This is what you do when you've just found that statement handbag on eBay and you want to build an entire wardrobe around it. You start selling to keep buying. Yup, on eBay. Over that all-black everything face, list it, and buy all the color. Feeling more vintage than ever? It's out with the new and in with the pre-loved. Next thing you know, you've refreshed your wardrobe basically without spending a dime. Yeah, eBay. The place to buy and sell new pre-loved vintage and rare fashion. Welcome into Candlestick Chronicles, a 49ers podcast on the Blue Wire Podcast Network. I'm Kyle Madsen. I write about the 49ers over at NinersWire.com. Part of the USA Today Sports Media Group, he's Chris Biederman, and we're going to talk about a dominant 49ers win over the Chicago Bears, but before we do that, let's talk about the official clothing brand of Candlestick Chronicles, Chris. Yeah, it's Lambchops. Go to sglamchops.com and check out their site. They've actually redone the site, and they have a whole new line of gear out. They recently did a collaboration with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and it's absolute fire. So, the clothing's great. Have a lot of it. This is a true story. My fiancé, Leanne, today ran in the California International Marathon after 26.2 miles of first thing she said, and again, this is not a lie, she said, "I need to put on that Lambchops hoodie to get out of this sweaty clothes and get into something comfortable and warm in the crisp fall day that it was in Sacramento today." So if you get Lambchops, Lambchops hoodie, you will understand where she is coming from, where I'm coming from, given my closet is basically filled with Lambchops hoodies at this point. I love them. I love all their clothing. Go to sglamchops.com. Use promo code Candlestick20 to save 20% off your first order, and make sure you follow them out on social media at sglamchops. Join the herd. I thought you were going to say that if you wear Lambchops, you too can run a marathon. I mean we can't disprove that. We can't say that that's not the case. We're not saying it is, but we're also not saying it's not. All right. We're also sponsored by Coopridge Brewing. I actually spent the day at Coopridge on Saturday. My mom went out there, had a couple beers, dropped off some coats. They have a coat drive going on at the brewery in Santa Rosa. Had a great time. Again, it was just sitting there, vibes. There was a good food truck, had some tacos, watched some college football, petted some dogs, saw the homies, and had a really great time. If you can't visit the brewery, which of course we recommend doing, but if you can't visit Coopridge Brewing.com. And if you're 21 and up and in the state of California, they will ship a case of beer directly to your front door. No bad news right now. No cases of candlestick Chronicles available. It is sold out again. You guys did it. Congratulations. Well done. Another batch in the works, literally as we speak. So that should be available here coming soon. And if the 49ers do make a push to the playoffs, you can get a case in time for the playoffs. So Coopridge Brewing.com, visit the brewery, and visit Coopridge Brewing.com. Shout out to Coop. We're also sponsored by prize picks. It is daily fantasy sports, and you pick more or less on at least two players for a shot to win up to 100 times your cash. I had Joann Jennings to score a touchdown today, more than a half a touchdown for Joann Jennings, nailed it. George Kittle, more than 52 and a half receiving yards, nailed it. Devo Samuel, less than 40 and a half receiving yards, nailed it. Roma Dunes A, less than 40 and a half receiving yards, didn't nail it. Got three out of four, but that's okay because I did a flex play and with the flex play. Your lineup can be imperfect like mine, and you can still win some money. That's because prize picks puts their members first, and all withdrawals are fast, safe, and secure. I can get my money in as quick as 15 minutes, so play along and download the prize picks app today and use code candlestick to get $50 instantly after you play your first $5 lineup. That's the prize picks app and code candlestick to get $50 instantly after you play your first $5 lineup prize picks. Run your game. All right. Let's talk about the 49ers beating hell out of the bears. Hey, this is George Kittle, and you're listening to candlestick chronicles. Kittle, in Denver territory, Kittle is going to go. Touchdown. All right, look, man. I understand that it may not matter in the grand scheme of the 49ers being a playoff team or whatever, but it's really nice to do a podcast where they just kind of dominated a game from start to finish because I don't think we've gotten to really do that at all this year. And so it's nice to change it up. That was an ass whooping at Levi Stadium on Sunday. Yeah, I mean, I think you really have the bears are awful, but I do think you have to go back really to like week one. This is the first time that I think it's looked like this all year to your point, and the offense was in rhythm. The defense played pretty well. It felt like I