[MUSIC PLAYING] Better strap yourself in. It's time for the Howie Car Show. You know, I have family coming in who I have to let them know to not come to my graduation. [LAUGHTER] We are laughing. I mean, I'm a 2020 high school grad, so I wasn't able to walk then. [LAUGHTER] And so I'm not able to walk now. Sad. They're sad. Sad. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. Stop the hammering. Stop the hammering out there. Who's got a hammer? Just stop. Yes, it's all right. [INAUDIBLE] We must just stop oil. Shut up, old lady. More independent said that they worry about President Biden weakening democracy then Trump. What do you make of this? I am shocked. Love at that shock. Rump swabs, hacks, and moon bats beware. It's Howie Car. R. Welcome to the Howie Car Show. If you would like to join us, the number is always 844, 500, 42, 42, 844, 500, 42. We'll have with us the turtle boy, turtle boy, Aiden Kearney at 433. He was thrown out of court today. Well, he was removed from court, not for anything he did, but because he supposedly intimidated witnesses. This is what you call a good career move for. Now, he gets to say he wasn't court. He was all morning, and now he doesn't have to go back. They'll let him back in for the boring testimonies, what it boils down to. But he can't be allowed to intimidate, quote, unquote, anyone. And so now he becomes a martyr, and he gets to still cover the trial just in the comfort of his own or wherever he wants to. And if he gets tired of the testimony, he gets boring. He can check his email or go get himself a cup of coffee or take a walk around the block. I mean, it's better to be outside the courtroom, ultimately, if you can still cover the trial, as I learned during the Whiting Bulger trial. These are sometimes, as the trial wore on, sometimes would be I'll be downstairs just goofing off and watching the trial and taking notes and reading the paper and chatting. And the court officers will come down. We've got two seats. Anyone want to come up? Anyone want to come up to the courtroom? Don't everybody raise your hands at once? You know, it's one thing when the jury comes back or when two weeks is on the stands or the rifleman. But there's a lot of boring testimony in any trial. All right, 844, 542, 42, 844. Looks like the hippies are being routed across the country today, they're using it. The Friday slow news day to get rid of a lot of these rents at hippie Nazi encampments across the nation. And it's just as well. And I just heard that woman during that graduate talking about, she missed her high school graduation. And now she's going to miss her college graduation. Well, I missed my college graduation on purpose because it wasn't mandatory. So why the hell would I want to go? As for my high school graduation, let me just tell that girl. You didn't miss much. You didn't miss much. Come on. If this is the worst tragedy to befall you in your early adult life, you've had a pretty sheltered existence, which I think is pretty much-- you could say that-- of all of them. 844, 500, 42, 42. There was a story this morning about this-- one of the young hippies who defaced and was arrested for vandalizing the World War I Memorial in Central Park in New York City, 16 years old. And supposedly was turned in by his father. And I thought that might have been a good poll question. Would you turn in your kid for something like this? And I thought about it. And well, it turns out to be a moot point because cops have since refuted that, according to the New York Post. He was not turned in by his father. But would you turn in your kid for something like that? And I thought about-- first I said, yeah, I would do that. Then I thought, seriously, now that I think about it, I probably wouldn't. But you know what I would say? I'm not going to alibi for you. I'm not going to lie for you. And if you get caught, it's on you. And I'm not going to help you out. You deal with it. It's really terrible. But that's-- I don't know. Would you turn in your kid if he did something like that? 844, 542, 42. Again, I'm working on the Jerry and Jullo project. And there's one line where he goes, you know, who said, would a father turn in his-- would you turn in your father? He's talking to Jerry and Jullo, the mafia boss, talking to Jason. Would you turn in your father? You know, we've had fathers end up in Lewisburg or Leavenworth for their sons. And then his voice starts rising. He goes, there'll be none of that here. You will be men or you will be mice. You'll be a man. You'll take the rap. 508 says, I would turn in my kid after I beat the bleep out of him. Ah, come on. You're not going to-- that's easy to say. But you wouldn't beat the bleep out of him. I wonder if you would turn-- I wonder how many people would turn their kids in. This is one of those questions where it's hard to-- it would be hard to be a poll question because everybody would sort of say things that weren't true. Just take the stand. Yes, it's what's right is to rat them out. I don't think most people would. 