AP News. Good morning. I'm Ed Donahue. The jury is receiving instructions from Judge Juan Mershan in the Hush Money trial of former President Donald Trump. The AP's Julie Walker is in New York. Arriving at court for jury deliberations in his Hush Money trial, Donald Trump did not stop to speak to reporters as he typically does before court each day. He had family by his side, his son Don Jr. Trump walked into the courtroom wearing a gold tie surveying the crowd as he appeared to purse his lips. Trump faces 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to cover Hush Money payments. Jurors could convict him of all counts, acquit him of all counts, or deliver a mixed verdict, in which he's found guilty of some charges and not others. If they did lock, known as a hung jury, the judge may declare a mistrial. At Criminal Court in Manhattan, I'm Julie Walker. In that same courthouse later today, Harvey Weinstein is expected to appear before a judge. The former movie producer is awaiting a retrial on rape charges after his 2020 conviction was tossed out. French President Emmanuel Macron is joining the head of NATO and pushing for a policy shift that would change the complexion of the war in Ukraine, allowing Kyiv to strike military bases inside Russia with sophisticated long-range weapons provided by Western partners. Widespread power outages remain in Texas because of severe weather. A teenager was killed at a construction site while working on a home that collapsed. Stocks are pulling back on Wall Street and trimming their gains for May, which had been on track to be the market's best month in the last six. The S&P 500 was down 8/10% Wednesday, sinking further below the record high it set last week. The Dow lost 373 points. That's about 1%, and as that composite fell 7/10% after setting its latest all-time high. American Airlines led a slump in airline stocks after cutting its profit forecast. American descended 13%. Marathon Oil jumped almost 9% after agreeing to be acquired by Conoco Phillips. It was the latest big corporate deal in the oil industry. Another tick higher in long-term treasure yields was also weighing on the stock market. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 4.60%. Seth Toutel, New York.