think it was four straight third downs. The Niners got a sack. And look, this bears offensive line isn't good. Kyle Shanahan had no problem scheming things up against that bears defense, but I think just overall it was it was just encouraging from the standpoint of, you know, they still have this in them, which I guess can the other side of that coin is like, you know, when they play like this, it makes and makes the all the other games where they played poorly that much more frustrating. But I think I think ultimately like the way I'm looking at this is it's kind of all about next year, right, and not necessarily from a standpoint of, you know, like I don't really believe in like, oh, if you if you have momentum in December, that's going to lead into the following season. I don't think that's a real thing. And I think that's often overstated, but I do think you want to have your young players prove they can play at a high level and build some confidence going into their, you know, going into the off season so they have things to build on because this roster is going to look a lot different next year, and there are going to be a lot of new faces and a lot of young players stepping into roles previously occupied by veterans. And so the fact that they can have a game like this, where, you know, they out game the Bears, 452 to 162, they can go five of six in the red zone. They can go four or five in goal to go situations. I think it's just encouraging from like, Oh, yeah, they can put together a complete performance. Still don't think they're making the playoffs. They basically would have to win out and get some help to get to the playoffs. But, you know, for Brock Purdy to have a really efficient game for Kyle Shannon to dial up plays where, you know, guys are getting yards after the catch and moving in space and you had a big, a number of big chunk plays today. That to me is, is all positive regardless of, you know, what, what you think's going to happen the rest of the season. And I think that's, you know, just to get a good feeling back in the building has to, has to mean a lot for them right now. Yeah, and it's like, Oh, yeah, Kyle Shannon didn't forget just how to call plays. Like, Oh, that that was, that was nice to see George Kittle was really effective. Joanne Jennings was really effective. It was just, it was, it was a game that you would expect them to, to go win by, by quite a few. And for them to be up 24 to what was it, 24 nothing at half was, was like, that's kind of what we, we more expected to see. And so I think you're right when you start spinning this forward into 2025. It's like, okay. So it's not all going to hell. It's not all everyone's done. Everyone's checked out, uh, Kyle Shanahan's lost the locker room. The offense just doesn't work anymore. They have no pride. Yeah, they have no pride. I call that it. So, so, I mean, forget, forget whether they're going to make the playoffs because I don't think they will. They needed the Seahawks to lose today. And then they also needed the Rams to lose and none of those things happened. So the, like, but in the context of, hey, they played with their necessary urgency. That was, I think a, a positive sign if you're looking toward, uh, or if you're looking for reasons to have optimism going into next year, uh, that they attacked this game with that level of, of urgency and beat the hell out of a team that's, that's worse than them. Um, and that's not like, I like Caleb Williams a lot. I thought Caleb Williams was really good today, but the Bears are just in a different space than the 49ers are. And they're a team. The 49ers should be by a lot, like on paper. And so the fact that they did it was like, oh, okay, well, there, there is still somebody home. That was nice. Yeah. I agree with you, 100% just watching the game and watching the offense not start and stop with like pre snap penalties and holdings and, you know, illegal motions and, and illegal formations and all that stuff. Like the, I think a fair criticism of Kyle Shanahan's offense is everything kind of has to go to plan from the standpoint of like, you can not be behind the sticks, like it does not feel like Kyle Shanahan's offense can ever handle a sack or a penalty and, and to be fair, like not a ton of offenses are, but it just feels like the offense has to be in a rhythm and you have to be playing in front of the sticks for everything to work. And it kind of goes back to that conversation about, you know, Kyle Shanahan's teams are always best when games are being played on his terms. You know what I mean? Like they, they just have to be ahead of the sticks because that sets up play action and then you start to, you can manipulate the defense and force match up set that you like and all of those things rather than the defense being able to dictate things to the offense when it's a, you know, third and long and you know you're passing and you have past protectors that you can attack if you're a defense, right? So it was just one of those games where the offense was just continuously ahead of the sticks and it was continuously on