844, 542, 512-- I'm happy I got to skip my college graduation in 2020. They're for parents and losers who can't move on. See, but the thing is, if you've got a kid that wants to graduate or wants to put on the cap and gown, you really can't say no. You have to go or then you become the bad parent or the bad friend or uncle or aunt, whatever. So you've got to go. 844, 542, 42, 617. Remember the movie, the bad seed. Yep, if the crime was horrific, I certainly would. But again, I mean, vandalizing a war memorial in a public place or anywhere, actually. That's pretty horrible. But do you want the kid to have a criminal record? Because in this case, this may be one of those rare instances in New York City where you might actually get a charge with a crime and convict that you wouldn't have to go to jail, but it would be on your record. So I don't know, 603. I'd kill my kid for the facing that monument. Was the 16-year-old's vandals' mother reached for a comment? Actually, she was. Here she is. He's a good boy, a very good boy. Yeah, yeah. And he spelled gazza right, too. So there's that in his favor. I mean, I'm like the hippie Nazis in Ontario who misspelled Palestine earlier this week. 844, 542, 42, 844, 542, 42. Now, we might as well do the one Brandon cut that we've got today. He was with some female basketball team. I guess one of the WNBA team. And one of their top players, Candace Parker. I don't know who she is. Brandon doesn't know who she is. But if she was coming into the studio, I would know who she was. But Brandon doesn't worry about things like that. Or he's incapable of worrying about things like this. So he tries to lionize this player. And he calls her a coach. But of course, she's never coached. But here it is. Here's our Brandon cut for the day, unless he steps out. Cut 16. While she couldn't be here, I want to acknowledge someone who'll be considered one of the greatest all-time coaches, Candace Parker. She played 16 season in the league. Two Olympic gold medals. Two regular season MVPs and a final MVP. And look, I'm going out on top of the world with her third ring. She announced her retirement from the game. But I want to thank her for an incredible career. We know she's got a whole world in front of her. A whole world. For all we know, she may be one of the great coaches. She's only 38. She's got plenty of time to become the world's greatest all-time coach. He could be right down the road. And she's had an incredible career. That's what I really like, incredible career. He doesn't know what her career was. But boy, he knows it was incredible. 844, 542, 42, 844, 542, 42, 42. 802 Candace Parker is the best coach in WNBA history. She got her start coaching Ambrose, Ambrose Finnegan. 774. I would have my kid down there cleaning that memorial. And that would be his duty every month to go down there and wash it. I remember one time in the week I get in a bunch of us got in a food fight at the Deerfield Academy on a Saturday night, just goofing around, made a big mess. And for the rest of the semester, you know what the punishment was, me and a couple other guys? Every meal after everybody left, we would have to go around and pick up all the drop napkins and all the tables. And the guy, Sali was his name, who ran the dining room. He made damn sure we were there for the rest of the winter term. We had to do that. But I mean, what we did was much, much less bad than what those punks did. 844, 542, 42, experienced the ultimate savings event with MyPillows $25 extravaganza. Hey, good afternoon, Howie. How are you? Good. Good. Listen, actually, I think your real question that you should be asking is if your child or son or daughter did something like the facing that statue that you're talking about. Yeah. And other kids, other children were grabbed by the cops and considered them to be the ones that did something. Would you then turn in your child or do something about it? That's the question you should be asking. Yeah, I don't think that's very likely that that would happen, you know, that they would grab somebody else. But I guess that would put it in a different perspective if your kid got away with it because he ran faster or duck behind a bush or something like that. I don't know. I think I'd just tell them, I don't think I'd turn him in. Would you turn him in? Yeah, I would. I would absolutely do something. If there were a couple of other kids that get back, let's say hypothetically, the typical thing that a couple of young African-American kids could grab for doing something just because they were hanging around. And your child, a couple of kids took off and didn't get caught. And they got bagged, and they got charged with something. Would you at some point, would you step up