The UN humanitarian aid agency says hundreds of thousands of people would be at imminent risk of death if Israel carries out its promised assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafa, a critical entry point for aid and filled with displaced Palestinians. Meantam Karan-Shamas has the latest on ceasefire talks. "Eleaked truth proposal between Israel and Hamas chase lines of compromises by both parties. The proposal comes after months of talks. Hamas has said it will send a delegation to Cairo as soon as possible." The development comes as an Israeli strike on the southern Gaza town of Rafa killed several people, for most of them children. Loved ones touched the face of a teenager whose lifeless body lay in a partially open body bag on the floor by the destroyed building. Israel has regularly carried out airstrikes on Rafa and has threatened to send in ground troops, over a million Palestinians have sought refuge in the city on the Egyptian border. The United States and others have urged Israel not to invade, fearing a humanitarian catastrophe. I'm Karan-Shamas.
