Are we seeing the revitalization of conservative civilization? All over the world has been a massive backlash against globalization, its leftist leadership, and its anti-cultural liberal values. And it's just the beginning. I'm Dr. Steve Turley. I believe the liberal globalist world is at its brink, and a new conservative age is rising. Join me every day as we examine these worldwide trends, discover answers to today's toughest challenges. And together, learn to live in the present in life of even better things to cover. This is Turley Talks. Michael Cohen. So you only gave him $20,000, and you took $30,000. Blanche, you stole from the Trump organization, right? Cohen says, "Yes, sir." Blanche goes on later on, he says, "You did steal from the Trump organization based upon the expected reimbursement." Correct? And he says, "Yes, sir." But this is significant because they appear to have caught Cohen in another lie. And so far there is no direct link. Prude and beyond are reasonable doubt to the defendant in this alleged conspiracy. There is a lot of evidence that has been presented. There's testimony from Michael Cohen. There's testimony from others about conversations. But that is the goal of the defense team. And this right here, this line of questioning so far, they have established that Cohen may have lied in order to get some of this money. Bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye. Thank you very much for coming, appreciate it. Bye-bye. Thank you very much. Bye-bye. Thank you. Bye-bye. Go have a good day. Bye. Bye. Bing. Bing. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Bye-bye, folks. Bye-bye. If Thursday was Alvin Bragg's coffin, today was the hammer and nails. Today was the hammer that nailed this case shot or as CNN is putting it to change the metaphor, today's Cohen testimony was a bomb that blew up the entire prosecution. Roll it. Here's another metaphor. This is a bomb. This is really important. This is a bomb dropped in the middle of the prosecution's case. Two reasons. Michael Cohen was stealing from Donald Trump. He was lying to people about what he was doing with money. He pocketed at least the $30,000 by lying to Weisselberg. It's twice really, by the way, because remember they double it to avoid tax reasons. So $60,000, which, by the way, this is crushing to the prosecution's credibility, because the prosecution did not ask Michael Cohen about that on direct and they haven't made him plead guilty to larceny, which this is, so let's start with that. The other reason it's so important is the money that Michael Cohen stole from under Donald Trump's nose. By his own admission today. By his own admission was part of the $420,000 that Michael Cohen was reimbursed for Stormy Daniels. So the heart of the prosecution's cases, that whole setup where they were going to repay Michael Cohen $420,000 to reimburse him for Stormy Daniels, that was all done to pay Stormy Daniels. Trump knew it. Trump knew every penny. That's why he's guilty. Now it turns out Trump is getting robbed by his own guy. I mean, my question here is why has no one coached Michael Cohen or why does Michael Cohen not say when asked on this on cross, I don't recall. I mean, isn't that kind of the universal? Apparently he does recall though, and he doesn't recall the lie. But Tim, is this, I mean, we've been wondering all along, all you need is one juror to say I have reasonable doubt. What's your, I mean, what's your assessment of whether or not any reasonable juror would have reasonable doubt based on this information? Well, I think this is significant for reasonable doubt purposes. You now have two major issues, you know, one of the phone calls that wasn't what he originally talked about and the calculation of the money that wasn't what he originally talked about. And it's not only, you know, going to his credibility, but it also goes to Alvin Bragg's office's credibility. Because I don't think not get this out ahead of time. Exactly. No idea. And you have two different things. You know, when it comes to the, the Schiller call, they're going to argue the jury. How did they not know that? Why did we have to bring it out? We got it from the texts that we got from discovery from them. And apparently, Michael Cohen said they never asked him about it. They didn't figure it out. No, he says Cohen, Cohen says he has told right multiple prosecutors with the D.S. office about it. Correct. Assuming that's true. I mean, we don't, you know, again, we don't know if that's true, there's star witness. There's so well. Cohen has, of course, said multiple times that he told blah, blah, blah, but, you know, we don't know if that's true. They're openly admitting that you cannot trust the star witness and the prosecution. They're openly admitting it on C on freaking N. Well, he said and informed others about it. But we can't trust a word. This guy, Michael Cohen says, and neither can the jury, obviously, and did you hear that? Did you hear that course? But wait, what, why on earth didn't they coach Michael Cohen to just say, I don't recall. Well, why didn't Michael Cohen just answer the way every other sleaze ball and the swamp answers those kinds of questions? I can't recall you remember Fauci, Fauci, and one of his, uh, depositions. He said, I don't recall nearly 200 times. That's the classic slime ball response in the CNN correspondent knows it and she's in on it. All in and she is beside herself, how Michael Cohen did not get coached to answer in the typical sleaze ball swamp creature way. Why didn't somebody coach him to avoid answering the question legally? That's why they're so upset here. You see, look, you can see it. And they're so upset here because this was the prosecution start this. This was my, this was Michael Cohen finally getting his revenge on his old boss who throw him under the bus. He, he, and in so doing, he was representing the whole of the resistance against Donald J. Trump. This was his moment. This was our moment. We were finally, finally get to get rid of Donald and he blew it and he bad twice, twice. So first last Thursday, right, let's stroll through recent memory lane here. First last Thursday, the prosecution's entire case, establishing Trump's direct link to the hush money payment. For Trump, they have no evidence that Trump even knew about the payment, right? Trump did not himself make the payment to Michael Cohen. It was the Trump organization. Trump himself has maintained he didn't know about it. He didn't direct it. And again, to add insult to injury, even if he did, it's not a crime. It's not a crime to pay someone hush money, celebrities do it all the time. But regardless, the prosecution is trying to tie Trump directly to this payment. And it all came down to a single phone call, a single phone call that Michael Cohen made to Trump's head of security to inform him that the Stormy Daniels payment had was taken care of. Do