A.P. News. I'm Hannah Punjwani. The U.S. Senate is holding a test vote on a border bill as Democrats seek to underscore Republican resistance. And remarks Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says the GOP cannot let partisanship get in the way of passing a border security bill. If Republicans were truly serious about calling the situation at the border an emergency, they shouldn't delay any longer. You can't call something an emergency one day and then suddenly kick the can down the road the next day. A multi-million dollar fine has been imposed for robocalls during the New Hampshire presidential primary. A.V. correspondent Jackie Quinn reports. A political consultant is being fined millions of dollars for distributing artificial intelligence robocalls in January that sounded like President Biden sending a false message. The message falsely suggested that voting in the New Hampshire primary would preclude voters from casting a ballot again during the November election. And it included one of Biden's famous phrases, "Molarchy." The political consultant Steve Kramer's being fined $6 million by the Federal Communications Commission and also faces two dozen criminal charges. He admitted orchestrating the message, but had said it was designed to be a wake-up call about artificial intelligence. The FCC called the robocalls unnerving and also fined lingo telecom $2 million for transmitting them. I'm Jackie Quinn. Bad weather could continue in Iowa at a news conference meteorologist Donna Duburk with the National Weather Service says the hardest hit community, Greenfield, Iowa, experienced damage from a tornado moving 50 miles an hour. At that speed, that's about a mile a minute. So the damage path across Greenfield is about one mile long as the crow flies, which means it took just about one minute for the devastation in Greenfield. That audio is courtesy of W-O-I-TV. This is AP News. The United Nations approved a resolution today establishing an annual day to commemorate the 1995 genocide of more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslims by Bosnian Serbs. It's a move that's vehemently opposed by Serbs, who fear it will brand them as genocidal supporters of the mass killing. The vote in the General Assembly of 193 members was 84 to 19 with 68 nations abstaining. Norfolk Southern will pay a $15 million fine as part of a federal settlement over the Ohio train derailment. Norfolk Southern promised to pay more than $300 million to complete the efforts to improve safety that it announced after the crash and address community health concerns. Residents who had to evacuate their homes after the derailment were generally underwhelmed by the deal that the Environmental Protection Agency, in Justice Department, announced. The federal settlement comes two days after a federal judge signed off on the railroad's $600 million class action settlement with residents whose lives were disrupted. I'm Haya Punjwani.