its own terms and the Niners were playing from ahead and when you play from ahead, it's, it's, it's a lot easier to, you know, run the ball and utilize play action and take shots downfield and all of those things rather than when you play from behind. So it was just one of those games, I think it, it was, it has to be reassuring that they, that they still can do that, that they can play a clean game offensively. Like I think to me that's the number of self inflicted wounds, particularly on the offensive side and inability to execute in the red zone and avoid shooting yourself in the foot in the red zone over and over again has probably been the most frustrating thing about this Niners season, aside from the injuries, right? And today it was just all clean with the, with the exception of Ricky Piersall's holding call in the, in the red zone there that negated the Brock Purdy rushing score and they had to kick a field goal. Like they were basically flawless from an execution standpoint in the red zone. So it was definitely encouraging, but also like, I'll never say the Niners are better off without Christian McCaffrey or Trent Williams and stuff. And even, you know, some of their other guys like Aaron Banks and like, you have like four third and fourth and fifth stringers out there and they're playing better, at least cleaner and not making those mistakes that that's some of your, you know, pro bowl type players were making sure. Yeah. Just interesting. Yeah. I don't, yeah. I don't think they're, you're right. They're not better off necessarily, but maybe that helped with the urgency. It's guys that are like, Hey, I'm playing for a job instead of guys that are just playing out the string knowing that they're, they've got a job next year. Right. That has something to do with it. But yeah, man, they just, they, they weren't, they weren't real real quick on the Piersall holding goal. It was so funny. So I went to the game of my mom today and sat in the stands and took it again from the stands for the first time since 2016, week one, 2016 was the last time I went to a game with my mom and big win over the ramp, shout out, shout out to Kelly. The chip Kelly era was, I picked in that moment. That was the one where Aaron Donald got a jacket and slammed his helmet. And the Piersall call, it happens and everyone's like booing. And as soon as they show the replay, everyone's like, ah, yeah, well, nah, he got him. Yeah. It was super funny, but yeah, man, it just they didn't ever feel like they were in second or third and long, like you were saying. And it just, it's every offense is going to be better when you're in second and third and manageable. But it feels like the 49ers offense when they're in second and third and manageable, you start getting those chunk plays where George Kittle's running wide open and Isaac Rondo's running wide open and Joanne Jennings and whoever else, basically everything worked except the Divo handoffs today, which continue to not go great. I mean, even Divo in the passing game, two catches for 22 yards today. Yeah. Um, I mean, if we want to go positive, like George Kittle was awesome. That was incredible. That was one of the best George Kittle games of the season for sure, Jennings, Joanne Jennings was awesome. Um, I thought Isaac Rondo was awesome. Like he was. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, even he was decisive, right? Like when he first started getting carries in the beginning of the season and even going back to the preseason, kind of tipped a little bit, wouldn't be super decisive, wouldn't be a very aggressive runner. Um, today was like, dude was hitting the hole hard and he would pause and he was, he was like, I mean, just, just very, very decisive and, and had opportunities to show off his speed because of how decisive he was and like, it was pretty impressive to see him kick it into gear, turning the corner on, on some bears defenders. Um, so I, I was really encouraged with Coranda. I thought he looked like he's taken a lot of positive steps in terms of his developments since the start of the season. Um, we'll see about the foot injury that the Niners, the running, the Niners running back to traveling in the days. And with, you know, with the game, a pretty, pretty important game Thursday against the Rams. That's brutal. Wouldn't you not, not having a Rondo in that game potentially could be big. Um, but I think overall what you saw from him could be really positive going forward because, um, look like, I don't know what's, what Christian McCaffrey's going to look like next year, but I think the, it would behoove the 49ers to have some alternative options. Um, whether you're spelling him or, you know, I'm, I'm not saying the 49ers need to go like running back by committee with Christian McCaffrey back, but like, they have somebody likes to take some of the workload off of them. