AP News, I'm Pam Joani, Michael Cohen took the stand today in Donald Trump's Hush Money Trial. In an AP interview outside the court, Joe Adams, a tourist from Provincetown, Massachusetts says he waited 14 hours overnight to get a seat in the overflow room to watch the Trump Hush Money Trial. As riveting as this was, my head started to bob. I'm exhausted but loved every minute of it. I've never even gotten in a line for this long for a concert. But this was really important. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan says Israel must focus on the long game and what Gaza looks like after Hamas is gone. That protects Israel's future security and paves the way for a future of dignity and security for the Palestinian people as well. Rather than Israel getting mired, an account or insurgency campaign that never ends, and ultimately saps Israel's strength and vitality. AP correspondent Charles Zilladezma reports Ukraine police evacuate hundreds of civilians from Kharki region's border amid Russian shelling. A police officer walks a woman to vehicles holding her hand. She doesn't see, he says, "We need to lead us straight to the bus. Hold on. Where is the bus? Tell me which bus can we put her on?" This is why on the ground, amid nearby explosions, the police video shows the camera shaking as the village evacuation proceeds. A police officer next to a gate shouts, "Faster grandmother, faster!" Elsewhere a unit runs toward an old building hammering on its doors and walls. People are evidently running for their lives as the Russian units advance. I'm Charles Zilladezma. This is AP News. AP correspondent Rita Foley reports on trouble involving spiders. Lorenzo Prandini is an expert on spiders at the American Museum of Natural History based in New York, but he was stopped at the airport in Istanbul by police, accused of trying to smuggle spider and scorpion samples out of Turkey, according to media reports. Lorenzo shows officers searching hand luggage and removing plastic bags that appear to be packed with dead spiders and scorpions. Prandini tells the Associated Press that police disregarded the permits he has from the Turkish government and instead relied on the testimony of somebody who has a conflict of interest, he said. The museum's website lists Prandini as the curator of its spiders, scorpions, centipede and millipede collections. It says his research has taken him to more than 30 countries. I'm Rita Foley. U.S. stocks drifted to a mixed close near their record heights. A key test will arrive on Wednesday when the government offers an update on inflation. I'm Haya Punjuani, AP News.
