AP News. I'm Ed Donohue. The jury has started deliberating in New York and former President Donald Trump's hush money trial. We'll see how we do. It's a very disgraceful situation. Judge Juan Mershon gave the jury instructions. How long deliberations will last as anyone's guess? The AP's Michael Sisec is outside the courthouse in New York. The charges against Trump involve allegations of falsifying business records. Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 accounts of that charge, which alleges that he logged reimbursements to his former lawyer Michael Cohen, not as reimbursement, but as legal expenses. The jury's discussions will be secret, though they can send notes to the judge asking to rehear testimony or see evidence. A top Israeli official is giving a grim prediction for the war with Hamas and says it will likely last through the end of the year. Meantime, the Israeli military says three soldiers were killed in Rafa. Israel media adds the soldiers were killed when a booby trap exploded on Tuesday, adding that three other soldiers were wounded. Meanwhile, Palestinians report heavy fighting in different parts of Rafa. Israel appears to be broadening its incursion, which has already caused over one million people to flee the city.
