AP News, I'm Haya Pindjorni, with Korea fired barrage of suspected ballistic missiles towards its eastern sea according to South Korea's military, just days after its attempt to launch a military reconnaissance satellite ended in failure but still drew strong condemnation from its rivals. Authorities have arrested a man who's allegedly running the world's largest-ever cybercrime botnet. AP's Lisa Dwyer reports, "An international law enforcement team has arrested a Chinese national and disrupted a major botnet that officials say he ran for nearly a decade. Officials say that Yang Jie Wang sold access to the 19 million Windows computers he hijacked worldwide, more than 613,000 in the United States, to criminals who used that access to commit a staggering array of crimes that victimized children, threatened people safety, and defrauded financial institutions and federal lending programs." The U.S. Department of Justice quoted FBI Director Christopher Wray as saying that the botnet with a network of malware-infected computers in nearly 200 countries was likely the world's largest. The jury in Donald Trump's Hushmani trial ended its first day of deliberations without a verdict. The panel asked Wednesday to rehear a potentially crucial testimony about the alleged Hushmani scheme at the heart of the history-making case. Jurors also asked to rehear at least part of the judge's legal instructions. The notes sent to the judge were the first burst of communication with the court after the jury of seven men and five women was sent to a private room just before 11.30am to begin weighing a verdict. AP Washington correspondent Sagar McGonney reports, "In letters to lawmakers, Alito says his wife was responsible for flying an upside-down flag at their home three years ago and an appeal to heaven flag at their New Jersey beach house last year. Both flags were carried by rioters during the 2021 Capitol attack. The Supreme Court is considering two major cases related to the riot and Alito says neither flag incident merits stepping aside from them. In nearly identical letters to House and Senate Democrats, Alito writes he was unaware the upside-down flag was flying at his house until it was brought to his attention.
