18 News. I'm Adoniki. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says a U.S. threat to withhold some arms would not stop Israel from continuing its offensive in Rafa. Netanyahu says Israel is ready to stand alone. National security spokesman John Kirby says President Biden was worried about the use of big weaponry and its potential impact on civilians. The use of that particular type of weapons gave him a great concern. Idaho Republican Senator Jim Risch says this is a horrible mistake. What the president has done is handed a great victory to Mahas here. It's going to invigorate the fighting that they're doing in Nagaza and it's going to stop the negotiations that have been ongoing. Israel says Rafa is the last stronghold of Hamas. Stormy Daniels wrapped up her testimony in New York in the Hush Money trial of former President Donald Trump. The AP's Michael Sisak reports there was tension during cross-examination. Daniel stood firm, poised and strong as Trump lawyer Susan Necklace tried to find inconsistencies in her story about what she says was a sexual encounter with Donald Trump at Lake Tahoe in 2006. Daniels denied changing her story. This is a trial about money changing hands, business transactions and whether those payments were made to illegally influence the 2016 election. A federal appeals court ruled Hunter Biden's federal gun case should move forward, setting the stage for the president's son to stand trial on criminal charges next month in Delaware. The AP's soccer McGony reports the hot job market may be softening. The number of Americans filing jobless claims last week at the highest level in eight months. 231,000, up 22,000 from a week earlier. Adam Montgomery, a New Hampshire man convicted of killing his five-year-old daughter and moving her corpse around for months after disposing it was sentenced to a minimum of 56 years in prison.