we have a recording of that? No. Do we have any record of that? No. All that the entire phone call is 100% Michael Cohen claiming alleging that it happened 100%. Michael Cohen claims he alleges he testifies to the fact that. He called Trump's head of security one night and formed him that the Stormy Daniels hush money payment was all taken care of. So I can't say the big guy because that would be Joe Biden. Let Trump know that. As it turns out, that was the prosecution's entire sole link between Trump and the hush money payment. And as it turns out, Trump's defense objectively demonstrated the call never happened. Trump's defense attorney on Thursday showed Michael Cohen in court in a Perry Mason moment, a sheet of text messages from Cohen's own phone records, the night he claimed to make the call, and it turns out not only did he not at any point make that call, but it turns out that he to the extent that he did get in touch with the Secret Service, he was trying to sick the Secret Service detail, Trump's Secret Service detail on a 14 year old kid who was harassing him with prank calls. I mean, you cannot make this stuff up. Trump's lawyers armed with the objective proof of Cohen's own phone records demonstrated for everyone in that courtroom that that phone call that Cohen claimed happened never actually happened. He then caught Cohen in a blatant lie when he asked Cohen, did you ever ask Trump to part in you? Did you ever lobby Trump to part in you? And he said, on the witness stand, Cohen said, no, I never ever did that. And so Trump's attorney's attorney's going, oh, really? What do we have here? And he produces a letter written by Cohen himself asking Trump to do precisely that to part in it. So we got caught lying at least twice on the witness stand. I mean, blatantly, and as a result, this judge to the extent that he even has any semblance of integrity left. This judge is going to have to instruct the jury at the end of this entire process before they go to deliberation. This judge is going to have to instruct the jury that if they believe any of the witnesses were lying at any point in their testimonies, they are to disregard the whole of their testimony. If they lied in one part, that calls into question the credibility of the whole. So Cohen is just torpedoed the sole direct link that the prosecution had between Trump and the Hashemani payment. And then today, as if it couldn't get any worse today, he admitted that he was stealing money from Trump. This is what the panel at CNN just can't, they can't fathom, how did he openly admit that he was committing larceny, which is even a worse offense than what Trump is being tried on, campaign finance violation. I mean, again, you just can't make this stuff up. Under cross examination, Cohen confessed to embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump organization, if I remember all told it was 50 grand, that he kept for himself, he was supposed to pay it to a campaign organization called Red Finch, Red Finch got $20,000. And then for whatever reason, never asked for the other 50,000. And Cohen freaking kept it. And he admitted to that in court, it was an absolute bombshell. Not only is he lying, he's engaged in larceny. So where do we go from here? Well, I think the former US Department of Justice, Assistant AG, Jeff Clark, I think he said it very well, he put out a tweet today, first and foremost, the defense is going to ask this judge, this utterly corrupt kangaroo court judge for what's called a directed verdict in Trump's favor. So in other words, what should happen is, judge merchant should order a directed verdict, which would that would bypass the jury, right? So the judge would intervene and he would personally declare the defendant Trump not guilty on the basis that he has determined the evidence is totally insufficient to sustain a conviction. The conviction would be inevitably overturned upon appeal, and he's not even going to give it to the jury, right? So the defense is going to ask for directed verdict. The judge would have to have a semblance of integrity. I don't know if he does at this point. From what I have seen, this is, this is a kangaroo court. This is deliberately there to get it into the hands of the jury. So failing that, the jury obviously should quit. The jury should dismiss this case, hands up. We don't even freaking know what the crime is that Trump is being accused of. We do not know what the crime is. What is the crime that he is actually trying to cover up? What is it? We don't know. You ask five people, you'll get six different opinions of what the crime is. So the jury should acquit. At the very least, we should hope for a hung jury. All you need is one person with a soul on that jury, a conscience that's still intact to find Trump not guilty, right? And this whole thing is over. You got a hung jury. Knowing that the New York appellate division should reverse the conviction immediately. This thing gets appealed. It's immediately overturned. Failing that, the New York Supreme Court should reverse this conviction as soon as possible. And then failing that the US Supreme Court should intervene and reverse the New York courts. Regardless, at some point in the appellate process, this thing is going to get reversed. Most legal scholars agree with that. All the Dems are doing, as we all know, is they're deliberately trying to interfere on the election by roughing Trump up enough with female swing voters to keep Biden in the White House. It's not going to happen, but that's all they're trying to do. They're trying to keep them off the campaign trail. They're trying to tar and feather him with being a convicted felon, and they're just going to keep hammering that. And they have polls that they actually believe that show Trump is going to get a popularity hit with that. It's not happening. Trump's poll numbers, we talked about it in today's first video. Trump's poll numbers continue to skyrocket. They continue to go up and Biden's numbers continue to implode. So of course, we'll see what happens. And this whole thing may be wrapped up by the end of the week. Too bad, because this has been one of the most amazing political gifts Trump has ever could have ever dreamed of getting. It's endearing him with the non-white vote, Latino and black, because they see him as being a victim of a rigged system that many of them feel like they're victims of. So he's one of them. And it's all it's doing is it's galvanizing him with the rural white vote, because again, they don't participate in politics because they think it's all rigged to begin with. So in rigging the system against Trump, all the Democrats have done is given him more support than he would have had if they just played fair and square. So that's the irony is that this is blowing back against them. This is boomeranging against the Democrats in a way I think they never imagined their worst nightmares.
