In the courtroom, jurors were watching this almost like a tennis match, swiveling their heads from the lawyer asking questions to Daniels responding. Several were jotting notes. Trump, who had cursed and sneered throughout the first day of testimony from Daniels, appeared calmer too. He looked straight ahead and watched as she continued to answer questions about the sexual encounter she says happened in the aftermath. Whether or not jurors believe Daniels' story, the case is about falsifying business records and whether payments she received were made to illegally influence the 2016 election. Harvey Weinstein will remain in a New York jail while he awaits a retrial in a rape case. California had requested his extradition to continue serving a prison sentence fair. Norman Hall has the latest on the prosecution of Hunter Biden. A request to dismiss the federal gun case against Hunter Biden has been rejected by an appeals court in Philadelphia. A three-member panel of the court said it doesn't have jurisdiction to review the matter. In order shortly after that ruling came down, a federal judge in Delaware said the case would proceed to trial on June 3. Judge Mary Ellen Noreka was appointed to the bench by former President Donald Trump, later denied another bid to dismiss the case that challenged the constitutionality of the central gun charge. The president's son is accused of lying in 2018 about his drug use on a form to buy a gun that he kept for about 11 days in Delaware. I'm Norman Hall. This is AP News. More reigns expected in southern Brazil already dealing with deadly flooding. The southern city of Portorelegre is engulfed with floodwater. Authorities in southern Brazil rushed to rescue survivors of the massive flooding that has killed at least a hundred people. More than 230,000 people have been displaced and much of the region has been isolated by floodwaters. Dozens of displaced people have crowded into a warehouse in Portorelegre for shelter from the floods. 68-year-old Eitorda Silva told the AP I only took my documents, three shirts, two underwear and my flip-flops.
