This is AP News, I'm Rita Falle. We'll begin with that brutal weather that's left several people dead in Iowa, the AP's Donna Warder. The storm killed several people when it ripped through Greenfield, Iowa Tuesday. Leaving destroyed homes, crumpled cars and spluttered trees. Such an Alex Dinkla of the Iowa State Patrol says they're still counting the dead. If there are any family members or friends that are unable to reach any loved ones, we do encourage people to reach out to our Iowa Department of Public Safety, Storm Lake State Radio Community Exchange Center. Meteorologist Tony Frakasil of the Storm Prediction Center says part of that same storm could hit areas of Arkansas and Texas today. Russia's defense ministry says it's begun a round of drills involving tactical nuclear weapons. Officials say it's a response to remarks by Western officials about the possibility of deeper involvement in the war in Ukraine. The announcement came after French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated that he doesn't exclude sending troops to Ukraine and UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron said keeps forces and will be able to use British long-range weapons to strike targets inside Russia. That's a decision for Ukraine and Ukraine has that right. Just as Russia is striking inside Ukraine, you can quite understand why Ukraine feels the need to make sure it's defending itself. It's getting the Russians out of its country and it has the ability to strike back. Comments to Kremlin has called dangerous. I'm Ben Thomas. The DAO gained 66 points yesterday.