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. Um, the bears offensive line is so bad. Like I knew, I've known it was bad, but bro, the Niners pass rush today was like, oh, it's they've never been more back. You're gross. Matos has three sacks. Leonard Floyd had two, I think that six, seven sacks is a team. My God, man. What about eight and a half, eight and a half on the season, he's going to get to his nine and a half. It's going to be insane. It's going to be the least impactful nine and a half sacks season of all time. Yeah. Um, yeah, like, I mean, this is kind of what they were hoping for. I mean, they're not going to go against terrible offensive lines this, like, like this very often, but no, I mean, that's, it is encouraging the fact that they can get production from their defensive line that's been pretty non-existent in these last few games, particularly without Nick Bosa, um, as positive. We'll see. I mean, it's positive from the standpoint of they did what they should against that defensive line. Yeah. But I'm still not the offensive line, but I'm still not convinced that, you know, they're, they're going to that defensive line with that personnel and 97 on the sideline is going to like win them a big game or play really well in a big game at this point. Like it's pretty, it's pretty clear to me, regardless of how today went, they need 97. This episode is sponsored by lamb chops SG lamb chops.com is the website. Yeah, nothing that happened today changed my mind for this year, but it did make me more optimistic about what this team looks like moving forward because there was a real chance and maybe they still get there. Maybe they play like shit in their next four and we leave the season going like, oh boy, but for right now, the fact that they were in a three game tailspin got beat 73 to 20 in their previous two games and came out in this one and played well. That makes some of the doom and gloom going into next year. It eases some of that for me, I think. Maybe I'm over. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's so easy to react to what you see in the moment, right, particularly when it's like at an extreme level, which is what it's been the last two weeks in Buffalo and Green Bay, but I mean, Brock Purdy looked healthy for the first time in a month and the way he was moving in the pocket and stepping up in the pocket and finding the right guys and being accurate and putting the ball in places where guys can get yards after the catch. I thought that was that was really impressive 20 to 20 of 25 or 325 yards, 13 yards an attempt is like a completely insane number. Yeah. Was a little bit scary when he was down after that roughing the passer call, but it seemed like that wasn't that wasn't a big deal. But honestly, like the only negative I could really think about today. I mean, if you want to, if you want to have the pure saw conversation and ask like, when is this guy going to start to contribute? I would hear it, but when you get that type of production from Kittle and Jennings and Purdy's throwing completing 80% of his passes for over 300 yards, like it's going to be hard for me to find much fault in pure saw. But I do think this Debo thing, I mean, it's been, it's been every week now since the Chiefs game since since since the add pneumonia. I mean, Debo's been kind of a non factor offensively. He's had some nice kickoff returns, but offensively, I mean, for, for whatever reason he was given five carries today, 13 yards, 2.6 yards per carry. 2 catches for 22 yards. Like he's just really kind of a non factor right now. And, but even beyond just the numbers, the thing that I think is most alarming with Debo, and again, maybe he's just hurt or not healthy or not in top form or whatever, I don't want to jump to the conclusion and say that like he's washed, but like, I don't know, it's kind of alarming the lack of production, but the fact that he could not break a tackle anymore. Yeah, dude. Is really wild. Yeah. He's like, like defenders are like feels like they're getting fingers on his shoes as he's like running by and he's getting tripped up and falling like it's, and it used to take like four dudes to tackle Debo and now it's like he can get, he can get tripped up super easily. Yeah. Yeah. And the thing that, that scares me about that is, remember the big talking point out of training camp was like, we might get 2021 Debo again this year. That might be what we're talking about this season is, wow, Debo got that. And maybe the Niners have to extend him now and oh my goodness, he's in great shape. He's never been in better shape. Watch out everybody. And then we get whatever this is where he has seven touches for 35 yards in a game where the 49ers scored 38 points. Like you said, maybe he's hurt. Maybe the pneumonia is really getting to him. But the lack of broken tackles, the lack of yards after catch, it just doesn't, doesn't bode well. Yeah, I don't love it for him. Yeah. I mean, there are some things I think defensively you can look at some things like to spin into next year that you could say, all right, like I feel good about that. Like you feel good about Isaac Arendo potentially. You feel good about Malik Mustafa potentially. You feel good about Dominic Poonie, like the some of the young guys we've been talking about all year, but like