South Korea's military says North Korea has fired at least one ballistic missile towards its eastern waters, adding to a streak of weapons demonstrations that has raised tensions. The first day of jury deliberations in Donald Trump's criminal hash money trial concluded today after the panel sent their first two notes to the judge this afternoon, just a few hours after beginning deliberations. It's a Biden witch hunt, this weaponization. - A kid is being honored for a good deed. - A fifth grader in Missouri is having an award named after him after clearing his school of lunch debt. 11-year-old Dacon Kramer in Blue Springs, Missouri near Kansas City posted a video last month, challenging friends, family, and even strangers and businesses to pay off the meal debt at his elementary school. The goal was $3,500. Dacon raised $7,300, enough to pay all the lunch debt at his school and nearly $4,000 to reduce meal debt at the local high school as well. The soon-to-be middle schooler said, "You just wanted to do something kind and say thank you to the school." During fifth grade graduation, Dacon's teacher announced an annual award will be named after him, the Dacon Kramer Legacy Award, to honor students who go above and beyond. I'm Ed Donahue. - AP News Director for Israel and Palestinian Territories, Joseph Fetterman reports, Israel says it's now in control of a section of land that will allow it to put pressure on Hamas. - This is known as the Philadelphia Corridor. It runs the entire length of the border. That's about 14 kilometers or eight miles in length. It's important because Hamas for years has smuggled weapons through underground tunnels from Egypt into Gaza. - This is AP News. A Louisiana chemical plant threatens to shut down if an EPA emissions deadline isn't relaxed. - Denka Performance, Elastomer, and Louisiana, threatened to shut down at the Biden administration, does not give it more time to reduce its emissions. The company makes the synthetic rubber neoprene and federal officials have accused the plant of increasing cancer risk to the nearby majority black community. - The Environmental Protection Agency in April imposed new emission rules on more than 200 industrial facilities. Denka argues that more dangerous facilities face a two-year deadline, but says that they instead were singled out with a much shorter 90-day deadline. Denka wants a federal appeals court to block the agency from enforcing that deadline.
