This is AP News, I'm Rita Falle. We'll begin with this fierce weather across the nation, big thunderstorms and heavy rain still possible in the already battered southeast through today, Friday. In the west, two skiers died and one was rescued after they were buried in an avalanche Thursday in the mountains outside of Salt Lake City, the AP's Lisa Dwyer. As officials develop plans on how to retrieve the bodies of the two skiers that were killed, Utah Avalanche Center forecaster Craig Gordon says that in the past three days, there was over 30 inches of snow with over three inches of water in big and little cottonwood canyon. This is dense, heavy snow. This isn't the kind of snow that makes our license plates famous. Gordon says that the area is not for beginners. This is very serious terrain, it's steep, it's north facing, the crew that was up there would have to be experienced sound courtesy KTVX. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is brushing off warnings from President Biden about going into Rafa in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu says, if we have to stand alone, we will stand alone, the AP's Sagar Magani. The Biden administration is warning Israel would hand Hamas a strategic victory by carrying out an all-out assault on Rafa. The town is Hamas's last major Gaza stronghold and it's where more than a million Palestinian civilians are sheltering. President Biden has threatened to halt more offensive aid to Israel if it goes through with a major operation in Rafa. An investigation is underway after authorities in Florida released body camera video showing a deputy outside of Fort Walton Beach apartment door firing when the door was opened by a black man carrying a handgun pointed downward. The man was the U.S. Air Force senior airman Roger Fortson. His family calls his killing unjustifiable. This is AP News. Now to 81-year-old Brian Wilson, the founder of the Beach Boys, who's taking medication for dementia, according to a doctor's statement in February. The AP's Marjis Arletta, with the latest. A judge has appointed two longtime employees to manage a conservatorship for musician Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gus T. May has named publicist Gene Severs and manager Lee Ann Hard to oversee a conservatorship to manage Brian Wilson's personal and medical decisions. Wilson's family asked for the arrangement after his wife Melinda died in January. A court appointed attorney who represents Wilson's interests says Wilson consents to the arrangement. He says Wilson, who is 81, is aware of time and place, but he can only name the two of his seven children who live with him. May granted a request from Wilson's daughters, singers Carney and Wendy Wilson, to be included on medical decisions. Our next question is, "How do you get your help?" and we'll see you in the next video. Bye bye. Happy and you know it. San Diego is the place to show it. Book your trip at San Diego.org.