to do something to help tell the police or say, hey-- Maybe I would say-- I tell you what, Jim, maybe I would say to the kid, I want you to go down to the police station and tell them you did it and not those other kids. It's the only the right thing to do. So you better do the right thing or thought, thought, thought, and leave it up to them to make the right decision. Thanks for the call, Jim. Let's see here. Dennis, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dennis. Howie, a couple of thoughts arising from your lead-in segment. One, next year, all my women's NBA championship title gambling money will be on the women's NBA team that hires the most men to play on it. And secondly, Howie motivated the chances that Judge Murchin, at some point, bends Trump from his own trial because his very presence is intimidating to brag his brags and witnesses. You know what? I had even thought about that, Dennis. You know what? What does that mean intimidating to the witnesses? I mean, how about the fact that Whitey bulges the trial I was thinking about, because I was almost banned from the courtroom there myself, wasn't Whitey's presence in the courtroom, intimidating to all the people who threatened to kill, because there were a lot of people in there that had been worried about him killing them, including me when I was sitting in the courtroom, just as an observer. Yeah, where does it end? If you start banning people from a courtroom because someone claims to be afraid of them, claims to be afraid of them. I think one of the people who claims to be afraid of Turtle Boy is this guy, Brian Albert, who was like a cop in Boston for 30 plus years. He looks like he's about twice Turtle Boy's size. And this is just, it's really ridiculous. Thanks for the call, Dennis. 844-542-508. You have girls at different dynamic boys or morons and need a shot to the chops occasionally. You know, you're right. I don't have, I don't have a son. I have daughters, but they did some pretty stupid things when they were young, you know? 844-542-42. The dad who turned in his son as a hero. But the thing is, they didn't happen. It seemed like a really good story. That's what the cops thought at first, but it wasn't true. And the cops retracted their story. So I don't know who got this little punk kid. They got what high school he's from now. But I would think in some circles, this will be a badge of honor. This will make it more likely that he'll get into some pablam puking Ivy League institution. Or maybe he would have until now. Things are, at least at the top, probably not further down. It's too de-eyed out. But at the top, there's turnover. Today, the president of Cornell quit. Just, you know, oh, I was thinking about it, she said. But this is a huge job. President of an Ivy League university, she'd been there six, seven years. She's leaving in June 30th. That's what, seven weeks away? This was the first notice anybody got in an email. I think she, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, as Harry Truman said. 844-500-42-42. You know, why hasn't merchant banned Trump from the courtroom? He's obviously intimidating the judge, right? Good point. I'm Howie Carr. [MUSIC PLAYING] Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. Here's a really good text from 781 about turning your kids in. Howie, how could you turn your kid in? Look at all the damage Black Lives Matter protesters that all the damage the hippie punks are doing now. Nothing happened or will happen to any of them. So should your child have a record and be the scapegoat, when they all got it off? And what would he be an example? He's going to be the example of what not to do. This is not the same country of honor and valor we grow up in. I would find my own punishment for my kid, but not let this corrupt justice system deal with him. That's a good way to put it, though. That is a good-- the justice system quote unquote is corrupt. So why would you want to expose your kid to it? This all sounds like a lot of twisting yourself into a pretzel to try to excuse your kid defacing a World War I monument. And I just want to be frank here. If that's what your kid is up to, clearly whatever parenting you've been doing, I'm speaking as the general you. Has not been working, so maybe they need a little wake up call from the clink. Let's take a quick call, finish up this last call from Susan. She's talking about somebody that was turned in by her close relative. Susan, go ahead. Yeah, the Unabom may have worked longer. I'm sure the FBI would have found him eventually. But his brother turned him in. And I think he pled for him. He said he would only turn him in if he would not receive the death penalty. Yeah. I think if I'm remembering it correctly. But, you know, the Unabomber was killing people, right? I mean, that kind of puts it in a different context, doesn't it? Oh, it does. But, you know, it was