man, this Debo thing is like, you know, you would hope you would have a good season. And then if they really needed to move off of him, like say Debo had a provol type season, like you might be able to get, I don't know, a day to pick. Like if you had like a, if you had like 1,000 or 1,200 yard, seven touchdown season, like all purpose, 1,200 all purpose yards, seven touchdown season, from Debo Samuel, you could potentially trade him in the off season for like a day to draft pick. Sure. Debo has, I don't think he has any trade value right now. Probably not. And that's not for, not for, like you might get a late day three pick form. It may be, but like anybody trading for him is taking on that contract, right. So I would, I would guess this was going to be a situation where unless Debo turns things around over the final four weeks of the season, it doesn't really feel like any team is going to be willing to trade anything for that contract. I think it's more likely that teams will say, no, we're not going to trade for him. We're just going to wait for you to cut him. And I think that's kind of where this is headed because it doesn't, it just doesn't seem tenable to pay Debo what he's do. When you're getting, you know, 30 yards a game and he can't break anymore tackles. Yeah, man, I'm, I'm with you. If he's, if he's at the very least, let's say they say, hey, we don't want to, we don't want to eat that money. We want to keep him around. At the very least, you have to reassess how he fits in your offense. And you have to be less reliant on what he brings as a multi positional player. Because for, for me, it's just it, maybe it comes back, maybe he's hurt, or maybe it's the pneumonia stuff, he comes back next year and looks like all pro Debo again, in which case, you know, great, but you have to be ready for the event that he doesn't. And it can't be a mid season thing where it's like, Oh shit, like Debo's not that dude anymore. Well, now what do we do? You can't have another year because I, for me, that's been a pretty significant problem with our offense right now is those kind of built in a, we know we can get Debo the ball here and he's going to get his nine plus yards. And Kyle Shanahan doesn't have that to lean on. So I think at the very, very least you have to adapt to a version of Debo Samu that looks more like this and ensure that your offense isn't relying on him to be an all pro because I think the likelihood that he's that player again are way more slim than the likelihood that this is just what he is now. Yeah. And it feels like the Super Bowl last year against the Chiefs was kind of the referendum on Debo because the Niners were, they were trying to take downfield shots with them. You remember like there was, there was a handful of deep shots they took that they couldn't complete one because Kansas City's secondary was so good, but also because Debo's never really been a separator. It was always like, just kind of get the ball in his hands and just let him go, right? Like throw him a tunnel screen, throw him, you know, throw him a crossing route where he's got speed built up. It's like, he can still hit a crossing route every once in a while. And you know, if he's, he's already running and in space, he can, he can be difficult to tackle. But man, like the bubble screens just don't even work anymore. And it's, it's like, it's really wild because, you know, when, and like I called him like a, he looked like a Hall of Famer in 2021, like he was carrying the nine. He was incredible. He was, he was absolutely carrying the Niners and arguably the most unique weapon in the NFL. And now it's like the guy, the guy is just, he, he just goes down way too easy. And I hope like, I hope it's just something that like he's hurt, he's playing through an injury. It's like, you know, like if it, if it came out that this is like a Fred Warner situation where, you know, like Fred's playing on a, on a fractured ankle, right? And we didn't know about that for what a month, two months, whatever it was. Like if it, if that came out and it's like, all right, that, that would make a lot more sense and, and would, um, you'd feel better about where Debo's at. But if Debo's healthy and he's playing like this, or, you know, the production is at this level, then you're like, all right, I, I don't really see, like, I don't really feel like there's much of a future here between with, with Debo and the Niners. It feels like, you know, Jerry Jones has got to be frothing at the mouth to, to, you know, make Debo the next Ezekiel Elliott. Oh, dude, he can't wait. He's so excited. Uh, Debo Samuels longest carry of the year this year, by the way, is 12 yards. Yikes. Yeah. Today was the first time we'd had multiple carries since week 10 man, but to your point, like that's the, the pure soul thing, uh, another slow Debo, Samuel Gander nitpicking, like, if you're trying to find stuff that, that went poorly today, but other than that, like, that was a pretty flawless performance from, from the 49ers in a spot where they, you know, if you, to keep, to keep their playoff hopes on life