AP News. I'm Edunny. Severe weathering Greenfield, Iowa is blamed for at least one death. The Adams County Sheriff's Office says a woman died when her vehicle was blown off the road during the storms. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is in that area. It's just gut wrenching. I mean, I was just in Minden as I said three and a half weeks ago and that was horrific and I think there's even more debris and just more impaction, more impacted here. So it is just horrific. It's hard to describe until you can actually see it the devastation. The tornado that tore through Greenfield damaged the local hospital and twisted and toppled wind turbines. The families of 19 of the victims of Texas's U Valley School shooting are suing nearly a hundred state police officers over response to that shooting in 2022. Here's the AP's Mike Kempin. The families also say they have agreed to a $2 million settlement with the city with city leaders promising higher standards and better training for local officers. This Friday is the two-year anniversary of the Rob Elementary shooting. 19 fourth-graders and two teachers died when a teenage gunman burst into their classroom and began shooting. More than 370 federal state and local officers arrived on the scene, but they waited more than 70 minutes before confronting the shooter. I'm Mike Kempin. A judge in Los Angeles is granting President Biden's son Hunter a delay in the start of his trial in federal tax charges to September. It was supposed to start next month. A farm worker in Michigan has been diagnosed with bird flu. Health officials say the symptoms are mild. The person has been in contact with cows presumed to be infected and the risk to the public remains low. A lawyer for Walt Nada, Donald Trump's personal valet, accused federal prosecutors of targeting him because he refused to cooperate against the former president in the Florida classified documents case. A British lawmaker is back at work six months after sepsis forced the amputation of his hands and feet. Conservative legislator Craig McKinley receives a standing ovation in the House of Commons for the weekly prime minister's question session. McKinley says he wants to be known as the bionic lawmaker and plans to campaign for greater awareness of sepsis. He's recounted in interviews how he was taken to hospital. The 57 year old said he turned bright blue as sepsis calls cotton to stop the blood getting to his limbs. He was put in an induced coma and later his hands and feet were amputated below the joints.
