AP News. I'm Ben Toss. Hamas has accepted an Egyptian Qatari proposal for a ceasefire with Israel, but Sakamogani says it's far from settled. Israel says the pitch is far from its essential demands, but it will still send negotiators to keep talking. Here at the White House, National Security spokesman John Kirby says CIA Director Bill Burns is combing through the proposal. He's talking to the Israelis about it. Israel says it will also keep operating in Gaza at the same time. After its war cabinet approved, a Rafa operation Israeli jets started strikes, Sagar Megani at the White House. Another $1,000 fine for Donald Trump at his Hushmani trial and a warning of jail time for future gag order violations meantime, Julie Walker on the testimony. Former Trump organization controller Jeffrey McConnie testified about reimbursing Michael Cohen for $130,000. He paid to a lawyer for Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougall, who said they had sex with Trump, which he denies. McConnie said, "Henry notes from former Trump finance chief Alan Weisselberg about reimbursing Cohen. We're stapled to the bank statement in the company's files, adding the money coming from Trump's personal bank account. The former president accused of falsifying business records by labeling the money as legal fees. Prosecutors say by paying it as income and giving extra for taxes, Trump execs were able to conceal the reimbursement. Trump denies the charges. Julie Walker, New York. Researchers have identified a genetic form of latent life Alzheimer's disease. Lisa Dwyer has details. A gene called APOE4 has long been considered a key risk factor for Alzheimer's. New research says if people inherit two copies of that gene, it's not just risk. It appears to be the underlying cause. About 15 percent of Alzheimer's patients are thought to carry the gene pair. Most cases of Alzheimer's occur after age 65, but this research suggests that those with the gene pair can begin symptoms 7 to 10 years sooner. I'm Lisa Dwyer.
