In Louisiana, Governor Jeff Landry has signed a bill classifying two abortion-inducing drugs as controlled and dangerous substances. Opponents say the drugs have other critical reproductive health care uses. A New Jersey electrician who repeatedly attacked police officers during the January 6th Capitol riot has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Christopher Joseph Quaglin argued with and insulted the judge before receiving one of the longest prison sentences among hundreds of Capitol riot cases. And in New Mexico, a judge has rejected Alec Baldwin's bid to dismiss a criminal charge against him in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halina Hutchins on the set of his movie, Rust.
