This is AP News, I'm Rita Folle. Four people dead in those fast-moving thunderstorms that pounded southeastern Texas, Houston Mayor John Whittmeyer tells KTRKTV. We had a storm with 100 miles per hour winds, the equivalent of Hurricane Ike, considerable damage downtown. Bob Oravec of the National Weather Service on What Now. Thunderstorms have moved pretty quickly across the Gulf Coast overnight and into the early morning hours. They're not as strong as they were earlier and some of the strongest thunderstorms at the moment are actually off the Florida Panhandle Coast. The first shipment of aid that's so desperately needed in Gaza has now been driven across that newly built US pier, the AP's Charles D'Litesma. Trucks carrying badly needed aid for the gunner's strip have rolled across a floating pier, newly built by the US into the besieged enclave for the first time. This is part of an operation that military officials anticipate could scale up to 150 truckloads a day entering the Gaza Strip as Israel presses in on the southern city of Rafa. It's seven-month offensive against Hamas raging on. Before the war, more than 500 truckloads entered Gaza on an average day, Israeli restrictions on board crossings and heavy fighting, hinder food and other supplies, reaching people there. I'm Charles D'Litesma. President Putin said this morning that Moscow's offensive in Ukraine's Harkiv region is intended to create a buffer zone. He says Russia has no plans to capture the city. Reports reporting in monthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society say the two consolidated just 740 million years after the universe forming Big Bang. One black hole is more than 50 million times more massive than our Sun. The other is thought to be similar in size, but it's buried in dense gas, which makes it harder to measure. Until now, astronomers weren't sure how supermassive black holes got so big. But latest findings suggest mergers or how black holes can grow so rapidly, even at cosmic dawn. I'm Ben Thomas. A rescue operation to find missing construction workers trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building in South Africa is ending today. At least 33 people have been confirmed dead. I'm Rita Foley, AP News. So the quarterly projections are in the red area there, and these numbers, I guess, should be higher. This doesn't make any sense. Wait, you're not even our finance director.
