AP news for this Saturday, May 11, I'm Jennifer Kane. Israel has ordered new evacuations in southern Gaza. AP correspondent Mimi Montgomery has more. Tens of thousands more displaced Palestinians are having to move, many of them, for a fourth or fifth time, as Israel is ordering new evacuations in Gaza's southern city of Rafa. The order comes as Israel prepares to expand its operation in the south, adding it's also moving into a northern area where Hamas is regrouped. Protests over Israel's military response to the Hamas attack of October 7 continued at some college campuses and in Malmo, Sweden, where music fans from all over the world gathered for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Competition has been around since 1956. This week, a Dutch competitor was expelled. We get more from the AP's Jill Wallace in Malmo. A matter of hours before the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest, the Dutch contestant Raperios Kline has been dramatically kicked out of the contest. This follows a statement from organizers saying that police in Sweden are investigating a complaint made against the performer by a member of the production crew. I've spoken to Eurovision experts and they say this is completely unprecedented. There has never been an expulsion at this late stage in the competition before. A solar storm brought dazzling displays to northern skies last night, AP correspondent Julie Walker reports. An unusually strong solar storm hitting Earth produced stunning displays of color in the skies across the northern hemisphere Friday and Saturday, with many posting pictures on social media.
