This is AP News, I'm Rita Falle. Some Houston area residents have been warned to evacuate after heavy rains flooded street stranded drivers and shut down schools. The area could see flooding like what tropical storm Amelna caused in 2019. It dumped more than 40 inches of rain in some areas. In the northeast part of one of the busiest highways in the nation is shut down after a three vehicle crash that included a tanker truck filled with gasoline. Part of I-95 in Connecticut is expected to remain closed for days. The AP's Pat Eaton-Rob is there. This is the main artery that links New York and New England. On Thursday jurors listened to a secret recording made by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. Cohen tells Trump about a plan to buy the rights from the national enquirer to former playboy model Karen McDougall's story about an alleged affair with Trump. Trump has heard suggesting the payment be made with cash. Cohen, who served time in prison after paying porn actor Stormy Daniels $130,000 for her silence, has yet to testify. Trump has denied any affair, and on Thursday before proceedings, he claimed he can't testify. I'm not allowed to testify because of an unconstitutional gag order. We're appealing the gag order. The gag order is to stop Trump from making certain comments outside the trial. I'm Donna Warder. Some major universities are hiring extra security for commencement ceremonies this weekend after those anti-war protests. This is AP News. Now to that, a rangutan who apparently treated himself after getting injured. Researchers in Indonesia have observed an orangutan who had a raw, ugly wound on his right cheek, apparently treated successfully using leaves from a medicinal plant, when used by people throughout Southeast Asia to treat pain and inflammation. The scientists believe the adult male, named Rakus, may have sustained the wound in a fight with another animal. In the journal Scientific Reports, they report observing him pluck and chew the plant's leaves, use his fingers to apply the juices to the injury, then press the remainder to cover the open wound like a makeshift bandage. Photos show it healed within a month without problems. Previous research has documented several species of great apes foraging for medicines. Scientists hadn't yet seen an animal treat itself this way. I'm Ben Thomas. Peloton is cutting about 400 jobs. I'm Rita Folle, AP News. Let's hit it! Give me a vacation! Give me a wave! Surfing!