so hard to do. Yeah. It had to be hard to do. That would be easier than turning in my own kid, though, for sure. But even-- but see, if somebody's killing somebody, your brother is killing somebody, is killing people. And you don't turn him in, and he kills somebody else. The blood is kind of on your hands, though, isn't it? No, he didn't. If he didn't report him eventually, he'd say he had gone to jail for the crime. You know, I mean, I'm sure he felt cornered. Maybe I guess he knew he couldn't talk him out of it. I mean, he wouldn't have known the brother that he's so-- Well, he was not. The guy was insane. But sometimes you're a parent. Like, if you're a young person and you're clearly their parents being mad at them or disappointed, it hasn't really affected their life so far. So sometimes that is what people need as a wake-up call. Like, remember that show Scared Straight? They take-- you don't remember that show? I do. It was very effective. Yeah, it might as well have been from 1,000 years ago, at this point, Grace. But I'm just saying that, like, OK, so how we car, your kid goes in-- and none of your-- I know your daughter's-- no one would do this. But defaces a monument. And it's like, what? They're going to come home and you're going to be like, I'm very upset with you. I don't think that's going to do the trick. I think there's got to be something a little bit more. Something harsher than that. I think I would say, if you had any kind of character you'd turn yourself in. But since you obviously don't have any character, if you get caught, don't come whining to me. How about that? Yeah. I will say this, though, Unabomber, there was a really good mini series on that a few years ago. The People's Checkout. I think it was on prime. Excellent. Very interesting. I've run to nuts like that all the time around here. So do you. I mean, the ground is thick with Unabomber types and massages. I would be so disgusted if my child defaced a world where I wouldn't even be able to look at them. I would be so upset. You know what I'd be asking myself? What did I do wrong? How did we get here? That you have such little respect for your history and for your elders and for people who gave their lives to this country. What happened? That's what I would say. And then I would say, go turn yourself in. You have the count of 10. All right. Grace has a child, but the child's very young. Yes, she's been through as many as many campaigns as many of the rest of us have been through. She's not just facing any monuments. She's just a baby. So more than two dozen House Democrats are blasting Biden for holding back Israeli military aid and or Israel military aid. But here's where I'm confused, because you and I have discussed this, Joe Biden said he was going to hold back military aid if Israel advanced into Rafa. Yes, they're already in Rafa. Right. And when he said it, they were already in Rafa. Right. And so what Adam Smith, a Democrat representative from Washington State, made clear-- We're a great book two or 300 years ago, you know, about the free mark. He's like, tuck everlasting. He's been around for a long time. What he explained on News Nation is that, oh, no, no, Joe Biden misspoke. But here's where I get confused Howie. He's saying, what Joe Biden meant was if they do a very specific bombing operation in Rafa, then we're going to withhold certain weapons. That is totally different when you're talking about foreign policy than what came out of Joe Biden's mouth with Aaron Burnett. But John Kirby and Kareen John Pierre all backed up Joe Biden and said, yep, he spoke very clearly. That's what he meant to say. That's what he meant. But then today there's reporting that no aid is being held up. No weapons are being held up. So which one is it? You know, I'm going to play the cut from my Adam Smith last night on TV. And you know, we've heard and seen a lot of stuff in the last three and a half years that we never dreamed that we would say from an American government, from an American administration. But this is right up there with it. And just listen, just try to listen to what he's saying. And then we can talk about it afterwards, cut for. Well, I think they lacked clarity. And what the president said there is not really the administration's position. I mean, he gave the distinct impression that if Israel goes into Rafa in any way, we will cut them off entirely. And I have spoken with John Kirby, the spokesperson for the National Security Council, Steve Rushetti, a senior advisor to the president, as well as several other people last night. And today, that's not actually the position of the administration. The position is that if Israel goes into Rafa with an aggressive bombing campaign, then we will restrict the sale of those types of weapons. He's not meant to say that if they go into Rafa at all, in fact, Israel's already in Rafa as we know. So my