AP News, I met Donahue, National Security spokesman John Kirby says the U.S. is offering official condolences to Iran for the death of President Ibrahim Raisi. But no question, this was a man who had a lot of blood on his hands. Raisi and Iran's foreign minister were killed in a helicopter crash, so far no cause of the crash has been released. President Biden says it's outrageous, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the move by a war crimes prosecutor to seek his arrest for war crimes. Karim Khan is the prosecutor. The crimes include starvation of civilians as a method of warfare, willfully causing great suffering, serious injury to body or health or cruel treatment. Leaders of Hamas were also mentioned for arrest over fighting in Gaza in Israel. In cross-examination, Donald Trump's former lawyer and former fixer Michael Cohen admitted he stole from the Trump Organization after his annual holiday bonus was slashed to $50,000 from the $150,000 he usually received. One of Donald Trump's supporters who has been in the courthouse in New York is former New York Police Commissioner Bernard Karik. Cohen is not only a lawyer, but he's just admitted to being a thief, he stole money from the Trump Organization, he's admitted it on the stand. My question is, why hasn't it been prosecuted? Why hasn't it been prosecuted? Jurors in Trump's hush money trial in New York remain largely engaged with Michael Cohen's testimony, but some appear to be dragging as his testimony stretched on for a fourth day. The Environmental Protection Agency is warning cyber attacks against water utilities across the country are becoming more frequent and more severe. It issued an enforcement alert urging water systems to take immediate actions to protect the nation's drinking water. This is AP News. The Supreme Court will not hear a challenge to a Maryland law banning assault rifles. The law was part of a sweeping gun control measure passed after the 2012 Sandy Hook School massacre. The challengers include gun rights groups who say the weapons are among the nation's most popular and banning them violates the Second Amendment. Maryland argues the weapons can be banned because they're highly dangerous. The High Court did not comment in declining to hear the appeal. It would have been unusual for the justices to take up the case at this point because a lower court is still weighing it. The Supreme Court is also considering an appeal over a similar Illinois law. In a change in policy, a new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics says people with HIV can breastfeed their babies as long as they are taking medications that effectively suppress the virus that causes AIDS.
