AP News, I'm Adonihy, the families of 19 people killed in the 2022 U Valley Elementary School shooting in Texas say they're suing nearly a hundred state police officers who were part of the law enforcement response. Josh Koskoff is their attorney. Of the 376 officers, not all of them fail to do their job, okay? And there was a collective failure here. Sure that no disciplinary action has been taken, none against any of these 376 officers. Think about that. The families also agreed to a $2 million settlement with the city of U Valley under which leaders promised higher standards and better training for local police. Three countries, Norway, Ireland and Spain, say they would recognize a Palestinian state. It's a mostly symbolic move. National security adviser Jake Sullivan responded. Each country is entitled to make its own determinations, but the U.S. position on this is clear. President Biden, as I just said, has been on the record supporting a two-state solution. While mauling the hiker, the grisly bit into the man's can of bear repellent and was hit with a burst of it, the hiker pretended to be dead while he was being bitten and made it safely to a hospital.