main criticism of the administration president right now is that they're seven and clear on what their policy is. It is not the policy of the Biden administration that they're going to cut off Israel entirely if they go into Rafa. But that's what the president said, Congressman. OK. And also, let's keep in mind, Adam Smith is saying their biggest issue is they lacked clarity. As he said it twice, they lacked clarity. Karine Jampier has a press gaggle, either yesterday or today. And she says the words very clear eight times throughout the course of that press gaggle. So clearly, to be very clear, they thought they had plenty of clarity. So which one is it? Well, I like to fight when he said, I've spoken today with a high ranking aid and with the spokesman for the National Security Council. And what the president said is not the policy of the administration. Well, isn't what the president says. Doesn't have to kind of be. It doesn't isn't that per force the policy of the administration? I don't think so. And I think we should all be very grateful for that. My question is, have you ever heard anyone else ever say anything remotely like that with the president of the United States? You know, we weren't alive for Woodrow Wilson, but they didn't have press galleries. They didn't have videotape, et cetera, in those days anyway. I talked to Jake Novak today, and he said something that I thought was true, because we always talk about who's really running this administration. And he said, I think he goes out there, and it's whoever had his ear last. Like, whichever person in that administration talked to him last before he sat down with Aaron Burnett, because you have to think there's old school Democrats in there who feel one way. And then, as we saw with Rob Malley big news today, there's other people who are very sympathetic to Iran, to have us, to terror organizations. And so, he's getting a little bit of both, and I think it just totally depends. You roll the dice and see what he's going to say. And he happened to say with Aaron Burnett, you know, he tried to appease the death to America voter during that interview. And then now all these people are saying, oh, don't worry, we're not actually cutting off aid. Well, then you probably shouldn't have them go out there and say that. - And as I think your guests said too, I mean, what does this tell everybody else that relies on the US, including by the way, the two neighboring countries to Gaza, which are Egypt and Jordan, which are somewhat friendly to the United States. - Yeah, it's-- - I mean, you can't trust this guy, you can't trust this administration, you can't trust this nation under him as far as you can throw him. - And you know, it's funny how he, when he gets out there, and you know, New York Post had a piece today with the Pinocchio face, and obviously there's all these lies that now we've gotten used to him saying every single time, that's not what I'm worried about. Like, I'm not worried about him going out there and saying, when I came into office, it was 9% inflation, it's a lie, but I'm more worried about him doing something like this that's going to affect foreign policy and gonna have other countries making moves, all these people are watching us. - Well, remember, in 2021, they asked them about Russia going into Ukraine - The minor incursion? - The minor incursion, right. And, you know, Putin saw that. - Exactly. I mean, there's a, you know, in the military code, you know, I won't, you know, penetration, however slight, is considered, well, I won't get into what it's considered. You know what it's considered, penetration, however slight. - Not according to divine. - That's just another way of saying minor incursion. - Yeah. How I did want to get in one story here that broke today, there were two environmentalists, okay? 82 years old and 85 years old, so we got two octogenarians. - Shouldn't they be home praying for a happy death? Is Dapronel would say? - They attacked, remember a few weeks ago, there was an actress, I don't remember what her name was, but she was talking about how when Trump took over or if he won the presidency, he was gonna attack the constitution with a hammer. - Yes. - And there was a crazy sound cut. Well, these two environmentalists attacked the case holding the Magna Carta in London. - You know, we need a lot less activism by octogenarians. You know, there was that nitwit in sandwich, you tried to ban nips. Now you have these idiots, you have Pelosi, you have Brandon. - This is Excuse me. Excuse me, this woman's name is the Reverend Sue Cardiff. - Oh, she's the Reverend Sue Cardiff. - Let me guess, Church of England. - And Judy Bruce, okay? And they, Judy Bruce is a retired biology teacher. They targeted the Magna Carta, it says the pair of protestors from Just Stop Oil, that's the real. - First, when you told me the story, Grace, I thought it would