This is AP News. I'm Rita Falle. Police moved in to clear an encampment at New York University this morning. The school says it asked for the help. Since Anawar protests began at colleges and universities across the nation, there have been nearly 2,200 arrests. Some colleges are hiring extra security for commencement ceremonies this weekend. Donald Trump's hush money trial resumes this morning. Will he testify at some point during the trial? The AP's Donna Warder. Thursday before proceedings, he claimed he can't testify. I'm not allowed to testify because of an unconstitutional gag order. We're appealing the gag order. The gag order is to stop Trump from making certain comments outside the trial. I'm Donna Warder. We've been waiting for the jobs report this morning, and here it is. Employers scaled back their hiring in April, adding 175,000 jobs in the face of higher borrowing rates, the latest there on jobs. Trouble on the highway part of I-95 in Connecticut will be closed four days because of a three vehicle crash involving a tanker truck. Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt, but this is a major highway on the east coast. The AP's Pat Eaton Rob is in Connecticut. The biggest problem will be shipping product. Obviously, this is the major artery into and out of New England. They will be able to ship things. They may have to do a lot more by rail. They may have to go through long island sound on actual ships. Or they're going to have to have the trucks make big detours. And of course, the more time that you spend shipping, the bigger the economic impact is on your company and eventually on consumers. Heavy rain in the Houston areas forced the evacuation of some residents there. Officials are warning that things could get worse even in some areas already hit hard. Apple's reporting a 10% drop in iPhone sales for the start of the year. The January through March period. This is AP News. Now to a Kentucky Derby winner, a champion and a life of leisure. The oldest living winner of the Kentucky Derby is living a life of leisure at a retirement farm in Kentucky. Silver Charm won the Derby in 1997. Gary Stevens was his jockey. He stuck his ears back again and flattened his head out and found another gear and it felt like we could have gone around again and nobody was going to get fine. Silver Charm won the Preakness 2 but didn't get the Triple Crown at the Belmont. A three-year-old then is now 30. He's living at Michael Blowen's old friend's farm and is treated like royalty. Silver Charm only has four teeth left and so he can't chew the big cookies. So now Mrs. Pastures provides us 200 pounds of crumbs. Silver Charm poses for pictures.
