journey with you as we try to do life with you. We appreciate you that get emo's mucho. But congrats, Kim and Eddie. Thank you. Congrats. Congrats. Primavana on celibacy since October. Thank you. Thank you. I'm leaking. Soak and wet. I'm leaking. Yo, also a fun fact today is my ex boyfriend's birthday and I don't know why it's still on my calendar. Should I text them? It's a sign. Ask him if he's down a soak. It doesn't count if it's with your ex. If you hook up. And last time I texted him was in 2023. Damn. 2022. Damn, honey. Two years ago. Two years. I'm texting. Alright, we got to go. Love you. Bye. One, two. Hola. Thank you for listening to my dad and she's a boy show. What? You guys have to get emo's boot show to boy. Hey there.