be Democrats, that they were just angry because the Magna Carta was the first move towards, you know, the constitution, the bill of rights, you know, due process, et cetera, and that they were just angry about that. You know, they wanted to first Trump, then the rest of us. - Why didn't they do anything when oil was first discovered? They were around then. - Is this they, they pounded on the case with a hammer and a chisel. - Yeah, yeah, pick a John D. Rockefeller when he went over there to visit Queen Victoria. - They said the Magna Carta is rightly revered being of great importance to our history. - Oh, it's rightly revered, but they were still gonna try to destroy it, okay? - But here's our chisel. - It says to our freedoms and to our laws, but there will be no freedom, no lawlessness, no lawfulness, no rights if we allow climate breakdown to become the catastrophe that it is now threatened. I will say this though, Howie. I don't think they were even able to do like the tiniest bit of damage. I don't think they made a dent in that. They were holding up the chisel. It was, Taylor, you saw the video, it was kind of sad. I thought they were gonna miss wetter. - Here we are, go for it, the rev, take that chisel to the Magna Carta. It's pretty pathetic. Hey, by the way, everyone, birthday remote coming up on May 31st, it's gonna be a beautiful Friday. We're gonna be at the Aviva Trotteria in Hanover. It's such a great location. I just looking at this list of the 26 house Democrats who sent the White House a letter criticizing the insane statement by Brandon the other night on CNN. And, you know, I look at it and a lot of the people you'd expect that to sign it have signed it. But how about some of the Jewish members of Congress? Like Jerry Nadler, for instance. Adam Schiff, who's running for the Senate in California. He says, why didn't he sign it? Jamie Raskin, Jamie Raskin hates Donald Trump, want to put Donald Trump in prison. But apparently he doesn't have a problem with cutting off aid to Israel to eliminate the terrorists. Even though Biden said previously that Hamas must be eliminated entirely. How about that slimy Dan Goldman? He's another one. He's training to become the next Adam Schiff or the next Jamie Raskin. You know, these guys, especially Nadler and Goldman, they represent heavily Jewish districts. Is this what they want? Or are there constituents so brainwashed Jewish or not that they'll just vote them back in? 844, 542, 42. Todd, you're next with how we car. Go ahead, Todd. - Hey, Howard, thanks for taking a call. In regards to your question earlier about what you turned your kids in, you don't wait until their college age to have that conversation. When I was back in junior high school, I was having dinner over a friend's house and so I called my parents to let them know that I wasn't gonna be home. And I was kidding around when I called my parents. I said, "Hey mom, dad, I just got busted for weed. "I need you to come down to the station and bail me out." Just kidding around, my parents said, "You can rot there." And I knew at a young age, never getting trouble because no one's coming to get you. And guess what, Holly, take a look at my police record. It's blank and that's why. - Well, you remember all these years later, what happened? So it obviously made it a quite an impression on you. Thanks for the call. Dave, you're next with how we car. Go ahead, Dave. - Hey, Holly, you have few rhetorical questions such as, "Did we allow humanitarian aid "to bag dad while we were bombin' it or into birth?" - That's a good question. Yes. - "Did we warn the Japanese "to evacuate and Hiroshima and Nagasaki "before we nuked all those innocent civilians?" No, 'cause-- - And you know what else? Yeah, I'll tell you something else. Harry Truman didn't say, "Well, we could bomb, "we could drop the atom bomb on Japan, "but it would only strengthen them." That's what they're saying. If we wipe out Hamas and destroy the remaining battalions or brigades, it would strengthen them. How does that make any sense whatsoever, Dave? Even for Democrats. - So they can kill some more, you know, and accomplish their task in this man-looking entire planet? - So if you, they don't wanna use smart bombs. So if you don't use smart bombs, they're gonna have to use dumb bombs. Dumb bombs, that's why they're dumb because they don't distinguish. It's just more of a random destruction rather than, you know, concentrated mayhem. Like the bomb the Israelis used to kill all the Iranians in the apartment, in Baghdad, and excuse me, in Damascus and not kill anybody else. It's ridiculous. And the other thing too is, Dave, if they don't use these bombs, they're gonna, more Israelis are gonna be killed. This just makes no sense whatsoever, but it's by, so I guess, in that sense, it does make sense on how we car them. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