support, they needed to win. And they went out and did so they, they never looked like they were going to trick the game. They didn't, it just, it was dominant start to finish. This scored as many touchdowns in the first quarter as they did in the previous two weeks. Candlestick Chronicles is sponsored by Viya. I am so thrilled to be partnering with Viya. This is one of my new, Viya has become a, a part of my daily life and we'll talk about why here in a second, uh, this holiday season unwind and recharge with Viya, whether you're enjoying a quiet evening at home or embracing the festive cheer via his premium THC and THC free gummies will help you find your perfect holiday balance. And Chris, I think that's honestly my favorite part is that they have something for like, I had a flow state non THC gummy before this podcast. And I noticed that my focus is better. My energy is better and it's just, it's, it's that easy, but if, if you need to take the edge off and you need a little THC, they have two milligrams, five milligrams, 10 milligrams, whatever, whatever you need, Viya's got it for you. Yeah, the flow state, uh, for me is, is one of my favorites. Um, there's, there's no THC in that, but you can, um, you can take one of those and feel really focused and feel productive without like, I think a lot of times when you take caffeine, a lot of people think that's what they need to sort of get, get their mind right and get their energy up. Sometimes it's not just not having a stimulant like caffeine. If you've already had some earlier in the day and you, and you're limiting how much you, you try to drink or whatever, um, something like the flow state is, is kind of a game changer for me and really, really enjoyed using it. Yeah, and I mean the Niners went out there 10 and 7 and the way it's looking right now like the NFC kind of sneaky better than it then it then it then it seemed coming into the season like if you would have told me in the beginning of the season 10 and 7 would miss the playoffs I would be like you're no there's no way there aren't that many good teams in the NFC yeah oh like Washington's eight and five they're the seven seed right now Green Bay's nine and four there's a six seed Minnesota's the five seed and they're eleven and two that's so crazy I mean I don't I don't I don't Detroit is 12 and one and clinging for dear life in the division yeah that's crazy yeah yeah so yeah so I the chiefs are twelve and one and clinched their division just now Detroit is twelve and one and may not clench their division until the final week of the season yeah so in the unlikely event that the Niners went out 10 and 7 I mean as of right now looks like it still doesn't get in yeah which is kind of crazy yeah and you had a lot of things to go right in the division yeah well even beyond that like they need Washington to lose games I mean if and if they get in there's no like it's a seven seed and nothing else unless they win the division and get the four but oh yeah yeah but even still but even still if you're the four seed you're hosting Minnesota that sounds horrible if you're the seven seed you're going to Philly or Detroit a yuck I would have I mean if if if the season went as like as poorly as this is gone and they end up with the four seed and hosting Sam Darnold in a playoff game I would feel great about that if I were that I would not I don't think Sam Darnold a playoff game I'm I'm I mean you it's obviously like Justin Jefferson's a problem and their defense is good and stuff but like if you're looking at if you're looking at the entire NFC I think Minnesota would be the team I'd want to play honestly all right Sam Darnold okay I mean maybe Tampa maybe Seattle that team kicked your ass what's that that team kicked your ass already once this year and that was with a healthy backfield you might go into that game with Israel Abana Conda is your starting running back or maybe Patrick Taylor if you're lucky I don't want to get ahead of ourselves and talk about the playoffs I just want to point out or I just like my my opinion is I'm not I know Minnesota's 11 and 2 I'm not worried about Sam Darnold in playoffs okay just not okay Sam Darnold makes it to be clear to be clear I'll leave my words to be clear we're talking very hypothetical here I don't think either Chris nor I believe the 49ers are going to the playoffs no I don't think they're going to the playoffs I'd be telling you Minnesota's one and done you can take that to the bank right now they'd go to Tampa bad probably take Tampa bad in that game anyways I got nothing else that was a fun game I'm glad I got to go with my mom salute my mom yeah so wait give me give me the 30 second breakdown of your of your day go into the game very low key tailgate couple candy crons and some chips and salsa like it was super low key got inside her tickets she has in season tickets and the tickets have access to like the Gratton casino club thing where they got a bunch of different food that's free and they got candy that's free and they got sodas and waters it's free so that was really cool got to see the homie John