So Cohen gave the company 20,000 from his own money and got the 50,000 and then some back from the Trump Organization, telling jurors I was angered because of the reduction in the bonus and so I just felt like it was self-help. Cohen also testifying he sought that reimbursement at the same time he was seeking payment for the money he paid Stormy Daniels, Trump denies falsifying business records to cover that payment. After the prosecution rested its case, the defense called former federal prosecutor Robert Castello, the judge briefly halted proceedings to admonish him for his behavior on the stand, including making comments under his breath. The chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Ohio's Sherrod Brown, is calling on President Biden to replace the chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, following a report about a toxic workplace culture at the agency. The Dow slipped 196 points at about half a percent. The Dow closed above 40,000 for the first time on Friday. Norwegian Cruise Line helped lead the market higher. The company added 7.6 percent after giving financial forecasts that topped analysts' expectations. Treasury yields were relatively steady in the bond market.