John Bull salute I purposely avoided my buddy Manny who was there wanted no part to see in that dude but my guy John was there said what's up to him didn't punch him in the face and then went back to my seats and hung out and had a couple drinks and enjoyed the game the guys behind me were were a blast didn't get their names didn't tell him to listen to the pod I'm bad at promoting myself um but they ran a screen to kittle on the second play the game third play the game maybe and they were in a screen and it worked and they were like oh my god they were in a screen and I was like that's amazing I was like I haven't seen him run a screen in super long and I know you asked for 30 seconds but I'm on minute number two now and then the guy goes he was like maybe we'll see play action next and I was like well that's that's on there get ahead of ourselves let's see how this goes then play action on the touchdown to Jennings so we all had a good laugh about that um what was the what was the other thing um I can't remember there's another thing that I that I can't remember that was fun but they still do the au au au after first downs that's got to go that's got to be put to bed of all the things they brought over from candlestick it's like that's the thing that's the candlestick thing that you brought over with you horrible do they still have the fog horn they do right fog horn still goes yeah which is fine I like the fog horn um the au au after first downs is just brutal it's it's it's I don't like it um also the player intros where pa announcer says the first name and then the crowd is all supposed to yell the last name of the player uh bad I get the I get the notion and I think in maybe like a basketball arena that might work but one with this version of the 49ers it's like Ben barge 90 percent of the people in there probably don't know who Ben barge is like it just um and people want to cheer for their favorite players they don't want to have to yell the name as part of crowd participation like the Kyle use check thing when people go Jews like people are just going to do that you don't have to you don't have to have them yell the name I don't like it they need to stop doing it it's bad that's right yeah I I'm with you they started doing that a couple years ago um I think it was a post pandemic thing and yeah I'm just out it doesn't work man like I get the idea it doesn't work though and that's okay they just need to pull the plug yeah I'm with you I'm with you um yeah like get get trying to get 60,000 people to yell mckivets you know just not it doesn't and it's it's no no no no um like you're really gonna force everyone to to yell Jake Brenda's name like that's something we want to do oh I remember um the the guys behind me after the bears scored to make it 24 to 6 uh one of the guys goes is this do you do you come to every game and I was like no no this is the first one I've been to in a long time and he starts like letting me in on the 49ers struggles to close out games as though I've not watched a game all year and I'm like I was like well hang on I watch I follow them very closely you can read me and listen to my podcast um but yeah no I thought that was funny he was like oh it's not oh well this has been going on all year they just they can't close it no I know dog I watch not new anyways yeah I'd agree yeah that's always that's always awkward I I took like when I'm in public um and like people try to like people talk about I very rarely want to like like I'm with you I'm like not a self-promoter mm-hmm not like oh yeah I have a podcast if you want my takes like chain like I'll just like let the person talk and speak yep yep no you're right that's cool yeah no totally agree like yeah I don't want like like oh everybody has a podcast so if I'm like yeah I have a podcast I'm afraid which is like the right thing because they're not gonna be like oh let me go listen if I'm like hey yeah you guys should listen it's candles to chronicles yeah um walk around green lot one holding a candles to chronicles beer hoping someone would recognize me all right well we will pod again later in the week probably only one before the Thursday night game talk Niners Rams looks like the Rams had a had a pretty interesting game today against the the bills of Buffalo um winning that game 44 to 42 um does Josh Allen have what it takes to win games yeah I mean six touchdowns does he have any pride what does Josh Allen need to do um all right we're gonna get out of here we appreciate everyone hanging with us Rock was good today it doesn't change my mind sorry Nate asked Nate Thomas in the chat asked a question earlier uh no I'm still TBD on bra you're still CBD yeah yeah I'm probably today unequivocally outstanding today yeah no notes my line is I'm probably leery of spending 60 million dollars a year yes but if you get rocket 45 million dollars a year I think that's probably fine I agree with you that's where I'm at so okay um all right we'll talk to you guys later in the week and uh we'll try to edit out some of the connection issues we had sorry um on the on the audio version
